Keith was our service technician. He responded same day as call. He was courteous, professional, friendly, and he thoroughly investigated and diagnosed the cause of the AC malfunction. He explained his methodology and his degree of certainty in fixing the problem, in this case he said he was about 95% sure he fixed the problem. I understood because he described a situation involving the fan freezing that was possible but unlikely. He showed me pictures of the interior of the HVAC unit to explain his diagnosis. In the unlikely event that he was incorrect in his diagnosis, he said to call back, he was the on-call technician that weekend and he would be back over to take another look. Now a week later, no issues whatsoever with the drain pan; dry as the desert. He exemplifies customer service of yesteryear, and I was very impressed with his overall expertise. We are just in the stage of getting quotes a new system. We werent sure if we needed to repair the old one or replace. The technician, Keith, came out and really gave the system and duct work a good looking over. He spent a good bit of time looking at all the components and talking to us about his observations and some options. We agreed with him we needed a consultant to come out and give us a quote on a new system. We have that consultation scheduled. We just wanted to say at this point how impressed we are with this company and Keith whom we have already met.
We had a coil in our unit that leaked all the refrigerant. Manufacturing issues kept delaying the shipment of a replacement. When Annette Hales Indoor Comfort Systems learned it would be another two months of Alabama summer without cooling, they contacted their distributor and found a solution to our problem. Very happy with the outcome!
The best HVAC company in town! They really stand behind their products, even for the services that were completed years ago. The manager Sean went above and beyond to work with us. The service tech Herman was very professional and experienced. He pinpointed the issue that others did not find. We are so glad we purchased two units from them!
Called Annette Hales because they installed the HVAC system for the builder in my new home 14 months ago. So Im barely 2 months outside of the 1 year warranty and one of my units stops cooling. A tech came out the afternoon of the same business day I called (this was not an after hours call). The tech talked to me, diagnosed the problem, replaced the blown capacitor and filled out paperwork all in 10 min. For that 10 min I was charged $180 ($80 diagnostic and $100 for service). The part was under warranty. I am utterly shocked this is the price they charge for 10 min worth of work for a system under warranty. They have lost all of my future business. I do not recommend.
Annette Hales was everything we wanted in an HVAC professional - after getting other opinions on our HVAC system, Keith came out on time and was honest, kind, and his help kept us from possibly spending thousands when it wasnt necessary. He cleaned our coils and left us with a unit that works perfectly! That kind of honesty and amazing service is one-of-a-kind these days! Will definitely be calling them again for any HVAC services we need.
Tina was able to get the service folks out within a short time to diagnose our problem. Once it was determined what part was needed and the service folks notified Tina of the issue, she was able to get the part into their facility within one day and schedule us for another service visit the next day. As a subcontractor for our builder they prided themselves by ensuring to deliver quality products and excellent technicians for our new home. Matthew, the technician that conducted follow-up service, did an excellent job installing our register that was missing. He took additional time and gave us a 101 information overview on the the running and maintenance of our Ecobee HVAC unit. Also, Annette Hales Indoor Comfort admin team also ensured to provide accurate appointment times and we had no delays-- Matthew arrived early for both appointments. This is a top notch sub contractor for Woodland Homes.

Yesterday Kevin and Dexter came out to complete the spring maintenance on both of my Carrier units and as usual I received nothing but outstanding service, I was notified before they arrived so I was able to ensure I was home. Kevin was very professional and helpful. He came in and changed his shoes and started to troubleshoot my system. He was there to do a PM and found that my emergency heat was out. He went back to the shop and ordered the part and put it in and got it back running smooth as it should be. He explained to me what the part did and how I could make the system better. Apparently we had lightning hit our carrier infinity system. Ernest did a great job determining all the damage. Took a few days to get the parts but after 2.5 hours putting it back together we are back in business. Ernest knows his technology! Highly recommend them
We had some repair work done on our ducts and are 100% satisfied with Indoor Comfort Systems. They responded quickly and notified us when the technician was on the way. Jamie was knowledgeable, respectful, professional, and just a good guy to work with. He took care of the issue and made sure we were satisfied. Seems like it’s harder to find good service people to work with you on your home, but Jamie is one of them.

First of all, my son-in-Law is the General Manager of this company so I know that ALL CUSTOMERS are/will be given excellent service and respect. I just had my 16 year old Dual Heat system replaced with a new Carrier Dual Heat system and a new Carrier ecobee WiFi thermostat. The new unit has a higher value SEER, HSPF, AFUE, and Cooling EER than the older unit so this system will be more efficient than the older unit.
Highly recommend Annette Hales Indoor Comfort Systems. They were very quick to respond to my situation -- and on a WEEKEND too! From the representatives who answered the phones and took the information (Rebecca is the only name I remember, but there were others) to the service technician (Herman) all were extremely professional, reliable, communicative and efficient. My home was under warranty so there was no cost attached to the call, but I will be sure to use them even after the warranty expires.
I called to ask a question and while being placed on hold the receptionist hung up on me and didnt bother to a take my number in case we were disconnected or call me back if they had caller id.

I had four estimates for this carrier heat pump, and these guys did what they promised at a reasonable price. They will be getting more business from me next year. The downstairs unit is 17 years old as well.
We made an appointment a month ago to receive service at 8 am, and we had no issues waiting due to the quality of their service. Well, that day came and went, and we received no service from them. They were a no-show at 8 am. We called them at 8:15, and they informed us that the service rep would be there in a few minutes. They ended up coming at 11:15 am, and we left at 10:45 am due to other engagements we had. Why have set appointment times if youre not going to abide them? What a waste of our time! Totally disappointed. We will be looking for service elsewhere...
Took two weeks from first contact attempt to actually fix my heat. Apparently, the contact form on their site is dead, but theres no indication on the site itself. After I actually got an appointment set up, the gentleman who came to the house told me I needed a part replaced and that they could install it in two days. When I wasnt contacted in that timeframe, I called them for an update. After multiple days of leaving messages, they finally told me the part would be available for install the next day. Three (business) days after that, my heat was finally fixed. Only reason I gave them any stars at all is because the two people who actually visited my home were polite, knowledgeable, and professional. Given that, it seems to be an issue at the top more than anything.

Great price for name brand heat pumps. Install team had great attention to detail and service tech stayed late into Friday afternoon (in the rain) to make sure the new unit was serviced correctly and working flawlessly. Get a quote from these folks for your new systems. Some vendors in town are priced very high. They also serviced my last units for 12 years and did not disappoint.
Off their game right now. They installed the systems in our home and we used them for routine maintenance. Right now (November 2019) they are severely understaffed and are unreliable if you can even reach them. I want to give them more stars because the people who have been to our house have all been awesome. Were going to look elsewhere for this years maintenance cycle and hope they get back on their game.
Service tech was good, did the job well with no mess or fuss. This was a warranty job and there was no delays in them doing the work. tech came back with the replacement part the next day. Notifications about time the tech would arrive at my house were very good. this is my second experience with this company and I would use them again without hesitation.

We appreciate the thoroughness of Chris is our service tech. for our twice yearly maintenance. He checks everything, cleans the unit, explains what is going on with the system and keeps everything in operating order. On his visit yesterday he caught a problem with the capacitor, which was still under warranty. He got it replaced, added refrigerant and took care of everything quickly. We are so thankful that he caught this before it failed completely, saving us from a service call.
Highly recommended. We have a very old hvacc system and their experienced techs were able to fix without the usual push you get to buy a new system. This makes them more likely I do call when I do need to replace

We had the yearly inspection/cleaning of our 2 hvac units. Very good job. I could see the difference in the outdoor units. Repairman suggested we had too much load on the inside air handler and to remove the pre-filters. We will see if the unit stops coding with just the electrostatic units in place.—I will have this service done again, and would recommend Comfort Systems to others.
Bought the unit originally from Indoor Comfort Systems a few years back so I called them when the unit stopped blowing cold air. Called Monday morning and a tech was at my house by 10:45. He was very friendly and took the time to talk to me about what he was doing while I watched him work. It was a simple fix for him with the replacement of one part which he had. I was very happy with the price and service and would call them again for an honest opinion about by AC.

Our heat pump was running erratically and not cooling very well due to early hot weather 2 weeks ago. I called Indoor Comfort for the first time and talked to a pleasant man who explained they were working at a peak volume. Unless our unit was completely shut down they had to prioritize the service calls to emergencies first. It was fine, our unit was still cooling somewhat. Two days later we were scheduled and on that day got both a text message and phone call from the technician who gave me his approximate arrival time. Chris arrived and after a brief explanation he knew what the problem was. Very professional,courteous, and helpful. He did the repair checked out the unit and actually noticed another potential problem (covered by warranty) that we could get repaired in the future on our time. We decided to get the problem taken care of sooner than later. The part was ordered and we were pleased to get it replaced the next week without another service call charge. I cant remember the 2nd technician name but he was equally good. The professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge of these guys was exceptional. The service is very good about notifying you of the status of your service call. I love that.All in all this company is the best Ive seen in the comfort business.
When my ac broke I went out looking for a couple quotes. I ended up getting 4. I picked Annette Hale for a couple reasons and I’m glad I did. Scott did a very thourough appraisal, looking into all the nook and cranny to determine what was actually needed. He was quick but still more thorough then any of the others. He also gave me multiple price options which was nice. One of the other contractors made a statement about the sizing of my unit and I asked Scott from Annette Hale what he meant. Scott came back out to double check without being asked. He also took the time to walk me through what the other guy was saying. Really gave it that personal touch.The service/system offered was not as cheap as the one guy installer but they offered more. A better brand system as well as a better warranty. They were cheaper than two of the other quotes.The installer came in. They worked in the rain but put down tarps to keep the dirt and water contained. They made sure they were keeping things clean. They were friendly and they were finished by 2:30pm. They listened when I told them what I needed done and we went over the paper work. My only request would have been that the installers received notes on the setup before they started. It wasn’t hard to reexplain but I had to go through the setup with them as well.Overall I’m very happy.

Called for repair to the unit I bought from Hales, several years ago. I didnt even ask if the unit was still under warranty, much less if the company would honor it. When the tech, who was absolutely wonderful, gave me the repair estimate, he gave me the news that the parts were free and I would pay only for labor. When I called back later, with a problem that was simply my misunderstanding of how my thermostat works, my call was handled with friendliness and professionalism by both the customer service rep and the technician. Nobody treated me like a moron, even when it became clear that I was simply confused. A special thanks to Wesley Boyd, the fantastic tech who took exceptional care of my unit and me, even in the pouring rain. You guys get my highest recommendation!
I called this morning, Memorial Day, and they came out just two hours later. My initial call was returned about 15 minutes after I called their service. Other companies still havent called back. The service tech was very professional and easy to talk to. He knew what he was doing and I appreciate that he told me about coupons on Angies List and other possibilities that might save us money if I decide to replace the unit..
Top notch company. The initial quote was quick, easy, and not pushy like most companies. My sales rep Scott was easy to work with and kept me informed of everything going on. Never once did Scott try to upsell me on anything or try to persuade me to do business with them. The installers were professional and polite. I had 2, 2.5 ton heat pump units installed for around 9k which beat alot of other companies prices. I would highly recommend this company.
I called Annette Hale’s to get a service call. They came in a couple of days and diagnosed the air handler blower needing a start capacitor and replaced it. The unit ran, but didn’t put out a lot of air. After the tech left the blower quit. The next morning I called to report my problem and they told me the unit needed a new motor. They told me it would be $740 parts and labor. I said to proceed. After two days I checked on the status and they had not order the motor because I had not ordered it yet. I told them I had told someone to go ahead. After several back and forth phone calls and three weeks of waiting I told them to forget about it I would Perdue other options. That same day I ordered a motor online and received it in three days and I removed the old and installed the new in less than an hour. The motor cost $320. They called the day after I had completed the replacement they saying the motor had come in and when did I want the tech to install it. This was after I had told them four days prior I was tired of being jerked around and to cancel the order.

All I’m going to say is that if an HVAC company only warranties their repairs for 30 DAYS, that should be a huge red flag off the bat. Many repairs (even if performed completely incorrectly) won’t show up in 30 days.After buying a new house (and the sellers contracting Annette Hale’s ICS to perform the requested repairs) it’s been one headache after another. They first arrived to repair a unit that wouldn’t power up and was completely out of refrigerant. They charged the home sellers $1000 to “fix” the leak and recharge the unit.Next, after living in the house for 3 weeks the unit stops working again. And since the first repair was done two weeks before we moved in to the house, we were hit with the “We don’t warranty things past 30 days” line by Janice right off the bat. So I offered to pay the diagnostic fee, and they sent a guy out. Sure enough, it was indisputable that the first repair was done incorrectly. I mean how do you miss a leak so big that the unit leaks out 10 lbs of Freon in 5 weeks? So, Annette Hale’s ICS reluctantly had to cover the $1000 worth of new refrigerant and repair the leak again.Now, 3 months later, the unit is freezing up again. This time, I’m so frustrated that I don’t even call Annette Hale’s and instead I call another reputable company in town to do a diagnostic. This other company comes out, does a thorough review, and tells me point blank that they’re 99% sure the refrigerant is contaminated. That whoever did the previous repair either didn’t get a good vacuum pull of the system and let air into the system, or that the technician didn’t replace the drier filter on my indoor handling unit in the attic (which they didn’t because no one entered our attic on the previous repair). And they recommended that I call whoever did the previous work and notify them, because they felt like the work should be warrantied since it was their mistake.So, I call Annette Hale’s, and of course 3 words in and I’m hit with a defensive tone from Janice about “we don’t warranty work over 30 days” right off the bat. Then comes the service manager Sean, and he’s even worse. Condescending, defensive, angry, and refused to believe the refrigerant could be contaminated. He even tried to diagnose the problem over the phone because “he’s been doing this for 30 years”. So, even if I was to pay Annette Hale’s to come out and check on this unit, I had 0% faith that they would take responsibility for this just based on the tone from their service manager. All hope for a fair or honest opinion was gone as soon as I heard how defensive the service manager was. Even so, I don’t want these people to come out. They’ve messed up this unit two times in a row now, the service manager is obviously angry that I’m even trying to hold anyone accountable, so you couldn’t pay me to let them near my unit. I’m a reasonable and patient guy, but this situation was not handled correctly. I have no idea how Sean ever, ever got into customer service based positions with that attitude and tone.I’m sure that I won’t ever be reimbursed for the money I spent to fix this repair that was done incorrectly, but I will never give Annette Hale ICS another dime of my money. And you can believe that every friend, church member, and coworker will know about my experience. Not out of anger towards this company, but because I don’t want anybody else to go through the same problems and frustration I have.Customers don’t deserve to be spoken to condescendingly and defensively. I may not be an HVAC technician, but I’m not dumb and I don’t have the patience to deal with angry service reps. Especially when I’ve already been inconvenienced by the company not doing the job right the first time.Maybe this was just an anomaly. Based on the other reviews here, it looks like others have had positive experiences. However, I will never spend another dime here.
