My two sons both visited here today and I was greeted instantly by Torres. Torres cut both of my sons hair and did a wonderful job. He was very gentle with my 2 and 4 year old. It’s hard to find a good barber who is flexible and gentle with kids. So if you ever go there ask for Torres.

They are constantly looking for ways to make the hair cut experience a great one. I like that they have an appointment system instead of just walking in and waiting for hours to be seen. Overall a great place for a cut.

Called and asked for an appointment, and the person answering the phone told me I didnt need an appointment, just walk in. Proceeded to walk in and waited 20 min while barbers finished up (No big deal). Then was told the barbers had another appointment and I would have to come back in a couple hours... Why not just give me an appointment? Total lack of professionalism, dont waste your time on this place like I did.

Sal Diaz is the best barber I’ve had in Jacksonville. The other other barbers seem really good as well. Make sure you pay attention to which location your appointment is at, because there are two.

My go to place when i lived in jax wouldnt let anyone else get near me with clippers, evertime im in or around town for a short trip sal gets me hooked up and looking right

This must have been my worst experience at a barbershop. I was in AmptheBarber chair for 45 minutes and did not get what I asked for. He was extremely rude, even made a sexist comment saying, “This is why I don’t like cutting women hair, it’s like they lack confidence and have to look before the cut is over.” I was checking to make sure it’s what I wanted. That’s it. He did not cut, trim or even the top as I asked but still charged $25. Now, I have to go to another barbershop just so they can finish the cut.All while this was happen, not a single other employee intervened to tell me not to be rude or to offer to finish the cut. I will never go here again.

Great atmosphere, first time in a few years have had a haircut by someone other than myself and second time since living in Jax. Clean fade, along with details taken care of! Will be returning on a regular! Eric, cut my hair this time, but nobody in the shop, from what I seen will disappoint! Great prices also!

Will not be returning. When I got home I could definitely see fade lines, haircut was uneven, and I asked for a skin fade and that was definitely not what I got. The atmosphere was nice, though. And the line-up was clean. But I will be getting another haircut within a few days to fix this one. Thank you for trying, but no thanks.

Got recommended to this place since I’m new to the area. Once I walked in, seemed relax and a chill place, at first perfect spot! Good music, everything is good. So I take my haircut, I ask for a simple blowout and to trim the top. Towards the end he left my sides crooked, one straight and the other zagged, and it was the zagged that was noticeable from the get, not even something I could hide. I really didn’t look at my hair till I got in my car and noticed how bad a haircut it was. Maybe it was just a bad day or something but it was bad and not really was I looking for but it’s okay. Next time I’ll make sure I’m more specific but either way, great place just a bad day for me.

I had never had my hair cut by a barber before, but I feel like they did a good job, especially considering my lack of ability to communicate what I wanted. My barber was very patient with me, and went back over what I didnt like.The atmosphere is very laid back, with loud rap music playing from a speaker. The employees are quite comfortable and talkative, which I liked, but perhaps that isnt everyones cup of tea.The prices were fine, with my haircut costing me 15$. Having never gone to a barbershop, I had no idea that the etiquette was to tip your barber, so I feel a little guilty after the job that my barber did.Overall, I had a good experience. The barbers take their time and seem to be comfortable havin a good ole chat while they work. The atmosphere is tricky to rate because some people will love it and some people will hate it, and that is true of nearly every shop. Its also difficult for me to rate this barbershop because its the only one Ive been to, but if I were to rate it purely on how I felt about the experience, Id have to give em all 5 stars.

Usually they do an excellent job, I dont know what they did this time. One side was faded and the other isnt. Also, they put a line the size of a pencil in my hair.

One time I booked an appointment and came late for 2 minuets and he said he couldn’t do it and it was just a tape up (edge up ) so he told me to book another appointment and I did and I wanted to go again which is weeeks later he said you don’t need to make an appointment just for an edge up cause it’s a couple of minutes but yet why didn’t they get me the first time I went if it was just a tape up so don’t go waste money on gas cause most likely they still won’t get you without an appointment
