I haven’t lived here very long but I appreciate the quietness of the area I also have had a very good experience with the neighbors they are very friendly and respectful. I don’t feel like I had a hard time getting an apartment here as well the leasing agent was very helpful and was always available to answer all my questions. She also got back to me very fast regarding my Application I do recommend this apt complex Bc of it’s very affordable prices and great staff

I had a amazing experience here at La Perla, haven’t had any problems with no one. No issues nothing. Office people is really nice especially Araceli who had helped us a lot :)

Literally an application fee scam. I Applied today at about 12pm and got a call back at 2 saying I was denied for credit purposes. My credit is 704 and I have a great credit background. I don’t owe anything and I exceed the income requirements! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Can do A LOT better with communicating & customer service skills, they rush things just to get you off the phone, seems as if theyre just really busy or just being lazy at their job. BUT its bs what people say about how they discriminate against race, Im Hispanic and was denied based of eligibility. Their only flaw is their communication and customer services skills. But other than that apartments seem cheap and affordable, just need a really good credit score to be able to apply and get accepted! Id give them a chance though. Hope this helps!!

Lived there 3.5 years: Good place to live for the money, not sure theres too many better deals in Indy. Lots of security cams to make you feel safe; Ive never had a problem with break-ins, car thieves etc. Complex is close to a lot of restaurants and easy 465 access. Lots of cultural diversity, which I enjoyed.

I applied to La Perla apartments and I am being unfairly discriminated against in regards to living in your apartment complex. I met all the requirements for approval but I was still denied. The people in the La Perla apartment leasing office was being very rude about the communicating with me and I found no other option to reach out besides this. Under the Fair Housing Act it is illegal to deny a application because of race and because I am not Hispanic and I am black I feel this is one of the cases of discrimination. DO NOT APPLY THEIR IF YOU ARE NOT HISPANIC. They will deny you because of race.

It’s a application fee scam dont waste your time. You won’t get approved .apartments are “cheap” so people apply and get turned away .

The lady out there she is the worst person ever.lazy, no approach she ate on her table she don’t even care for any customer.😭

Just called to get information on possible moving in because I wanted to move in the next 2 months and she told me I had to call a month prior, not sure why I cant get any information over the phone until a month prior to my moving date but she just hung up, so first sign of bad management !

I haven’t lived here very long but I had a good experience moving in. The lady upfront understood my situation and tried to make this process a breeze. I love how I have a store to my convenience as well as a gas station because it makes it easier for me to get my groceries and get gas before work. This place is also very affordable & spacious. The lady also offered me a showing which was very nice of her, I loved it. I thought it was perfect for just me.

Really enjoy this place, I think it’s very good for anyone who applies. It’s affordable and there’s also a play ground right next to the front office if you have children. The process is very simple and they don’t require much to apply and usually they let you know within 48 hours if not sooner.

I recently submitted an application with these apartments on the 18th of July. I didnt know that I had already applied and was denied a few months ago. They said they respond to applications within 24 hours. Complete LIE!! Ive been calling repeatedly for the last week. No answer. After reading the reviews, Id concluded it was God as to why I got no return calls. So, I wouldnt have to deal with idiotic people. I will be getting in contact with BBB and Andre Carson about this complex for reasons I care not to share. Thanks La Perla for stealing another 27$ application fee.

From the first day I applied to rent and after almost 1 year living here, my experience with La Perla Apartments has only been of excellent attention and much respect from the administration, in addition to efficiency and speed when requesting maintenance. Truly recommended, without a doubt a safe and reliable place to live.

The only reason I am giving 1 star is because of the great experience I had with the leasing lady. She was so sweet to me and did everything she could to help me get a lease. Unfortunately I was denied and was not given a real explanation as to why. I have no evictions or judgements, I have no criminal background and my rental history is good. I honestly feel like her boss discriminated me. I am an African American woman and I feel once he saw my I.d he must’ve just said no because the leasing lady couldn’t even think of why I would get denied. We were even talking about the unit I wanted and the day I would move in just for her boss to deny me. Everyone is telling me I should reach out to her boss, I probably should.

Fairly decent place to live.Rent is affordable and cheap. Ive never have to worry about my safety here. Maintenance tends to be pretty responsive. Management places multiple fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors in each apartment (most places Ive lived only had fire extinguishers in the hallway and didnt offer carbon monoxide detectors). That may sound like a small thing, but I appreciate the fact that they do that for tenant safety.Only real drawback is pests can be a problem. Cockroaches and ants mostly. However if you use perimeter spray, glue traps and poisoned bait traps that tends to get rid of them.

Since I have been here I actually love living here. Its very multi culture which I love. The staff are very nice. Very comfortable and affordable place to live and raise your kids. The staff are doing a great job at keeping the grounds and apt nice and clean.

Just recently left the leasing office and I must say its odd to see people bad mouthing Araceli with the shes rude comments. She was absolutely awesome. Very attentive and gave me all the info I needed in a very timely manner. With the positive attitude she had I cant wait to sign up

This is a quiet environment to live in. I rented an apartment for $499 here, which was a whole lot more cheaper than most of the places I tried for. All the neighbors are very respectful, they keep quiet at all times.

Update 03/10/2021:I have to say I had no issue with this complex till recently and I felt I have to keep people informed.Ive been living in these apartments for 3.5 years. Since I am student, I was looking for an affordable and spacious one bedroom apartment (I think around 700 ft^2) close to my campus around downtown (10-15 min drive) and most importantly close to grocery stores which are within 2 miles away from here. My apartment was attacked by roaches, however the maintenance guys came and fixed it. I also saw mice in the apartment.IMPORTANT:There is a porch pirate living in this neighborhood who keeps roaming around the apartments and steal your package in front of your door. The leasing office did not help me to watch the cameras. However, they are nice ladies. The leasing office informed me that the porch pirate is not living there anymore!

I love these Apartments. It’s peaceful and quiet. The leasing agent is so friendly and helpful. Gives all the information I need. I truly recommend these apartments.

This is a great place to live! Property is always clean and looks nice! Everyone here is very nice and make you feel like at home. Maintenance is the best and they are super very fast at responding to requests.

Worst apartments ever. Would definitely not recommend living here. Not just the staff are terrible everything is. The office lady makes you sign a paper to not write bad reviews or they can kick you out. She is also a liar & scammer. The maintenance people WATCH you, they watch everything you do so they can find a reason to kick you out. They say no animals but only to the people of their liking can have pets. Maintenance does not fix anything, they just go act like they fix it and leave. They only fix the simple things for example the closets. Landlord is very rude and won’t even show his face. They would watch everyone I would bring in and out of my apartment. Maintenance people also lie they lied about several things just to try to kick me out. If they don’t like you they will do anything to try to get you to leave. They do not respect privacy. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to live here. Worst experience I had at any apartments. Half of the reviews on here are the office lady making fake profiles.

Its a great place to live in with your family, my sister referred me and I moved in almost immediately. The townhomes are huge and cheap. They didnt have hook ups for my washer and dryer but they have a laundry facility here. I can recommend.

I am surprised by the negative comments below, because I did not have any problems and I am grateful that when I arrived from Africa they helped me, because I went to other places to apply and they did not approve my app because I was starting new work in this state. And here they treated me very well and gave me the opportunity to rent and they are very loving.

This place is a complete fraud and here is why. First if you scroll down the comments you will see that the high ratings are all Latinos name which speaks about the lack of diversity and the favoritism you will deal with if you’re not Hispanic.Second one of the comments was made by an “ Araceli Jimenez” she is the leasing agent and is violating google policy by rating herself the apartment she not only works for but also DOES NOT live in. If you don’t believe me the day you sign your contract you will see it on the paper. Lastly this place is great for the price however the water smells bad, the maintenance sucks and the agents are highly unprofessional.

Very unprofessional. She tells you the rental requirements and doesnt tell you they dont accept evictions. You apply and shell say your app was denied because of an eviction WHICH WAS PAID OFF as I told her. Wasted my time. They just want your Lil money. Dont rent here with an eviction.

Ive been living here for almost a year, its a very quiet, clean and peaceful environment, the staff are very nice and they attend to any of our issues on time.

I have only been here for a few days now but the neighborhood is beautiful. The residents are friendly. The staff is excellent. I am very pleased and my kids love it too. :)

I have been calling this office for a week to inquire about future residency. I call several times during the day, so it is quite frustrating. That alone lets me know I probably wouldn’t want to live here if it is that difficult to get ahold of anyone. Thanks!

It used to be a wonderful place to live l still love the sizes of the rooms and it doesnt cost a lot to stay here either.

I have a Townhouse with two bedrooms for $ 579, it is an excellent price, and the staff here is very friendly. I am very comfortable here.

Worse complex I have ever rented since day one pipe issues and electrical issues all that they never fixed anything broken they have never come to fix. The lady in the office is fraudulent with the introduction of the home. They close before their closing time every day and expect you to pay full rent at the end of each month and still deal with all the broke and problems that come with this apartment NEVER MOVE HERE.

They BARELY answer the phone. They close the office whenever they feel like it, never give tenants any notice that they will be closing early or they wont be open!! The maintenance men are very nice so thats the only reason they for 2 stars!!

This the worse apartment ever. I choose to review this place today because we have been living here my husband and I for 2 years and we constantly have been discriminated because we are not Latinos. We pay a $200 transfer fee to move from an one bedroom to a townhome plus $629 for the first month. We were told first that there was none open but the same week a Latinos family moved in across the street from us. The tenant is a very unprofessional lady that doesn’t even understand English well to the point where it seems like she can’t type the contract for the new lease herself. It’s been two weeks since we have paid but she is acting like we’re are literally begging for a place to stay...people think discrimination is only black on white but in this complex Latino rule, they get the nicest floor in their apartment but when you ask for your carpet to be changed they will say that it is not allowed. After 12 hours of work you can’t sleep because they are playing music and nothing can be done.It’s a great place for the price but not worth your dignity.

Ive been living here for 5 years just paid 650 last week for a tranfer and a security deposit then 759 this week for first months rent then they charged me for 150 for trash when the mattress been out there for a few days, I have 5 more months then Im gone, they are scam artist and I work to damn hard to keep throwing my money away. How do you treat a tenant that is loyal never missed rent or caused problems. They think they are the only ones who want my money? If it wasnt for the kids school keeping me here I would have been gone...Dont waist you time oe loose your insanity living here

Dont you love the first amendment, oh well I do... Apparently La perla apartment wants to take away that right from you because they dont want others to know about their crappy service. The office lady will tell you literally that you CANNOT WRITE BAD REVIEWS ON GOOGLE ABOUT THEM, they will kick you out.. it is true i have proof....They are racist and they only care about people that look like them and speak Spanish. they are so unprofessional and unethical. They do not care about the residents privacy, they post the residents information when they missed their rent on their doors, so the world can see that they miss their rent... they dont keep their words when they say they are coming and fix things when broken, it takes them two weeks and after many calls to the supposed to be maintenance or emergency line, when nobody ever answer, for them to come and fix the problem and they dont even leave a note about what they did if you are not home and left a mess to clean after. They cut the water all they time without giving us any warning and one time I went to the office to check whats going, the manager was in my face like its my fault, he could not even articulate and was making no sense.When the gas company came to connect my gas they have to leave a note for them to come fix their furnace first because the furnace was unsafe. . They discriminate against my wife and I, they took our money and not providing us what they were supposed to. The lady that represent them has the audacity to disrespect my wife and told me she cannot talk to me if my wife is present. WHATTTTT???? so is Marriage valuable to other race but not us African-American? and later she describes me as a black African, I am not even from Africa.My house got broken into right under their nose and they have cameras, guess what? they didnt catch anything. My tv, computer, xbox 1 and money were gone. The other day I went to the office, I was second in line but two Hispanic/Latino families that came after me went first and the office lady that represents La Perla Apartment which name is in the contract gave me attitude like I didnt have the right to be there.. I stood for almost 15 minutes because she was with a client but The families after me got welcomed and served and left. That lady lied all the time, when you make her face the truth she panicked and made no sense. That company is behaving badly, the reason I m writing this is because I want everyone to know that we are all protected under the Fair Housing Act and companies cannot discriminate against us when we are renting or buying a housing for our families.The lady that represents la Perla Apartment is mean, disrespectful, unethical. she is a LIAR.Their price is okay. but the staff is not excellent like the staff is claiming it is on google reviews.

I was debating between a couple complex like this one. All the reviews are alarming. I have 3small kids and the bedbug comments scare me. Also reviews that the manager is mean is concerning I really want to apply but hope the reviews are false but there are so many negative ones.

This is becoming an indirect way of discrimination,an way of making the apartment not conducive to the people living in La perla Apartment.it happen now in the apartment they will tow away you vehicle even if it carry the apartment packing permit,once it pack in the same sport more than three day without giving any warning or contact the owner.this is getting too much.they are no longer follow the regulations instead they always fine way of making life difficult to the people living in that apartment...if the apartment management cannot take immediate action to this matter,it will continue to give bad name to the apartment.

They keep closing the leasing office hours early

These apartments do not care what happens inside because since they are not the ones with the problem, I have been going to report the air conditioning that is failing me and making a noise for a long time and two weeks ago it started with more noise and it comes out water is not difficult for them to change it because this garbage is no longer useful ah !!! But to collect or any nonsense if they are punctual 😡

I wanted to know what gas company they used to ignite my gas and the old one in the office hung up on me, they dont have respect there and the cameras are only decorative because if they steal something or something happens to them they wont help you and araceli will never help you its in the office
