They are a great bunch, they went out of their way to move and protect our property as they removed 4 large trees that was close to our house. Everyone on the crew was friendly and polite and did their job professionally. We highly recommend them and plan on using them again in the future.

We had a large Ash tree and the stump removed. The tree overhung the house a good bit. Ed and the crew from Rowan Tree Care were very professional and careful. There was no damage to the house or nearby trees. They had the right equipment and worked as a team. They promptly removed the limbs, logs, and stump and cleaned up very well. I would use Rowan Tree Care again!

We have a large acreage with at least 40+ dead or dying Ash trees. Ed came out and spent an afternoon in the rain to discuss a way ahead and provide an estimate for a phased approach to remove the bad trees. The removal team was outstanding and a pleasure to work with. Ed has all the right equipment, knowledge and skill to safely remove trees without damaging property or other trees/yard and will take the time to use his bucket lift to disassemble the bad trees piece by piece when needed. As a fellow veteran I will definitely be contacting Ed and his team again as we work through our property.

I had the pleasure of being able to meet the owner Ed Sheffey when he came out for the appraisal. What really made me look this company up was that he is a certified Arborist. Appointment was for 10am, he showed up at 9:50am, so very punctual. When he came out to look at the tree of concern, he let me know that his knowledge and certification is a part of what sets his company apart, not only that but that he’s been doing this for many years and is a US Veteran. When he was telling me what would work best, and did not try to sell me services of his business, but honestly wanted to make sure I had the knowledge of how to take care of my trees. He saw the trees in my back yard and we went to look at them. I thought surely he’s going to look for ways he and his business can make money, but he didn’t even mention his business!! He showed me how to properly take care of my trees, not just in pruning, but also expectations of how they will grow. Very helpful! Best $25 I’ve spent in awhile!!

I had Ed and his team remove 4 trees and trim another. They did an excellent job of communicating and were consistently on time for the three days they were working. There were two trees that were close to the house and garage that came down without incident. There are several other trees around the property that will need tending to at a later date. I will be hiring Rowan Tree Care to service them also. A job well done.

This was a large job for a home setting (nine dead Ash trees had to be taken down) and comforting to find that not only did they carry two types of insurance but they had safety top of mind.

I am another customer impressed by this safety-conscience, attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable crew. Fully insured and cost effective too. They went the ‘extra mile’ without prodding. We, and our trees, were well cared for. Toward the end of their first day on our job, Ed received an ‘emergency’ call . . . a limb was down and holiday activities were eminent. Ed came back with enough crew to handle the emergency and continue with our job. I saw the dump truck full of ‘emergency-limb”. My experience with Rowan Tree Care was great! I normally do not write a lot of reviews but I felt that it was worth taking the time given the experience.I live in Wilkes-Barre where the houses are close to each other. I had a tree near my chimney that was creating a fire hazard and heavy limbs were also over my roof. It was important to me to not only remove the hazard but maintain the tree as an asset to the yard. I contacted Ed at Rowan and we discussed my needs. The estimate was affordable and accurate. The tree service was completed on time and exactly as requested. Even my neighbor complimented the work (The tree almost borders his property as well) The clean-up was great as well. Ed was also an extremely polite young guy which I guess comes from 12 years in the military.If you need tree service in the vicinity of Clarks Summit, Wilkes-Barre etc. (and care about trees) I think Rowan Tree Care is a good place to call.~Greg

Sat morning he was here 8am as promised. He’s a great guy, professional, and knows his stuff! They not only took the tree down, they cleaned up every bit of debris from the tree falling and the cutting down of what remained. And his price was fair. I wish there were 10 stars for rating because Five stars isn’t enough. This is an exceptional company. The crew was knowledgeable and efficient in the work they had to do. We had a big project for them to handle. When they were finished, everything was removed and cleaned up. I will use this company again in the future and highly recommend them for any tree removal anyone has.

One of the things that needed attention at our new home was the yard and the trees. A Japanese Maple overhanging our front walk needed shaping and pruning to above head height. Another tree need pruning to remove some crossed branches to prevent disease down the road. Sometime in the past, a branch had broken off low on our pear tree, and decay had set in. It was too far gone to save, so it needed to come out. In addition to the trees, we had rootballs from four clumps of Japanese knotweed that needed to come out. They were at the top of a fairly steep slope and were too much for us to handle ourselves.Rowan Tree Care was here Saturday, and did a great job of fixing our problems. The trees look so much better, as does the bed where the knotweed was. Ed, Bo, and the crew were great to work with, very personable. They did a great job of cleaning up the work zones, to the point that you wouldnt know theyd been here. We have more work in the planning stages, and theyll be our go-to guys. Because his crew was at another job site Ed dropped the tree and cut it up on the spot.He then hauled it up to the road in pieces so his crew could return later that day and chip it and remove the remaining large trunk pieces.Good price for a quality job done instantaneously.Thanks for your excellent service both here and for our country.

The team from Rowan Tree Care removed a very large and difficult tree using expert rigging. The tree grew over my neighbors lawn but not more than a few twigs dropped on their lawn! They were safe and had all the proper insurance. The cleanup was absolutely excellent and now we have seating for a fire pit!

Rowan Tree is a very professional and efficiently-operated business. They removed two huge chestnut oak trees on our property, one of which was not easily accessible, not to mention VERY close to our house, and had to be cut down by climbing the tree, cutting and removing it all piece by piece. Very scary to watch, but this crew knew exactly what they were doing and worked together as a team to ensure a safe outcome. These guys are at the top of the game...All-star starters....Did the job of taking down a 50 foot black walnut that was directly beside and hanging over house and power line.... Worked the job in to their schedule quick and did the job safely while not leaving a twig behind.. Not a twig I tell you.... Great pricing compared to other licensed and insured professionals.........Cant recommend enough, will be using Ed and crew to take down a 85 footer later this year.

Excellent work...trees look great and they left my yard cleaner than when they got there including blowing off the driveway! Every time someone came out of the house they would call out a warning for all the employees to make sure they were extra careful not to get anyone injured. Very fair price and will use them again next year.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Be careful when you receive an estimate from these people! They sent out someone that normally DOES NOT do estimates to estimate a tree that had been struck by lightning and needed to be cut ASAP and another large tree that needs taken down. They emailed me a quote and I called and excepted it. They told me they would be here on a certain day, the weather didnt cooperate but they DID NOT call to let me know when they would reschedule. I had to call them. They show up to leave their equipment to start the next day, but the owner Bo says that the job had been under quoted and then proceeds to tell me that he cant start a job that he would lose money on. He looks at the trees and then gives me a price that is MORE THAN DOUBLE the ORIGINAL QUOTE!! That is very BAD BUSINESS right there!! 1... dont send out someone to quote a job that has no clue on what theyre doing!! 2.... if you rain out or get behind, CALL THE CUSTOMER and let them know instead of them having to call you!! 3...... DO NOT come to the job and say that it was UNDER estimated and then MORE THAN DOUBLE your quote!!! Men.... that is VERY POOR BUSINESS!!! So if you use this service MAKE SURE you ASK for someone that KNOWS what theyre DOING for the eatimate!!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

Would be very careful using this company. Hired this company to remove 4 trees from my property. They ruined my lawn and left a mess. Then they ended up dropping one of the trees on my house damaging my roof and gutter. AND this isnt the worst part, now the owner will not repair my home unless he is paid first. He has threatened to take me to court and place a lien on home, all the while the repairs to my home are not done. They treated me very poorly and act like I was the one who did something wrong. I have simply asked that the damages to my house be complete and payment would be made.BE WARNED

Last winter I hired Rowan tree care to remove two dead ash trees and take the dead wood out of a maple. The work progressed well and clean up was good. When the maple leafed out this summer I noticed a large dead section that was left. I ask them to come remove it. All they would do is come give me a new estimate. Also, they did not remove stumps but said they would send someone they knew who could do it. This did not happen.

Rowan Tree Care cut down a holly tree here at my house in Tennessee. The tree was close to the house and leaning precariously toward the house and garage. The tree was removed very efficiently with no danger to any of the structures, landscaping, vehicles, or other items surrounding my house. Highly recommend.

Excellent work from Ed and his crew. Great pricing for all the work that was done. Cut down large pine tree with power and cable lines running through it. They brought the tree down with expertise without any interruption of broken lines. Clean up was better than I could imagine. His crew does excellent work and they are very friendly and are very hard workers. If we ever need anymore tree work in the future, Ed will be the only one I would trust and let do the work. If you need any tree work done, do not waste your time calling other companies. None around the area can give you the service and low pricing as Ed and his crew.
