I found that the best time to have a college math tutor was at the beginning of the term, before I thought I needed one. I received Mobile Math tutoring for 11 college classes: Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Introductory Physics, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Genetics, Neural Biology, Developmental Biology, and Statistics. I earned As and Bs in my classes thanks to 5 expert Mobile Math tutors.My Mobile Math tutors had a Ph. D. or M. S. degree in math or science. During my Differential Calculus and Integral Calculus classes, my professor would only skim over concepts. Mobile Math tutors helped my knowledge gaps. Additionally, my professor assigned difficult problems. My tutor taught me problem strategies.I had a Statistics class in which I was not allowed to use a programmable calculator – only use a basic scientific calculator. I had to do difficult calculations by hand such as the chi-squared test and standard deviation. My Mobile Math tutor taught me the standard deviation function on the calculator which no one else in class knew. I used this to verify responses on tests. My tutor helped me find faster ways to finish problems. My tests were timed, so I needed to do problems quickly.Introductory Physics class had difficult weekly problems that were worth a large percent of my grade. I asked my Mobile Math tutor for help on those and understanding materials in my physics class. During our session I compared my answers to what he had worked through in advance. The physics class TAs were not usually helpful and would give only hints but would never walk us through it completely. It was immensely helpful having a college physics tutor.Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cellular Biology were all difficult. My Mobile Math tutor helped me with all questions. He researched articles related to my questions. He had an M. S. degree in Biology and ample experience. My science classes were especially difficult for me because I did not know basic terminology. Naming proteins, compounds, foundational molecular processes, and experimental methods did not come easily to me. My tutor helped me with western, northern, and southern blot. He helped me with memorizing the steps in those procedures and told me how long they take. He did those tests professionally in his fulltime lab job.I requested the help from Mobile Math for a Biology tutor for Genetics, Neural Biology, and Development classes. The tutor was helpful and well prepared every session, as my previous Mobile Math Biology tutor was. I sent her my questions in advance and she thoroughly answered each question. If I were still confused, she would find additional resources to help me understand the concepts. She also helped me save time because I did not have to do all of the research to answer some questions. I had many time-consuming assignments and readings during the school year so it was immensely helpful to hand off some of the work to my Biology tutor so that she could guide me step-by-step. It was also reassuring to have an expert and experienced tutor to answer my questions. My Mobile Math tutor has experience working in the lab, making experiments, doing experiments, and writing research papers. While I was making Biology experiments, she gave me some information about forming experiments that one cannot easily find through online sources.Mobile Math is an excellent college tutoring company. For each course, I had college math or science experts in the area that I could call on at any time. I especially liked the free introductory session where I interviewed the tutor before committing to working with them. I chose the best tutor for my needs. My Mobile Math college tutors always kept me ahead of the class and on top of all the assignments and lectures. It was great that all the tutors came with advanced degrees.
