I’ve been here since Dec 2020 and I absolutely love this place. The maintenance team is solid and prompt. The amenities have now opened up and the atmosphere here is buzzing again. The swimming pool is cleaned regularly and facilities are maintained extremely well.

This has been the perfect location, for me, to reside. The location, 3 minute walking distance to the beach & restaurants, is ideal. Additionally, the apartment is luxury and cozy, grounds kept immaculate, neighbors are cordial and the staff extremely helpful and attentive when needed; especially Logan. When I see Logan around the complex he always takes time out to ask how things are going. His concern is genuine and he strives to ensure residents are happy.Loving Life here at Pacific City

I love this community! We’ve been here for 3 months now and read several negative reviews before deciding to move here so I wanted to set the record straight. We’ve had no issues others have talked about. It’s an absolutely beautiful community with great staff and great residents. We haven’t had to use maintenance yet, but if their service is like the rest of the community, I’m sure it will be prompt and pleasant. The janitorial staff cleans all of the buildings and amenities at least once a week (based on how frequently we see them) and all of the grounds are well-maintained.

Love this place! I just moved in and its luxury resort living. Beautiful, clean, and the staff is wonderful.

Reese, our move in manager, was top notch and helped us make a smooth transition. If we ever had a question, she would be available 24/7. We’ve only been here a few weeks but love everything about living here- feels like resort living.

I would love to give this 5 stars but I can not. I have been here 14 months and because of Covid the amenities have been shut down more than 50% of the time here. With some things it has been more than 75%. They shut the gas off to the grills for a considerable amount of time. Currently they wont even turn on the gas to the firepit. Ok, Covid is not their fault, but beware that they take an extremely conservative approach to the amenities. What is in their control is rent increases. I am getting a substantial increase to my rent. Seems unconscionable to raise rent in these times, especially since I have not been able to enjoy the amenities to the extent I paid for. Very disappointed in UDR!!!

This is hands down the best apartment place and I am so happy that I moved in. This is a little high on my budget limit, but there was no way I could say no. It’s super close to the beach, everything is so nice and they maintain the place so well. I feel like I live in a resort. I toured 2 different UDR properties in Newport and Costa Mesa, and they’re definitely not on the same level. Especially the staff. Everything and everyone at Pacific City just feels so high end and so nice. I love my place so much!

5 star community. Common areas clean, safe. Every morning I’m greeted by the staff who are cleaning all common areas before 6 am. Close to beach, pool is excellent and not crowded. I know postings have commented on price, you pay for the high quality community. Great place to live!

The place is amazing with so much to appreciate. Its the ultimate destination for anyone looking for the best near the ocean! The senior sales person, Alex De La Cruz has been great to work with. He is very personable & flexible to help us to feel welcome. We are very excited to have this opportunity to live in a place where there is so much to enjoy & look for!!!

We’ve had a great experience with pacific city residents so far. Diana made the leasing process smooth and was so accommodating to our needs. We came back 3-4 times to see different places and she was always more than happy to help us find a place that felt like home. She was honest about the pros and cons of each unit and advised very objectively. We are looking forward to being residents here!

I love the building and living here, however, the management is horrible. They have oversold and under delivered consistently on every promise they made in the two and a half years Ive lived here. My single biggest problem is how they treat existing residents and handle lease renewals. My lease was supposed to be 16 months and after 12 I got a notice my rent was increasing 10% from what Id been paying. They never gave me a copy of the lease when I signed and had been charging me $100 per month more than the rate I was initially told. I sent several emails last year about these issues which were ignored. They admitted their error and I still had to argue for two weeks to get them to honor my original lease which was at the wrong price anyways. UDR has no interest in retaining residents and would rather sign new tenants at a lower annual price than keep current residents. They cant keep management around for more than a few months. The people working in the office have no control over anything constantly having to defer to corporate for answers. This typically takes several weeks while you sit around wondering if you need to find a new home.

Everyone was so friendly in the office. Alex was unbelievably patient showing us everything available. He was very informative and helpful which really made our decision easier. I highly recommend Alex! The amenities are beautiful. We are so excited to move in!

Beware: this apartment complex generates fake 5 star reviews. Look at the number of reviews the profiles are leaving. Most of the profiles have only left one review. Also, the people who have left 5 star reviews haven’t even moved into the complex. Very shady

I mean, how can you not fall in love with this complex simply given the location. That being said, The Residences at Pacific City couple great location with amazing amenities that are hard to find anywhere else. The facilities are pristine, the apartments are sleek and stylish, and the aesthetics of the surrounding grounds is very pleasing. Along with a great and accommodating staff, this is one of the best places you could move to. I’d highly recommend taking a visit and seeing all that there is to offer, you’d probably end up wanting to move in.

Great experience. Nice smooth process. I had come back to take a look at apartments 2 or 3 times over a couple weeks before deciding and Diana was great! very patient with me. All the office staff were friendly and helpful.

Alex was so kind and helpful in the entire leasing process! He helped me find the perfect fit. My roommate and I have lived here a couple weeks now, and we are loving the amenities (gym and pool are awesome!), the location, and all of our fun neighbors. Our dogs are very happy here, too. Happy to call this place home!

These residences are very nice! When you are inside, you feel like you are at a beach resort. We had a tour with Alex last week, he was very pleasant to be around and a complete professional. He was very patient and answered all of our questions while we looked at several different units around the property. I highly recommend anybody thinking about moving to Huntington beach to take a look at this property.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have lived here for 2 1/2 years! I cant say enough about the amazing staff from Alice, Lauren, Tamber, Reese, A.J. The list is huge. Even the service staff was amazing like Pietro, Ricardo, and Miguel. Believe me, they were EXTREMELY responsive and made our stay there EXCEPTIONAL. We always joked that we felt we were living at the Montage. Amazing amenities. Beautifully appointed apartments. Seriously! Go . . . NOW!

GREAT LOCATION!!! BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY!!! HELPFUL and FRIENDLY staff! What’s not to love about The Residences at Pacific City.... Nothing was spared in the construction of this property. It is very luxurious and state of the art. With our beautiful OC weather there’s amenities to enjoy year round. Being across the street from the beach and many bars and restaurants gives you many options for a night out or quick bite to eat. Thank you to the staff for all your hard work.

We walked in to The Residences at Pacific City to friendly faces and an inviting vibe. It’s clean and modern look and location already makes it a desirable place to live. Then we saw the amenities and knew that this is the place we wanted to be. We worked with Chey, she’s honestly the best, so friendly! She was more then helpful and accommodating to us. She made it so easy for us to make the best decision for our family.

Chey was very warm and inviting. She took the time to tour our group through the availabilities on three separate occasions and worked very hard to get everything in line for us to move in. We are very excited about the amenities both within the complex and directly outside with the shopping. Management does a great job being quick and responsive and respectful of our time. Overall great experience and Loki g forward to moving this weekend.

The amenities and location of this property are outstanding. The staff is very accommodating. Alex took us to numerous units allowing us to see the differences and to choose the one that fit us best. I do have to say the price is a little high. However, overall were looking forward to everything the property has to offer.

Diana was helpful and attentive throughout the leasing process. She assisted us in finding a unit that met all of our needs even informing us about units that were not yet listed but would be available soon. Diana made the entire process easy and painless.

Chey was great and showed us many different units and floor plans. She also gave us our own key for the day to tour the resident community areas and specific units on our own in order to get a real feel of how it would be like to live here. Seeing and experiencing the luxury amenities first hand was a great experience, but it was the pools outdoor theater 201 LED TV and 4800 sq. ft. fitness club, made my decision easy and I chose the 3-bedroom apartment with 1590 square feet, with big sunny windows, and great appliances. I am very excited and will be moving in this week. 5 star community with very supportive and friendly staff.

The entire process has been a breeze, and the leasing coordinator Tara McBride has been wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. Even though the apartment was spacious and modern, it was the amenities that tipped it over the edge. When you leave the apartment you are met with a sense of seclusion as you make your way through what appears to be a tropical village. As you leave the village behind, you are welcomed by a large pool and a dozen or so cabanas furnished with couches, a refrigerator and TV. Facing this, you can find a state-of-the-art gym that would rival most higher end gyms. The greatest benefit of this complex is the choice, the choice to either relax in your own resort or make you way to the bustling town of Huntigton beach.

The apartment is beautiful, but the management is beyond horrible. I have been trying to contact billing and property management to ensure that I have completed all requirements to move out at the conclusion of my lease and have not received replies for over a week. In fact, the front desk hung up on me while I expressed my frustration over lack of proper communication. I am so disappointed in this place I called home for a year.

Alex is a super great top manager. He is very kind and attentive, very knowledgeable and organized.First, he listened to us very carefully and thoroughly. Then he understood all of my words since I have a strong Korean accent and figured out the size of the room and rental fee and surrounding area, and all the conditions that we had mentioned. And he found out a perfect dream place right away exactly same as we described to him.He is so prompt. We were guided by him right away despite that he has quite amount of discomfort on his both knees due to his injury not too long ago. He is very calm and caring, and witted as well. It was such a joyful touring experience when we first checked in this place with Alex.Also Lauren, another employee in leasing office, she is super duper kind and sweet lady. She has amazing skills in dealing with different customers at the front desk. I saw her working with all her heart for her clients with a smiling face even if when she seemed that she was in terribly busy situation. I’m also an experienced witness of her kind and professional customer handling attitude as well. She is just an Angel. She does everything to help and assist clients who has so many inquiries and who need any kind of assistance in the Residences at pac city.Needless to say, the entire team and the whole environment are fantastic and lovely.I am so Excited to move in here in nearer future.Thank you for all of your wonderful service.

STAY AWAY. Dont be fooled by the superficial look of these apartments like I was. My apartment has now flooded twice (both with enough water damage where the apartment was unlivable). Water was literally pouring out of my kitchen light fixtures and down my walls. Apparently, no (zero) preventative measures were taken after the first flood. Preventative measures are now being discussed after the second flood but they warn that future flooding is still possible as the pipes only last a certain number of years (I don’t know what pipes they have, but their lifespan should be more than 2 years). STRIKE ONE. The fact that my apartment flooded during the stay-at-home order issued for this pandemic was bad enough but was made worse by the employees who entered my apartment and interacted with me without any PPE (reminder: during a pandemic!). STRIKE TWO. Ricardo Alcala (the director of all of UDRs HB properties) was careless and heartless. Aside from rushing repairs, he and his staff badly mishandled this situation. The same goes for Courtney Zamata -- more robot than resident relations manager -- because she only seems to spout UDR talking points. STRIKE THREE. (Special acknowledgment for the head of maintenance, who provides excellent care for the community). If I hadnt renewed my lease before my apartment flooded a second time, Id be gone in a heartbeat. The convenience marketed by UDR is an outright lie. What could be more inconvenient than having to temporarily move out of your apartment twice, once during a pandemic and stay-at-home order, and being exposed to 10 individuals (some without PPE) while trying to self-isolate? Anything would be better than this. Crossing my fingers my apartment doesnt flood a third time before my 12-month lease is up.

If you love the high end life style... this is your place. Lauren and Alex where amazing. (Lauren is the concierge and the sweetest person you will ever meet). Alex is the man of you want a professional tour. He makes you feel at home the moment you meet him. Couldn’t be more happy with our decision!

The fact that I signed the leasing contract by 3 in the afternoon that day speaks for itself. The whole process turned out to be enjoyable - something that I can rarely attest to - and never did I feel like I was rushed or pressured into anything. All questions I asked were met with clear replies. Our agent Alex was quite obviously knowledgeable on what seemed like every detail to do with the complex; in turn, making the whole process that much more comfortable. What I found especially helpful was his constant searching of lots that fit our comments regrading the one we were currently in. This meant that the tour wasnt planned beforehand, and rather, was shaped as the day progressed. This proved to be beneficial because the apartment I ended up deciding on was the last one he showed us, ultimately showing his ability to tailor our tour around our needs.

The Property is beautiful if you’re looking for a affordable beach retreat and home to live. You’re in walking distance from shops, restaurants, and most importantly the Beach! Chey and Alex worked with us and they’re awesome. The staff makes you feel welcomed and at home unlike many other properties we’ve lived in. What a great staff in the leasing office! Diana Zarza was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was extremely kind and patient with my family and myself and made the whole leasing process less daunting. Alex De La Cruz cant go without mention as well, he has a wonderfully warm welcoming presence (and also great butterscotch candy he generously shared with my daughter and I) We have looked at a few luxury residences in Huntington Beach and this community blows the others away! The grounds were so calm and peaceful and CLEAN, we felt like we were at The Four Seasons in Maui! So excited to wake up here every morning and know where Ill end my day.

We just signed our lease at Pacific City and we are so excited to move in! Everyone was so nice and helpful. Chey was the best taking the time to show us all of the amenities from pool to workout rooms right now do storage locations. We have 2 children and she picked the unit that was best suited for us and our family. The facility is like a resort and we can’t wait!

The tour was great and thorough. Alex at the Leasing office took the time to show me around even though they were right about to close for the day. The units and facilities are immaculate and the staff was very helpful in answering all my questions in person and over the phone.

I had a great experience going through the viewing and leasing process at The Residences at Pacific City. Deanna was there every step of the way to answer questions we had and show us each apartment that we were interested in. We ended up coming back 4-5 times to ensure we were leasing the apartment that felt right and Deanna was accommodating and patient with us each time. We cant wait to move in.

Hands down the best complex in OC! I have lived here for almost a year and they have made some management change about 6 month ago, that was so significant and have made such a difference. The people in the office are so much friendlier and put together. Everyone is so nice, the apartment is great, amenities are unbeatable and you cannot beat the location.

We walked for a drink across the street with our ladies and had a great time being able to come back to their place after. We also came for one of their events and the staff was super nice and organized. We totally want to move here now.

Probably the best complex I’ve ever lived in. They staff are very friendly and I can truly feel the difference between living here and another udr complex I lived in before. Very upscale and they take care of you. The place always looks amazing, except for the pool tv that’s sometimes broken. The people who work there deserve some praises. They look good, they’re always smiling, always trying to help and I always see the cleaning ladies day and night, very hardworking!!!!

Moved in June 2017 and it has gotten worse than better. The construction quality is poor, so I hear the foot steps of my upstairs neighbor, the elevator going up and down, and all of the rude, rowdy people, most of which are visitors yet are on the complex premises or across the street at Pacific City Shopping center where some bars stay open till 2 AM. While there are some nice professionals living here, they also have low income units which have brought in an undesirable tenant base that ignores the 2 guest limit and brings hordes of trashy visitors to the pool and other common areas.Security is lax, even through the complex is half complete they refuse to staff the main guard station and many people sneak in. I found two guys wandering around INSIDE my building asking me is there a restroom in here and other neighbors had strangers knocking on their door at night. I do not feel safe in the parking garage given the high crime rate in Huntington Beach and the number of homeless in the area. Wish I had stayed in Newport Beach.

Diana was so welcoming and helpful to us on a very busy Sunday afternoon. She didnt rush and answered all questions we had about the property. I would recommend anyone ask for her to help them thru the rental process.

Toured a few apartments yesterday at Pacific City and I am so glad that I did. I had already applied to a slightly cheaper apartment down the street in downtown HB but wanted to tour the residences at pacific city before I signed the lease just to rule it out. I assumed that they would be ridiculously expensive and cookie cutter apartment-like but I was blown away. Alex was very helpful, kind and patient while my dog and I toured the complex. I was there a couple of hours and ended up deciding on a two bedroom that was brand new, giant and has an ocean view common rooftop deck area. So excited to move here!

My experience with Lauren was absolutely wonderful. She completely held my mother and Is hand through the leasing application in the most easy way. The grounds are amazing and anyone would be incredibly lucky to live here.

Alex was very professional and dressed well. He made us feel like we belonged there! If you want the beach vibe with high end amenities then The Residences at Pacific City is the best Huntington Beach has to offer!

Moving across the county is very stressful - I’m moving from here from Indiana and I will say the team here helped make it so easy to take care of things while away. The lease and move-in process is organized with easy to follow directions and people to help with any questions. Not to mention it’s absolutely beautiful and they do everything they can to keep it that way!

After 8 months of the worst living experience of my life I feel the need to update my review so it will reflect the costumer experience I received.So here is my story :1. The original review was posted before I moved in and after I was offered $50 discount from the management for the yelp reviewPretty sure that’s not something they are supposed to do2. A couple of weeks after I moved in we started experiencing mosquitoes flies and other bugs throughout the entire unitAn average of 30to40 little creatures every day I had to vacuum them on daily basisAfter emails phone calls and videos with the leasing office the main solution I received was close the windows since there are no screens (hard to understand a solution like that from a high end community located next to the beach)3. The pool is amazing but very hard to enjoy since you have a lot of visitors every day and it is extremely overcrowded even though every tenant is allowed to bring only two guests this is hardly the case4. Parking wise you would be so lucky if you will not get your parking space blocked at the very least twice a week by unregistered guests5. My dog was accused of attacking another dog while my dog walker was walking her we did not receive any evidence of that only a letter demanding us to move out or to make sure our dog moves outThis is by far the most beautiful apartment complex I have ever seen or live in but also by far the worst living experience you can imagineThe management crew and leasing office are extremely unprofessional and can make a beautiful place unworthy of leaving atOur worst decision for 2018 was to move in while our best decision during 2018 was to move out.*TO SUMMARIZE BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN LOOKING INTO MOVING HERE IT LOOKS AMAZING BUT THE LIVING EXPERIENCE IS FAR FROM THE NICE POOL YOU SEE*

This is the most beautiful luxury residence Ive toured in Orange County. Diana Zarza really went above and beyond to find the perfect unit for me and my family. She was so kind to give us a second tour on the same day when I came back in the afternoon with my grandaughter to see if she would love it as much as I did. Weve been looking for over a month for a new home and Diana impressed me with her exceptional professionalism and knowledge of the grounds. Its refreshing to know that we will be living in a community with a great staff that seems to genuinely care about their residence. I cant leave out Alex De LaCruz, the Senior Development SalesAssociate, who is so SO kind and really made us feel comfortable throughout the leasing process. This was the worst living situation I’ve ever been in, and I advise any potential leasee to PLEASE READ THIS. To do anything and everything inside these residences, you require this tiny blue key fob that is incredibly easy to lose and costs over $200 to replace. So any single door within the community requires the use of that key to open. While I understand this promotes safety, it is a terrible hassle when you have people coming over and must keep going all the way outside your building to get each and every one of them. Not to mention that the amenities provided within(community grills, pool, tiny gym) are all very simple and can’t be used after 10 PM. If we are paying over $4000 a month, we don’t expect a “curfew” on the stuff we are paying to use. The amount of space in the apartment relative to the amount of money paid is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. Furthermore, this place has one of the worst leasing offices in existence. When you first meet them, they are too helpful/giving to get you to sign a lease. Once the lease is signed, the service they provide afterwards is absolutely terrible and close to no service at all. Probably the most disgusting thing, they barely mention a clause in the contract that claims every leasee must give a 2-month notice before moving out otherwise they charge you TWO EXTRA MONTHS RENT(around $8000+). This is definitely not a community for the people and is meant to finesse people’s money away with a manicured exterior and decor. Should you mess up in any minor way, the consequences are usually unnecessarily costly and absolutely no leeway or flexibility is given by the leasing office staff. Once the lease is signed, you slowly realize over time how mediocre this area actually is, and how little freedom you have to do the things you please(even after paying $4000 a month). It is an overall terrible living and customer service experience. If you are planning to sign a lease at The Residences or know someone that is, PLEASE CONSIDER THIS. I wouldn’t be coming here and writing this long of a review if I didn’t feel royally screwed by them after a year and a half of living there.

Alex was great to work with. Walked us through all of the different pricing options and pros/cons of different apartments. Looking forward to moving in at the end of this month.

Although this place looks pretty fancy pants it is completely obscene that a 1 bedroom starts at nearly $2,800.00 per month / $33,600 per year. Where the heck do the people who live here work???? Dude no wonder homeless live in tents lining the river bed within miles of this place. Applying the rule that rent should be 30% of take home pay, either every single person in here is extremely horrible at math OR the poorest person living here is taking home a minimum of $115,000 AFTER tax annually. Dont sell your soul and pay more than you can afford. Stopping spending your insecurities away...consider reading some Mr. Money Mustache to wake up.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Chey in the leasing office at The Residences at Pacific City. She is the sweetest! She made the leasing process very low-pressured and fun. Touring the apartments and community was a great experience. We love all of the community ammenities, craftsmanship of the apartments, and how the current residences immediately make you feel welcome. I CANNOT wait for our official move in date. After a very long housing search, I am confident we found the best place to live in Huntington Beach. After all, who can argue with luxury right on the beach?!

This place is so awesome I’ve never seen anything like this before amazing people amazing amenities and the units are ridiculous! The Leaseing office was totally helpful Alex was the agent that helped us and showed us around! If you want to live by the beach this is the place to be!

This place maybe is in a good OC location, good views, new, with all the latest technologies but is not fancier or the quality is not higher than other places. Then consider all the rules they have that seems like you are in a jail, micromanaging your lifestyle and choices and even worst, you have to pay at least 3,000 usd a month just to live there and not being yourself and the fact that is located in front of a shopping center and lots of units face towards the street imagine all the noise and activity you’ll have to deal with day an night......

Avoid the place at all costs. Crowded, noisy, customer support agents are worthless. Once you leave the place they will not only eat your entire deposit but charge you insane amounts of money for cleaning, repairs, etc. They took my USD 500 deposit and on top of that they charged me almost USD 700 in fees. On top of that the parking garage is not secure. From time to time there are thieves taking car wheels / rims, breaking car windows and taking personal belongings and the community would not do anything to help. Worst decision ever going to live in this place.

Just sold our home here in HB and cant wait to move into our new home! The facility is gorgeous, the staff has been amazing; Lauren, Chey, Maria, Alex all have been more than helpful! Looking forward to enjoying the incredible amenities, meeting new friends and making new memories!!!

Beautiful community, we had a great tour with Alex and Chey. The apartments are well appointed and the property is so tranquil, secure and inviting, just like a resort! Looking forward to our move in date!

I booked an appt today to check out the apartments, had no clue if it would be a good match for our family, thanks to Chey who went out of her way to stay late helping us. We were able to get approved in minutes and lock in our new home. Chey was very helpful and patient with us as we looked at a few options as well as helping us narrow down which unit. Thank you for making this experience easy, we can not wait to move in.
