I had my daughter car seat in there they could clearly see I had a newborn one of the employees told me to sit outside with my newborn baby because she “don’t want a lot of people in here” extremely disrespectful

First off, there was workers in there with no mask and I felt extremely uncomfortable.. Aside from that the lady was very rough with my pedicure and cut me twice on my hands that I couldnt finish my manicure! She did no apologize and the manager refused to deduct the total after hurting me, or even apologize. WORST NAIL PLACE IN JERSEY CITY!

The worst experience ever, one worker including the owner at that place had no knowledge in distinguishing the nail format of my nails. I wanted a refill toward my uv gel tips nail but his(owner) respond was No, Ill do acrylic nail for you and Uv gel tips nail will take too long to do, after accepting my appointment over the phone for 6pm. In addition toward those issues, one of the workers there along with the owner constantly kept saying that my nails werent UV gel tip nails and instead it was acrylic nails. In my point of view, that goes to say that they lack knowledge on their practices as a nail technician and they are in denial of what I know (as a client), based on my multiple trips to many other nail salons. Lastly when I walked through the door of this place (which was around 5:58pm), I immediately looked up at the signs for the price of my nail. On the sign the cost for UV gel tip nail (full set) is $55. All the nails on my right hand were still intact and only needed a refill. As for my left hand, only three of my five fingers were missing a nail and the owner was going to charge me $60 to get it all redone. I refused and can say that I have never received such experience from a nail salon such as this one and they can forget about me ever returning back here again.

Really great service! We came in late on a Saturday wanting fill-ins & pedicures and they stayed over to take wonderful care of us! We were extremely happy & enjoyed our time there!!

Lady at the register was rude and almost forced me to tip, I felt really uncomfortable and won’t be going back.

Last time I got my nails done, the lady didnt do a great job. I suggest the owner of the store, an older Chinese man. He does an amazing job and is quick. Ask for him when you go!

Love this nail salon. Been going here for more than 10 years never had an issue. The owners are great and my nails always come out wonderful and last for at least a month. I love Joe and LiLi, best nail salon in the area hands down. Anyone who says different is a liar.

My daughter told me about Design Nail & Spa a few months ago, and I am so glad she did!! They are great!!! First they have parking which in Jersey City is a major plus!! I live downtown and granted, it is not as convenient as the zillions of nail shops with in walking distance of my home. That being said, it is worth the additional travel time!! I get UV gel and have been doing so for years. Joe does my nails and he does by far the best gel manicure I have ever received HANDS down!! (pardon the pun) Not only does my manicure look amazing but, it looks shiny and perfect for so long that I wait way too long to get them done again!! I cant recommend this place enough. For the extra minutes it takes me to get there the extra two weeks of wear makes it worth it!!! All that coupled with the fact that I save close to thirty dollars every time I get my nails done now, its a win-win all around!!!

I had been going to this nail salon for a few years now but the level of service has really dropped all they care about is over charging and getting you out as soon as possible. Which in detail comes out to you getting messed up nails and having to fight with the owner Joe to get things done right. I actually went to get a filling and ended up with messed up nails so bad I had to pay triple to another nail salon to take off what they put on my nails and correct the problem. I should have know better when they stop sterilizing their equipment. I really dont like to give bad reviews but I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.

I usually wait until Ive tried out a place a few times before giving 5 stars, and Ive had some pretty bad/disappointing/inconsistent experiences at other Jersey City salons. This place is definitely worth the 5 starts. Clean, friendly, and my gel manicures (once with color, once french tip) and pedicure were absolute perfection. Im coming up on a week with my french tip gel manicure and it looks just as good as it did when I got it. The best part about this place though is that both times my nails were perfection with different people. Im all about having a go-to person at the salon, but consistency across technicians says a lot about the establishment.

I’ve been going there for YEARS, but the level of customer service over the past few years has been terrible. I travel about a half hour to get my nails done and every time I come to get service, I’m faced with long wait times and dissatisfied service. Anna WAS my nail tech and I would text her way in advance to make sure she can do my nails, but there’s always a problem when I arrive and this is after she confirms the appointment. The very last straw was when I came to get service for my wedding day, which she confirmed and when I arrived, she said she couldn’t do my pedi. I WAS DONE WITH THEM FOR GOOD. They get a little clientele and start acting as if there aren’t a million other nail salons out here. ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾Queen Nails does a wonderful job and I’ve been there a few times, no wait and I’m always satisfied.Ivy (tech) is the bomb 💣

My friend took me here 4 months ago and Ive been going here ever since!!Clean and you cant beat the customer service here, they are simply the best! All the ladies here have the most gentle touch! I always get the mani/pedi with gel and even if theyre digging through my in grown toe nails I cant feel any pain! She took her time and made me feel really comfortable.Supper happy with my new nail place everyone there is always smiling.Everyone is so gentle. Im so in love with this place, 5 stars for EVERYTHING! I love it!

Got acrylic refill on a friday morning and Saturday afternoon, two nails cracked. . Acrylic cracked. Sunday I went back to have them repaired. The wife was great but the husband (owner) became irate and started yelling at me when I commented on my nails. He put acrylic on a section of the nail to make it match the other nails although my own nail was cracked. I told him, in my experience when that is done eventually the acrylic will crack in the same place. He became very upset and said why am I talking and dont come back here or say anything until he is done. I asked him why is he hostile and yelling at customers. Smh. Another customer commented that he always acts like that. Unprofessional at its finest.

These people make up their own prices never whats listed on the wall or what they say when its time to pay. Last time I will ever go there. My daughter got her nails done for her graduation and they were nice but the next day her whole thumb polish was off. Two days later her nail broke and she does nothing like most teenagers. Poor quality.

Gave them a star because it was required to leave a review, went for the 3rd refill since my fullest & had to take them off because my nail was completely green !!! She said because I had my nails on for too long, which is bull !!! I’ve had nails before I’ve had 5-6 refills on a full set and this never happened!!!!

WARNING: Rate 0.5 star. Natural Nail Folks beware...do not go here!!! 1st Given a lower price over the phone made that known. 2nd The OL tried to get me to get nail extensions. Her attitude changed when I refused because the only option was acrylic (can damage ones natural nails makes it weak, thin and brittle) and silk wrap was not an option (should have left then) 3rd She done a botched job on my cubicles and nails when I realized my skin was broken on 5 of 10 fingers. I made it known to the OL and she offered to fix it...oh hell no I left immediately. Thank you OL for why I occasionally visit nail salons...#DIY-MEDI/PEDI...

This is one of the worst nail salons in jersey City. There’s no customer service skills whatsoever, they use poor nail polish even GEL and they charge your for bubbles that their cheap nail polish creates! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Stay away if you can because you mind as we’ll flush your money down the toilet. The owners are rude and racist. I will never go back there. Ever.

I have been waiting for 2 hours to get my nails done and they didn’t even bother to take off my nail polish or the sand I had from my nails. I also had to get out of my seat so someone could get their nails done. My nails were sloppy and had no clear coat there were also bumps. I would give this place a -100 if I could.

Just had the worst experience at this salon they are prejudice and it was not sanitary. I was treated so rudely and was ordered to get out in the most belligerent manner! Only because the dark color of my skin! Will never patronize there

This place is terrible. I got my nails done here and they didnt last 3 days. The polish started chipping. I told them I wanted coffin nails....she tried to give me the pointy cat nails....when I told her no....she tried to use the acrylic to shape the nail into the right design. I absolutely hate my nails. I hate that I spent 60$ and they look like trash.

This is one of the absolute worst nail salons in Jersey City. All of employee, including the husband and wife owner duo, are rude and disresctful. While they are similarly priced to other nail salons in tbe area, they do the least amount of work as possible. I literally just received a pedicure in which the polish job looks as if I did it at home. I had to have other patrons confirm that my polish was sloppy before a second woman would repaint two of my toes, even though they all need to be repainted.Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. When you spend money on a luxury it should not be this stressful.

Gel nail polish chipped after 5 days of getting them done also one nail lifted. Aren’t they the ones who convince you to get the gel because it last longer. Also many air bubbles was left in the polish. In total there are 5 nails that look horrible.

Made us wait for 3 hours, nails weren’t even shaped correctly, wasted $50 and didn’t even let the nails dry, first time and never again bad service because they were rushing to leave. NEVER AGAIN

Worse place ever to do your eyebrows. They are always rushing. They ruined my eyebrows and I want my money back.

Been going to them for 15 years and when they owned bergen nails,but now Im getting tired of them theyre getting ridiculous with their prices and use cheap products my polish always chip the next day I feel as though theyre taking advantage now so they will no longer have me as a costumer.
