My brother, my son and I went in this establishment to get a haircut and right off the rip the barber Nicky Smith said she was able to cut my brothers hair and my sons hair but not mine. ( keep in mind I am African American). so i brushed it off and was going to let my son still get his done. Another barber came in and was told my son was waiting for his hair to be cut and the barber proceeded to skip my son and go to the gentleman that came in after me who is white. For one how can you be a barber if you cant cut all types of hair and secondly Id rather the barbers come out and say we only cut white people hair or this is a white only establishment. I would never recommend this place to anyone and I strongly/ highly recommend no one of color go to this place.

I got one of the worst haircuts of my life for $30. Asked for a 2 to zero fade on the side and scissor the top. My head looks like I got a 2 across-the-board.

Haircut was fine, no issues with it. This place suffers from a bit of confused identity. It’s just a plain ‘ol locally owned barbershop in my view. Seems to brand itself as a man’s lounge type place, even using the term Man Cave in an ad for its upcoming section in the store for grooming products. But it is NOT this. It has a small lounge section with sofas, and a TV…but the TV just plays ads. Hhhmmm. And the music? Think yacht rock station on Sirius XM. The place has potential….lots of it.

I booked and appointment with Stephanie and was not disappointed. I have been going to someone for years but had to change and Stephanie stepped up and gave me an amazing haircut. Definitely going back.Plus they had beer while you get your haircut! 🍻

Ive had my hair cut by a few different people here and liked the cuts Ive recieved from everyone. Now I routinely go to see Carrie and she does an awesome job every time. I have a beard and feel completely comfortable with her cleaning up my look all around. The shop is always clean and its always a great experience.

Weve been here a few times now and liked every stylist weve had. Today, Im writing my first review of them because we saw Derek... He was the best yet! He listened, he was careful and skilled, and he had the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. An added bonus, my teenager looked great as Derek was wrapping up, but we felt we wanted the front a bit shorter. I was impressed by Dereks immediate response to go back and make it exactly like we wanted it... No ego, only professionalism. We will definitely book with Derek next time.

Got here at 5 as a walk in was told they don’t have time. The guy was super rude and was just stuffing his face with food. This place has gone down hill since change in ownership. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a hair cut you should go somewhere else. According to the sign they close at 7pm.

Ali is always on point with my cut and trim. I have a very busy work schedule so I try to set an appointment up before each visit and he is always ready and waiting for me. Unfortunately I have had to reschedule or cancel a few times and it’s never an issue. I truly appreciate that. Great guy and a “fantastic” barber. He always exceeds my expectations!

Went to this shop as a first time client. If the barber didn’t know what he was doing with cutting black hair he should have stated as such. I left out the shop not realizing the barber left patches in my head where he clearly didn’t know what he was doing. I would not recommend this shop to anyone, unless you want to waste money and still have to see a professional to fix their mess up.Chino claimed to be nervous but I never knew it was to the point he would cover up his mishaps. One side was cut lower than the other and the lining at the back of my neck was completely off.First, of all I did show him the style I wanted he stated he wasn’t sure he knew how to do it. He wanted to give me some jacked up swoop in the front which I declined because it was uneven (have photos to prove it). Second, of all he took forever because he didn’t know what he was doing. I showed him over 10 pics that were similar in style all of which he refused. Next time join in on the conversation vs making false allegations. Don’t doubt he is a great barber, but my experience wasn’t some of his best work. If you can’t take a client critiquing your work then don’t allow reviews.

I have thick and strong brown hair, she used the comb and the clipper faded-up two side of my hair, then look so straight up and nice . This is exactly like the barber shop youve always wanted to go to. Ive been coming here for years and just about everyone that cuts my hair always does a great job. Everyones nice, they get along with each other, and it feels great to be there.

Im reading these reviews and the responses to the criticism makes a person not want to come to you guys barber shop. If someone feels a way thats how they feel dont respond as if they shouldnt feel that way. You guys were short and sweet with the good reviews but bad reviews will happen and responding with a attitude instead of saying I am sorry you feel that way and your experience wasnt good hopefully you come back and have a better experience. Just a heads up because people do read these reviews and just your replies back Im sure have turned customers away. Take the advice or not but trust I know what I am talking about.

Was a first time customer coming in for a simple beard trim and was not greeted in the first few minutes. When I did get acknowledged, they told me to have a seat. 30 minutes went by and still nothing, so I just got up and left. Very disappointed in their customer service.

I love my hair, because John C. does an outstanding job on my color, cut, and blow out!! People frequently ask me who my stylist is and I have referred several clients. Everyone who works at the salon is friendly and I am always greeted warmly when I walk in the door. The salon is clean, well-managed and I rarely wait more than a few minutes for my appointment, a true testament to the staffs efficiency.

Dont be fooled by all the nice reviews just because they serve beer! Went in and had my haircut by Mary Grace who was all over the place while doing my hair. also there were small children running up and bothering her and pulling on her legs while she was cutting! so unprofessional and when I told her not to cut my hair in a certain place she did it anyway! I went home and noticed several places she cut short or missed places altogether so I returned the next day to see what they could do for me. This is where it gets really bad! The woman working the front desk who barely spoke English kept trying to tell me to put gel in my hair and spike and style it to cover the stylists mistake! I dont use product in my hair like that and barbers are not supposed to cut your hair in a style you didnt want! She didnt seem to understand my frustration with her repeatedly telling me to just put gel in it so she got Mary Beth who came over and proceeded to tell me that she did exactly what I told her to do. she then stated I may have cut your bangs too short but I didnt mess them up to which I said well that would be messing them up... And she promptly threw her arms in the air and walked away. The owner asked what should they do to which I replied youre the barber here, you tell me and he offered a refund. As I accepted the money the owner had the audacity to say next time you get a haircut maybe you should communicate a little better I was stunned. I replied maybe you should act like a business owner and take responsibility for your employees instead of blaming your customers. Do NOT support this shop!

I come to this barbershop all the time. I get my hair done by Chris and his wife almost every time only this time Chris’ wife really messed up my hair. Everytime I visit I get the same haircut, and skin fade to a 2 and blend the top in. I knew she messed up when she told me “We usually do a 2 up here but we’re gonna do a 1 today because it looks more professional.” The top ended up looking way too long for the sides and I had to cut almost all of the hair off of the top of my head and it still is too long to blend in with the sides. If you mess up on my hair and let me know I won’t have a problem, I KNOW MY HAIR, I can tell you what I want to make it look decent at least. Now it looks like she messed up my hair and tried her best to fix it and cover it up. She could tell I was pissed when she had said that about going to a 1 and proceeded to try and make me feel like she was doing the right thing when she hadn’t. I also never thin my hair out because when it’s thin gel doesn’t tend to let me hair stay down. She thinned my hair out and told me after the fact like she was asking if that’s what I wanted done, and when I said no it’s okay I like it thick on top she told me she had already done it.I don’t know if she didn’t get enough sleep or what but my hair looks horrible and I didn’t have the guts to tell her in fromt of her husband and son. I don’t know if I will be returning here again.

This has been my barber since I moved to Jax in September. They have always been courteous and catered to my needs. However, there is one barber there that needs to go. I think his name is Yousef. I walked in, there was nobody waiting and Yousef was behind the counter. He was playing on his phone and didnt even acknowledge me. Not until the owner asked him to help me did he get up off his chair. He then led me to his barber chair and continued to play on his phone for a few more minutes or so. Then, he gave me a hard time when I asked for a short, military style haircut. I asked him to get the back of my neck and he raised his voice and told me to let him do his thing, but it was in a hostile tone. I paid and left. Although the haircut was decent, I will never go back until they get rid of that rude barber. Another thing is that they use the really cheap clippers. Anybody that has been to a real barber knows what good clippers are. But, I have yet to find a shop with good clippers anywhere in the area. Edit: I have the right barbershop. I was just guessing his name. Hes a fat guy that doesnt speak English very well with a scruffly beard.

Dont come here if you are any person of color. I came here Christmas eve thinking great they are open I was there 3 mins after they opened at 11:03am It was only 2 barbers at the time which is fine its Christmas eve but i wait for over 30 mins and a 3rd barber walks in they are whispering amongst themselves then finally the female barber who had just came in walks over to me and says we cant cut your hair because we dont know how so I would have to wait for what I assume was a black barber to to show up. My hair was already cut all I needed was a slight line up and medium fade which i explained to her and had pricing for it was the second item on thier menu so I assumed a professional barber shop with licensed barbers could line up and medium fade anyone. I really never had been so upset or felt a lil desciminated against so I just left Ive never been here and Ill never come here again.

If youre a guy and tired if not getting what you want at the hair Cutterys, Supercuts, great clips chain hair shops and/or actually just want a professional shave, this is the place to go. Cool, chill, kickback atmosphere but professional and clean at the same time. Chairs are comfortable and barbers are all personable so you dont just sit in the chair in awkward silence hoping they dont jack your **** up (looking at you Supercuts)! Three different barbers and 3 good cuts, but if you like talking football CJ is your man! Oh yeah....and free 🍺.
