Thanks for getting those lightbulbs changed out in under 5 minutes yesterday, 6/4/21. Your team isalways so prompt and friendly to me.It’s a pleasure to live here,Claudia Byler
I would recommend you to continue your search if youre currently apartment hunting. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF IVE EVER DEALT WITH. The management here was been the worst and in the time that I lived there I have had nothing but negative experiences. Beginning from the time I applied I knew that this place seemed shady but because I didnt have much of an option I choose to move in anyways. They are extremely money hungry from the get go and charge outrageous application and processing fees that are non-refundable so once youve started the process and theyve trapped your money they just ask you for more and more money and will not give you straight answers as to why the terms have changed. Honestly, I felt like I was dealing with a scam artist and have reported the interactions to the better business bureau because of how truly vile it was. Ive felt as though I was being lied to from the start of my interactions with them and that continued when I moved in. When I attempted to have maintenance issues solved and ask for updates (after waiting several weeks for repairs) different staff members will tell two different stories and simply lead me on without ever resolving the issue. If there are more pressing concerns or a part needs to be ordered those things are completely reasonable but lying about it breaks down the communication process and creates a hostile environment. JUST BE HONEST!!! Overall, I would describe this place as GREEDY, DISHONEST, AND RUDE.Additionally, the apartments while appearing nice at first are not all there cracked up to be. The heating and cooling systems is awful making it freezing cold in the winter and blazing hot in the summer so expect HUGE ENERGY BILLS! Also I was unable to open my windows because it smelled like sewage constantly outside my apartment and when I mentioned this to management they simply ignored the issue.
Ive lived her for just around two years, and its everything I needed in an apartment. It has so me amenities, a small pool in the summer, a small exercise room, a play-place for kids, and (if you pay for it) some covered parking. Relatively, that isnt much as far as apartment amenities go. However, it has something I greatly appreciate in abundance.Peace and quiet. Its a small little community, separated from other residential areas by a small ravine and treeline. The community is quiet and the management does not bug you often (I basically only hear from them when theyre doing specials, or are changing furnace filters). If thats what youre looking for, youll enjoy this place. Its not all perfect, of course. The maintenance is understaffed and pretty slow because of it. The apartments themselves arent anything too special, and the public trash receptacles for animal waste go a little too long without being changed out. However, Ive still enjoyed my time here.- Jason
Its only been about 2 and a half months at Prairie Walk, but I have been enjoying my time here. A much better improvement than my last apartment.Staff doesnt look at me like trash when I walk into the office and is very helpful and friendly. Its a nice quiet area. Maintenance is a big help and requests are responded too at reasonable times.
This apartment has been a huge step up from my last apartment complex. I feel safe here and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. The apartments are older and may have some age associated problems but you get what you pay for. The pool is nice and the whole complex is very pet friendly. Ive only been here for about five months but really like my apartment.
Overall, Ive had a really good experience here. Ive been living here a year and a half. The people in the office and on the maintenance team are super friendly. The pet policy is pretty reasonable; I really appreciate the second pets rent being less than the firsts. The apartments themselves are pretty roomy for the price. The space for the washer/dryer is a little small, so keep that in mind if youre getting your own units. It does seem like the maintenance team is understaffed. Its taken months to get my living room window fixed.
I am a long-time resident, and here’s why:When I go to the office for any reason I’m greeted in a friendly manner by name.I haven’t had many complaints, but those I’ve had have been dealt with satisfactorily.Maintenance issues are handled promptly and the maintenance guys care about doing things right. The rent, size and floor plan of my apartment is right for me.Staff are all really nice and helpful...good people.
Overpriced. I live in a two story town home. Terrible installation, during the winter it’s freezing downstairs in the summer it’s hot upstairs. I had problems when first moving in where my unit was not ready and my move in date got pushed back farther and farther, which should have been a clear indication this wasn’t the place for me. Despite my better judgement I moved in, and even resigned my lease. Ever since I resigned my lease it has been a nightmare! I turned in my lease to the office manager in person and was not given a reminder about renter’s insurance... so I was charged $75 not once but TWICE. Renter’s insurance for a whole year is equal to or less than $150. There was no sympathy or solution. I had standing water right outside of my door, I though it was there because of rain but when asking management about the standing water I was told “oh we hoped you didn’t see that” then Was informed there is a leaking pipe somewhere and they cannot find it. Because of that leak I have a large hole dug out in front of my unit that has been there for at least 2 months with caution tape around it. With no real solution in sight. I have a three year old daughter and I had drug dealer neighbors move in next to me who terrorized me whenever they heard her playing complaining and banging on my paper thin walls that I was too loud, eventually that same neighbor had a standoff with police and my three year old and I had to vacate our home until he was apprehended. I have large spiders everywhere and have asked for my unit to be sprayed which has not been done. I put in work orders for toilet paper holders and other miscellaneous items to be fixed and received emails that it has been completed but it never was. Traffic leaving the complex in the morning is terrible. Like I said overpriced for what it is . Don’t move here
My sister, child, and myself have lived here for the last 3 years and we love it. The office is very prompt in addressing complaints or maintenance requests. My biggest complaint is that the pool was down all last year. Lucky it is now up and running this year :). Also its a very pet friendly community #mustbeonaleash :)
I love PW! I have been living here for almost two years and I never have had a problem! The office staff is so friendly and nice and the maintenance Darrius is always prompt and polite! I would recommend for friends to live here
Really like living here -- good amenities like the pool and dog-waste stations around the property. Been in the 1-Bdr and now live in the 2-Bdr, great value for either option! Maintenance can take a while to fulfill requests, but youll find that just about anywhere you go.
This is a little place of heaven. small and well taken care of. I have a large dog so lots of room for him to run. I love the new fitness room, saves me money on a gym!
This was my first experience at a rental property and I am so glad I chose Prairie Walk to be my home. The office staff is very friendly to us and the maintenance always takes care of our requests within a day or two. We had troubles when we first moved in with the gas company Spire, but the manager of Prairie Walk took care of it for us.
I recommend no one move into #PrairieWalkApartments . If they dont like something you do they invent a rule and tack on a $25. penalty for every infraction ( or every day of the infraction). You would think that would be illegal. Additionally they are corporate with corporate lawyers so no chance taking them to court.
Love this place but do u have low income
We absolutely love the staff here. Any questions, concerns, or even a friendly conversation they are always welcoming. We absolutely love it here.
I’ve lived in one of the townhome units for over a year and have loved it. The unit itself has been spacious and homey.Of the many areas to cover when looking for an apartment, Prairie Walk has met 5 star standards. The only thing bad side is you can’t pick your neighbors. The staff have always been generous and kind. Sometimes verbal agreements can get lost in the busyness, but I’ve seen them respond and acknowledge that and would write down notes in order to remember.Maintainance requests have been fulfilled in a timely manner. The maintainance workers have been hard workers who do the dirty jobs and easy jobs that residents could take care of, but they will do it upon requests. Good job guys. The unit was clean when First moving in, and has remained clean since.I’ve never had issues with parking.Pet friendly.Active with their residents. They had a resident appreciation week and one day as I drove to class/work, the head manager was outside passing out bagged meals for everyone leave the complex. That was awesome to see. Also, always wave to the mailman. He seems to like saying hi to people.
The management is rude, she thinks you should bow down to her when asked for something that belonged to me. Not enough parking and they didnt follo6 through with maitness as the promised they would. Dont rent from this disgusting place.
I cant seem to view an apt. Ive been to the complex 3 times!! Only to be shown the model of a 1 bedroom. One young lady, Lauren told me to call her on a Friday to see the apt after the 430 cut off, when I called to confirm, she said she was going to happy hour to celebrate a coworkers departure from the company. Ok, so why offer to show me the apt when u obviously had other plans. When I take off of work a week later a guy...hes a new leasing agent tells me there are no 2 bed rooms to view AND no 2 beds available...oh really,bc there was a week ago. Feeling that Im being discriminated against I called a few days later from my work phone and guess what? They suddenly have 2 bedrooms to show AND available for rental. They are a joke, I guess its ok 4 the new guy to lie about available apts bc Lauren was chilling on the couch with her buddies when I was told that lie.
