They get two stars because they typically give great haircuts but Ive got to knock them today because I showed up 30mins prior to close and no one waiting and I get turned away. No sign on the door except for the one that reads they close at 2pm not 1:30. Ms Venus working today is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Ill take my business else where. Its a shame barbers and not just this one can treat customers the way they do because they get plenty of business in jacksonville and dont have to worry about repeat business when they blow someone off.

Updated Review: Ive been coming here for almost 2 years and never had to sign in. I come here on 06JUL2021 and sit for 45+ minutes while multiple people who came in AFTER me got their hair cut... because apparently signing in is necessary now? Maybe they should let people know AS THEY COME IN to do so. Will not be coming back to this place.

The woman who cut my hair, without my consent, used the rubber backings on my mask to cinched it down ridiculously tight down on my face and ears when I sat down to get my hair cut.

Great barbers who are friendly and give good cuts. You can set appointments or walk in. Walk ins sign in when they arrive and can claim their favorite barber or next available.

Dropped in for the first time. I was thinking whichever barber took me, they would be challenged cause my hair was long shaggy and wild. Whitney was the winner and she gave me the perfect manager style haircut, meaning above the ears above the eyebrows, and just over the collar. To boot, she also shaved my neck, warm towel on head and neck, trimmed eyebrows and ears, and massaged shoulders and back. Excellent, superb haircut! Finally found my barber! Thank you much Whitney!

Had a minimal amount of time to get my hair cut today before having to go to my voluntold duty and this was the only place that I could find that opened at 9 in the morning. This was by far the best haircut I have gotten since being in the military. Not to mention the hot towel and neck rub to go along with it. Good pricing too.

Amazing. I had to take a chance because I do NOT want to get my haircut in Camp Lejeune barber shops. They are horrible. I gave this place a chance and I’m shocked of how cheap the haircut was. It came with AMAZING service and a really nice fade! I am officiall a regular now. Give them a try!

This barber shop is the best in the area bar none. I live in New Bern and I come all the way down to Jacksonville to get my hair done from Tami (owner) although all the barbers at White Oaks are top tier.Why so good?First, if you go when it isnt too busy, Tami will pamper you with a hot towel massage on the spots where she tapered the fade to a close shave and a hot towel massage on your eyes. And to top it off, shell give you a massage around your neck and shoulders. First class!Second, shes the only barber that I know of that can fade VERY well and be able to trim my hair on top with scissors. Ive been to many barber shops in Jacksonville, Havelock, and New Bern and they all seem to free hand the trim with clippers since my top hair is longer than their largers clipper attachment. I always go home with an irregular/unbalanced trim on top. Tami uses scissors and it ALWAYS comes out even and perfect. I guess barbers using scissors is not just a necessary skill anymore.Bottom line. For $9, this place has a Great price for the over the top notch service you get. Wont find a better place period.
