I have had no problems with this complex since living here and have mostly enjoyed it. The complex is clean and people are friendly. My apartment was newly remodeled when I moved in, but the appliances are a bit dated. However, the only problem I have had is with the referral bonus they offer. If you are considering being referred by a friend who lives here so they get the 300 dollar referral bonus, don’t waste your time. I had a good friend of mine move in to the same complex and he even wrote my name in on his application as the person referred him but the office refused to acknowledge the referral as they stated “his first contact was with our online application portal” even though they told him that was the only way they did new applicants due to COVID. If you’re considering doing this referral process make sure you have the person referring you go in person to the office with you so they can’t argue this.
Very horrible apartments they have very bad spiders all different kinds even poisonous ones and is over priced for the quality of the apartment they charge for every slight thing and over charge for it to. Their office is kind but lazy. And the apartments it’s self are low ball. The first month I lived there I had many issues with my sink my dish washer and my light bulbs . The doors only had one lock so I added a lock and they charged me for it then since the dumpster far and I live alone I set my trash out side my door for the night and the next morning I was charged. On memorial weekend the day to pay the rent fell on a Saturday so I waited until Monday to pay and still got charged 109 extra as a late fee. I do not recommend these apartments they are not worth the money . And doesn’t even deserve one star.
Honest review. Maintenance does leave a lot to be desired. However, there has been an ad looking for maintenance for quite a while. I believe they are short handed. The grounds are kept clean and well manicured. Living downstairs is rather loud. I can hear people upstairs talking when I am in the living room near the furnace closet. What is most annoying is that the upstairs washer drain pipe runs thru my apartment...not in the wall, literally thru a pipe in the furnace closet. It sounds like a pipe burst. The apartments are old, but have been renovated. I expected more at this price point. It has been painted so many times that the paint is peeling. All in all, it is a safe place is a convenient location.
I love it hear! The company has made it look so nice and clean. The new manager really cares and has helped me with my apartment. I think her name is Torry? The other girls in the office are very polite and maintenance is fast. Thanks
The office staff and maintenance staff are incredible! Any maintenance request that Ive had has been promptly attended to and repaired. The office staff is friendly, competent and the price is great!
Never live here. The rent goes up every year and no improvements are made. The maintenance is terrible. There is always an excuse as to why they cant fix things. The office staff is rude. Of the for apartments Ive lived in within Castleton this has the worst service.
I moved into the Woods Of Castleton a little over a month ago and because of the reviews I was a little hesitant but I am completely happy with my decision . Tori the property manager is always friendly and easy to deal with. The maintenance guys go above and beyond every time. Any problem that I’ve had they’ve come out immediately and fixed the problem. No place is going to be perfect so it’s how they take care of the problems is more important to me. I’m very happy, totally feel safe and highly recommend you come be my neighbor!!
I just called inquiring about apts available, after I asked my questions and said thank you to Tiffany, she hung up! She didnt say bye, no thank you. She rudely hung up on me. I was so confused because my interest is genuine and I was very courteous and respectful, but now that I know how the staff is... Definitely out of my list.
If you like living with RODENTS this will be the perfect place for you. I have been dealing with this issue for over a year with no improvement. The assiatant manager TIFFANY is sooooo unprofessional, rude argumentive and will hang up in your face. Dont waste your time or your money moving here!!! ***UPDATE !!! We did move into a different unit in February 2021 after living with an extremely bad mice infestation. They offered a unit prior the one we selected that was getting treated for bedbugs. I didnt want to take a chance of dealing with bedbugs so we waited for a different townhome. It is now July 2021 and we received a notice from a collection agency stating that we owed Woods of Castleton $877 dollars for reglazing the tub, replacing the carpet they normally only change every 7 years per the office manager. We did not receive any communication from the office regarding these charges they were just sent to the collection agency. By the way the office staff is not honest at all.The dumpsters are overfilled most of the time and therr is always mattresss and furniture around them. This is an honest review, if I could give this place a negative 10 I would!! The location is the best thing these apartments have going for them.
They fail time and time again with repairs. Office staff seemingly rotates constantly. Maintenance items require multiple requests and are usually dealt with poorly. Also appear to lose track of our renters insurance often resulting in nasty letters. I love the location and the prices but I hate anywhere I need to talk to the office constantly to get anything done
Ive been living here a little over a month and have had major issues already and the staff, especially the assistant manager, are unmotivated to help. My air conditioning has gone out twice in less than 2 weeks and I have called multiple times and went to the office and do not have a solution. Not even a phone call to let me know what is going on. Its a good location and the interior is nice, but getting things fixed correctly is a task. My pet and I are both miserable in a place I pay a decent amount of money to live in. The only reason Im giving more than one star is because of the location.** edit: the air has now gone out a total of 6 times
Theyll close your work orders without doing anything.
I live there now and I love it. Tiffany is awesome. My townhouse is great. Best place I have ever lived. New to Indy great choice.
Was very impressed with this community! The staff was so helpful and they have made the apartments look so cute! Will definitely be moving here when my current lease is up
I have lived in this community on 3 occasions in my life. My experience has always been positive with the exception of the car ports and their towing policy. In April of 2013 I moved into apartment and requested a car port. The first night my car was towed. I brought this to the attention of the property manager (Luke) and he reimbursed me for my expenses. I retained that car port without incident for almost 2 years. As I was going to bed on Tuesday 2/24, I saw a tow truck hooking up my car. After a great deal of drama with the tow truck driver and the resident who called them, I assumed it was just a misunderstanding at that I would resolve it with the office management in the morning. The next morning I spoke with the new office manager (Stephanie). I an accusatory tone, she said they had no documentation that I ever requested a car port. I asked her then to explain how I acquired the proper tag to allow me to park in my car port for the previous years? What astounded me was her complete lack of accountability or desire to set the situation right. Her stance was this is not her problem. To add insult, she informed me that a new resident was given 3 car ports (out of 4) and that I was in violation. The previous manager (Luke) was accountable for the property and cared for its residents. I certainly dont feel that way as of this writing. I believe the responsibility of a property manager is to take care of the residents. If there is an internal problem with their bookkeeping or documentation then be accountable and fix it. Blaming people and supporting your point of view doesn’t resolve the issues. I want a property manager that is willing to go to any length to take care of the residents.I really have enjoyed living here but it only takes one bad experience to tarnish a reputation.I dont plan on renewing my lease.Clyde R. Tiffany was very helpful, patient, and friendly. She answered all of my questions. I didn’t hesitate to fill out an application. Thanks Tiffany
Least helpful apartment complex I’ve dealt with, and we haven’t even moved in yet. They tell you 0 information upfront and then are 100% unwilling to be flexible when you finally find out the information too late for you to do anything about it. I am working out of the state and they won’t let you do anything over email or online, unlike any other apartment complex I’ve ever worked with. If it wasn’t for the fact that they have our money already, I would not hesitate to go elsewhere. I can only dread what will happen when we do finally move in.
Not my best experience. The leasing office is only nice to you until have to have a repair you need done. The apartments are newly “renovated”. The interior looks decent but they have major water issues.
Water is leaking through out my whole apartment and this has been going on for months. It started leaking down from the ceiling in the bathroom. Which took about 3 weeks to fix. And now a couple of months later I have water coming up through my wood floors... At this point Im concerned about mold and want a new apartment (they will probably deny) so Im considering reaching out to the BBB. Because this is unacceptable.
They wont ever fix my toilet
I walked in looking for an apartment to sign for that day. Within a couole of hours i was holding the keys in hand to my new home. I would refer this place to anyone. Great location right off I465 and amazing services/amenities. Just ask for the Stephanie.
The office is friendly as well as maintenance. We have renewed our lease for another year.
I initially moved into an apartment with noisy neighbors. After a few months, I spoke with Luke, the manager, and he was extremely nice, and moved me into a larger apartment on the second floor within weeks. He even threw in a washer and dryer. I was able to keep my lease end date (did not have to do another 12 month lease) My rent went up marginally (~30/month), but totally worth it. The washer and dryer are brand new and work perfectly. The maintenance staff is extremely friendly. Despite being a 120lb female, I always felt safe, and went on runs alone with no problem. I had to move for school, but definitely would have renewed the lease if I wanted to keep living in Indy. The Castleton area is great and close to many restaurants. No more than 30 minute drive to downtown, 15 broadripple, 15 noblesville. I 100% recommend this place!
I called to get some information on an apartment and they were extremely rude. Would never move here.
Decent place to live, good neighbors, staff has been helpful but the on-site laundry units are awful. Have to dry my clothes twice every time I do laundry and pay an additional three dollars. Needs updated.
Took a year to get my storage key to match my door keys, they renovated my complex and left nails and scraps all over the place for months. One nail popped my tire and that never got fixed. Oven door has been falling apart, its been repaired multiple times but never stay fixed. Power issue in kitchen. When I first moved in I was told I get my carpet washed every year, when went to ask the employee said that if I havent lived there a year that wouldnt happen, I told her I did live there for more than a year but she didnt care and was rude about it. I hate that I have to deal with the staffs attitude. If you dont like talking to people why do you work there?
This new company is racist, disrespectful, and uncaring. I’ve lived in woods of Castleton for 5 years before I moved this summer. When I first arrived they were very kind, compassionate and caring property managers. But this past year things changed. Been seeing a lot of the minorities being forced out. I literally sat and watch how kindly and softly they spoke to white residents and how stern and harshly they spoke with nonwhites. I’ve engaged in conversations with the office staff and they literally treated me like a number. whenever I spoke with them I received a little or no help. Are used to feel like I was part of a community when I first arrived and now I realize that’s not true with the new company.
I don’t know if their employees don’t care about anything, or if they don’t have enough employees, but if anything goes wrong don’t expect any help or service for days. My shower head has broken due to their awful, messed up water pressure and I was told that maintenance would be there that day to fix it. It’s now been two days, and I’m still having to take a bath in their old nasty showers. This place is way too overpriced for the living situation and “service” you get. I have never been so disappointed or frustrated with a company like this since Comcast.
Generallly i dont like apts but i moved here about 6 month ago to a 3br townhome and so far has been great experience. Its not perfect but few things in life are. Maintenance men are awesome. Only wish that the pool hours were a little longer. Small but brand new playground, dog park and clean grounds, Office has been good at responding to my needs. This has been a good, affordable move.
I will never rent here again.
