Great gym for students and the staff is friendly. Plenty of squat+bench racks.

Very nice and clean facility. Seats are plastic with metal support. They can get warm on a sunny day. No shade in stands.

This old old gym has been enlarged twice; ounce to expand from having a single cramped basket ball court to having four more and also a weight room for the student athletes and a fitness center for normal students and staff. Secondly a pool was added on the opposite side that has a glass wall that can fold away in warm weather! The old interior walls that show the old end of the original building remain inside and the clock tower still operates as well .

Decent place for working out. The problem I have is how close the machines are to each other. It’s dangerous trying to get between two machines, like the bikes or treadmills, to get on.

UMKC charged me for a gym membership and closed down and have refused to give me a refund. After being a member for 15 years and an Alumni, its disappointing to know that the University is desperate to rip off its patrons.

This is a nice recreation facility for the students and teams at UMKC. There are locker rooms, a swimming pool with retractable roof and diving boards, basketball courts, a small soccer stadium, an indoor track, an outdoor track, a good size weight room and machine exercise room, racquetball courts and more. It is good that the students have access to these facilities.

Facilities are great! equipment is stable and handles weight well. Showers are hot and clean. One of my favorite gyms

A very good recreation center indeed. A decent gym, indoor and outdoor running track, 6 lane swimming and few more facilities are available for students as well as outsiders.

Very good service. To me they have very good equipment. I love the music that plays in the background and the shows they put on the TV. But just as in every gym, bring headphones!

Great place to work out! Fitness center machines are up to date. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Its also very convenient that they offer towels and locks for the locker room.

Great deal for former UM system students. They have an indoor track, pool, and plenty of full cages for lifting.

Affordable membership, friendly staff, anf it has a pool which for me made it a clear choice. They have different plans that range in price a bit but it averages around $30 a month. So.e plans are cheaper.

The gym umkc has a lot of potential, brand new equipment including new free weights, cable systems and bench press stations. The problem is the lack of clean airflow, they need to find a way to increase circulation between the weight room and the rest of the center or clean more often.

Doesnt cater to everyone. Most universities dont make full time students who already pay for a membership pay extra for classes. My suggestion would be to make group fitness available to all members for those of us that would like a little guidance during our workout.

Nice sporting event space but not being allowed to bring food or drinks into the venu is a bumme. Plus, parking leaves something to be desired. Beware, if your event is on a weekday, you will have to pay an arm and a leg for parking or they will ticket you in .5 seconds flat.

Four basketball courts, nice facility, and plenty of seating.

This is a great recently center its really clean and quiet. Sometimes it can get a bit crowded though

Its a good gym, but I think they should focus more in the hygiene of the showers, I have seen soap scum in the walls for the past 4 weeks and even though I mentioned this in the comments, there have been no change.

Awesome place for workout and refreshment. It had group fitness, Pool with Sauna steam, Badminton, soccer, basketball, locker rooms.

Nice facilities with a pool and sauna. Expensive af if you’re not currently enrolled as a student.
