I called to inquire about them setting up service for a new construction project….. and because the project wasn’t assigned a permanent address yet, they told me they are unable to do anything. It’s a good thing I’m not a developer with several hundred projects!!
Been with them for about a month, the modem they gave us is a cheap gateway. Things are mostly fine, but we have had a time or two that we had to turn off a device in order to have better internet on a different device.
It took about a month and a half to get the cable line dug under our driveway and lawn but it was worth the wait. Everyone was so helpful at our local office in Idaho Falls! They really helped to expedite the whole process. Thank you all!!
I have been a customer for 20 years and have had automatic payments for 8 years. My card expired in July - I received zero notice in July or August. Came home on Sept 16th after a 2 week work trip to disconnected services. Called Sparklight, was told they sent emails about no payment, then emails about being in a soft disconnect and a final email saying my services was disconnected. I did not receive one email! I called them on Sept 16th, the disconnect was Sept 14th, they made me repay installation fee and acted like no big deal... If I didnt need the service for work, I wouldnt have resigned up.. Seriously zero notice and after faithfully paying every month they treated a loyal customer like garbage. I would no sign up with them! I do plan on switching within a few months.
For more than a month I kept having trouble with my phone being dead. They sent out David the technician. He was awesome! He found the break in my old phone line and helped with our internet. When Sparklight called about the customer review I was busy and could give one. But I want to give a shout-out to David. Thank you for everything you did for us.
I received my equipment within a few days. My service is excellent! When I called customer service to activate, the representative was very nice and knew what they were doing.
Installation time was 1-3pm. Serviced arrived at 2:53pm. I lost hours at work.Service bought was for 1000MB. Speed tests consistently show 4MB.Robotic phone calls, no email of payment confirmation, no follow up emails confirming installation time, no correspondence phone calls confirming installation.I don’t get disconnected so that’s cool, connection to router is strong. Always buy wired and connect Ethernet, WiFi can’t be trusted.
I love my Sparklight service. The customer service is outstanding. Anytime that I have had any issues they have been right there to help. The best customer service I have come across next to Jakers. Thank you Sparklight for helping our communities and helping people in need as well. The food donations and the money that you have shared has been such a great thing to help our community. Be blessed.
The internet service is great. I’ve been a customer for almost a year now and haven’t experienced a single outage. In my area it’s the fastest internet for the best price. My only concerns are that they have a monthly data limit. They will let you go over that limit but they charge 15 dollars once you go over your limit and then they add 100 GB to your allotment. It’s not a huge deal but I haven’t heard of an Internet provider doing this before. My other concern is about how they handle billing if you miss a payment. I forgot my bill one month (I’m only human) and instead of adding a late fee they completely turned off my service and then demanded a 90 dollar reconnection fee, a service charge, and the first months payment all up front before they would reconnect it. I was expecting some sort of late fee. Which I fully deserved, but almost 200 dollars to reconnect me for missing my bill once? Seems really steep to me.
They should be a negative sign for this company and for the system as well, they are of no help at all! Their only telephone number is that so you can pay them. There standard line is all recorded messages and it takes for ever to try and get to a human being which is near impossible. You cant find a worse company They were to come out and move the indoor antenna location because Im handicapped and cant be doing stars to restart the modem all the time, and on the day they were to come they cancelled. Thats their service. The very worst.
Internet service is fast, when it works. Continually having connection problems, stops working, had a bad modem, still intermittent coverage. When I call for help, I shouldnt have to wait over 1/2 hour for someone. Waited 45 minutes with no answer. Terrible customer service, I guess its time to move on to another carrier.Have tried to call back and communicate. Still poor follow through and wait times are terrible. Made a change to my subscriptions and they messed that up as well. Now paying for phone service that was disconnected by mistake! Cant wait for Fiber!!!
We seemed to have picked the worst time possible to transition to Sparklight. The phone and internet service took three visits over 8 days to install. They have been transitioning to a new system and the phone frequently has not worked. I did not want them to take phone messages because I have an answering machine, but the system took messages anyway. I had to call them on my cell phone to fix my landline. The landline is still arbitrarily not working correctly. This better improve soon or I am going back to usiing CENTURYLINK.
My first contact to tell me about the services was good. The customer service rep was helpful and helped me choose the products I would enjoy. Then it went downhill:; the installer was polite but left without saying anything and left the wrong cord to plug into receiver, I had to call twice to explain the cord issue to get another tech to come out, that tech was an hour late and not real knowledgeable, the picture quality was awful he didnt seem to think there was a problem. We had a friend come over and make adjustments to make the picture better.
Im very happy that I switched to Sparklight. The extra speed I now have is great.
Service scheduled from 3 to 5, supposedly they arrived at 3 and just left. No note, no call or text, and now they have no availability for another 10 days. Extremely frustrating and not a good way to welcome your new customers.
Super rude and lazy employees. Harsh service all around. We bought a new house all the wiring was new at the property and the last owner took off all cabel. We asked them to come install a new one and the employees complained they had to do it all over again, then told me the only place they would install is in my very nice and expensive feature wall in yhe home. They refused to run in under the crawl space which is huge, clean, and only need to go 5 feet to get into the basement where I requested. My wife was very nice and I was very nice and both techs where extreme rude and lazy and not helpful at all. Id give 0 stars and wish there was a company in shelley that provided better internet.
It would have been nice to receive a list of channel lineups available to me. I am new to the area
I pay almost 200 a month for what they claim is the fastest and the best internet out there but I can never get my smart tv’s to connect at all and if there’s anything connected it’s slower then all hell I end up having to watch tv off my phone and every time I call to get it fixed they say there’s nothing wrong with anything and everything is working fine and hang up on me
Trash please save yourself time and money and go literally anywhere else. Your better off with AOL
Completely unsatisfactory. I have called asking them to disconnect my service with Sparklight months ago. They still continue to charge my account EVERY month. Are you serious?? Answer my calls so I can take my credit card off my “disconnected” account!
I decided to get this internet about a month ago and I’ve had a pretty good experience with it. The only thing I have a problem with is the data cap, it should be at least 1TB for all of the plans.
They set up appointment and then the day before they reschedule for another 2 weeks. Thats after you already paid. Very poor service!!!
Takes 10 min at least to contact an actual person on the phone, took 2 weeks minimum to get a tech out to install the router, and now every month they tell me Im going over my data limit (I already pay 65 a month) and charge me more. Even though with previous companies I have never gone over my data allotment, even though my gaming and streaming habits have actually decreased since moving states and switching to Sparklight. Chatting online doesnt help, they only say to talk to tech support, called tech support and they told me they cant actually see how much each connected device is using, so theyre basically useless. The guy just told me to buy unlimited and be done with it (and extra 40 a month he estimated). The GB data usage just DOES NOT seem to add up. Ive got a data tracker on my computer and the highest its registered is 15 GB for the previous month, so to think that Im somehow going over 350 GB of data???? Seems very inaccurate, and Ive never had issues with other companies. And they absolutely wont help you figure out the real reason why, they just want you to upgrade and get your money, if you need help with anything other than upgrading, then call or chat support are useless and wont even understand your problem.Wish I wouldve seen their review page here first before I chose them. Absolutely wouldve chose differently.
Same day install just had to pick the modem up from the office i dont have lag while playing online
I would give 5 stars if they change a few things, First off we only purchase your net for streaming and gaming etc...We have noticed that in order to get specific streaming service such as Peacock Disco+ Disney+ just to name a couple We have to log into the sparklight account and try adding these services which are free but require you to add via link sparklight account, If you included all this in your packages where we dont need to link or add or log into our sparklight accounts just to activate said streaming services that would help a lot and get many customers to return....Allow everything that is available with sparklight internet to not need us to add or link accounts in order to watch a fav program!Be great if we could watch peacock and all the extras without having to go through all the trouble of contacting a live person in order to get said streaming services added...
Service and customer service have been great! When we have called in for help, they were very courteous, patient and friendly as well as helpful.
Maybe too early to tell but I switched to Sparklight hoping to have a more stable connection. The internet went down every night for the first 4 nights. It’s been steady since then...
Decent, depends on the day. At first our internet has been great, but every now and then it gets slow. We pay $65/ month for just 200 mbsps speed. It’s not a good price for the service but there are not many options in Idaho. I only say this because I know others and family that pay a similar price or a little more for a higher speed. But overall it’s pretty good for basic needs and some streaming. We provide our own modem but they offer to rent one for $10 a month. I recommend getting your own. It’s the same price overtime.
Ive been a customer for years and the service itself is great! The online bill pay is great! The speeds are great! But oh my gosh are they infuriating to deal with! I just moved houses and apparently they cant get here for 3 weeks??! Ive been around town and seen their techs chilling on their phones in their vans. We know they arnt doing anything!!? How hard is it to make a 15 minutes house visit? In a world where the internet is increasing efficiency, this company, who helps provide it, has none.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. They don’t care about their customers at all. They don’t care if it’s a 10+ year customer who relies on them for their livelihood (working from home) and just had their life turned upside down. When you call and need anything, they won’t be there to help. Also, this is not a technician problem. This is a company problem! Their technician is fabulous, when they allow him to come out!
My appointment was canceled because I missed their call. Which I was left no voice mail or way of returning the call. I have 2 little kids and cant always make it to my phone right away. Im mostly annoyed because I had to schedule this appointment for a new router 2 weeks out because my work schedule dosent work with their tech hours. Now who knows how long it will be to be seen. I am paying for internet that doesnt work half the time.
Easy set up and disconnect, good customer service experience, and great internet quality. Very happy I went with Sparklight!
Wonderful Everyone is very Nice and friendlyThanks Sports Fans as my little Sweet angel Champ Bear would say Hooray
The people are great. The service is terrible. We are paying for the highest speed, and are getting about 20% of the speed we are paying for. I don’t actually know if they actually have the capability of delivering the speed they promise.
I have to unplug my modem every 4 days and its not just me my Father in-law has the same issue I would of went with Century Link but they only have 12 meg available. My main issue with spark light is the stupid usage limit
We have not had a single problem since having Sparklight installed! From keeping up with friends and family thru social media to streaming our favorite movies and shows Sparklight has not-let us down or disappointed us in anyway, we tried internet providers before only to regret the choice and discontinue the service rather then put up with disappointment and hidden fees! Long story short thanks for sparklight my kids my wife and I am happy!!! Anyone I know looking for internet service I will and have referred to Sparklight!!!
630 pm March. 15. 2021 internet goes out. I can’t study, pay bills, take tests, or anything! Internet has become so very important now a days and the fact that they decided it’s ok to randomly cut the internet for an update without notifying us is completely unacceptable! And after trying to talk to an actual person for an hour I gave up and decided to write this up. Honestly, if you are truly sorry for this how about you find us a new internet provider, that is easy to talk to, and help us switch to them.Reasons to not choose this company:1) Unreliable internet2) TERRIBLE customer service3) internet appears to be throttled in the evening4) too expensive for the services they provide
Terrible service for the price. DO NOT USE THEIR MODEM. I have had these guys for over 2 years and my modem has been replaced 3 times. The customer service is adequate at best they will tell you thats its done or fixed when it isnt just to get you off of the phone. These guys are ameatures that dont know how to network properly.
Customer service is terrible and the fact that they cant give you a time frame for a technician to get out to help you besides between 8 in the morning to 7 at night is absolutely ridiculous I dont have time to sit at home all day and wait for a technician
They never buried our internet line and won’t now until spring. Their “contractor that does all their line burring lost all his help”. You think they would have hired another contractor to finish their jobs. We are seriously considering switching providers. When you do a job you finish it even if it costs you a little more. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I would love to write a review about great service but it’s impossible to even get the service installed when they tell you they’ll be there between 1:30-2:30 and then come 30 minutes early before you even had a chance to get to the location where service will be installed. Then when I called I was told we needed to have someone at the house during the time frame given. That’s great advice and I’m glad I was able to have someone at the house during the time frame given... however that means nothing if the installation technician isn’t going to come at the scheduled time. At that point they might as well come at any time since the schedule is arbitrary. Now I had to reschedule for a different day although I wasn’t the one who missed the appointment and made every effort to be present for installation although I’m located 30 minutes away.
Customer service takes FOREVER!!! It is definitely outsourced to another country and the reps are not great English speakers. We were on a call for 2 hours!!!It took 3 weeks for the install yet they took the liberty of billing the day we first called in. So we paid three weeks early. Not impressed but we need internet. Someone please make an internet company that cares. I’ll pay more!!!
I am extremely pleased with Sparklight. Our service was connected in a timely manner, their employee was friendly and efficient, the pricing is fair and the speed is fantastic. We haven’t experienced any interruptions in our service. I highly recommend Sparklight!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. they charge $40 more than any other provider, they are rude and very un-informative over the phone, and on top of that they take serveral weeks to install. I will be taking my money to another internet service provider with better service and prices and will advise anyone and everyone to do the same thing. Fire this company from Idaho. We deserve better than this.
Just started service 2 weeks ago and have already had more outages than we did with previous provider in 2 years
Sparklight was extremely easy to work with on getting my internet setup. I own my modem and other networking equipment and they were able to get everything online quickly. I do think they are priced higher than the average ISP but I do not have any complaints about the service. We did have a short 2 hour outage one night which was frustrating but customer service was friendly when I reached out to them about my service being down.
Worst customer service ever! Do NOT use this garbage company! I have an appointment scheduled for installation, I wait around for it all day and when they dont show, I call about it. They say tech was there. He didnt bother to knock on the door, just hung a note and then left. They said that the next available time to reschedule was a week away and called me a liar for this whole thing. Waste of my time and money. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Installer was great taking the extra to update our cable from the box as well as in the house. He put another box on the garage side wall of living room so we could arrange TV viewing on the big wall. Service is seamless. We considered upgrading service to digital pack giving us access to more games. We were surprised to find that that could only be done during office hours during the week. Its only a matter of flipping a switch to change service packages.
Great experience with Sparklight. No problems, and the tech was in and out of my house in 15 minutes. I will always recommend Sparklight to my friends.
Could not rate under 1 star. I have had CableOne (Before it became Sparklight) for over 2 years at home and 1 year at my business. The last 2 months were nothing but problems. Internet not reliable, Agents unable to answer simple questions or come up with any solutions. If you are a business, STAY AWAY from this internet service, not only will they not help you when you are having internet problems, but they will try to charge insain fees if you cancel your service, even if they did not fulfill their part of the deal. I was happy with the cost (which is high) when the service was working great, but a month and a half with problems is simply unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and steer away from this service.
Their Customer Service needs to be trained on how to help a customer without being snappy and rude. Have not had a very good experience with them. I do like their product line-up so hopefully their CS skills will also improve.
Worst customer service ever! Very hard to talk to a human, you have to work with a robot. Takes ten times longer than what it would if you could talk to a person.I am paying the 300mbps but never get more than 150 mbps, that is standing at my $400 dollar router. In my area they are the fastest internet provider but as soon as something as fast comes out here we will be changing services. Also we are in the year 2020 and they don’t offer unlimited data unless you pay an extra $20 a month.
Im so tired of paying to rent their modem that is junk. So I buy my own and they refuse to activate it. Its pretty sad they will lose a long time customer over this.
Most of the time the Internet was fine. Speed wasnt great but it wasnt bad. Not worth the price, but there are few options so you take what you get. Not infrequently we had service disruptions, and then wed get several wired Internet dropouts in an hour or so. At first it happened frequently, but two tech support calls scaled that back to occurring only twice a month (signal quality issues, partly due to apartment complex wiring).
Some seriously rude jerks running their online so-called help chat. Had to deal with them while helping my parents and found them really snotty and money-grubbing. The rude rep also failed to inform me beforehand that the equipment needed to be labeled when returning it to the office. I can only hope they dont charge me $100 per item since everything was returned but we were unable to label it due to their failure tell us that. So the only good thing to come out of all this is now I know I would definitely never use Sparklight in my home.
100 mbps service, achieves speeds of 115 mbps at times, and at times less than 1mbps... When it is good, it is very very good. When it is bad, it is rotten. It is very very good most of the time. I still have my CenturyLink connection - I wont cancel it yet, just in case I need it while we figure this out
Pretty upset about the constant lag spikes I get while playing video games. I got the gamer/streamer package hoping I wouldnt run into much lag.. little upset man.
Granted it wasnt at their place of business so much as it was at my house, but the technician, Jason, was amazing. He was on time, he was communicative, he was friendly, and he was efficient.
Internet is fast, but very unreliable. Video calls, etc., are dropped at least once every hour. I have to reset the cable modem at least twice a day. This is unacceptable for working from home. I frequently have to use my cell phone (not WiFi) and tether my computer just to make sure I don’t drop off a video call. This will definitely not work in the new “normal”, and I’m looking for something better.Update: I did reach out as requested by the owner, but never received a response. Still having the same issues, and still looking for something more reliable.Update #2: Modem was replaced, and seemed to work better for a while, but now it’s back to being completely unreliable. We have reached out again to see if we can’t resolve this issue, but frankly we’re ready to cancel our service. There is a reason Sparklight’s average rating is less than 3 stars, so buyer beware.Update #3: Still waiting for a response from Sparklight, and can’t get through their phone system. The problem has worsened, and the internet has dropped during two very important video calls. I have to use my cell data just to make sure I can stay connected. Wish there was a “zero” stars rating.
I was impressed by Sparklights on line tech response to problems I was having getting connected via self-service and her arranging to have someone come out on short notice. I was disspointed with CenturyLink when they were unable to provide service that I had scheduled about a month in advance.Although the on site Sparklight tech could not come into my place due to COVID, he helped me troubleshoot the issue I was having and I was able to resolve it.
We had someone come for the hook up. I think that lasted for one day. I called and went through all the numbers you push then sat on hold for 20 minutes or so. The second guy came out and cut off a newly stretched cable my husband put in for T.V. antenna. Third guy came out the same day. He told us we had to have the modem in the garage. He didnt want to stretch it outside and come through the wall. I no longer could get internet in my office on the main floor. He left and we discovered that one of them took the base of the box that all the cables went in. He did leave the cover. I called to have them come back and put the box back on. Its been a week and we still have not had anyone call or come. We also still have a cable outside that is to be berried. Not real impressed with the service.
I have called them to many times. I cant even keep track of all the times we have called about unreliable internet. Im paying for 300meg speed, my wife needs to use her phone 4g hotspot so she can get fast enough internet to complete online tests. This is rediculous that i am paying over $100 for nothing internet. Im done im going to another provider.
Terrible internet service. Terrible customer service. False information given by their reps when signing up for service. Data caps on their unlimited plan, then they not only charge you for the extra usage, but the service seems to be throttled. (Either that or their service sucks all the time.) Couldnt have more than 2 devices connected at the same time without everything either buffering or would disconnect devices randomly. Overall experience......HORRIBLE!
It was good
Service on the west side of Idaho Falls is terrible. They want you to pay 50 dollars more on top of the 100 dollars for better internet. I highly recommend going with a different company. I will be very soon
I purchased a 1gig line from Sparklight so that I could have uninterrupted service while teaching students online. I have a brand new NetGear Nighthawk modem/router (the second in 8 months; first was a rebuild—bad idea). Cost of modems $720. I spend $125/month for internet service. Sparklight servicemen have been to my home three times previously within the last 3 months trying to make it so that my download speeds don’t vary between 950 mbs and .15 mbs. Sparklight’s ability to identify and correct issues has been poor. So, here I am writing this evaluation by using my I-phone as my hotspot.I’m tired of dealing with being without internet every other day/every other hour. At times, service will be randomly dropped. Based on the lack of service Sparklight provides to others in my neighborhood, it seems that Sparklight intentionally provides poor service until finally, out of exasperation, you cancel your service. Then, they don’t have to service an area that doesn’t have high enough service density to make it profitable for them. Consider other service providers before selecting this one.
Worst service I have ever experienced not even able to stream to one device and they claimed I went over my data cap each month. When I spoke with a rep they said they don’t throttle speeds but on the website is states they do. Customer service outside of technical support is horrible. All around not happy with any point of service.
Horrible company been trying to get internet since first of oct then keeps getting canceled bc they meet there installs for the day stay away from this company
Since upgrading to avoid overusing our data; we seem to be still using all of our data. We don’t use more than we did before upgrading. It’s slower and crashes. We really don’t love this provider especially since upgrading.
I was unaware of a 90$ reinstatement fee when our internet got disconnected. But apparently when it gets shut off you have a 90$ reinstatement fee + the next month bill. This is really aggravating
You can hardly ever talk to anyone that is human. When you do and they say that they will put in a work order, it never happens and they Never follow up. I requested help over 2 weeks ago. They informed me that they would put in a work order and they would follow up with us no later than the next day. This was for issues involving our neighborhood as other neighbors were having the same issues with internet access and waiving power or dropping internet that was happening for weeks. Not only did they not call or follow up, when I got back with them yesterday after 2 weeks+, they had no record of the work order. Im fed up.
The worst service that I have ever had. My internet kept losing signal, making it not work at all. I had two service calls where technicians came out, one of them replacing a cable that runs in my backyard. I was told they would come out 2 weeks later to bury the cable, but did not show up. I ended up calling tech support to figure out why they didnt come and they told me they didnt have any notes that they were coming out that day. I got told that it would take them over 2 months to come out and bury a cable. I understand its a different company that does this but why lie to me and tell me one day when it wasnt for 2 months. At this point, Im going to have to do it myself. I definitely would not go with this company with fiber internet coming into the Idaho Falls area.
Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Im going with another company.
Not happy yet. No consistent service. Ive been connected with sparklight for 3 weeks. I was told a technician would be able to come the same day if there was a problem. Not so. It took 3 days the first time and now I have to wait 5 days for the next one.My daughter has an online class so we are frustrated.
These people who work here are utterly AMAZING! Weve had Cable One/Sparklight for years. Internet service best in the area with hardly any outages. Office personnel is great! Beyond helpful. Idaho Falls staff is the best!
Absolute worst customer service ever!! Continues billing after services were reduced and had nothing but excuses. Great at taking my money, terrible at sending credits or completing transactions correctly.
I’m writing this on March 31, 2020. According to Sparklight/Cable One, I’ve used 33.01gb of total data... for the month of April, 2020. This is according to their online data usage chart. I shouldn’t have to explain that this is simply not possible because I am not a time traveler. If I was, I’d be able to afford better internet than Sparklight/Cable One. Do not be surprised if they tell you you’re using more data than you actually are.
Speed and service is good and reliable. I really like that there is NO contract! I do wish the data cap were higher because we stream a lot. However the customer service team did offer some great suggestions on how to reduce our data usage without reducing our streaming time. With some minor settings changes we have been able to comfortably stay within our data limit so far. Overall, HAPPY. :)
Ive had CableOne/Sparklight for over 10 years. Weve had continuous service. They have been very reliable. When we moved to a new house their tech was very professional at installing; even had white boot coverings when he came in. Thank you for your service.
Only went with this company because they were the only internet provider in the area that you could get internet above 10 mbs. They have hidden fees. They have horrible customer service. When you close out your account they cant even tell you what your final bill will be. They will charge you for your days of service and tell you your account is all paid for and that you should not see another bill and then turn around and hit you with fees that they quote on quote cant see untill your normally billing cycle is over. Then sent that information to a debt collector if you have moved. If I knew my experience with this company was going to be so bad i would have with the another company for internet or gone with out.
I wish the data caps were higher.
I set-up my appointment on the website and received a prompt confirmation email, the day of the appointment the technicians called me to again confirm the appointment. They showed up on time and were out the door in not more than 15 minutes with everything working great. Jason and Josh were the techs that installed mine. Great people, extremely professional and personable.
Automated help is worthless and once I did speak to a rep, he kept putting me on hold. That call was over an hour. Still have no internet and was on hold for another half hour to see when I could expect it, but nobody EVER did come on lime to help. I hung up, because I dont have that much time to waste.
Would be fine, except nothing on the guide is labeled for the right program/right time. Not sure why that is, but everything is wrong. This causes recording to be a mess. You set stuff to record and you have to add a ton of time on either end in order to get what you wanted. This doesn’t happen on all the channels, but it definitely happens on some. Disney is always all over the map, with some programs even ending/beginning on the 15min mark instead of the half hour. FX often stops recording before the last minute of the movie or so. This is really irritating. The point of having TiVo is so you can record, but you really can’t use it effectively, so there’s not much point. Normally, I let it go, but tonight we checked two movies we recorded off the same channel and one appeared to be the wrong movie (old black and white we’d never seen so kind of hard to tell without watching) and both were begun in the middle. Not happy. Someone needs to fix this issue with the guide. Not sure if this is the right place to go with this complaint, but it’s the only place I can start.
Wonderful service, and I had an opportunity to meet some of their staff. I felt welcome and like they enjoyed where they worked
Their service is by far the best speed and reliability! Customer service is knowledgeable and friendly. They are on top of any issues with the internet before you even know there is an issue. We have had them for about 3 years now and only once has the internet stopped working and when it did i was in the process of calling them when my wife told me they were already outside the house working on it! No contract or hidden fees overall honest company unlike others in the area!
We have had Cable One for over 3 years and have never had a problem. When I went to pay our bill this month the price had tripled! That was unexpected and not in our budge. I was ready to find a less expensive company. I reached out to them in hopes that we could come to a happy resolution. I worked with someone named Isabelle who was absolutely wonderful! She helped me get our account back to how it was. She saved us as customers. All of your employees should learn from her, she really went above and beyond! Thank you Isabelle!!
Good speeds, but the data caps are inexcusable in this day and age. You can pay extra for unlimited, but it makes whats already slightly expensive way too expensive. Also, if you have any issues that require a technician visit, dont make an plans or cancel the ones you have. They tend to give you a 11 hour appointment window.
I have been a customer for about a month. So far the speeds allotted data have been ample for my gaming and streaming needs. I have not had connection problems and the technician who installed the cables and router was very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend this service to friends and colleges.
The cost is too high. We quit TV service because they keep bumping up costs. Otherwise, we liked the quality of the service. We still have internet and phone with them. If the cost isnt right though, I will move on.
They honestly dont even deserve one star. Extremely overpriced for TERRIBLE service. I lived in a small apartment and my box couldnt reach my room from my living room - pathetic. The slowest Ive ever had. I was basically forced to use them where I lived, so I literally moved to get away from Sparklight/Cable One. They bill you for everything because they are so desperate for money. It takes 15+ minutes to reach an actual person when contacting them. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!
We have one of the better plans brand new house and modem and router and we have the slowest internet in our area
Not sure exactly HOW an introductory offer of $98.00 for six months on extended basic and Internet becomes a final charge of just under $130.00, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. A LITTLE truth could go a long ways. I would NOT have rejected cable service based on a FROM introductory offer of $98.00 to $130.00, but this is a deceptive form of marketing which indicates a company policy of deception. Try being HONEST with people. You may be surprised how well it works! ;-)Just curious, now; I received a there, there email response to my ORIGINAL comment above. Although I sent a subsequent--and more direct--reply to your follow-up (in re; Ill pass that along to our cheats and liars) department. While that response from Cable One probably passes for what the AVERAGE customer sees as customer service, it does NOT fit mine. I would greatly--over a MONTH after my original review, and, despite what your reply shows for a DATE, about two WEEKS after your response/lip service. I STILL give the same comment as my original: Try being HONEST with people. If you WONT, at least have the common courtesy to actually ANSWER my original question, as well as my follow-up of why--although I have extended basic service, I am unable to find ANY server-supplied directory regarding programming on ANY of those channels. It would seem your reply is about as dishonest as your multitude of special offers! Kind of wondering just how much MORE money I would have to spend to access a PROGRAM LISTING. Isnt that how bait and switch works? :-(
So far so good, not a big fan of the cord strung across my yard during the installation. We called and asked about it, apparently they wont bury the cables during the winter. Thats cool I can respect that. However when ours was installed the beginning of November it hadnt snowed or frozen and was somewhere in the tune of 50 degrees outside. So based on how that was handled Im not sure how long this relationship will last, but the Internet seems adequate.
The service is OK not happy with the money aspect of it
Avoid at all costs! Had Sparklight for about 2 month before I ran into financial issues. Never received any notices and had my service disconnect. First month I had to have a technician out twice for modem/cable issues. 2nd month was OK. After being disconnected I called to reconnect services and was told Id have to pay a whopping $310 to reconnect. Absolutely outrageous! Service wasnt poor but wasnt great and I will not pay bogus sur charges for my internet. Lastly the customer service rep I talk to last was rather rude towards me even though I was nice to her. Highly recommended not doing business with them.
I wanted to like Sparklight, I really did. And when they are good, they are really good. Fast speed, good customer service, reasonable prices. BUT, the service isnt reliable at all. I am constantly getting messages on my devices that they cant connect to the internet. The streaming services buffer and buffer. Weve tried everything, up to and including unplugging and restarting all devices. Still glitchy. If they ever fix this issue, I will be happy to re-review with 5 stars.UPDATE: My service has improved dramatically. Not sure what they did, but it worked. YAY! Now I can give 5 stars!
Ive had to upgrade my Internet service because I was using more than what comes with my current package. Hopefully, the service will improve. The customer service here has improved slightly. When I called to upgrade my service, the customer service agent was very helpful and talkative.Other than the spotty service and outages, I like Cable ONE. My bill has never been a mystery and they are usually okay with their services.Update 9-7-15: I have changed my rating to one star and I would go lower if I could. The reason being is that I am an independent contractor and I have to work through most holidays. Labor Day is no exception and is a normal work day for me. I understand that Cable One is closed on Labor Day but my problem is that my $108 per month service is NOT WORKING (my current upload speeds are .01M) and I cannot log into my websites to complete my work. I am hobbled right now when I need the service the most. I know it seems mean to punish you with a bad review for not being open on a holiday but at $108 per month for service, this is seriously hindering my ability to earn money to support my family. Holiday or not, your BAD SERVICE is hurting my ability to complete my work.
