I wish that I could give more than 5 stars! I was traveling to Jacksonville from the the Midwest for a wedding. I needed to make sure that my hair and beard was cut to perfection. Rob did an AMAZING job on my hair and beard but he also gave me some product for my bar handle mustache. My girlfriend couldn’t wait to kiss he had tamed the beast! Every time that we will visit Jax I’ll make sure that I will get my hair from Rob!

This has become my exclusive choice for a cut the past few years. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff is incredible. Treat yourself to a cut and shave. Robert is an absolute pro with a straight razor.

Long time customer from the Lakeshore shop. Im super happy I had a chance to visit this shop on opening day. I work downtown and live in St Augustine.This shop is convenient and the atmosphere is legit. I needed a new Barber near my house or on the commute home.I beyond pleased with Jones. Had a chance to meet him and talk before getting cut. Super friendly and extra talented. If you are in the neighborhood you should add this as a place to check out. I used to get my hair cut here regularly. Not anymore! I walk in for my appointment, masked as I should be, and not a single barber had a mask on. Nor did any one of them put a mask on when the customer (me) entered the store and sat down in the barbers chair. This barbershop has no respect for the 352,000 Americans that have been killed by Covid-19 to this day. Dont get your hair cut here!

I got a haircut and bard trim from Billy Sheehan, and he did an excellent job. He was patient and was very detailed. Will go back to him, again.

I came in around lunch time and the barbers were all with clients but nobody greeted me for the first 10 minutes so I asked if they accept walk-ins “should be able to squeeze you in somewhere” that’s all I got for 30 minutes and one barber left for coffee without saying a word to me after I’d been sitting there clueless. I have no problem waiting but does not pass the Vice check.

Pomade and Tonic has a super chill and welcoming vibe.Adam Marcengill did an amazing job on both mine and my sons hair. My fade is super sharp and my kid LOVES his short cut. Adam made my kid feel super chill and confident.I highly recommend the shop and Adam!

Sometimes you gotta treat yourself. Ive had my head shaved, my beard shaped, with all the hot towel and oils treatment. Love this place. Wish they had one closer to where I live now!

After the invite coupled with the clean up cut he gave me, Im sure to come back. These guys are top notch, professional and maintain a clean establishment....& after searching and searching for a new place to trust for my haircut, one small thing that went a long way with me was the lack of forced small talk. I can appreciate a man who can take a request and run with it without feeling the need to force conversation the entire time of the haircut. Pomade and Tonic is a neat establishment. Ive been twice now and each time I left looking and feeling better than when I entered. Adam does a fantastic job. He keeps the conversation lite and makes sure that that you leave feeling confident. My only issue is that its cash only, I dont like having to hit the ATM just to get a haircut.

Farrell is awesome and a great guy to boot. When I called in to cancel my appointment because I was not feeling well enough to drive the short distance to the shop, he made arrangements to come cut my hair for me at my house. What a great barber and an even greater good guy. Take a time machine back to friendlier social times and experience a great haircut while your at it. Seriously try him out and you will not be disappointed!!!

My favorite barber shop!

This is hands down one of the best authentic barbershops I have ever been to. I was a walk in for my first time there and shortly after I knew I had a new permanent home before I even left the chair. Extremely knowledgable staff doing excellent work all around. I live a county over from the shop and it is worth the drive. You will not be disappointed, and leave feeling like a million dollars every time. Ill recommend this barber shop to anyone without hesitation.

I had stepped in as a walk in a couple of days ago and they were full, they mentioned that I could make a reservation online, so I did and man... totally worth it. The staff is great, great conversation and laughs, i got the Lumber Jack combo, first time I have ever shaved my head. They took their time to do it right and the beard trim was great, every eager to help. I would definitely recommend this place. Ask for Rob Jaramillo!

Best barbershop in jacksonville hands down. Ferrell has done an excellent job cultivating a specific vibe, and has done just as well at hiring fantastic barbers. I always feel better leaving that place than when I came in. If youre in need of a perfect haircut, do not hesitate to book an appointment.

Great place!! Amazing decor, vibe is great for men! They also did made such an incredible experience for children too. I highly recommend for groom and groomsmen to come before the wedding! Crossroads Jones was so nice he even gave the boys a shave and bought them a soda and candy!

The only issue Ive ever had is their haircuts are soooo good sometimes you cant get in to see the barber you want. But they all do a good job. What does this barbershop have in common with George Washington, John Pershing, and George Dewey? I’ll tell you, they all are deserving of a 6th star. While this shop technically is not General of the Armies, it definitely cuts hair like one.

What an experience! So happy to see Pomade & Tonic in my neighborhood. I called and was able to get an appointment within an hour of my call, I know was lucky, but still. I was able to explain my haircut I wanted to the person on the phone and they were accomodating. Parking right in front of the shop. The decor is very welcoming and comfortable. It has the feel of a private study or library. The music was throw back and chill. My barber/artist was Rob J., who asked question and made me feel very comfortable and confident in a first cut from him. My haircut looks amazing, I got a hot shave on my neck and a shoulder massage for $20 (always tip your barber)(Great job Rob). They offer online appoinment scheduling. Once the word gets out about this location, you will need an appointment. You wont be disappointed.

I felt comfortable right away and he took care of me by taking his time and getting my cut and beard trim perfect. I highly suggest talking to the barbers for their opinion. Theyre the first shop Id trust anyone with my hair, and both Adam and Rob are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled.

Both locations are excellent. For years now, I have only used Pomade and Tonic. I trust all of Farrells barbers to give me a proper cut and shave unlike any you could get at a salon.

If you havent been here then youre missing out! Came in looking like a scruffy mess, got The Hemmingway from Rob and he did a phenomenal job. I got an amazing haircut, beard and mustache trim and hot towel shave. Rob took his time and made sure I was satisfied with everything and I walked out grinning ear to ear.
