Ive been supporting black owned businesses throughout Jacksonville nc. I didnt need their services but my sons first barber is located here. I Love the design, atmosphere and positive energy from the inside that these Kings have built. If I had little males I would most assuredly use their services. I legit have no clue if these dudes even have licenses to cut hair. This past time I was there will most definitely be my last. My fade In the back was so uneven it’s not even funny and he cut my hair in maybe 3 minutes and was so rough the entire time. No attention to detail, not a care in the world if it even looks remotely decent and then on top of everything he acted like he didn’t have change and was trying to keep my whole $20 for the worst haircut of my life. One of many bad haircuts I’ve had from there!

Mr Barry Spoon the most kind and very professional Barber here in Jacksonville NC, show him a picture of how my boys wanted there hair cut, not only he did it right but less than 20 minutes out the door, Im upset that in the 3yrs of being here I did find this Shop!

We stopped in for a quick haircut before a big Boy Scout event, worried they wouldn’t have any spots open with covid. They were so friendly and got us right in! The cut looks wonderful(and I’m picky about my sons hair) his sister and I had a nice comfy place to sit while we waited. Thanks guys!

Unnecessary is all I can say. This was the second time going first time went with my son who goes here all the time, but after yesterdays visit I dont know why. Took my grandson and daughter to this place to get a haircut for my 2 yr.old grandson. There were 4 barbers on duty, after two of them were done with their clients then they proceeded to eat and one went outside the other the manager started playing on his phone. I finally I got up and talk to him afterwards, he did do my grandsons hair but never again. You shouldnt have to know somebody to get good customer service 🙄. P.S. Our family tips really really good but not for bad or no service.

I got my cut there and one of the guys were chocking me with the cape. Not also that but he was digging into my skin when getting a line up and lied about not having change.

I’ve gone for a haircut twice at this place so far each time they’ve dug in my head with the razors and when doing the skin fade I left bleeding both times also I’ve seen them taking phone calls while cutting hair.

Visiting this place weekly is something I look forward to. King kutz does not overly complicate the barber experience. I ask for a simple cut and they deliver even more!

This is a really nice place to come! My kids enjoy coming getting there hair cut here! The time of service is fast! Mr. Spoon has a really nice place and a very nice man! I recommend people come here for haircut!

Every single barber in here knows how to cut hair great. They always do my sons cut exactly the way I like it, and dont mind fixing it if theres something I dont bbn like about it. Prices are the best in town in my opinion.

Leaving after a haircut for the 2nd time from my line up I have 3 cuts from the buzzer he used, on top of feeling like my hair was being pulled by how fast he was trying to go. Very unsatisfied to see this company cares more about quantity then quality.

Really happy with my cut. The barber was excellent. I always have trouble finding a good barber that Im comfortable with but I went in there and got the best haircut Ive gotten in months. Definitely will be returning.

Hair cuts are twice as much as the rest of the city

Never again. You mean to tell me someone gave these people a barber licenses and most of them cant make 2 90°angles and a straight line in the front of a persons head. I only seen one good barber there. They need to practice cutting out dotted lines on paper before they destroy another life.

Have only received one good cut from the owner himself, spoon. I have been over charged for a haircut by one of the other barbers.

Dirty work station, not a welcoming environment. The barber I had displays no skill set let alone a barbers license. Last night I received the worst haircut since being in Jacksonville. You’re better off getting a fade at the Px. DO NOT NOT COME HERE IF YOU VALUE A GOOD HAIRCUT. Very disappointed with the overall experience.

Came here for the first time and received a barley average cut. It literally took less than 5min. I can only assume their speciality is cutting black hair not Mexican. Not the worst haircut but would not come back or recommend. If your looking for anyone to take the time to show any skills this is not the place, If your literally looking for a extremely fast cut with hardly no wait this is for you but dont expect anything special. As far as the overall shop it self and the bathroom is unsanitary.

I asked for a simple taper fade, he ended up cutting more than was necessary. I was not satisfied with my hair cut and I made sure he knew. No tip was given.

Spoon was great, cut my sons hair and made him feel comfortable best haircut he’s ever gotten!

Didnt use shaving cream. Didnt use anything. Even after the 5th time he cut me. It was so dry. All the cuts might have been cause he was on the phone the first half of the hair cut. Theres still patches on my head. What a shame. Not one of the other workers corrected him so ill assume theyre the same way.

My cut I got today was the cleanest Ive ever had! Met the owner today, he definitley will make sure you leave with a clean cut.

I told them to follow the hard part I had in my head and to not create a new line I specifically asked him not to put in a new line and he put in a new line in my head and made it out of regulations. I’m going elsewhere to get my head shaved.

If you expect to get a recruit haircut here, you are right. It feels like they cut your hair with rocks and when they slap the hell out of your neck with lube they will still ask for a tip. Never again.
