After nearly a year, my wife is finally letting me post this.I sought First Coast Climate Control out because of a positive review. Needed a repair to the coffin the handler sat on and some minor maintenance. The technician was terrible, missed details, forgot to bring parts (twice), took a hammer, left a sprayer, said a vent was blowing air and then that it was an intake vent. He spoke to a girlfriend on the phone about hi pain medication use and his employer needing to pay him commission and then comes in to tell me we need to do x for $$. Meanwhile, he didn’t check the one thing I specifically asked him to check. Plus he smoked, left cigarettes butts in my garage.Two repair trips to our house by one technician and then another trip by a different technician.I thought I was a case of ‘good company hiring a terrible tech’, so I let it go - trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt based on the positive reviews I had heard and the quality of the second technician and the office staff. Also, I figuring it was settled and I wouldn’t have to use them again.Immediately afterward we noticed the heating pump blowing was cold air (literally dropping the temperature in the house). We’re hoping the first technician just overlooked something when he put the system back together.This summer the unit started leaking again - its Florida, humid, etc. I go check to see if the united is iced up. No, not iced but there’s ~4 inches of standing water in the coffin. Put a level on it and the damn thing is tipping AWAY from the drain. It hasn’t been draining correctly this entire time.I had such high expectations from First Coast Climate Control and have been very disappointed. First Coast Climate Control needs to do a better job of screening its technicians.Have not and will not do business with them ever again.

I subscribe to the service plan. $15 a month is charged to my credit card WITHOUT FAIL OR DELAY. For this fee I am to receive 2 cleanings and checkups a year and discounted priority service. I have been trying to schedule service for months and nobody will return my calls. Another month passes and another charge but NO SERVICE and NO CALL BACK.

Hard working people. Found the issue and resolved it. Been using them for years since they installed the system over 7 years ago

Great company for installation, horrible for follow up & service. They installed my new ac system in 2018, had to replace my thermostat in 2019, now (2021) my the evaporator coils need replacing! Call after call is not returned. Website is down, their listing is taken off Angies List, and rated F with the BBB.

AVOID THIS COMPANYThis used to be a good company, but should now be avoided as they have gone way downhill. I used them to install 4 separate AC units. They started with major brands but have swapped those out for less known brands.My final install was fine until tenant called a month later saying it was not running. FCCC sent out a tech that showed up driving their personal vehicle and said company van has been in shop for weeks, which is not a good sign. Tech said issue was air flow and that the (new unit just installed by them) was oversized for the townhouse and I should install more vents to help. I decided to wait and then 3 days later the tenant called again to report a $700 electric bill for the past month.I called FCCC again for multiple days and finally got through and setup an appointment to investigate more. FCCC skipped that appointment. I called another company since I was bleeding money and they found the issue in 5 minutes: turns out FCCC was using a recalled thermostat known for problems and the AC was running 24x7 causing the high electric bills.I did finally got ahold of owner Ed and, like other here have mentioned, he was going to think about it make the situation ($700 electric bill and $$ for competitor repairs) but then ghosted me.The owner used to file all paperwork and the city would come inspect (as required). With new owner and the latest install, however, they stopped doing that completely as it was a hassle...Lots of warning flags here and best to avoid.

My air handler was leaking a small amount of water and I was working with Ed the owner (after one of his guys came and had no idea what he was doing and didn’t even have the needed tools, he borrowed mine). After several visit they couldn’t figure it out. Then Ed went silent on me. Said he wanted to figure it out and would call me with a time to come out and look at it again. I never heard from him and after reaching out still no response. I finally called American Standard who recommended another company who knew right away what the issue was and fixed it. I know have a new HVAC company I’ll be using and will never use this company again.

Make sure you do research before using this company. They are highly unprofessional and do not keep appointments. It took 3 days for anyone to even contact me back. They serviced my unit 3 weeks ago and I had to hire another company that is certified to tell me I have a coolant leak. If they serviced my unit correctly we would have known this 3 weeks ago.

I have had them hear two times f in the last two weeks system they installed Feb 2018. The unit blows cold runs and stops every 10 minutes before it heats upThey told me it would be a week before someone could come and check the system We have also had problems with the discharge drain line blocking several times each year. I hope the problem is fixed.Ktried to contact the company on July 21st and 22ndNo one answers the phone they dont return your phone calls its the same problem that we had in the past they want to sell you the productt they dont want to service it

First Coast Climate Control is a very professional air condition repair and replacement company. I called them out last year this time. My unit was at the place of no return. I called First Coast Climate Control and set up the appointment. Alex came out and we went over every detail concerning a new unit. He didnt rush us or anything. He really had the listening ear and had excellent suggestions. We chose the unit that we would be satisfied with. The techs were very knowledgeable with the installation. I have been using CCC for just over a year now and I have no complaints. They are very professional and honest. This is a company that truly cares about providing great customer service to their clients. I recently had an A/C issue arise early Friday evening and Alex came out to take care of it. It was a quick fix and all was good. I greatly appreciate the fact that they thoroughly explain the process to me. I want to see whats going on and understand it. They take me through it.

I had a mini split AC/heat unit put into my back room. The whole process working with Certified Climate Control from estimate all the way through install was easy and pleasant. Everyone was professional and thorough in the job that they did. It may have been the time of the year, but the time from when I stated I wanted to move forward to install was far quicker than I expected. It went so well they will be my go to company for all of my AC needs.

First Coast Climate Control provided great service to our older house, replacing the air conditioning duct work. We now have cleaner air, our system is more efficient and there are no leaks. This work provided us a healthier environment and a lower electric bill. Hats off to First Coast!

They gave me the best deal around on my 3.5 ton Goodman. Installed everything within a couple hours and we are thrilled to now have a cheaper light bill. The guys who installed it were super friendly and great with my toddlers who were all too interested in what they were working on. One pet peeve I may have was a couple bit of spray foam were let in my yard but it was windy so I cant blame them too much. They were amazing when I followed up with questions on my rebates and even the inspection went great. Will definitely recommend and use again in the future!

We have used First Coast Climate Control for the 2nd time and they are excellent. Found them through Google search. We have a Florida Aquifer Heat pump A/C. Our home was built in 1954. Not sure when the A/C system was installed but its ancient. We kept it when we purchased the home 3 1/2 years ago since it was still working. We have had a freon leak a year and half ago, First Coast Climate came out on a weekend service call. They waived the service call fee with repair and filled in with freon. This Memorial 2019 weekend the inside temp hit 85. We placed an Emergency call to First Coast and Earnie came out on the next afternoon (Sunday). He spent an hour going over the unit and testing everything. He explained the system is very old and its extremely hot outside so the unit is working as hard as it can! When it came time for the bill he said they were not even gonna charge us. We asked about converting to a new system and he gave us specs of what we would need in the future.Excellent service. Highly recommend!!!

Certified Climate control came to our home and gave us a free estimate for a new air and heat system. Ed Kitchen was very knowledgeable and gave us a complete rundown of each system. We compared prices with 3 other companies and chose the best value with the most options from CCC.The crew and Ed came at the appointed time and date and the old system was removed and the new one installed in one day. They explained the system operation and came back in 3 weeks to make sure all was well. Very satisfied and have already recommended them to my neighbors.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Certified Climate Control. They did an awesome job helping my husband and I understand what was wrong with our AC and what needed to be done to fix it. They went above and beyond to help temporarily fix our AC until the part could be bought and fixed the next day. We were able to sleep in a cooled house and they were out to finish fixing the issue the very next morning as promised. The second visit was even better as Tommy was very knowledgeable about what we were describing was wrong and fixed it right away and finished fixing the problem we had previously. Their customer service and attitude was very friendly and helpful really trying to do the best for us the customer. He really tried to help us financially afford what needed to be fixed without breaking the bank. Ed answered the phone on Sunday morning ( not an, answering service) and Carl was out to the house shortly afterward. Carl showed respect for my home wearing shoe covers and laying a drop cloth before accessing the attic. He fixed an relay in the handler which was in an attic that was over 120 degrees on the Sunday morning . Carl did this without a single complaint. The price was reasonable and service stellar. I will be calling Certified Climate Control when the time arrives to change the two aging AC units in my home . I trust this company and wish all service repair companies operated with this level of integrity. Thank you.

I interviewed 5 HVAC companies......First Coast Climate Control was the only company that recognized I had a problem that none of the other companies picked up. They did a first class job on installation, explaining how everything worked (including new thermostat) and cleaning up afterwards. Their attitude and determination to perform a meticulous job was obvious. They were a little higher than the other companies, BUT PERFORMED MUCH MORE OF THE WORK NEEDED than any other company was going to do. I highly recommend you ask for Ernie (lead installer) and Levi, they worked great together and took their time in making sure all work was meticulous and that I was happy with the job. If I could have given 6 stars I would have. PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE FOR THE UNIT I RECEIVED AND QUALITY OF THE WORK! P.S. I have no interest in this company (business or otherwise). I will recommend them to all my friends and will use no other to service my unit. Weve purchased two separate HVAC systems from CCC now, and have been very impressed with their service. We purchased our first unit more than 2 years ago, and its still running great. They came out as scheduled and had it up and running later that afternoon. We had some issues with some hot and cold spots in the house and they provided a perfect solution with a wireless thermostat. We received several quotes from others. Their prices were better than the rest and the follow up service has been great.

I cant say enough good things about First Coast Climate Control (formerly Certified Climate Control). I called them requesting a quote for a new HVAC system because mine went out. I spoke with Alex on the phone for an initial quote and then he came out to fine tune the details. Communication was excellent! He was very thorough in his quote and also extremely patient with all of my questions and requests. We have two ac units for our two story house and were looking for the best value of SEER vs price, humidity control, and air purification. I felt like Alex really tried to understand what I was looking for and was surprised to find out their price was the most competitive. Once we decided what we wanted, Alex was very clear on the process and set very clear expectations. On the day of the install, Ernie, Levi, and Lee worked tirelessly to get everything installed and working properly. I offered them lunch and drinks, but they politely declined because they had planned ahead with their own food and drinks. These guys worked incredibly hard in the Florida heat! They were overly cautious with our home and covered all the carpet with drop cloths to be sure nothing was damaged. I had a great experience using Certified Climate Control from start to finish. They came out 2 weeks ago to repair my HVAC. After calling several companies I called them and they were able to come out the same day and didnt give me a ridiculous block of time for when theyd arrive. The technician arrived early. He was knowledgeable, polite and did a great job of explaining what needed to be done. They are affordable and honest. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing to have their HVAC repaired.

I wouldnt use any other company for my air conditioning. The quality of their work is excellent and the employees are very nice. That combination is really hard to fine. My air conditioning stopped working yesterday afternoon, they had someone out in just a few hours. I was given an accurate window of time. The service man took less than an hour to not only diagnose the problem but to also fix it. They are a permanent contact in my phone.

June 24th a technician came out to our home to service our HVAC system because our air had stopped working. The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. He had all the tools and equipment he needed for the job! He had our air working in about 30 minutes. This company is absolutely amazing! Ive been a customer for around a year now and I honestly cant say enough about them, the employees are always respectful and on time. Just this morning I had a repairman/inspector named Tommy come over to my house and inspect my AC Unit for the summer and he did a phenomenal job! He was not only quick to complete the job before I headed off to work, but also courteous to the other cars in my driveway as he assured his truck didnt block anyone in! On top of that, he gave me advice for different air filters to accommodate my sons severe asthma and even advice on a part for my water pump that continually fails leaving my two kids and I without water. Great service. Called Friday morning and the tech came out that afternoon. The AC had stopped working in our three year old unit. The diagnostic/evaluation fee was waived and the part was under warranty. The cost of labor and installation was fair and reasonable. The tech, Tommy Holten, explained everything as he went along and stated that a maintenance program would prevent this situation from occurring in the future. I signed up for the Premium Protection Plan and look forward to the 24-point tune-up every six months.

What a great outfit! I had issues with my downstairs HVAC unit back in Jan, and after several false starts with a company sent by my home warranty provider, I called First Coast. They sent a tech quickly who fixed the problem efficiently and cost effectively.Several weeks ago, my upstairs HVAC unit started having issues. They sent Rasheed out who diagnosed the issue, discovered the warranty info, and fixed the problem. In the process, he discovered that the compressor was starting to go also and was under warranty.I was leaving for a 2 week trip too soon to fix it then, so he got the unit set to work for what I needed while I was gone and said we could schedule the compressor replacement when I got back.I called to schedule, and Nia worked with me to get Rasheed out within 2 days, when it fit best in my schedule.I really recommend these guys if you need HVAC work. Very professional, flexible, and reasonably priced.

Unfortunately I had to replace my HVAC system. I received quotes from several companies, including the most recognizable names in the Jacksonville area. I noticed an ad for CCC and thought to try them as well. Alex, who does the estimate came out promptly and spent more time assessing the situation than most of the reps from other competitors. I selected CCC based on a very competitive price and have not regretted the decision. The installers were professional and courteous and I couldnt be happier with the new system. Would not hesitate to recommend CCC to anyone seeking repairs or replacement of an HVAC system.

We recently purchased a new HVAC system from Certified Climate Control. This was the our first time having to purchase a new HVAC system. From the initial call to have someone come out if give an estimate to the final installation, we were extremely happy with the service. Alex came out and in detail and in terms I could understand broke down the components of my faulty system and why it potentially failed prematurely ( previous owner had it installed 9 years prior). Tommy and his install team were very thorough and professional while installing the unit. Overall, we had several companies come out and CCC was by far made us feel the most comfortable while navigating a new HVAC system.

Purchased heat pump system on 05/09/2017. So far, the product is performing well. Had a little slight hiccup with the agreed installment date, it was changed to the next day. My wife and I each loss time from work due to the unexpected date change. Their explanation given, was some type of problems between the Manufacturers and CCC. Otherwise, CCCs installers did show up 45 minutes late, after the agreed schedule time.. They called, stated they was caught in traffic. I noticed some questionable work habits, they would not ask permission for using our kitchen sink rinsing out their work cloths. One of the installers, used one of our dinner room chairs to stand in to perform a task, instead of getting his ladder. He stated he wasnt that heavy. I wonder, had the chair broken, would CCC cover the replacement cost without a hassle? During their installation, not once did the installers ask for the use of a broom to sweep up any debris from the removal of the air handler inside our hallway. I had to perform that task. One of the installer, stated to me, that he had to get finish, one of his friends called him with tickets to a concert. Now, I am let with the concern, if they had cut corners on the installation process, so he could make the concert. Also, when the branch manager came out to provide a quote to me, he would put plastic shoe covers entering my home. Not once did any of the installers use any plastic shoe covers, they was constantly walking in and out of our home tracking dirt from the yard. We now have to get the carpet cleaned. Whatever, happen to people taking pride in their craft and professionalism? I do appreciate the price and value of the purchase, given by CCC. I would refer others to use their service. I do feel some customer skills retraining for their installers would go a long way in customer relationship building.

My downstairs 5 ton unit was broken and needed replacement, downstairs one side of my home used to get very cool and other side very little, upstairs (on separate unit) was cooling but not enough even after unit running for very long. Alex from CCC came and did very thorough assessment (went through complete downstairs and upstairs attic spaces). I was very impressed with his patience and focus on details. He explained to me with full details why ducting was the main problem for uneven cooling downstairs and less cooling upstairs. He drew detailed ducting diagrams - existing and proposed - to explain how his recommendations will solve these problems. Being engineer by profession myself, I had several questions. Alex came twice to my home to discuss and answer my questions. He spent 5-6 hrs over couple of days to complete assessment and answer all my questions. Alex was able to gain my full confidence that solution he was proposing will work. I had 6-7 other contractors, including the one who installed AC and ductwork when home was initially built, do assessment and provide estimates. Some of them did not even care to go in attic but provided estimates for duct work. Others did go in attic to do assessment but no one took pains & time to fully understand and explain the problem. I was not convinced that their recommendations will solve my problems. CCCs price for unit replacement was extremly competitive. CCCs price for duct work was not comparable as no one else provided similar solution but I felt it was very reasonable based on type and extent of work. Based on all this I decided to go with CCC to do my job. Alex very well earned that.Alex and crew showed up on time. All of the them were very professional, courteous and diligent in their work. Completed work over 3 days as duct work was extensive and attic space very limited/restrictive. I was very happy that despite 2-3 people being in attic for 3 days, they completed the duct work without any damage to my home. Every day after the work they cleaned up my home and garage as necessary. Alex and I went through the check list and verified that all of the work was completed as planned.Though it is early but so far everything is going well and outcomes are what I had expected - downstairs (2975 sq ft) cooling evenly throughout the home and upstairs cooling much better.This was my best experience ever with any contractor doing any job on my home. Alex and crew did commendable job. I would be very happy to recommend them to anybody.

Our AC stopped working Friday night so I looked on Angies List and called the first company that was on the list. They came out the following day. The technician was very professional and gave us the run down of what was going on. We had the thing fixed within 30 minutes!
