I recently got engaged, but unfortunately, the ring was a size too small. My boyfriend bought the ring online from a place in California. I had the option of sending it back in the mail, but I really didnt want to do that. I called some of the other local jewelers in the area, but they said it would be 2-4 weeks before they could resize my ring. On my lunch break one day, I just stopped by Barnett Jewelers to see what they would quote me. They said it was a week turn around, and told me the price which I was pleased with. Exactly one week later, I finally got my engagement ring back, and I am obsessed. The jeweler at this shop does quality work, and I will certainly go back to them for future business. I could not be more pleased!

My husband initially went into this amazing jewelry store to have a watch battery replaced. He was so impressed with the service that we have returned several times for other items. Susan has helped me with finding just the right pair of earrings for my 14 year old granddaughter. My fiancé bought my ring from Barnett’s and it’s been a nightmare ever since. We wanted to buy local in Jacksonville rather than buying from a big chain (clearly a mistake). He brought them opals that have been in my family for the last 30 years, ones that I’ve been wearing for the last 5, and asked them to set them in an engagement ring for me. They walked him through the whole process and gave him advice on which setting they recommended and everything. He took their advice and bought the center stone they recommended as well as the setting they recommended. In the last 6 months since we’ve been engaged, the stones have come out of their setting 5 times: once when the ring brushed against my jeans, once when I was looking in my suitcase, once when I was looking through a backpack, once when I was moving laundry from the washer into the dryer, and the most recent time when I brushed my hand against my fiancé’s arm. We took the ring back to Barnett’s to get it reset properly and it took an extremely long time to get it back. We asked them to lengthen the prongs holding the stones into place as they had been set that way in my previous ring with which I had no trouble. Unfortunately they did not lengthen the prongs and after having the ring back for 2 hours a stone popped out once again. We now live out of state so we brought the ring back down to Jacksonville (once again) to have it fixed and they said they would have it fixed by the time we left. After having it for the last 3 days it is still not fixed and we can’t even take back our broken ring because it was taken out of the store and they “cannot get into contact with the person who has it.” We now have to find out how to get it picked up and/or sent to us instead of being able to get it ourselves. This has been an absolutely ridiculous experience and extremely frustrating. What should have been a magical experience for us had just been a nightmare.

Now a north side location is open which is very convenient and its ran by one of Bills sons and when I first walked thru the door I was made to feel right at home. I had a great experience at this store when I was picking out an engagement ring for my fiancee. They educated me on what to look for in a diamond and gave a wide selection to choose from. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Brought in my watch to receive help with putting the watch cover back on because my family and I could not get it back on. Basically they couldn’t get it back on was ok but then one of the ladies who helped proceeded to say that they don’t normally work on watches like mine. I asked her what she meant and she said they normally work with more delicate watches mainly from their store not a cheap watch from Walmart. First of all my grandmother got me this watch from Kohl’s and my family is certainly not poor but we also don’t feel the need to flaunt money around unnecessarily. After explaining this to the lady she began to apologize profusely but it was too late I’ve never been so disrespected. So if you’re a high school student or a young student in general this is not the place for you. These people don’t believe in cheap watches or helping all customers they only care about their rich consumers.
