This place is not bad, but you have to be careful about who does your nails. As I scroll the reviews I see negative comments about one nail technician who is consistently rude and unskilled. It makes me wonder why management hasn’t taken any corrective action or helped her hone her craft. If you provide a service to others, at the very least try to give them what they ask for, OR be honest if the customer requests a service you can’t provide, it’s really simple. My advice to any future customer is to be clear about how you want your nails to look and don’t back down. I have seen and experienced management, staff, and technicians disregard complaints and make customers feel bad for disliking the final product. They will allow you to pay your money for something you don’t like, so speak up and do not feel pressured to walk out dissatisfied.I have given 4 stars because they have technicians who are very good at what they do and deserve recognition. Kim, Tammy, and Teresa are a few that have been outstanding. Like any business, this one has its flaws, but the pros outweigh the cons and most of my experiences have been great. I hope this helps!

Great service and ambience! The only place I go to to get my nails done and Mindy does a great job every single time and takes her time. The atmosphere is always relaxing and everyone is nice. Definitely give this place a try !

I have been going to VIP nails next to HEB on west lake Houston and 1960 for at least 10 years.Whether I make an apt or come in as a walk in they are always so accommodating. The girls that work the front desk are good at letting you know if there is a wait time and ask if youd like to wait or if youd like to make an apt.I have had my nails done by every nail tech. They always listen to what Id like done and if they cant help they ask another tech ( ie a certain design on my nails).Everyone here is friendly, they work with you. If you have any concerns they are quick to address them.This nail salon is clean, the techs are professional and friendlyIf you are looking for a good nail experience look no further then Vip nails 🤗

Very disappointing pedi today. She was on her phone, they were all talking and laughing loudly, and not focused to the service. I understand they need to enjoy their job but not at the cost providing a spa experience. She also cut my service short to clean her station and get the customer in her chair. I have been a satisfied customer many times, however, I will try their many other competitors.

Would not recommend. Rude. Before I could get a word out I was told several times upon entering to wash my hands, go wash your hands, ok wash your hands. I felt like I was the most disgusting thing. Then once I washed I sat down and watch 4 other customers walk in and they were never told to wash their hands. Never. They were escorted to a seat and greeted in a friendly manner. Cindy did my nails. She was not friendly. Shes rude and aggressive. When she was done she told me to go to a table..I told her Im sorry Im new here and I dont know where this table is She just pointed in a direction like I can read her mind. I found my way myself. They all are even rude over the phone. Sounds like theyre screaming at the customers.A soft and kind voice can go a long way. Assert yourself when its necessary. Not at everyone walking or calling in. Will never ever come back to this place. Never!

Apparently one of two colors I used for every other toe was Shellac. I asked if that was extra and it wasnt then I was charged 18 for getting that one of 6 toes.... I paid for the vip but was done the same time as my friends who paid for a lesser time. I was hurt 3 times, and there was no massage just lots of rubbing. This was my first and last time there.

I went in for a pedi 4 days before my wedding, the tech made my toes bleed, and never apologized when I was vocalizing my pain. The day after (today) my toes are swollen and it hurts to walk.

Usually I have no issues as I usually get pedicures ...I recently decided to get the powder put on my own nails as its healthier ....they call it dip nails... I just went Saturday and Im not happy.....I have little tiny bubbles on my nails, she hurt my cuticles 2-3 times, and on a couple nails the dip is wider then my nails. For $40 I expect better then this!!! Guess its time to look else where as there are nail salons everywhere

Not a happy customer. I went in last Monday for a full-set I told Cindy I wanted very short and natural. My nails look like Elviras, they are thick and long - not what I wanted AT ALL. They didnt have the color I wanted, she was very persistent on trying to get me to pick a color I didnt like. It was just an unpleasant experience, which is a shame because this was my go to place.

My mother and I have been going here for at six years, we both get shelac by Bing and pedicures, we have always been satisfied.

They are #1 in my book! Always go the extra mile to make the customer happy. I showed up at 5:50 pm thinking they closed at 7pm, they still took me in even though I need a full set of nails. This is definitely my go to place now!!

Im a semi regular customer at VIP Nails. I usually have one lady do my eyebrows, mani, and pedis. Im never blown out of the water but she usually does a decent job. I went to get my nails done on Wednesday for a wedding on Saturday. I got a nude shellac, which I expected to last at least 14 days. By Friday (a day and a half later) it was already peeling. I called the salon and they asked me to take pictures and send them to the owner. A day later she calls and says that their policy is that I can come back in a get it fixed. I told her that I am not available to get it fixed because I am out of state for the event. Once I get back in town the event will be over. The owner stated there was nothing that could be done and that I was probably the one that ruined the nails. I know that I did not damage the nails, I have had them done many times. I would have liked better customer service and for something to have been done to offset the price of getting them fixed due to their mistake instead of being blamed. They definitely dont make you feel like a VIP

My wife went in and was told a price before they started on her and she was okay with it. Than after her feet were done, the owner decides to come over to my wife and tells her the rate is higher. Due to time and being rushed we had no choice but to stay and finish. If we had know this from the start we would have done things differently. Money is not the issue. The problem is after my wife was half way thru, dont tell my wife the price was incorrect. If you made the mistake, honor that price. Ive work in retail for many years and if I have made a mistake by giving a certain price than I will honor it or come up with a solution where the customer is happy and I am happy.

Came in at 6:23 was sat down for a pedicure water was cold, the nail tech walked off no massage water while I waited....nobody spoke to me till 6:55 only reason I didnt leave is because I needed my feet done an it was late in the day...bad service not worth the price

My wife got her nails done here last week and on three of her nails the polish chipped within 2 days. She setup an appointment to have them touched up and she waited 30 minutes and still never go seen. I would not recommend going here due to poor craftsmanship and customer service.

I have gone here a few times and this salon is amazing overall! Super nice staff and artists!!! Spectacular job on my nails everytime by far a favorite for sure. They sat me down fairly decent time usually, but this last time I went in (as a walk in), and they seemed pretty full I asked the girl at the front if they had time, and she said yes I would be next once a nail tech is finished with the customer they are with. People kept coming in, and she turned a few away and I guess she didnt actually check how busy they were going to be when I walked in, but still didnt say anything to me about it. Everyone was pretty busy with appointments. Then a nail tech gets done and gets up to then get ready for the customer she has an appointment with, and then another gets finished and a customer that just finished getting their pedicure asks how long the wait for their nails to be done, and the nail tech that just finished pulls her over to start doing her nails immediately. By this time I have almost wasted an hour of my time and the girl then tells me we are really busy it is gunna be a long wait can you come back at about 6 but has seen me sitting here forever now and the whole time is standing at the desk area right in front of me, but couldnt have made that more clear when I came in that I would have a long wait? She made it seem like I was next then after I have already been waiting says its gunna be a long wait. I typically never get on here and review, but I really felt this is something that should be addressed. I watched someone get upset over waiting 10 minutes and I waited 40 to 50 minutes to be told it is gunna be a long wait after she originally said I would be next. I am not here cause I think this salon is bad overall I really like it, and they are very good at their job, but I really think something like this should be addressed so it doesnt happen in the future to other people. Im only reviewing to better your customer service, I work in retail, I work in sales I know it can get crazy, but if you tell someone something you should do your best to keep your word for the integrity of your business. Call it constructive criticism, hope no hard feelings.

HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!! On Friday, August 19, 2016 my daughter and I went to VIP Nails. My daughter (16 years old) wanted a full set of nails and had a specific picture of a design she wanted. The first nail tech looked at the picture and stated she couldnt do the design. However, another nail tech Linda overheard the conversation and responded that she could do her nails in the design she requested. As the appointment continued I could tell by my daughters facial expressions something was clearly going wrong with the appointment. Once she was done my daughter walked to where I was sitting and stated she didnt like her nails, the design was NOT what she wanted, and when she asked Linda (the nail tech) to redo them she refused and had an attitude with her. When I went to the receptionist to pay for the nails I explained to her that my daughter was very unhappy about the customer service and the nails were not done as she had requested. The receptionist asked if my daughter had asked Linda to redo/fix the problem in which my daughter stated she asked but Linda was refusing to do them. The receptionist then called the owner of the salon and explained the situation to her. The owner then asked to speak with me. I re-explained the situation to her and advised her that something should be done to accommodate my daughter. The owner then asked to speak with Linda to have her redo/fix my daughters nails. Linda then comes over to my daughter and begins to raise her voice at her and stated that she did do the design like it was in the picture. She also states that the picture is lighter and her nails are darker due to the polish color. Linda also tells my daughter she didnt charge her full price because she knew that they didnt look like the picture. While this conversation is going on Im on the phone still with the owner who asks is that Linda in the background which I stated yes. She then asks what was she saying and to whom and I tell her that shes speaking to my daughter. All of this commotion is going on with a nail salon full of customers who are witnessing this. Linda then tries to fix my daughters nails by removing the polish but ends up messing them up totally!!!!! My daughter has black nail polish on her hands, there are smudges, and STILL NOT DONE CORRECTLY!! The owner states that the next time we come back she will have someone else do her nails and that this design my daughter wanted they are not trained to do this. My response to the owner was if Linda knew she couldnt do the design she should have said that from the beginning and we would have went somewhere else. The customer service we received from Linda was rude, unprofessional, disrespectful, and not worth the money I paid for us to be treated so poorly. I advised the owner we would NEVER return to this nail salon EVER AGAIN!!!

$35 deluxe pedicure included foot spa, exfoliation, cleaning, sugar scrub and hot stone massage of feet and legs, lotion, and hot towel wraps, plus polish. Choice of water, soft drink, coffee, or wine (todays offering was Franzia boxed chardonnay). Nieces acrylic refill, cut, reshape, and gel polish cost $35.50. No massage. (Was told only basic manicure, $15, included massage.) SNS did NOT feature nails dipped in water, NOR massage. Just polish removal (acetone-soaked cotton with plastic clips, instead of aluminum foil, so kudos on eco-friendly), cut for shorter length, gelous base polishes and dipping powders, nail shaping, and cuticle oil application. $40, but additional one-time fee of $5 to remove old polish color. Oh, and top coat was finished with two one-minute curing per hand under UV oven- strange! I mean, one reason people opt to pay more for SNS instead of gel mani is to avoid exposure to the UV oven!Niece had Mimi as her pedi tech and Cindy as her mani tech, for a total of $70.50. (My belated birthday present to her, and I tipped 20% to each tech, too.) I had Cathy for both deluxe pedi and SNS ($80).** When I requested for Cathy to have my right thumb nail reshaped for a straighter edge, she scoffed and said its real nail, like this was a ridiculous request. (She already had another customer waiting to take my seat.) Guess thats a no for straighter edges on a few other nails, then.No cleaning, no massages, an additional $5 for a fee that the cashier did not know I was charged for, had me wishing for better service and more transparency.**Had service been a lot better and included more of what other salons typically offer with their nail services (and Ive visited nail salons all over the east coast, in the Midwest, and in AZ), with more transparency), I wouldve tipped Cathy 20%, and I had even considered giving $20, but I did not receive proper cleaning, massage, and was scoffed at at the end of service, with her next customer standing behind me waiting for me to stand up. Shes lucky I tipped her $10!p.s. Cathy had earlier remarked, before she applied the acetone-soaked cotton balls on my nails, that whoever did my previous SNS did a great job! Yes. Yes he did.

My first time going there because a friend invite me,we left with a very unhappy nail job,i felt bad that my friend invite me and pay so much for both of us and they didnt do a good job,the lady that did my nails was nice but I didnt like how she did my nails and I told her medium size but she cut them to short and my friend toe nails wasnt clean good you can see nail polish all over the big toe!!!!!!!!,she had to go home and finish them after she pay all together $138 plus (Tip),I feel like taking them off but is to painful to do it @ home and put my but in a chair for 1 more hour to put them in acetone,no way,am sorry I dont have the time to be going back in there and then be talking and talking in there language about us,its rude,it is not a friendly environment,one of the lady in the front was talking very unprofessional to one of the workers there in front off every customer,with all that been said I am not going to this particular one,sorry but not a cheap place and no manners @@@@@ all 😏...

This salon used to be wonderful when they opened, now its just ridiculous. I came in a little before 12:30 and notified the not so friendly desk lady I wanted a pedi and full set of nails done when she asked. I then asked if she knew how long that would take or if there was a wait. Her response, while looking at the appointment book, was go ahead and pick out a color and they can take you now for a pedi then right after a manicure. Great! I have the pedicure done and am then moved to a manicure chair. After I explain to one lady what nails Im wanting she tells me just a second shes going to get the manicurist. As Im sitting there another customer I hear say she has an appointment with the girl whos chair Im sitting in. Front desk lady then tells her, as Im sitting two feet from them, yeah Ill have to try and move her. Mind you Im sitting right here, just ask and Ill move, but she does not. The customer comes over plops her purse on the table and says I need to sit there I have an appointment. I get up and as I do, front desk girl tells me to sit at another table and THAT manicurist would be up because theres only certain ones who can do a full set. So I sit and wait about 10 more minutes when a new manicurist comes up and says to me I need that table, I finally understand shes wanting me to move again. Ok, I go to stand up. As Im standing I ask front desk again how long does she think it will be, she goes and comes back and tells me 4 or 5 minutes because now everyones appointments are there. Shes the same who looked at her book and told me after the pedicure I would be doing the nails and it wouldnt be a problem. I finally get seated an hour and twenty minutes later only to find out it will take 45-an hour for that particular girl to do a full set, so I have to leave. It was so unorganized and not one person I saw even smiled, except the actual lady who did my pedicure. I had stopped going to this place a couple years ago when I learned if you werent one of their VIP (?) card members, then it was a basic luck of the draw as to what service you get. I wanted to try again and see if it had improved...not at all, Ill stick to the salon in Summerwood!! Very nice ladies there with wonderful customer service!

This place is expensive, but the service ia not good. My tech was very nonchalant did a poor job on my nails. They charge you $5 more depending on the polish you use. Will never use them again. Customer service goes a long way with me.
