Fist time customer and came in for an inspection. Met Dean, the owner. Very friendly, courteous and had casual conversation. The inspection was done quickly and efficiently. He did ask if I needed an oil change, but it wasnt due. He invited me back and I will be going back! Thank you Dean!

I arrived at 10:45 it is currently 12:01 and I’m sitting in this car port with my car off in 100+ degree weather, I’ve only seen one person attending vehicles while multiple are inside the building. Multiple cars have turned around, being closer to the building I decided to stay. Big mistake. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Take 5 and I’ve had chosen this place to take care of my vehicle. I will be finding a new place after this. Someone needs to come to this location and show them how to run the location because this is down right ridiculous .

I have come here for every oil change since I bought my first car in 2017.I have *never* had a bad experience, and usually Im in and out. Everyone who works here is informative and kind. They remind you over other things due on your vehicle, like wipers and filters, and can even tell you when they were last done by them if youve opted for it before. Today they had technical issues and continued to check on me (in the rain, because it wasnt my turn yet!) every so often. I cannot recommend them enough. I send my mom here, my sister, everyone!
Really like the in car service. Staff is very professional. Prices are a tad bit on the high side, but worth it I think. Actually when you consider the free top off and tire pressure check midway through the service period, its probably economical all in.
I wouldve given this Take 5 a 1 star rating if it were not for the manager (Dean). Good management is really the key to the success of an establishment. He was calm, understanding, and swift at resolving the issue. He is an asset to this location. Keep him around!I received an oil change today and to my knowledge all fluids were topped off. I proceeded immediately afterward to get a state inspection at Kwik Kar (3 min away) who told me my coolant was empty. I called and informed Dean who was kind and understanding. He informed me of new attendants who may have forgotten to fill the coolant tank and told me to come back to the location. Upon arrival they filled the coolant reservoir and also are giving me a free oil change on my next visit. The wrong manager would have left a bad taste in my mouth but I have no problem coming back to this location. Thanks Dean!
Why is it called take five oil change when iI have been waiting for 30 minutes in the carport while 3 guys work on one car and 2 are just watching while the manager is just standing watching kinda ridiculous customer service as well. They said it will be 15 minutes when i arrived. Ive been here for a hour now. I arrived at 515 didnt leave til 635 horrible wait time and the workers didnt know what they were doing. Its a oil change not rocket science

Omar and Tony were courteous and prompt. Omar showed me the different prices for their oil change. He didnt try to upsell anything, rather Omar asked me about my average daily commute to recommend the type of oil to use.They went above and beyond just changing the oil, they also checked the other fluid levels in the car and recommended that I change the air filter. Omar even showed me what my air filter looked like versus a new one.Omar explained every step of what they were doing. Even looked away when I was typing in my pin for the charges 😃.Not sure if they train these people about superb customer experience or its just their own personality showing thru. Either way, they exceeded my expectations and Ill definitely be using Take 5 next time.

I recently just moved here from New York and i do not trust people with my car and i only had one mechanic that dealt with my vehicle.David was very friendly, straightforward and went above and beyond trying to help me and made sure the car was good and double checked everything in my vehicle and made sure i was happy.Is hard to find people that genuinely care and try to help instead of just doing the regular procedure and doing the regular oil change.I would recommend this place because of the great staff they have and the manager is very humble and honest.

I arrived at 3:12 and there was 4 cars there total. I saw 3 employees working. They were all working on the same car. So the line was moving very slowly. They didnt seem to have any kind of assembly line going. William took my information. While Christopher worked under the hood. When they were done and gave me my receipt It was 5:23. I cant believe it took 2 hours. I have never waited so long before. I dont think Ill return here who has time? They did have a free top off when you are midway to next change which is a good deal if you have a couple of hours to spare.
DO NOT COME HERE. THEY WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU AS A CUSTOMER, PERSON, OR JUST SOMEONE TRYING TO MAINTAIN YOUR VEHICLE. Short mexican guy yelled out frustratedly that he told me to wait, while i was in my car, windows up, sun in my eyes, after waiting 30 minutes with no kind of acknowledgement i was even there, and i stopped accordingly. When I got in the lane, he wouldnt look me in the eyes, wouldnt take me seriously when I said I wanted my oil changed before a road trip, and he had to somehow clarify 3 times that I wanted my oil changed after I told him each time that I wanted it changed. I was there wasnt I? Am i clearly incapable of knowing where I am? At a take 5 to get my oil changed?? He clearly didnt want to do my oil change, didnt respect me as a customer or a woman who knows her car. Will NEVER go to take 5 again after being a loyal customer for years.

Man you really dont get better service elsewhere. Today I what my car serviced by Damian and Christopher and they where the friendliest and most helpful people. What I liked the most was they were honest with me about everything, clear and straight to the point. They got the job done and saved me some cash that other places would have charged me for a service that I didnt need. Great customer service 👏 👌 👍
More like 45mins ànd no work done they acted like we had C¹9. We sàw 4 men wôrking on one Truck, ànd 2 lines backed up almost to Street.Not very friendly even to women we also burned up waiting, we had to leave. Service didnt seems to be there speciality .

After over 20yrs, and 4 different cars serviced here over the years, no more. Since the sale to Take 5, every time I come here Im asked if I have been there before. I explain that it has been the only place apart from the dealer in a few instances, that I go to for oil changes and inspections. I understand if records didnt transfer over from the previous company. That makes sense. If they know this, just say we dont have old records. The irritating thing is that they Always ask if Im sure Ive been there before. If thats not good enough, they ask if it was the car that Im driving now, as if I just find random cars to take to the shop. Dont get me wrong, the folks there have always been nice, and still are. Its just annoying when you patronize a business (location) for so long and theres little to no records of you having done so.At any rate, they couldnt do inspections today. Just my luck. Serves me right for not going to the dealership, where the cost is about the same for just an oil change and inspection. Wanting to get this done, I went down the street for service.

Hands down, this is the BEST car service garage I’ve been to! Besides replacing my air & cabin filters and changing the oil, they also did a full inspection. Prices are very fair, and more than likely they’ll have a coupon on their site, as well. Professional, yes, but also incredibly friendly. They treated me and my family with kindness and respect; first, as soon as they see you pull up, they make sure to greet you and ask what you need. Not only do they work hard and fast, but if they have more timely services (like the inspection), they’ll make sure you’re comfortable waiting. A thirsty husband and 3 hungry kids? Not my family! They offered water and snacks - for free! Hey, when I’m given exceptional service, I make sure the review is thorough and detailed, so you know exactly what you’ll be getting, too, if/WHEN you go here.Hopefully when you go here, Samantha is working. She’s the one who has given us 100% grade A++ service each time. I don’t know much about cars, and she does not take advantage of that - seriously the BEST! Christopher was also amazing and very friendly, and another new gentleman (he wasn’t wearing a name tag - I believe he was said to be a trainee - but he worked Saturday, November 7th at 4:30pm) was incredibly helpful and courteous.Thank you, Take 5! Terrible Location BeltLine Irving TX! Ive been a customer for years and this was by far the worst. The workers are clearly not trained. The Assistant manager Chris thinks everything is funny when his crew does something incorrectly. The wrong oil was placed in my vehicle amongst other things. I say go to another company or a different location. I am actively working to ensure this doesnt happen to anyone else.

Phenomenal service. They did deliver bad news to me about a bad main seal and an oil leak but not on them. Service was superb and fast. Offered water and service was quick. The wait to get in was a little bit but its understandable due to it being Sunday and only 2 workers. The actual service itself was super fast. I would recommend 10/10 and I will be going back there from now on.

The worst oil change check/service I have gotten. I usually go to the Take 5 on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas and have exceptional service. I have since moved from Dallas into Irving and decided to go and get my oil changed here at the Irving location. It turns out per the technician Samantha my car didnt need an oil change, but they decided to go under my car and undo the skid plate as well as open up my hood to check the fluids anyways.Car Maintenance 101 - What comes in the shop and on a car, should leave on the car! PERIOD!!!The technicians zip tied the bottom of my skid plate up to my car instead of taking the time to grab the bolts that fell to the ground and that I heard drop during her work below my car. I visited the shop 09/26 1:30pm-2pm (Blue Honda Civic) and had a technician named Samantha work on my car. Samantha zip tied my skid plate on instead of putting the bolts on the car that were there. As it is COVID and Im working from home, I dont drive much and didnt hear or notice this until Friday, 10/02, when I drove my car out of my driveway and was hearing something drag against the ground. Come to find out, it was a zip tie!I went back the following weekend on 10/03 approximately 9:30-10am and the manager David was very very skeptical of what I had to say and kept saying he was getting two different stories between my story and Samanthas. First off, please teach your managers that the customer is always right. Especially an angry customer whom comes back to the shop and wastes their precious time trying to get this issue resolved.We (David and I) review the security footage during the time she worked on my vehicle and it is true, she did zip tie my skid plate up, it is evidenced by her going under my vehicle and asking another technician to bring her zip ties. This was very UNPROFESSIONAL and I will not be visiting Take 5 ever again!David the manager ended up making it right and putting the bolts back on my skid plate and on my car at approximately 1:15-2pm on 10/03, but between him and Samantha, they were both very sketchy and I honestly should have received at least 2-3 free oil changes for the amount of time I had to visit the shop to get this issue resolved. I say they were very sketchy bc David was actually wanting me to pay for the bolts and they never gave me any receipts for anything they did to my car both visits. Granted, I did not buy anything, but the hush hushness of her zip tying up my skid plate and him wanting me to pay for the Honda skid plate bolts and not believing me over Samantha made this situation very awkward.Time is money and I had to go to the shop multiple times on 10/03 to get this fixed bc David bought the wrong screws, took me to the Oreilly Auto Parts next door which didnt have them, and I had to take a trip in his car to the Honda shop in Irving to get the right ones. I will say this was very unprofessional and I hope Corporate looks into this.I am writing this review so that others know that if they find zip ties underneath their car, go back to the last place you got an oil change. It is WRONG! Be on the lookout!

The two guys there were nice and one of them told me he liked my truck and also had a nissan truck. He and I are brothers now. This bond between same make/model truck owners is indestructible. The next time you see a row of similar trucks parked next to each other, its not a coincidence, its a family.

Got a Texas State Inspection. The young man doing the inspection was very courteous and kept me informed throughout the process.
You would think that Take 5 Oil Change would have filters, enough right oil and necessary tools in order to get oil changed. In my case none of those were in place. Funny since last time they had everything and we are talking same vehicle so nothing special there. No stars for customer service either unfortunately(maybe he just had a bad day).

Went to 3 Take5 locations today. All 3 refused to do a state inspection as it was within an hour of closing time.
They are not as quick as other locations I have been to but I prefer this one because they are super nice and very considerate of what the customer needs.
This was my first time going here and I can say I will not be going back, it says they open at 7 a.m. however, I got there at 7:23 and no one came to assist. There was a car packed out front the garage lights were on and I was even able to open the front door to say Hello? and still nothing. I waited for 5 minutes before leaving. Not a good experience for what wouldve been a potential customer.

Hands down the most friendly oil change shop in town! David Mendoza the store manager was quick to greet me even though I pulled in with only 30 minutes until closing. He brought a bottle of water for me and for each one of my kids. He was friendly, honest about pricing upfront, and accepted my decline of additional services without a guilt trip bestowed on me. He understood my need to stay on budget financially and time wise with my kids being with me. Chris the technician was just as friendly and personable. Love this place and will definitely be back!! A+++!!
I’ve been to a lot of places to get my oil changed. David, by far has been the most helpful professional of them all. He’s thorough in his knowledge regarding oil prices and recommendations. I left feeling smarter about my vehicle, and I also felt I got trusted quality service. I’m recommending him as I speak to all of the guys here in the basketball gym. Went in for an oil change and inspection. David hooked it right up. He was nice, timely, and very cool to speak to. He recommended that I get new wipers for my car and theyre the best wipers Ive had. I highly recommend coming to this shop when you need a quick oil change.

Theyre fast and friendly.Unfortunately they dont have posted prices for their services until youre in their service bay. Prices range from around $40 up through about $100.They were reluctant to say up front what the cost would be until you want to drive away.

I was second in the line waited 30 mins, don’t know what they were doing & nobody comes & tell me what’s going on. Then I went & asked how long it’s gonna take, he said 30 more minutes. so total 1 hour I don’t think it takes that much time for oil change so left & took my car somewhere else who knows what they are doing.

They messed up my car twice. I noticed they don’t check my tire pressure or add air to the tire even though they claim to. I noticed and asked one of them he said it’s because my tires have hubcap. They also messed up my skid plate and couldn’t fix it back.

I went in for an oil change the young man said it would be 10 min. I waited 30 min before I decided to leave. Not once did they go check on me or give me an update on time. I have been going to Take 5 for years now because I have always had great experiences until now. I don’t recommend thisTake 5 at all!
Currently sitting in the parking lot, since 7:10 a.m. and not one technician on site. The garages and office is open in addition to a car parked in front of the office (most likely the employee), yet no one has attended to service me. It is almost 7:30a now, and this is becoming a serious inconvenience at this point. Ive chosen this location today because they supposedly open at 7am. I have planned various errands (plus getting ready for work) this morning, and this has seriously affected those plans. I dont know if their employee is sleep or having a long bathroom break, but this location should be mindful and professional considering the business it represents.

Chris started changing the oil on my car and in the process he would show and explain what he was doing.Chris finished quickly. Extremely slow. Used to bring all my fleet vehicles here but they are not competitive anymore with other companies out there. Unable to check tires and top off fluids due to air compressor being down.
David took care of me he had very good insight on vehicles in general and looked out for what’s best for the car definitely will continue to come back here as long as he works here!
