Avoid this place! Ive been harrassed by kelly the manager that i call karen for having a doorbell cam but she used the same pic in the email to tennants WHEN MY NEIGHBOR STOLE OVER A GRAND WORTH OF PACKAGES! Cant even have tools in my apartment without her complaining! The thieves still live her even after the package theft. I have a ring doorbell cam, 2 wyze cams outside and ring alarm and still dont feel safe! I bet she replies to this lying. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy!
Best apt complex I’d ever lived in, we lived there over a year. We only moved because we got a house.
Live here since 2017.IVE HAD AN AMAZING TIME. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN AN BNB ISSUE AT ALL.FOR ME ITS HOME TILL I BUY MY OWN HOUSE.
This is one of the best apartment complexes Ive lived in by far! They exceeded my expectations from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. The approval process didnt take long. The maintenance crew responded quickly and efficiently every single time, and were always polite while in my apartment space. I would even regularly see them sweeping the parking lots early in the morning! The ladies in the front office are a total delight. They put on little community get togethers for the complex in the clubhouse, which is a great way to meet your neighbors and feel safe.I took my time and looked at a lot of apartments in the area before finding Thompson Village. They are by far the most affordable AND are the best quality of the ones I looked at. The one bedroom took the cake in the most spacious of the area. (The layout is super comfy too!).The only complaint I can see anyone having would be they could hear their neighbors if theyre extremely noisy. However thats most apartments. I did not experience this issue at all. I had very kind and respectful neighbors, which made me feel very safe being a single female college student. This is definitely a place I have and will continue to recommend to my friends and family.
Let me start off by saying I really liked these apartments. I lived here for 2 years and I enjoyed the people, the grounds were nicely kept and the maintenance was attentive (to me, at least). The area wasnt too bad and the schools are good. Its close to downtown and highways and plenty of resources in case you need them. The only REAL issue I had was with the mice in my apartment. I stayed here 2 years and I had at least 6 in total. I know for sure because I caught every single one. When I would call the office and explain to them (because I am PETRIFIED of mice), what was going on they would be sympathetic but it was also a yeah, okay what do you want us to do about it... kind of feeling. I would always get the same excuse you know its getting cold outside, theyre just looking for food and warmth. Which is not a good excuse and not comforting at all.In their defense, they would call the exterminator but he came like twice a month on every other Tuesday. Hed come in, set traps and call over his shoulder on the way out the door, Check them daily, well be back, let the office know if you get anything. -.- (he never came back to check his traps. I had to put my own down because his didnt work).Whenever I would catch one Id call maintenance to come dispose of it (and they would come) they just took their sweet time. This final time before I moved out (which was in June 2020) I saw another one running around the living room. Again, I called maintenance, the emergency line but got told they couldnt come into the house unless it was an emergency or they were checking vents and smoke detectors, because of Covid. By this time I was fed tf up because that old line theyre just looking for warmth was NOT going to fly with me. So I just moved out.Other than that, it was fine. My kids could play outside safely, people were nice and maintenance came (and fixed) every time I had an issue. Other than the mice.
I love these apartments! The grounds are always kept up and pretty. The pool is fantastic and very clean. The staff go above and beyond to help out with any issue. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone searching for a new home.
Been here 10 years. Its always been a great place to live. Staff is prompt and courteous. Pool is always clean in the summer and well monitored. Dont see me moving out any time soon.
I have lived at Thompson Village for several years. Sadly, I have to relocate or I would stay here long as I could. The office girls are just as sweet as can be. The maintenance men do a lovely job tidying up the place. Most of my neighbors are friendly and never given me any trouble.
I lived here for 2 years. Grounds were always clean & manicured. The staff was amazing, always on top of things if we had any issues. The only problem we encountered was a drunk neighbor across the hall, who had to move out when his lease was up 😂
I was looking for a place to move when I can across Thompson village it was nice. The grounds were well kept and the staff and residents were very friendly. 10 out 10 would recommend!
Hello,I have been a resident for 2 1/2 years. During our time there: we pay on time, stay to ourselves, and have been great residents.I am currently 7 months pregnant and my husband is a military man. My husband was gone with the military for 2 months, and during this time our neighbors were spitting on doors, mats, groceries delivered to our door steps, and the grass where our dogs walk. During this Pandemic, being high risk, I am someone that got their groceries delivered. Their son would sit at OUR door (across the hall) in the hall as a hangout spot, coughing. These people have been here years and take turns picking and complaining on everyone.A nice lady from Glick had called around to everyone during this time to ask how we were all doing. I told her in my time I never complain and I definitely don’t want to start anything, but I explained the above and just asked if it could be expressed as a concern to the general public and to not single anyone out. She was kind and said they definitely would address it in general. They sent out a letter the next day. That night the mom came in the hall right in front of my door and stated to neighbors walking in (loud so I could hear it) that the apartment called her and said “the pregnant woman was being a snitch” and called in about her son (the guy doing all the spitting). She was definitely trying to intimidate me.At about 10pm I heard spitting and looked through the peephole on the door. The son was spitting repeatedly on my door and mat. He slashed two of my tires. At midnight I packed up all of my dogs things and we snuck out in a panic. We stayed at my brothers house until my husband’s return. When he got back we went back so we could pack up.I filed police reports and I kept Thompson Village aware of everything. Two of the managers were nice and one told me I had the option of getting out of my lease no cost. The property manager Kelly wanted nothing to do with it. When I called to give her a police report number she was dismissive and only said “well.... let me know if anything else happens..”My husband returned and Kelly finally answered to him instead. She said she would be charging us two months rent and a cancelation fee. We tried calling Glick and left several calls and voicemails, no response. I had called and got one of the nicer managers on the phone a different day and she said she would ask Kelly for a months rent off since I didn’t even live there. (Still not either) Kelly said a supervisor agreed to one month off. (Not to mention we have not been able to speak to the supervisor about our story. They have only heard from Kelly who chose to have little involvement.) Kelly said she’d send a new lease termination agreement. She never did and now they are trying to charge us for the full month again online. I called Thompson Village and Glick leaving several messages and no responses (Though she, Kelly, has been able to email everyone about Zoom Bingos and Pool Parties). Then ignoring us, if we don’t pay we get charged a late fee on top of that.As far as maintenance: We were unable to use our dishwasher the whole 2 1/2 years we were here. Someone looked at it once and said they’d come back and did not. And again, it’s been difficult getting people to answer calls at the front office. We also had plumbing issues which were briefly looked at and now the wood underneath has gotten rougher.I’ve never had to write a bad review before, but I am extremely disappointed that Thompson Village treats military families this way. We were made to feel unsafe in our own apartment. They offered to move us to another area of the apartment (but the other side is extremely unsafe and had news reports), or to break out of our lease no consequences. We agreed to the later and they backed out of their word. Now we’re just trying to leave, but we don’t want to be overpaid and they are ignoring as much as possible.I would not recommend this place. It has proven during these times the top leaders of the management team do not care about your safety.
Nice apartments, always kept clean. Office and maintenance workers are very helpful and nice. Maintenance work gets done same day. Good location.
Lived there for a few years, but needed a bigger place as my family of four started to outgrow it and we needed to be closer to my work. The staff was always nice and helpful. Maintenance was always performed in a timely manner. The staff did a good job trying to keep the grounds and community safe. They held multiple events throughout the year informing the residents of anything going on and held parties for resident appreciation. The staff does a good job of making people feel welcomed.
Super Friendly Staff! They really made the application process super easy 👍 Love the location, Reasonable Rent and the unit are a Great Size.
Last week I stopped by to turn in my application and my $35.00 application fee. I sat down with Holly and she looked through my application and told me to look forward to getting a call at the end of the day. I get a call a week later and she tells me over the phone that I dont meet the minimum income requirement. Enjoy your hard-earned $35.00, Miss Irish.
Lived here for a few months and have to move family change and need a 3 bedroom which i wish they had. Office staff and other staff has always been nice and have took care of thing pretty fast. Parking can be a pain at times but that is apartment life. no issues and nothing but good things to say if anyone ask.
I’ve been here since August and I live it!! I only wish they had 3 bedrooms units. I have no complaints.
Nice staff. Clean complex. Definitely recommend.
Live here for a few months and I like it here. The staff does an awsawes job at answering all the questions I have and I have. They are nice and respectful.
You will get your car broken into or stolen.. had mine and my boyfriend cars broken into several times. The neighbor across the street had his car stolen TWICE! The office staff did nothing about it! They had a recent shooting left a man in critical condition! Instead The office staff worry about everything else like who you have at your place and for how long instead of your safety! Moving here is a waste of time.. dont do it dont risk your safety or your car being broken into or stolen! Theres a cop that sit there sometimes but never catch the criminals thats committing the crimes!!! The office staff is HORRIBLE! KEITH The. Maintenance guy is very rude and aggressive. Hes really scary! Wasnt sure if he was going to start a fight with my boyfriend are not. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! But this is the type of business the run.. DONT MOVE HERE!
I lived in this apartment complex for two and a half years before moving away for a year long internship. I didnt think twice about moving back into this complex when I moved back to Indianapolis. The staff is very kind and helpful. The apartment is kept up nicely and they do a good job maintaining the grounds. The people who watch the pool are always very friendly and the mornings are generally a peaceful time to go. The kitchen and size of the apartment is reasonable for the price and I love having a washer/dryer in the building even if it isnt in my own apartment. While every apartment has the common apartment challenges (e.g., loud neighbors), I have been very happy at Thompson Village and they have gone above and beyond to make sure my time staying here has been great.
Great place, if you like management dictating what you can and can’t do and being strict for no reason. Rather pay more to have more freedom then live in this little slice of nazi Germany.
Apartments are Good. If you pay your bills on time and have everything in order than youll enjoy your stay. Been here almost a year and a half and the front office is very nice. Car hasnt been broken into, Neighbors are nice, never feel unsafe.
The staff of ladies in the office are great very respectful courteous and good listeners they will do what it takes to resolve any issues you may have. The maintenance staff is courteous and will resolve any maintenance problems you may haveASAP.Ihave had a wonderful time living here and would definitely recommend Thompspn Village as a place to live
Apartments sucks really bad!! Wi-Fi is through the roof freaking terrible.... The front office has some pretty snobby people when it comes to questions. The overall satification rate is pretty weak. Fix the wi-Fi !!!!
