Absolutely horrible and disappointing service. If they are unable to deliver you have to pick up which is fine unless you actually work because they are not open on Saturdays and hours are 830-5. How is someone who works 8-5 ever supposed to get package? Your not and it will get returned to sender. Unacceptable
My mail carrier decided this month that I no longer live in the house I have been in for nearly 6 years and returned packages that I ordered. Now my son doesnt have a Halloween costume this year and all I was told was just go to the store and buy a new one as if I had all the time and money in the world to go do so. I have switched ALL of my bills to paperless and will gladly pay extra now to have FedEx or UPS bring my packages and will do EVERYTHING in my power to never have anything to do with the post office again.Fun update, now they wont deliver any of my mail. Didnt bother me until I found out my sons grandmother sent him a birthday gift..... Worst post office ever
After I had a bad experience with a crabby older woman at the rexburg usps, I drove out here & had a really good experience with a nice mid 30s/40s tan man (clerk #07). He was helpful, prompt, and answered all my questions thoroughly. He helped me fill out my mailing paperwork, and was patient with me. Will be returning for my postal needs
Almost on a daily basis am I working for the post office, but for free. I have to go all over my neighborhood on different streets and different blocks to properly deliver mail. The rare day I am home I witness the postman chatting away on his phone the whole time instead of verifying where he’s putting what. If I messed up that much at my job I would have a lawsuit. Today I didn’t have time to deliver a package a few streets away so I left a note and put it back in my box and put the flag up. I get home 12 hours later to find the flag still up.
So grateful for their excellent customer service. Whenever I need help sending a package, they always explain the options and help me get them sent at the best rate. Thank You!
Troy was a delight! Great service and great attitude. Came in right at closing on Christmas Eve and were astounded with the exceptional service. Thank you, Troy. Highly recommend for employee of the year!
I’ve always been treated with courtesy, and the employees have been very helpful any time I have questions. They go as quickly as possible, and have plenty of supplies in stock.
Got a package in an envelope I bought off eBay that came ripped up inside of a plastic bag with a message on it that says “we care” and apologizing for ruining my package. Sadly the item I bought wasn’t inside and I have to file a case/wait on the phone with these silly goobers for hours
I’ve always had knowledgeable staff members help when when I’ve gone, and I’m able to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
The staff at this USPS branch have time, and time again shown me that they are very knowledgeable and always willing to do more than what is necessary to help out their patrons. I can honestly say that this Post Office has offered to do more for me than was ever reasonably expected. That being said, the other reviews about long wait lines arent wrong.
I went to look up the phone number here and was stunned to see all the low rated reviews. I am new to Idaho and find this post office to be very efficient and everyone capable. Friendly, helpful, etc. WAY better than Connecticut!I hate getting the 800 phone number- who wants to call that? Please display the local number.
This is the worst post office. I went in to pick up a package. The lady being waited on was having something extra put on her mail. I have no idea how many she had done before I got there, but I counted 10 more. The Post Office lady was moving like a snail. There were 3 people ahead of me eventually 10 other people came in after me. One person ahead of me left. Finally the lady with all the envelopes was done and I expected the Post Office Lady to go get someone else to help. She did not and I wondered if she was the only one there. The next person was waited on. Another person at mid line left. She took back a box. The person ahead of me only had a question. Finally it was my turn and she went to get my package. A couple of minutes into my getting my package, as I said and will say again, the Post Office lady, at a snails pace. Amazingly a man came out of the back and asked if there was anyone he could help that would not involve money. That got rid of 3 people. I understand there have been cut backs. But this was ridiculous. Oh, also, there were two elderly people waiting. One had a back problem, the other did not walk well and looked to be in his 80s. I would have give a 0 but it would not let me post without a star
I work monday through friday 9-5 (post office hours) and i cant make it to the post office when they are open without taking time off of work but you cant call them. I have been on hold with there call center for half an hour to see where my missing document went. It is impossible to talk to these people and get any sort of real help
Impossibly long lines and slow workers. The mail carrier for our route shows up at random times during the day, often after 6 pm, and some days doesnt even deliver our mail. Waited all day today watching for him to show up only to have him not even deliver to our street. One day last week he came to our porch and opened our mailbox put NOTHING in it and left, came back a couple hours later to repeat this same action, and still there was nothing left in the box, but, at 9 pm that night I saw mail sticking out of the box. Three pieces of junk mail were delivered between 7 pm and 9 pm. Not only that but four of our letters containing monetary gifts that should have come a month ago at the latest have yet to show up while everything else seems to be showing up just fine. We have checked in with the senders and verified that they had in fact been sent out, and we went in to the post office and stood inline for an hour only for them to tell us they had no idea what could have happened and to just keep waiting. Not the first time we have had problems with this Post Office delivering mail. I sat on my porch last summer at a different address with a different mail carrier and route and watched for a package and on four different occasions I got the delivered notification while sitting on my porch waiting only to have all four of those packages never show up. Went in to file a complaint and they asked my mail carrier to verify that it was in fact my house they had been delivered to, and she lied to my face stating she had delivered them at the exact time I was sitting there waiting, and that it was indeed my address. Absolute worst Mail Carrier service Ive ever had to deal with.
Always just 1 worker with zero sense of urgency. No one who’s working seems to work at any pace of production. Wish there was an easier way to mail packages at this post office. Something needs to be done.
Very professional and I am proud of our city Idaho falls Post office representatives
One of the workers went out of his way to help me find an important package (a textbook for school) that went to the wrong address. The staff has always been kind and professional when Ive gone here. I think they do a great job
Came in to pick up a package being held and line was long, like 10+ people. Luckily they had 5 people at the registers! Sometimes 2 at one! I realize having people on every register isn’t always an option but it’s definitely getting better in regards to wait :)
Delivering a letter across the Atlantic. Average is 1 month. They said 2 weeks. Best post office service ever!!!
I went in today to inquire about an issue with a delivery. The lady at the desk did her best to help which I appreciated. The issue was then handed over to a “manager” who did not tell me her name. She basically told me the issue was my fault, there was no remedy, and that they would no longer deliver mail that was “address improperly” (even though 1.) it was addressed just fine and 2.) they have been delivering it that way for over a year). She was condescending and just plain rude. My fiancé is a mail carrier so I know that they don’t have the easiest job in the world but there is absolutely no reason to treat another human being this way.
Went at lunch and there was a very long line. However I used the automated kiosk with no line and was done in less than 3 minutes. Not sure if all the post offices have these now but I highly recommend compared to waiting in line.
The employees at this location have always been helpful and friendly, and the self-service kiosk is super convenient.
Scott was very helpful and respectful will always have a 5 star rating for him rest are grumps
Ive used this post office once. It was a good post office experience. I would go back and use their services again. They were fast and nice.
I thought they were absolutely amazing 10/10 would try again man 🤙🤙🍑🍑🥕🥕🤧🤧
They had my delivery date COMPLETELY wrong!!!! Not happy!!! No wonder this terrible company is going out of business... Thanks Obama! Taking all my service to wither fed ex or UPS much better companies!!! Peace out!
Today I was waitng on phone to talk to someone, for almost half hour. I am very not happy with you guys. Today is Oct 9. 2018. I was waiting for a mail all day. I think so mail skip my street day. Enough they put my packages to someone else
A post office is a post office. However, Ive been stuck in line at this office for over an hour, and theres almost always a large line. For quicker service with basic mailing services, go to the one on F st.
I was able to walk in waited for a very short time and was helped with fast, friendly, knowledgable service.
Package said out for delivery on tracking. Then got an update to pick it up at the office, it never even got attempted to be delivered. I went to pick it up, they said to come back when the carrier gets back cause the package was still with him. *sidenote- if its with him why doesnt he just do his job and deliver it?* I called customer service they were confused on why the carrier didnt deliver when he marked it as delivered in there system?!? So I come back when they told me to and they cant even find my package after the carrier had already returned and all I get is sorry we cant find it, we will try again tomorrow. Are you kidding me? Does anyone in that place know how to do there job? This all feels like a big joke.
I have waited almost 3 weeks now on a package that was delivered at the wrong address, which was an error on your part, if youre like me and work regular business hours it is impossible to get ahold of them. I have tracked my package everyday andbits just been sitting in your office since the 30th of January. So why havent you delivered it to the right address? This package was suppose to only take 3-5 business day which it did I recieved the text message saying it was in my mailbox when I checked it, it wasnt there. So i stopped one of your delivery men and asked him and he said he had to drive up the road to ask the other delivery man in front of him. I told him I would wait right there outside for him to come back but he drove right past me as I was waving at him. Not only that but there was a faint smell of alcohol on his breath and I watched him stopped in the middle of the road for a good 3 mins before he went speeding past me. Like I said I worl normal business hours or I would have been in there by now to pick it up myself and do your job for you. I have filed a claim and done everything on my part to retrieve this package I want it delivered now or I will request that you, usps, (not the company that I ordered it from) but you usps to reimburse me in full for the neglagence and inconvience you have caused. Do your job.
I was in there a month anc half ago. Inquiring about my mail box keys. The lady behind the desk gave me a sheet to fill out. I just heard back from them a few days ago. And this is with me driving there twice a week. And yes the long lines. Are horrible. Always only one person at the desk
Nice service.
Dont answer the phone when open lost my package went in a circle. Not helpful. The post ppl that deliver keeping given me someone else mail went by there and I saw there cart on the street with an empty box.trashy. not responsible.
Its open but they wont answer the phone consistently
Very poor service! Because the local 4th Street Post Office was out of Forever stamps, I ordered stamps online on May 10th, they were delivered to the wrong place on May 14. When I inquired on May 31, they promised to go get them. Three weeks and 8 calls later, they finally sent someone out to retrieve them and the place they were delivered to says they never got them. So the supervisor, Stan, said to file a claim. They said they would write a letter. When I called back to get it, Stan was gone for the day and the Postmaster wont be back until next week to write the letter. And then I was told it could take up to 3 months to get paid back. Meanwhile, still no stamps. I asked about that, and they said, just go buy more. Buruacracy at its best. They have no incentive to be curteous because they know we cant mail through anyone else. Very rude too. I would recommend using another office besides the 4th Street one!
The waits are stupid long. They only have two cashiers and 5 places to get people helped. I would rather go to shippro on 17th. Nobody ha time to wait 45 min to pick up a package. At least I dont thats for sure!!!!!
I had a terrible experience with the Idaho Falls Post Office on 4th Street. They were unhelpful, refused responsibility for the mistake and generally did not care that the service I paid for was not carried out. Too bad, so sad and I dont care attitude. Very disappointing.
LONG lines with one maybe two tellers there to help. If you can avoid it go somewhere else.
Horrendous customer service. There should be an OIG audit done at this location and the district postal office needs to step in.
Good experience. Not much wait.
Was excepting a package they dont do there job right its not hard to come put it in one of the big mail boxes lets use some common since its not hard
Long lines and only one worker every time Ive come to this location. Long wait times every time I come. I always try another parcel delivery companies when possible.
The guy almost sent me package to another address if I dont ask him to repeat what I wrote, and they took 50 minutes to do it
This place is so disorganized some dysfunctional theres no wonder why theyre broke they cant even figure out a way to answer a phone deliver packages for even deliver mail
Over paid incompetent idiots
