I’m telling don’t move here! My mother & I moved here in Jan 2021 with a 9 month lease. The price was okay, now it’s time to renew my lease and it’s being raised three hundred plus dollars. This is ridiculous. I was not told that when it’s time to renew my lease that it would be raised sky high. I understand apartments raised the rent sometimes but over $75 is crazy. On top of that I had a leak from the ceiling in the main bathroom since March 2021, finally it was fixed the right way in July 2021. Still haven’t got the drywall fixed on the ceiling where the furnace is, it had a leak June 19, 2021 the maintenance man was able to fix that the next day.

The apartment is decent for the price and very spacious. There are some things that were obvious that maintenance was trying to hurry up and get it “ready” for someone to move in (I.e. poor patching of holes or damaged sheet rock, poor caulking around the tub already degrading, loosening, and coming off). Some of my neighbors are considerate and others are extremely noisy and nasty leaving trash outside the building and in the parking lot. A few (at least three) young guys that live above me are noisy all hours of the night (i.e playing loud music, throwing parties or something, dropping some hard objects on the floor, yelling and fighting) not to mention the constant smell of marijuana throughout the common areas and sometimes very strong in my apartment. Can’t even consider my apartment relaxing or a safe space because I rarely sleep thanks to the noise. Strongly considering breaking my lease. I’ve only been here since late February 2021 and I’m exhausted.

Move in day the apartment was super dirty we had to spend whole first day cleaning the apartment. Several places among the apartment was obviously damaged during the renovation and wasnt fixed. My catalytic converter was stolen here I called to inform the staff and they said no one else has reported this but I tried to post to community wall just to tell the other residents to watch out and my post wasnt approved. Seems like they are hiding something. Apparently its completely acceptable for your neighbors to have full on band practice in there apartment. Literally my whole apartment will vibrate during the day while my neighbors play their guitar and slam on the drums. Definitely has been a bad experience and Im not barely 3 months in.

I have lived in this apartment complex almost 2 years. Amari and Jennifer, they were just awesome. Never had any problem with my apartment. If I have any problem with maintenance they fixed it right after I submit the issue through website. It is also located in very beautiful area. Golf course/ Church/ Government building. Unfortunately I had to moved out from Indiana. If I ever come back, Choosing this apartment complex again! Thank you

It’s quiet and the screened in patios are a perk. I moved from another complex and explained why, was told this could be my home for a long time and then before my first year was up was informed my lease wouldn’t be renewed because they wanted to update my unit. As I was looking for another place and was on their waiting list I was told they changed their mind and could stay for 10 more months but this time I’d have to pay to be on the waiting list and pay a new deposit (my first would be returned). My apartment was partially upgraded so paying almost $250 more for a new color laminate floor and cabinets without my carport isn’t worth it to me. I just had to call them because a maintenance man randomly showed up a month before my lease is up to lower a drain with no notice.

I have lived here for a year now and I love my apartment! It has vaulted ceilings in the living room, a washer and dryer, and a screened balcony. This is a pretty complex, buildings look freshly painted and the grounds are kept in great shape. The appliances are old, but if something breaks or doesn’t function properly maintenance takes care of it quickly. The buildings are locked, I walk around the complex and feel very safe here. My only complaint is that the walls are paper thin but that’s to be expected at most apartments. The price is great considering the location, the complex being well maintained, and amenities. I’ve lived in many apartments and this is the first complex I felt compelled to write a good review- I highly recommend!

Staff are very friendly and nice. Residents are also very nice people and everyone says hello to other people. But there are some downsides. On our first night in the apartment, the shelf in our closet broke off from the walls. We barely had anything on it. It happens no big deal but it took over two weeks for maintenance to come fix it. I know they are busy but two weeks for a shelf....yikes. We also have a leaky AC and every morning we have to empty a bowl of water and change out the towel that is soaked on the floor. Called it in a few days ago and we are still having to deal with it to this day. Also, it is a big community, so there is a lot of residents. But the thing is, you have to sign up for a time to use the pool, which has to be approved by the staff. Many residents sign up and then do not use the pool, leaving it unavailable to the residents who actually want to use it. It is normally booked out 3-7 days in advance so you cannot tell if it is going to be nice out on a particular day. Just very frustrating! I had such high hopes for this place. Such friendly staff on the tour and contract signing phase, great residents, but it looks like I should have kept searching. Hopefully things turn around though!

People that have been here for a long time, paid rent on time, are being booted since rents are being boosted due to the remodels of the oldest units. One family has been here for over 25 years. Where does a landlords responsibility to keep the property up to date end and the tenants have to kick in to pay for it. After the hassle all the current tenants went through last year with all the exterior construction and plumbing water leaks! Yikes! I am one of the tenants being booted. I dont make enough income to go to either of the models available. There are plenty of empties for sure. Not impressed with Sheehan Mgmt at this point. Glad to be leaving except for some of the friends Ive made.

Ive been at The Masters for two-plus months now, and so far have been treated very well by management and office staff. I had a problem/complaint about my particular apartment right after moving in, and management acted quickly and decisively to remedy the issue. That impressed me and gave me confidence that the people in charge really do care about their tenants. These are nice apartments in a fantastic location, and my experience here at The Masters so far has been very good. Recommended!

Service is appropriately timely. The area is beautiful, the price is right depending on the length of lease you sign up for. Constantly renovating. My only criticism is that certain buildings lack parking and others have an abundance, so you may have to park far to get to your apartment, which walking wont hurt you.

There are a LOT of places to live in Indianapolis and the surrounding area, but at this price-point, I couldnt be happier having chosen The Masters Apartments. The grounds are kept clean, the square footage is plenty, and the location is everything! So close to so many things, and yet tucked away on a less busy road, just off 96th Street.Ive submitted two non-emergency maintenance requests online, and both were resolved within 24 hours. I really appreciate that level of service. The leasing agent (Mark) was courteous and professional - willing to answer any and all questions, even when it was closing time on the day I visited. And paying my rent online is so convenient.I have a washer/dryer in my unit, a screened-in patio, and quiet neighbors. I feel safe, and welcome here. Definitely worth a look if youre in the market!

A roach wouldnt even waste their time moving here. If your rent is stolen from their leasing office they will make you pay your rent again in FULL or try(because they will have to take me to court before they make me pay for their irresponsibility) They wont take full responsibility for an insecure dropbox. I could list a lot more but cant waste anymore of my time at this place. Its so sad. Ive never had a problem with paying rent and never paid a bill late in my life.

Office staff is nice but slow on follow-up when required after requests have been made. Maintenance has been accused of stealing by several tenants on several occasions, my advice is to make sure someone can be on site when of the maintenance men gain entry into your unit. Keep cash and prescription pain medicines in a locked safe, it wouldnt hurt to install a camera or two to protect yourself. Otherwise the neighbors seem nice and mostly quiet, grounds are kept clean and mowed, garbage emptied several times a week.

Review №25

Appalled by their lack of claiming responsibility when their drop box was broken into and tenant rent stolen. One tenant I know personally is being asked to either pay rent 2 times (almost $1000 for a young student already trying hard to make ends meet) or go through the difficult and lengthy process of getting a refund for her stolen money order. I would save myself the troubleand find another place to live that has more integrity and is more appreciative of its tenants.

Continuous noise caused by water drips from my top neighbor bathroom with no experience from technicians about this issue. Rent raise every year plus zero conveniences. The routes need complete new pavement which impact your travels to and from the apartment. The pool needs improvement and enlargement as well as is not safe for kids. Very high carport price, higher than every apartment complex I have encountered. They leave hills of mulch for weeks on the main parking routes which make inconvenient parking.

I have lived at the Masters for a year now, and I have to say their service is just horrible. They charge you out the ass for payments that they have lost, they don’t let you do payments on your fees unless it’s the full amount, and they lie to you one day, change the story the next. I have never been more outraged with an apartment complex. Do not rent here. RUN!!

This place is a dump. There is mold in the walls, crappy maintenance service, and the staff are the worst. Security is non existent. My van was broken into. I have heard of doors being kicked in during the day and apts being robbed. there was a guy shot and killed right outside our front door in his car. This is the worst place to live and if you are smart, you will stay as far away from it as you can. I only gave one star because it wouldnt let me post without it but it deserves a negative 20+ stars. Dont make the mistake of moving there. My son was hurt just playing on the back patio in his baby pool when a piece of plaster fell from the upper balcony after I waited over 4 months to have it repaired. they never fixed my dishwasher and had to throw a brand new set of pots and pans away that had been used ONCE. There was a screw that came off in the dishwasher and tore up all my new expensive pans. When I called the office, I was told by Jennifer (a leasing agent who thinks shes a mgr) that I wast supposed to put pots and pans in the dishwasher. There is so much more I could say about this place and none of it would be nice

Lets see...on my first day walking into the building I noticed the smell of marijuana permeating the halls, That was my first clue to run. But hey...as long as I dont smell it in my actual apartment, I can live with it I suppose. So I reluctantly signed the lease. Big mistake! The common entries are dingy and dirty. Doors need paint. Carpet is dirty. If you have the misfortune of living in an downstairs apartment, near the stairs your walls will shake as neighbors run up and down the stairs at all hours. My pictures on the walls actually moved. My unused dishwasher fills with water almost weekly. It took me a week to figure out where the rotten egg smell was coming from. On my first week, I had a bathtub leak. Instead of fixing that, they patched the the tile in the actual shower. The leak was from the tub onto the floor as I explained at least four times. The screened in porch is nice except for the dog feces and urine dripping from the the upstairs apartment onto my new patio furniture. Upstairs neighbor is very loud and I feel like I live under a bowling alley. In addition everytime she opens and closes her patio door which is twenty times per day, its very loud. To break the lease you have to give them 60 days notice plus a sum equal to two months of rent. If I go to a new apartment here its a $200 transfer fee plus my rent will increase to whatever they decide the market rent is that day. I have only been here 3 months. Run, do not walk from this place. For Gods sake, save yourself! There is a reason these are some of the cheapest apartments in the area. The only good thing is its close to Castleton and 465. Great Krogers in Fishers.

Run away this place is the worst apartment we have ever lived in, weve been her a little over 2 years if not for being able to afford to move we would have never signed a new lease, since day 1 weve had nothing but problems, starting with the ceiling in one of the bathrooms leaking and we live on the first floor, there solution cut a hole let it dry out over night then patch it but never actually finding why it was leaking to begin with, the pipes rattle constantly but management refuses to even look into it stating it would cost to much to fix, the fridge had be replaced because of some god awful smell coming from it even after we cleaned it oh ya because it was filthy when we moved in actual the whole apartment needed cleaning even though they said it was cleaned before we moved in, so they replaced the fridge that was even dirtier then the first hey but at least it didnt smell, that was just the first month of us living here, since then weve had a lot of other issues more leaks, mold which they just paint over, and they never clean up the mess they make leaving you to clean it up and still on going just from last few days is both kitchen lights have stopped working and they have yet to come out to fix it and that was 3 days ago, but yesterday they had all day to get the apartment down the hall ready for someone new to the move into, but can not take the time to fix issues for someone already living and paying rent here, and thank god we will be moving in a few months, so what ever you do if your smart run and dont look back
