I really appreciate the time that Roy and Jaz took in order to explain everything to me and my different options for servicing. They were able to squeeze me in super fast on a Monday when other auto shops couldnt get me an appointment for a week or more. They replaced my battery in no time, and they even attached my license plates (I had rusted out holes in my trunk so I wasnt able to attach them myself). The long-haired dude at the front counter was super friendly and personable, and the woman I talked to on the phone was very helpful as well. Nobody wants to spend their day at a mechanics paying for unexpected car issues, so Im really happy to have found a place thats quick, affordable, with easy-going employees. Also, the A.C. was really nice. 10/10 recommend.

And my expected wait was a couple hours and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Will definitely be using them for all future repairs/maintenance. The manager, Jess, was absolutely helpful in squeezing me in for service and also beat a competitor price on tires!!! I couldn’t have been happier with the professionalism and service at the Midtown KC Complete Auto.

Had a scheduled appointment on a Wednesday. Was told Id hear something by the end of the day. I called at close for an update, was told they got busy and would get to it the next day. I didnt hear anything the next day. So I called again, same story. Long story short, I didnt get an actual phone call from the shop until ONE MONTH LATER. Like I get it, youre busy and parts are hard to find. But stringing me along, promising to call over and over, and never calling, is unacceptable. On the invoice, I was charged 4x for what the part cost should have been ($80 for a $20 part) and of course I was gouged on labor. I dont know if they think Im stupid, or easily manipulated, but they wont EVER get my business again.

Roy was very honest with me from the beginning, which is so much appreciated since Im a single woman depending on honestly when it comes to my car. His honestly helped me make an informed decision.

Its a great place to take your car to do they do good work the courteous youre clean as far as your auto shop I would take my car there again.

These guys are the best in the area hands down. As someone who doesn’t know much about cars and has had very bad experiences with vehicles I have never felt taken advantage of or dismissed. Always a fair price and willing to work with me, I cannot recommend them enough.

We have used KC Complete over the past several years and have had excellent service and a quick turn around time. The service writers are always helpful in explaining what is going on with each vehicle and giving a time frame of when the service or repairs should be completed.

I took my truck in on saturday 8/14/21 called in the morning and roy told me if I could get it there right away he could get to it that day, he called just before they closed and told me they didnt get to it but if I would leave it they would get to it first thing monday. he called me monday morning to tell me it needed all new rotors and new calipers costing over 1000 dollars, so I told him I could not do that right now. he then told me that he would get the pads put on and call me back. then about 15 minutes later he called and said they couldnt get the calipers to move to put on the new pads, so they put it back together and I picked it up, I drove it right to a Calverts auto and they said they would check it out the next day, they put the new brakes on and called me before 11:00 and said it was ready to pick up. I guess its the mechanics that you have and how much money they can get from you that matters. I tried to give them no stars, avoid this place at all costs or it may really COST you!

My mom was at the Plaza Apple store and got a nail in her tire. We live all the way in Buckner and knew she couldn’t drive back with it like that. We called these folks and, without hesitation, Jess told her to head on over. The mechanic pushed back his own lunch break to accommodate my mom’s tire, got everything squared away without a bit of fuss, and she was back on her way within about twenty minutes! Truly can’t recommend them enough.

I went in for in alignment, tire rotation, and balancing. They would not align my wheels unless I paid a $90 fee “inspection fee” before the cost of alignment. when I got my car back I had a brake light on which was not there when I dropped the car off. This repair shop is definitely a scam to take your money.

If I could I would give 10 stars. Great service. Wonderful employees. Very polite and professional with a hint of southern hospitality. I will recommend to everyone. I will be returning for future mechanic work needed to my car. Thanks for the great service. Please dont change. I took mine to the troost location in kc,mo. Give them a call..

Yeah go to the one up north, on McGee, this Main Street shop… meh they’re pretty much salesman, and in need of minimum two days for any technician to get a job done..

I called telling them I already had break pads, the lady was rude and told me if you have break pads, thats like bringing eggs into Dennis. I thought they offered auto service but I guess not.

This shop is great. Had gone in several times with my old car and was always treated respectfully. The polite and competent staff are honest about the work that needs done and always do a solid job. Went in recently with my new car and they worked with my extended warranty company to make sure the experience went smoothly. They also let me know about upcoming issues that will need handled in upcoming visits.

Friendly service, decent prices and good location. Called for oil change and tire rotation and was able to get in within a good time frame. Car was free of grease and stains when we picked up, which is more than i can say when taking the car to a dealership for service. They also take weekend appointments which is great for our schedule. Will definitely be back.

Went out of their way to make sure I had the right tire and to make sure it was installed the same day.

I requested an appointment thinking the brakes on my 2017 Chevy Sonic needed the brake pads changed. After checking, the gentleman explained the reason that breaks were okay. He further informed me that the struts may need checking next visit.

Fast friendly and reasonable fees

Went to Jiffy Lube and was told my skid plate bolts were stripped and maybe KC Complete Auto could help me with the bolts then Jiffy could change my oil. I’m a one stop shop kind of guy and took ALL my business to KC Complete Auto. Not only did KC Complete Auto not find any stripped bolts on my skid but they were cheaper than Jiffy Lube too. If you want diligent and competent car service come to KC Complete Auto.

I was in a serious bind with two flat tires and they were almost closed but were able to not only help me with the tires and service I needed, but saved me from having to resort to using a tow truck.

Dave and his team are courteous, professional, and attentive. I stopped in for a burned out low beam. Dave left his desk to replace the lamp as I waited. This level of customer service doesnt exists with most companies today. I appreciate the team on Main Street.

As I was frantically calling places to get a MO inspection and getting no one readily available, I talked to Dave who was kind and understanding and helped me get in that day withing 30 minutes and out just as fast. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Clean store. Would recommend 100%.

I calledto let them know that my car would not start they gave me a number to call, tow was reasonable, they called and told me about the diagnosis was, told me a price, they did the work most reasonable price and called me when work was done, I will take my car there again

Fix surface issues so that you can go back to them to fix the real issue. Admitted to major up charging. Spent thousands on issues that werent the problem over the years. Example: 2 clutches replaced in around 2 or so years now in November 2020, the 3rd clutch wouldnt shift after 2nd clutch in March 2020..now they say its transmission..too many miles on car. Yet there were probably too many miles in March when they replaced the 2nd one yet they never mentioned that until this 3rd clutch issue.

Enjoyed being able to schedule online. State inspection was quick, I was only there for half an hour total. Employees were helpful.

I needed my license plate taken off, which was rusted shut. They kindly offered to assist me. They did everything in their power to take it off and they replaced it with my new plate- free of charge! Professional, timely, and got the job done. Would definitely go back for future repairs.

We were on our way though town during a cross country move but our air conditioning was not working. They were extremely understanding of our situation and accommodating and found us a location to get us in and fixed quickly. The staff we interacted with were very kind and I would definitely recommend this business.

Have been multiple times and I’ve had great experience. Both times when I called around town for pricing quotes they were the most affordable. I was able to get new tires, an alignment, and a couple other minor services for less than other places quoted me just for the tires! Trust my car there and I’m definitely going to remain a repeat customer.

Got my car towed there and was in and out in a matter of minutes. They explained what they thought the issue was, quoted me, and a day or so later I came back and ended up owing less than the initial quote.They’re friendly, knowledgeable, fair and fast. I’ll definitely be coming back for regular servicing and/or repairs.

The guys were really nice and helpful, but they failed my inspection for things that didn’t need to be fixed, according to Midas. I even took it to Midas on two separate occasions and both times they told me it was still good. I took it there to fix, just searching for better prices. I don’t necessarily think that KC Complete lied, but I got it inspected somewhere else and it passed without fixing those two things; the tie rod and wheel bearing. That was odd.

I have been to KC Complete Auto twice within the last 6 months or so and both visits have been nothing but pleasant. I’m a college student, so it’s a lot harder dealing with car issues without having my parents around to help deal with the matter. The staff at KC Complete Auto gave me great details on what was wrong with my car both times I took it to their shop. They text you a PDF file with what needs to be replaced and the costs, which made it easier for me to send to my parents rather than trying to explain to them over the phone (I personally know nothing about cars so I have a hard time doing this). I love KC Complete Auto and will come here for all of my car problems for the duration of time I have left in school.

I was able to schedule an appointment within a few days (called Monday, got in for Wednesday) and they finished repairing my car in the same day. I just moved to the area from out of state and needed to get VINs and mileage certified for my cars so that I can get them registered and tagged in Missouri. After going to government sites trying to figure this out, I found KC Complete Auto Svcs less than 2 miles from my house. I was in and out in under 20 minutes, and they helped explain the entire new resident vehicle registration process. Great help, I’d recommend them.

The markup on parts here is INSANE. quoted me over 1k to replace plugs and coils. good news is i learned to DIY tune up from youtube and did the job for $160.

I am new to Kansas City and was hesitant to find a good place to take my car for repairs, due to bad experience in the past. Since I am a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars, it’s easy for people to try and take advantage of me in this setting. At KC complete auto on Main, I was well respected by multiple employees, treated with kindness and honesty. I took my car there for an estimate and was given a straight answer and cost breakdown, as well as an explanation for my options, without belittling me or talking down to me. I am so so pleased with my experience here I will be BACK for sure, with all of my repairs!!!

They quoted a 200-300% markup on parts. I tried to negotiate price to match another quote but they claimed that the markup was used to pay their mechanics, despite the quote having a line item for labor. This is overpriced and dishonest.

You can get a great deal on Cooper tires which are made in the U.S.A. Welcoming staff, clean waiting room w a TV and clean bathroom. Its the best place to get your ride safe and running properly. I was road tripping across the country when my car started making an awful noise. Stopped in KC for the night and called the shop first thing in the morning and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem in 2 hours and I was back on the road again. Just amazing. The staff was friendly, accommodating and very professional. Highly recommend this shop to anyone and everyone!

KC Complete Auto has been a reliable repair place for me for many years. It is always done right. I have never had bad work done. Their prices are average but they pin point the problem and do what needs done. They will recommend certain maintenance when needed but it’s up to the customer to make the decision. I keep coming back because I know it will be done right the first time.
