This nail salon business discriminate again my condition and refused my service. They were very rude, unprofessional, and made me feel uncomfortable.They made me feel really bad about my condition that I can’t control. I just wanted to feel relaxed and enjoy my day like everybody else so I thought going to the nail salon would be a good idea. I would not recommend this service to anyone, especially someone who has a disability.

This is beyond my most favorite place in Orange Park / Oakleaf area. They took their time to make sure all the kinks were gone they took so much care and effort into my nails. I love them. The acrylics turned out soooo good not thick at all they feel great. Totally worth it

I love Andy, his wife and his team. Nobody does my nails and toes like them. Andy knows exactly how I like my nails and he makes sure theyre perfect every time. Ive tried a few other nail salons in the area and they dont compare. Island Nails also follows all covid protocols and they make sure the salon is clean.

Went in to get my nails done. They were kind, courteous, and professional. I got a set of acrylics done and they took their time. They did an amazing job.

This morning I went in to have my nails redone. I was there two weeks ago and didn’t need an appointment. This morning, I go in the man at the desk tells me I have to have an appointment. So I asked if they changed the policy because I was just there. I mistakenly said a week ago. When he asked to see my nails he muttered something about it not being a week and I was like your right it was two weeks ago and pointed to the woman who did my nails. At the point he goes on to say under his breath it was longer than weeks. It wasn’t but at this point I am beyond irritated either way there were nail techs that not doing anything and they could have accommodated me. He just didn’t want to.

The worst. Nails were still wet 3 hrs later. They offered to fix them but this time I left with cotton ball fuz painted on and paint on my fingers.

Always greated with a smile when you enter. They do a awesome job on my pedicure and the ladies are so sweet. They are constantly cleaning and mask is a must. I feel so relax when I come to this establishment.

I want to get a pie and made an appointment and was not told that we wouldneed a mask. No masks available and they were rude and told us the night we couldnt come in. So they did not supply a mask if you dont have one just so you know!

Andy did my nails and did a excellent job. I’ve had many fills before but he went over and above making sure every nail was even. Then Sandy did my pedicure and also did an excellent job. The shop was very clean and they were sanitizing everything the whole time I was there. I would definitely recommend this salon. It was a little expensive but the quality was very good.

I asked for a gel manicure. I’mNot even sure what they did to my actual nails. My nails are in worse condition leaving before walking in. I was overcharged and the nail technician stopped in the middle of my service to “help an appointment that was waiting for her”I almost never leave a review but buyer beware. This place is not the nail place for you. Over priced and job less than halfway performed.

I went to get a full set last weekend, it was my first time coming to get my nails done here. I had Andy do my nails with the dipped OPI powder black ombre. I absolutely adore them. I will definitely be going back to get my nails done by him from now on and refer my friends. Pics dont do these justice.

As a Nurse on the front line I was hesitant to go to any nail salon due to Covid 10. I stand on my feet all day and after 3 months I have it a try. I was impressed the moment I walked in. The concern for safety permeated the air. I was asked to go wash my hands before touching anything.I thought I found my place. They are very kind, and are adhering to all the rules with no hesitation, only 3 customers were allowed at one time when I was there. Appointments only. So I recently received a pedicure from island nails.It was great quality at a reasonable price! All the technicians there were super friendly, and due to everything happening with COVID-19 they were cleaning and sanitizing everything! Which was awesome! Im definitely going to be coming back for all of my future pedicure needs!

The WORST.....i needed a basic pedicure regular polish and basic full set regular polish and they did horrible....my toenails was uneven and my full set looked like i needed a fill in as soon as in left ...100 wasted ...DONT GO HERE !!!!!!+

Island Nails is fabulous! Owned by a family in our own community so you know your hard earned dollar is going back into your own community. They are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. Always ask about your service and want to make sure the customer is happy! If you ever are not just let Andy the owner know, and he will make it right! Island Nails is doing an AMAZING job with sanitizing and social distance!! They are always very clean but they are going above and beyond with keeping everything clean, sanitized and crowd control! You have to make an appointment and limited people can be in the salon. They are all using double masks, face shields for pedicures and plexi glass for manicures. They are constantly sanitizing something when they get even a two second break!! Im 9 months pregnant and felt completely comfortable in the salon because if everything they had in place. 10 stars for sure!

I really hope this is not the norm for this place but it will not matter for me. I came here with my girlfriend this morning as a walk-in and never felt more unwelcome. Rushed thru picking a color, form thrown at me to complete, and $40 for a 10 minute pedicure that was NOT relaxing at all.

They are immaculately clean and are following all the new CDC guidelines pertaining to COVID-19.They are the only place I’ve ever found that does a perfect French ombré! Came in last minute to have SNS/OPI and a pedicure and left with this amazing work. Andy completed my SNS/OPI on my nails and I could not be more happier that I chose this salon. He showed me what an SNS/OPI set really should look like. Andy and his wife were extremely nice and they work they did on my hands and feet on such short notice I am so thankful. I do definitely will be returning to this salon in the future and beyond. Excellent service!

Professional, clean, kindhearted family atmosphere which produces beautiful nails. Recommend making an appointment as they have MANY repeat customers and stay busy. I tried 3 other local nail salons and Andy’s OPI powder nails surpassed by far. My nails are healthy, gorgeous and last several weeks!

I have been going here since at the earliest two thousand and eleven. I have never once had a problem with how they do my nails. They know exactly what I want. I started getting the dip back in December of two thousand and eighteen and it last up to five weeks. I get them done at the end of the month and have no issues. Andy always knows the length of my nails without me telling him how short. I love getting my pedicures done and my hands. Keep up the good work :).

I went here to get a full set done and within 2 days 4 of the acrylic nails had already lifted and started falling off. What a waste of $50. I will never be going back.

I have been coming to Island Nails for over 8 years. I am a long time customer .The owners take good care of me everytime Ive come in.Its nice to feel comfortable with the service and people providing the service. Ask for Sandy who is one of the owners, she gives the best leg and foot massage. It is without a doubt they provide great service and do great quality work.

This was my first time coming here since I live 5 minutes away from it but I usually go to the one in Fleming Island. The service is horrible. They told me it would be $60 for dip powder because I have long nails. but I pay $40 at the one in Fleming Island no matter how long. The guy told me that they have OPI dip powder that they don’t make in the US anymore. Then he ended up telling me I could just wait and go to the one in Fleming Island. I would never recommend this one to anybody. I should’ve just went with my regular nail shop. Do not go here!

I have been always happy with their service. I tried many salons in Jacksonville but they were rushing and not doing their job well. I am so happy I found this place. Kim is always the one getting my nails done. Their price is standard not overpriced. Been going here for more than 2 years since we moved. I can see that they have regular patrons keep coming back. I love this salon and their staff. I have been going here for years and never had a bad experience. Andy keeps up with the newest trends and always tells people if what they want will work for them or not. He doesn’t want to do something for someone and it not work out. I like that. It would be better to make an appointment as they are very busy. As for the reviews of the staff being rude, I’ve watched the staff interact with customers nicely telling them they are busy can they come back in an hour or whatever and the customer gets mad. Everyone is always friendly and professional.

Award for worst customer service goes to Island Nails.I called at 5:40 today which is a Sunday. Thinking they would be closing at six to ask if they could still fit in a full set. The gentleman on the phone said yes if I come now because I live very close.I called again just to make sure I was turning at the right place. And the guy was a little rude on the phone.no big deal.When I got in there with my daughter I asked him if he could do her nails. She is 13 years old. He asked me three times in a row her age. Then he asked if I was her mom I said yes and then he had her sit down so he could start. I told him that the place smelled good and he just made a noise at me . For some reason he was angry I dont know if its because it was nearly closing time and he wanted to get off early or what. But the sign on the door so they dont close till 630 and the door was already locked when I got there before six.I asked how much was the Joe polish and he replied 30. I assumed it was 30 with the fill and polish. So I picked out a gel color for her and set it on the counter. Then he said its 30 are you going to get gel polish. I said yes heres the color. He said its $30 extra.I was a little surprised so I asked him do you mean $30 on top of the fill? And he literally screamed at me yes $30 for gel polish you asked me and Im telling you its $30 for gel polish!I responded to not raise your voice at me please. And then he started repeating himself about how hes not route route raising his voice and I just couldnt deal with it so we left. I will never return again and I will be sure to leave bad reviews on every outlet that I can find no one will treat me that way.

To expensive and terrible service.

They do a great job once you get in, but seems like they get more business then they can handle. I waited over an hour for a pedicure and they said they were too busy to wax my eyebrows afterwards even though I told them I needed it done when I first got there. This has happened several times, unfortunately I will have to start going somewhere else. Hopefully one of these days they will hire additional help on the weekends.

Went for a french pedicure and had to go back for them to take it off. The manager asked to take a picture of my toes to provide feedback to the nail tech but never offered to reimburse. Did asked if I wanted them fixed but I did not, since they did a poor job in the first place and I did not like the product they used to paint my toe nails. The French pedicure was ugly. What they use to paint the nails is very hard to take off and cannot be washed off if needed. 3 off my toe nails got stained with color of new closed shoes I bought, and when I tried to wash the nails off, I could not. The manager stated it was not their fault I used closed shoes, and I was ok with that because $35 less would not made me poor or richer. I will just not go back. It was embarrassing.

Best nail service in a long time. Andy did my gel(liquid) overlay and it looks AMAZING. I walked in without an appointment on a Saturday and received 5 star treatment. Excellent customer service, quick and expert job on my nails. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I’ve been a long time customer that sat right behind you yesterday, you came in with an attitude saying that you would rather go to a luxurious place than this. What’s the point of going here in the first place if you want to say that with an attitude. No respect whatsoever, if you want to go somewhere else go there, we don’t need your shameful comments in here.

I feel like this place can do better.

The male nail technichian was very rude to my cousin and started arguing with her when she tried to tell him that two of her nails were different lengths and she would like them to be fixed. He got so irate over such a small criticism, he started filming their argument (mind you, my cousin was calm the whole time, and didnt have her permission to film her), and then told her to leave without finishing her nails. We ended up going to Zen Nails in Orange Park to finish her nails, and he had done such a bad job on the gel powder on her nails that the other nail technicians didnt even know where to start. So, dont go to Island Nails if you want to be treated with respect as a paying customer. He didnt even provide quality service and clearly chose to take his bad mood out on her.

I had the very best pedicure experience here with my mom! Literally, the very best pedicure Ive ever had! They were busy, which usually means they hurry up and get on to the next person, but not this time. They took their time with everything, expecially the massage, and did a really phenomenal job for both of us. My mom and I were both so happy with our experience and will definitely be going back next time!

I was there this morning for a pedicure and will NEVER be back!! 25.00 for what looks like a child did! I was in there with the wait time for about an hour. The lady hurried through my pedicure barely touching my feet properly. Didn’t get all the dead skin off like I’m used to. When she finished “scrubbing “ my feet I had to show her spots that she didn’t touch! The polishing was worse!! Not even...not covering the entire nail and when I asked her to fix it she said oh I will get that and nothing! I paid the 25.00 because I just wanted to get out before I caused a scene!! I did not tip her because if you can’t make me happy when I’m sitting in your chair...you didn’t earn it!! Lesson learned!! Super nice this particular lady did NOT DO a good job!

I totally disagree with Mrs Waleska regarding about your French pedicure had been black color . I was the one sat on first table next to her and saw the happening.Andy was so nice to asked her what she would like to do and he could have done anything for her. She replied took off the French tip while her French tip was black color came out by her shoe .Andy removed by acetone and came out whiter as nomaI . I saw that too. I can’t believe it she complained to them for a nothing . Don’t worry Island nails . I am continue supporting you and highly recommendation to everyone.

Happy that their wasnt a wait but my nails looked like a child painted them. Ive seen reviews that are wonderful and I had high hopes for this place. Sadly my experience was more like the negative reviews I read instead.

Rude and doesn’t know the right way on how to speak to their customers. Showed them a picture of how I wanted my nails and the end result looked nothing how I wanted them. Will NEVER go there again and will not recommend my friends or family to them.

I like my nails done on the reg. But since when is a no chip pain job an ADDITIONAL $30 ON TOP OF THE OTHER SERVICES? I got a fill and a pedicure @ $43 ..... A no chip Mani is usually $30 in Chicago for the full service. Adding on no chip nail lacquer which I brought my own should be half of that. Or they should have cleaned my cuticles or something. Thats price gouging. Wow.And this is Argyle Forest. Not Chicago Illinois. Crazy. Im not even trying to hear what the reasoning is.

TOO ROUGH!!! Place looks clean, but they tried to use the cheese grater on my feet! I thought those were a no-no! I do not allow it on my feet. She took it out of a basket on the floor, not sterile! Wish I could find a place with gentle nail techs, guess they are in a hurry. They scrape the skin off my fingers! It hurts! They were too rough!

My boyfriend took me to get my nails done for my birthday, I had previously come here with my friend when she got her nails done. When i called to make an appointment and was treated with the utmost respect and even was given the choice on who to work on my nails. Having seen Andy work before I immediately asked for him. Me and my boyfriend were treated like royalty, the prices were fair, and my nails were done exactly how I asked. Andy even gave my boyfriend the opportunity to try and do the acrylic for one of my nails so that he could eventually do them. Definitely will go back.

I called ahead and was very happy with the pleasant personnel and lovely rooms. The sound of a calming waterfall and the tv on with closed captioning instead of sound added to the ambiance. I had a new type of manicure that is pretty and lasting! You get what you pay for, they are not exhorbitant. Andy is a very good and gentle manicurist and I will be back!

They did an amazing job on my nails, I wanted dipping powder and they did a phenomenal job and I can not stop looking at them lol! I love them. They are very kind and generous but people take it the wrong way!!!! They are doing their job!! On the other hand, for sure bringing my girlfriends here next time...!!!

I went into Island Nails on May 30, 2013 with three other people. Most of the reviews that I read were good, thats why I chose this salon. I had a pedicure and a manicure. Both were okay at the present time. I took a shower that night & one of my finger nails had already chipped. Two days later several finger nails were chipped. I noticed several hang nails that were not removed on my fingers, they were tucked into the side of the nail. The charge for a manicure and a pedicure at Island Nails is expensive, but we treated ourselves because it was a special occasion. Its really ridiculous to pay a lot of money to get a poor quality of work. Dont worry we wont be going back to Island Nailsand we sure wont refer anyone else to them.

Very unhappy. Services were not rendered that were asked for and what was done was done horribly. I will not go back or recommend Island nails ever. The language barrier should not be a reason bad customer service. Unfortunate for my friend who was visiting and just wanted a manicure, instead they just painted her nails with no manicure. We both tried to explain that she didnt get what she wrote down on the check-in form and they would not listen or take care of her needs. She ended up paying full price for something she didnt want and they wouldnt compromise or fix her issue. Very unhappy😟

Great family owned business. Ive been going here for 4 years. Tried a few others in oakleaf and they all are more pricey and quite rude. The negative reviewers on here either just decided to take their bad day out on this business or were quite unrealistic. I have been getting my nails done for 23+ years and can tell you Andy and his wife are the sweetest in the industry. Pay no mind to the negative people on here. If youre closer to Fleming island/green cove/doctors inlet, they also have another location on 220. Argyle location has been there for many years. If they were as bad as others are saying on here, they wouldnt have lasted like they have. Go in and ask for Andy or his wife. The best

Went here and the gentlemen got upset because I said, i was a little confused to why I had to wait a hour to soak my nails off when there were available chairs. He says that I didnt tell anyone I wanted a full set, even though the young lady that worked there agreed that I had told them. He had already started soaking my nails and then gets mad and changes his mind. He tells me he wont do my nails and that Ill have to wait on the young lady doing nails. I told three times prior to this that I was just asking a question and would like to get my nails done. So if he was refusing my service, there was no way that I would give them my money at all. I left and went across the street to Tiffanys. I loved my service there, they were very polite and nice, even though they cost more, it is definitely worth the good customer service.

I have been going to island nails for over 2 years now. And I have never had a bad experience andy and sandy are amazing. They go over and beyond to make sure I walk out with my hands and feet looking nice.

I have been here twice and I have got a gel manicure BOTH times. Cindy does a great job and she makes sure they look good. I definitely recommend this place!

The couple that own and run island nails are awesome. She is a perfectionist, redid my right hand about four times until she got it right. He is kind and patient, a lovely man. Their prices are great and they actually pay attention to the quality of their work. Their gel OPI manicures are a great investment. My color lasts for a month, without fail. Plus, I watched them interact with regular customers who they genuinely seem to care about, which is something seldom seen these days. Its a great change from the place in the mall who rush you in and out, destroying whatever they were trying to do in the first place.

Andy was very nice. He took his time in doing my SNS. Although I don’t think the SNS is for me anymore. It seems to keep chipping. He did a remarkable job

Awful, staff is rude and loud, and do not know how to work a gel light machine, they made me put my hand in the machine in and out 6 TIMES!!!! I do not recommend this place to anyone and the staff need to be more attentive and focus on one person at a time as 1 woman was working on 4 people at the same time, it was disgusting.

Wow okay, where do I start? First off, let me say that the women at the shop are super nice. I’ve never had any problems with them. But customer service really is not a strong suit with this salon. The man that did my nails was disrespectful and rude, talking and laughing on the phone while he was doing my nails. He made rude comments about the gel I already had on my nails, as they were done at a different salon. Nail techs usually talk to you right? Like, “oh we’re going to do two rotations of the UV light” or something like that. Right? To let you know what’s happening next. No. This guy just kept grabbing my hands and shoving them under the light, and when it was time for a second rotation, he’d just grab my hand, take it out and shove it back in. As if telling me to do it again would be too difficult. AND THEN I asked them like, “oh, are you guys on Yelp or anything?” You know to see what other people are saying about the salon, and all of a sudden he just didn’t know what Yelp was. But then proceeded to ask me FOUR TIMES about why I wanted to know. Like you know what’s happening buddy. So long story short, dude at the salon is rude. Don’t even waste your time.

Today was my first experience here and I absolutely loved it! I went in asking for acrylic with a gel polish because that is what I’m used to but Andy suggested that I try the SNS nails. I decided I would just to see if I like them. They are much lighter, quicker, and durable than the acrylic and are good for your nails as well. The time to do the nails was the perfect amount, I went in at 10 and was done in an hour. The shape is exactly what I wanted. I showed him a picture and he did exactly as I asked. I mention this because I have been to some salons that I show them exactly what I want and it does not turn out like what I ask. The shop is very clean and does not have the overpowering nail salon smell in it (being pregnant this was very important to me). The pricing is exactly what you should expect from a nail salon. If you want to pay a cheap price you get cheap products and vise versa. I paid $55 for my SNS nails and that is really good in my opinion for a set of nails that are gorgeous, healthy, and durable. Overall Andy is the man to see. I really enjoyed my experience here and I will definitely be back!!!

I recently moved to Oakleaf area a few months ago. My daughter came to visit from Houston and we wanted to get pedicures. We went to Island Nails and had an amazing experience.They did such a good job I made an appointment with Andy and had a mani/organic pedi. He fit me right in the same day. I had SNS done on my hands and they look great. I will definitely be back with that kind of customer service.

If you want to waste 3 hours of your day for a pedicure...this place is for you. Despite the long wait, the pedicure was horrible and I had to wait an extra 20 mins just to get gel polish on my toes. The staff was also rude and would not even give me a time frame on the wait. I would not recommend this place to anyone...go to any other nail salon..literally any other one!

Great service from start to finish. They are very friendly and took great care of my sister and I. I will definitely be back.
