I purchased my new construction home in 2019. Ever since my closing, there has been consistent issues with my AC unit. Multiple calls have been made to Del-Air and several technicians came to my home. Each visit, I would be told nothing can be fixed, however the unit was failing to cool my home. The General manager responded to my home and informed me that he was also unsure as to why the unit was failing to cool my home. Multiple thermostats were placed inside my home to test the “heat index”, before the unit would be replaced! After two weeks and the collection of the thermostats, still no word to a solution. To sum up this experience, a new compressor was placed in the unit and finally it began to work. To this date, every three to four months something is going wrong with my unit. I asked numerous times to speak to the general manager from the initial issue and I have been pushed to the side. Stay far away from this company, as they do not place their customers as a priority!
Our thermostat was fried during a storm. They were able to get someone to us on a Sunday night. The tech diagnosed the issue and installed a new thermostat in less than an hour. The tech and call center were professional and polite.

I used Del-Air in the past and was very pleased with the service. However, I had an A/C issue late in the evening and called the after hours line and scheduled appointment for the following day between 12-5 and the support side they would call you before they come. Well 5 pm so I called back the call center was told they were very busy and were backup but I was still on the schedule and they would be out shortly. 730 pm and I called the after hours lines and was told “oh yes you are still on the schedule and the technicians work til midnight.” Really??? Why even make appointment. I canceled the appointment and went with another company that will actually show up.Don’t use del air unless you want to await around until midnight for service.
The Technicians were on time. Upon meeting they introduced themselves by name, their company, and confirmed my name and appointment. They wore mask at all times and without request always removed their shoe before entering. Upon completion they shared their findings on the service and recommendation on how often a filter should be changed. They were polite and professional at all times.
We purchased a new house in Fernandina Beach in June 2019 that had an AC system installed by Del-Air. It is a two story house with just under 2500 square feet of living space. A dual zone single AC unit was installed for the entire house. The first problem with the unit was it would not cool the upstairs in the summer time. The second problem was it leaked water from the air return located below the unit due to a clogged up drain system. The third problem was the installer did not glue up all of the PVC lines at the AC unit. The condensation overflow shutoff was just stuck together and not glued to be level in place. The forth problem was that it stopped cooling totally due to a defective freon control valve. The AC unit had to be repaired because the Freon control valve had been clogged up by the contaminates that were present when the coolant line was installed. The part was covered by warranty but it still cost us $650 to have it installed.

Jalon did excellent job installing the external grill on our Carrier outside A/C component.Ron (the Jacksonville supervisor) did excellent follow-up coordinating my request with the Del-Air corporate office in Sanford. The parts department at corporate obtained the part from Carrier. It was a team effort, Del-Air consistently demonstrates the benefit of doing business with an employee owed company. I was first their customer in Lake MARY (north Orlando) and was so satisfied with them, after moving to Jacksonville I bought a new system from them here to replace the old machine in our newly purchased home. They are loyal to me and I’m loyal to Del-Air....

I cant say enough about Oliver!!! This guy is very knowledgeable, courteous, respectful & takes the time to explain things. He addressed an issue with our dampers a few years back & he did a great job then, too! I also want to thank Patsy for doing everything in her power to remedy a miscommunication. My outside equipment gets sunshine and the service tech wrote the numbers in ink so future techs would know what they needed to verify. He did an excellent job cleaning my filters inside and the permanent ones. He cleared the drains and reset my temp controls. As I had difficulty doing so. I recommend Dale and Del Air to all.

I never realized before what I was missing out on when I had been with other HVAC companies. They spend so much time cleaning, testing, repairing, and just doing the job of maintenance. I am truly impressed and would never use anyone else. In addition, the service technicians are the most friendly and knowledgeable customer service oriented people. They answer questions and troubleshoot potential of future problems. I’m just totally amazed by them!!!

First time to use Del Air and was pleasantly impressed. They came prepared with all the equipment and special micron filter we requested. Took time to do the work right and explain why he was doing it. Dismantled and diagnosed our broken pool water heater at same time. Best service contract we’ve ever signed. Recommend them highly.
Del-Air took our request for service at 7:45 pm, an actual person took the call. Excellent.They promised a next day service on A/C repair. We do have an annual service contract. The service tech did come the next day at 4 pm as we were advised. Although it was almost 100 degrees today, the knowledge of the service man outweighed any inconvenience. He diagnosed the problem right away and got us back online quickly. I give top marks for the repair tech and overall effort.
We arrived home from a vacation to have our house air conditioning not operating. outside temperatures were around 98 and it felt like a 110 degrees. Del Air to the rescue. Oliver our HCV technician arrived to our home and within minutes got us up and running. He is an awesome technician and we are thankful to the entire Del-Air team for their assistance!

Absolutely Nothing!!! As a fist time homeowner I am so disgusted with Del-air as a Company. I will never use or refer this company out to anyone. I closed on 10/25/18 and as of today 3/22/2020 which is not even a year and a half out I am having to replace a $810 part. It seems as if a faulty or shoddy unit was placed in my brand newly built home when the unit was first installed. If this review will serve to save someone from the likes of Del-air runnnnn!!!! And they have the nerves to offer me a maintenance plan! Noo! thanks only good thing was the Technician Loenardo was awesome. Very professional and explained everything he was doing to me.
Del-Air called and made appointment 3 weeks out for a morning appointment. Technician arrived after lunch. When I called to find out what time morning was, I was informed morning is anytime prior to noon. Service staff on phone, manager on phone both not helpful. Technician performed his task quickly and without drama but the phone people left a bad taste in my mouth. I am under a maintenance contract with them but they really do need some training in the service department etiquette. They kept saying when you call to make an appointment (which I didnt they called me) to schedule my maintenance appointment I should specifiy time. When they did call I did say morning, technician arrived at 12:45. If I wasnt under contract and warranty I would look for another company.
Dont choose Del Air for your AC installation or service! They wont stand by their work! Weve been homeowners for years and havent EVER had so many issues with an AC system, especially not A NEW ONE! We are 3 months outside of builder warranty (our AC system is 1y 3m old) and are on our THIRD SERVICE CALL! Del Air wants to charge us $600 in labor for a defective part that is only 15 months old AND is now not returning our calls to their service manager to rectify the issue. If you want to work with a company who stands by their service and product, Del Air isnt who you want to go with.

Del-air technician, Oliver, found a Freon leak in the heat exchanger during an annual maintenance visit. He was extremely thorough, helpful and friendly. Del-Air scheduled a replacement of the heat exchanger for the next day. The technicians, Jerry and Kyle, were right on time and very professional, helpful, courteous and focused. The job was completed quickly and both inside and outside work areas where left tidy and undisturbed. Everything met out expectations.

So I was scheduled today for Del air to come to my house for annual maintenance, originally they was supposed to come between 8-12, then I called to get it it changed to the afternoon and they already had me down for the afternoon. Then they called at 3 and said a tech was on the way and was not. Another dispatcher called and said the first dispatcher double book appointments. The tech finally called me at 615 pm and I was upset told him they will have to reschedule and it’s too late to come. This company is very unorganized and not punctual.
Del Air sends the nicest guys and does a very thorough job. My husband and I are both relieved to have Del help us take care of our home.

Weve had Del-Air as our heating and a/c service for over 4 years. Weve been very pleased. From the first contact via telephone at the home office to the service tech who comes to our home, every staff member is professional and friendly. Our a/c went out a couple of months ago on a brutally hot Saturday and Del-Air was able to get someone out to our home that afternoon. The technician, Eric, worked diligently for over 2 hours in the heat and was able to repair the problem. Couldnt have asked for better responsiveness and, again, professionalism was top-notch.

We have had technicians come out soooooo many times! Our AC leaked and damaged our floor, twice!! Delair built some aluminum thing (tacky) going up our two story home to resolve it BUT our AC is still leaking and constantly running! The first night we moved in our brand new home the AIR went out!! Instead of putting a new unit their constantly patching the issue!! I’m beyond frustrated and going to seek an attorney!
Just brought my house in Sept 2018 and June 2019 the compressor is out..They giving me a turn time of 4 days and refuse to put me and my family up in a hotel. The initial service call to them was Friday they tell me someone will be here Monday I escalated it they came in about 4 hours. Come to find out they have to order the part they dont have it in stock. I called the next day to check on the part and here they go again with it will be Monday it Saturday I escalated it again they say they can go to Tampa and get one..Ok So that mean I will be up and running on Saturday since it 10 in the am tamp 3 hours from Jacksonville. No they saying we cant get it to your place until Sunday. HELL Tampa is 3hours fron Jacksonville and you telling me this at 10 am why do i have to wait another day in the hot house.... Del air says each employee owns the company but the employee from stand point Del air and the employees dont care about the customer with this .

I called Del-Air to check out our A/C unit. Our house has three thermostats for three independent zones of our house and only one was not communicating to the A/C unit to cool the area of the house so it was obvious the A/C unit itself was not the issue. The issue was with either the thermostat or the computer that communicates to the A/C unit.I had a local HVAC professional from our neighborhood look at it and he provided a temporary fix but he recommended I call Del-Air if it happened again since it was their equipment.Two Del-Air employees, Eric Montelongo and Anthony Wilkinson arrived at my house but Anthony was not wearing a Del-Air uniform and instead, wearing very dirty clothes. I immediately explained what I had already done and what I wanted them to look at it but it was clear that there was a communication barrier because they would immediately start asking questions to answers I had just provided in my explanation. They would continue to ask similar questions that I had already answered throughout their check of the system. Due to their lack of listening to my explanation, they wasted time in looking at other areas of the house and unit that were not of a concern.After about 1.5 hours, the identified it was the computer in the thermostat, which I originally told them it was. They then proceeded to uninstall and do a hard reset of the thermostat, which proceeded to fix the problem. They also made me feel dumb because I had some vents closed in areas of the house that a not used and insisted that I open them.I asked for a bill and they left the house. I assumed they had left but about an hour later, while me wife and I are preparing dinner, they just walked into the house like they owned the place. We have two infants and two dogs that went crazy at the intruders. They said that they needed to prepare the bill and must have been in our driveway the whole time.The invoice was charging me for their $79 diagnostic fee along with $106 for a customer supplied thermostat. Essentially, they were charging me for the same thermostat that was in my house the whole time, as I did not have an extra thermostat to supply to them.I called customer service and escalated the invoice. They had a supervisor, Harold Summers, call me back the next day in which I explained the scenario again. He was also not listening to my concerns as he almost immediately resorted to threats to send the invoice to collections if I did not pay for the thermostat that was not provided. I asked him to escalate it sooner and he provided me with his supervisor’s, Richard Fortin, number. He also heard my concerns but had a tone that I was a deadbeat just trying to get out of a bill and did little to empathize with my experience with his employees. I am still waiting on a resolution but regardless of the outcome, I could not recommend using a local, independent HVAC contractor enough. The diagnostic charge is fairly uniform and you are more likely to get a technician that will LISTEN to what you have to say and not treat you as a deadbeat or an idiot.
The picture was the quote from Del-air to replace my blower Motor in my a/c handler. (Almost $1350😭Luckily I called around and McGowans heating and air had the part on hand and did it for $825.00. AC is in a necessity in FL so maybe Del-air assumes I would pay anything to get my home cool again! McGowans saved me over $500.
