They only filled 3 of my new tires... Last one was at 18psi. Glad it did not pop off the rim on my way home. Additionally, they only fastened 1/6 of the hub caps screws on each tire. On the bright side they were nice to work with.Not sure if it was related but my cruise control is no longer working... It is a old truck so I wont hold that one against them till I figure out the cause.Moral of the story is double check their work
Wouldnt know how the actual service is but at 0740 while waiting for them to open the technician Lucy door dinged my car with someone elses light blue Toyota Camry. She didnt even park in an appropriate spot, she parked all the way to the left in a fire lane. Probably a good sign not to get service there, my tire probably would have flown off on the freeway.

The guys at the Pep Boys are like my extended family. Over the last 10 years they provided reliable and quality service for my cars. They will tell you in advance how much it will cost and how long it will take. If you live close by- they will drop you off. But please, respect their time and schedule and talk to them in advance (unless it’s an emergency).

ONE THE WORST CAR SERVICE EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE!!! Took my car in to have the radiator, fan and thermostat replaced. After this work was done, my hood latch was stuck and wouldnt open. They totally denied any wrongdoing (despite having worked directly in that area) I had to bring my car back to them three times to get that hood open. A week later, the car began overheating. Turned out that they never put any coolant in it. When I brought it back again, they denied this too. Then claim they were going to get to the bottom of the problem and test drive it. Not once did they ever call me to tell me any work was done during any of these instances, I had to keep pestering them and calling them and staying on top of them because they are so poor with their communication. They never once test drove it, my odometer showed the same reading when I picked it up after they claimed they test drove it and couldnt get it to overheat. They knew they made a total mistake repairing my coolant system but they were trying to deny that along with the hood damage. They kept telling me that the head gasket needed to be replaced. but it turned out that was a lie I had it checked out at another mechanic and it was just fine. I went ahead and checked to see if they replaced the thermostat and this is what I found (see pics) The gasket was improperly installed by this pep boys and causing excessive leakage into the engine block. If you bring your car to these people, the vehicle will leave in worse condition than it was when you brought it. Be warned, one of the worst car service experiences of my life!
Got two tires from them and one was continuously leaky. took it back and they couldnt find a leak said it was fine. it was not fine, my tire just blew out. it was low on air no matter how often I filled it up so theres not much I could do to avoid it. obviously they messed up putting the valve stem in. wish I could sue these ***holes
I bought the 3 year allingment package. In the past 6 weeks Ive taken my truck to this location 3 times and yet, it still pulls left. The steering wheel points at 2 oclock. So after 2 times, I was asked to bring it by when their best technician was available, apparently he wasnt able to get it done either. This is after showing up on a Sunday morning to give them all day to get it done, and them asking me to come back another day when the expert was in.. The sad thing is.... wouldnt you trust all your technicians to be able to do a simple alignment. I run a business also.. If I have a customer come back 3 times..... best believe I would have fixed the problem the second time.
Don at Pep Boys was awesome. There is a reason I drive all the way from Fort Worth to have my car serviced here. Dons professionalism, knowledge, and candor are second to none. It is hard to find a reliable and trustworthy mechanic, so I am thankful to have found a place I can depend on.
Had one of the best experiences at this location with the manager by the name of Don. He provided me with such excellent customer service and went out of his way to meet my needs when other locations didn’t attempt to go out of their way to help me. Excellent experience! If I could leave zero stars I would. I purchased new tires so I took my vehicle to Pepboys on Greenbriar to get a 4 wheel alignment. When I left my alignment was worse than took the vehicle in. I went back to have it fixed and this time when I left my steering wheel was at the 3 o’clock position. The tech gave me some story I needed new bushings. When I got into the vehicle to leave the steering wheel alignment sensor was on. Tech told me he didn’t have any idea how to turn it off. They wanted to send me to another Pepboys location where they had “an experienced technician”. I took my vehicle to Southwest Alignment and within 1 hour my alignment was perfect. Pepboys on Greenbriar couldn’t reset my alignment sensor so I took my vehicle to yet another shop where they reset my sensor within 5 minutes. I went back to Pepboys on Greenbriar for my refund and the same person who had been helping me all along didn’t even know how to do a refund so I had to wait 20 minutes while he called someone to walk him through the process. Stay away from this place.
The initial customer service once i was seen could have been better. But the servicing time once my vehicle was pulled into bay was quick. There was one tech who did alignments at the greenbriar location and he was amazing. Mr. Kip. I plan to bring my vehicle back here for future work if needed. Overall take your vehicle here. Good choice

After leaving river oaks chrysler for telling me one price over the phone but another when I arrived I called pep boys. They gave me the price for the battery I headed over and was out in 30 mins( if that). The manager Don was a great help and had wonderful customer service. The technician Brady was fast and polite. This means to me organization brings about accumulation, then wealth.... Meaning they will get the job done in a reasonable amount of time if not they will let you know how much money you will need. Then your on your way.

This location is great! I have been coming here for years for routine maintenance and emergencies. Don (manager) is very professional and lets me know exactly what needs to be done. The employees all do good work. For example, I came in with a broken side mirror and a replacement part I bought online. Nick changed it for free and was super quick. I will definitely continue to come here in the future.
I brought in four tires to be mounted on my car. I was the only customer in the shop at about 6pm, and after I gave my keys to the tech, I walked by the service window a few times, and saw my car in the bay, but not on the lift. I saw the tire tech inside my car, sitting and doing something on his phone for quite some time. After about 25-30 minutes after turning over my keys, the tire tech came to me and asked for my wheel lock key. I asked him why it took so long for him to get my car on the lift and realize he needed my wheel lock key. He struggled to give me an answer and had an excuse about some tool he was looking for.Later after the tires were mounted, I paid my bill and drove off. The car rode very poorly, every crack on the road caused a big thud, and something seemed wrong. After I got home i decided to check the tire pressures, thinking that they might have been overinflated some. When I connected my tire pressure gauge, the gauge shot out all the way to the end, and exploded. I own a car parts business, and in owning my business for 21 years, I have never seen a tire pressure gauge explode.I got another tire pressure gauge, and checked, and every tire had somewhere over 60 psi. It could have been 70, it could have been 80, or even 90 psi, who knows, my gauge maxed out at 60 psi.Anyways, this was a real hazard because my tires could have overheated, and exploded if I had driven much further.I contacted the manager who said that the tires have to be inflated with a lot of pressure to put the tire on the wheel. They are supposed to lower the pressure after the tires are mounted, but obviously the tire tech didnt do that. If this had happened to my mother, or my wife, they could have had a blow out on the freeway.
I dont want to be too harsh because I was there on a Sunday and there were other customers there. I was there to have a tire repaired as was the customer before me. It was taking them forever to repair his tire. Its a job that shouldnt have taken longer than 10 or 15 minutes and I was there waiting at least half an hour.I wanted to add that I received a response from Pep Boys apologizing for the bad experience and I started feeling bad about what I wrote in my review. They were fairly busy since they are one of the few auto repair places open on Sunday and I appreciate that they were open. I just felt for a simply flat tire repair it was way too long. Ive had a lot of flats fixed before and fixed them myself. Maybe the mechanic was new or maybe there were issues Im not aware of. But the service manager was very nice and was doing what he could to get me out of there. I certainly didnt have a bad experience and I would probably go there again.

BEWARE! WORST SERVICE! I came on a clean car, I had a complete premium car wash a day before visit. I came to pep boys service to change tires and my rims were scratched and smeared after work was done. When I complained about dirty rims, cashier advised me go to closest car wash. And as a bonus they put extra air pressure in one tire. Never again!
A mistake was made during my oil change - nothing worth writing a nasty review over. The reason for this review is that when I mentioned it to the manager, he made it right. Because of the mistake, I wouldnt have gone back, but this business accepted the chance to keep me as a customer and took my report seriously and now I wont trust my car (or the next one) with anyone else. As a customer, Im reminded by this business to not only be compassionate to folks who may make a mistake, but to also give people a chance to make it right. Brady was awesome. He and his team worked together to replace a blown out tire that no one else could get off the wheel due to it being a run flat tire. His team took special care not to damage my aftermarket wheels. I can’t appreciate these guys enough taking care of my issue in the midst of my family emergency. They worked diligently and the waiting area was cozy enough to doze off in a nap. My family will be using pep boys from now on. Thanks a million.

Had bad experience with the customer service but Kevin helped a lot during my personal visit to the store. His approach was cool and supportive as we had a long call with customer service in front of him without any fruitful result. He understood that we drove there from Groves just to get our tires fixed. Customer service didnt do their job but definitely Kevin did.
Found that Pep Boys was the only place that carried the tires I wanted and decided to give them a try. from their site I made an order for four tires, installation (mounting, balance, TPMS Service, Vehicle Inspection), Wheel Alignment and Road Hazard and scheduled an appointment.Appointment day and the tires had not been delivered from the local warehouse so I had to reschedule for the next day. Next day I called to check on the tires before I went in and was told I would receive a call when they arrived. At 2:30 pm I was told the tires were in, when I arrived they promptly took my keys and began work on the vehicle. When approached by an employee 45 minutes later (4:15) I was told the vehicle was ready. A bit skeptical about the rush, I approached the counter. I was greeted and was told my total. Hoping to get more information about the services, I asked if the alignment was needed since their site said they provided a courtesy alignment check and vehicle inspection. He replied that no wheel alignment was done, knowing the total from my online order I was shocked that I was being charged for one. So I asked if they could complete what I was paying for, just to be told that the alignment tech was off till Saturday. Additionally he could not remove the alignment charge from my order so I would need to return. What? He made comments on the receipt that the service was still owed. Frustrated and having no other choice I paid and left. On my way home I noticed the TPMS light was on so I pulled over to check and all four tires had significantly different PSI readings, none which matched my manufacturers recommendation. No alignment, no TPMS service, bad installation and no vehicle inspection I was left feeling that all they did is mount the tires. Complete lack of customer service, attention to detail and schedule mishaps lead me to write and email to their corp email. They replied that within 48 hours I would get a call from upper management. Today (6 days later) I received a call from Don who left a voicemail. Having already gone for an alignment and re-installation somewhere else, I expect Don to refund the total amount for services or lack there of!
I took my truck their because I had a small oil leak when I picked up they said that the oil leak was fixed but it wasnt. I dont know how they verified that it was fixed but all I did was park in a clean spot and leave it for a while and the oil was still leaking. They had me bring it back 3 more times and each time they said that it was fixed. My truck is still leaking oil. I have paid almost $1000 and I had to take my truck there a total of 4 times and it is still not fixed.

Their services are a little bit on the high side. And I do feel from time to time I am so services that I might not need immediately. However the premium paid I believe is worth it for the quality of work. This comes from a consumer that is taking their vehicle to repair shops for over 30 years

The staff here is wonderful especially Brady. Every time I have a scheduled appointment he is always so prompt in communication. They are usually slammed busy because of its location. Some days the wait is long even with an appointment but it is worth it because they do an excellent job.
Great customer service. Don was the first one to ever tell me why I kept getting flats. I was getting frustrated about it. Also jiffy lube had put locking lug nuts on one of my tires (who knows why?) & they were able to help me out. I will be back to get my car serviced and get my oil changes for now on.

The employees were great and straightforward. I got a new set of tires put on my car. They also replaced my oil drain plug. I already knew I was leaking a little oil from the plug, but I was just watching my levels until I could get it replaced. I hadnt even mentioned it to them, but they found it and even showed me the leak before doing anything. They seemed pretty honest and the prices were fair. Ill be going back here.

I had a Chevy S10 that I brought in to get fixed on April. The engine needed to be replaced and so I knew it would cost some money but I trusted good work would be done especially when l was paying over 2000 dollars in repairs. Well I had to wait for a month for the truck to be fixed and when I picked it up the gas tank was almost empty. I made it less than a mile and had to push the truck into the gas station. At least put in a gallon. I had informed them that I would be driving the truck to Florida and to please check that everything was alright in the truck. Well apparently the radiator was rusted through and I was told they had replaced it. So to my dismay and surprise that after waiting a month and spending over 2000 dollars that my truck broke down in Alabama at night and spent the night on the side of I10 until state trooper drove me to a gas station the following morning because my engine had overheated. After which it was towed to another Pep boys in Alabama and waited another month (the manager quit) for another engine and radiator. Worse service I ever received and definitely not worth the money. Do not get service here, stay away.

Great service by Nick. I had an A/C motor blower and resistor replaced and Nick performed an excellent job in a timely manner and made sure I had the right parts.
They gave me a verbal estimate of nearly $700 for a repair, with $300 of that cost being for labor. I asked them to hold off so I could do some research and get other estimates. The internet said it shouldnt cost more than $300 including labor, and the repair is simple and takes less than 15 minutes. When I called back and asked them to email me the estimate breakdown in writing, they claimed the computer accidentally deleted the estimate, and they gave me a new estimate of $500. They did a good job as far as I can tell, but if I wasnt in a hurry to get the repair Im sure I could have gotten a better deal somewhere else.Scam city, go somewhere else.

Absolutely awful! Totally ripped me off. Also caused me to be 3 days late on my road trip. That cost me quite a bit of money and hotel fees. They only reimbursed me a quarter of the labor that they did when they ripped me off. They actually took my axle off that did not need to be replaced with a ball-peen hammer. I went in just for a road ready regular check up oil change and tire rotation. $1,400 and 4 days later I was up to my eyeballs and stuff that was not necessary come to find out and was not done by licensed mechanics. I trusted what they were saying and doing and I was put on the road twice with my truck falling apart. I couldnt even make it to my house when I left on the second day. The axle was falling off and I could feel that when going on the freeway so I had to go all the way around the loop and call my husband and my best friend to come get me back at the Pep Boys location. Since then I have come in contact with several other people that have had terrible experiences at that particular Pep Boys and many more that have had horrible experiences at other Pep Boys locations theyre around town in Houston Texas. It was one thing two waste my time, do repairs that did not need to take place, put me on the road when it was not safe with that vehicle, cause me to miss several hotel reservations that were non-refundable but to not even give me an 8th of the money back that I spent there due to their negligence. That was the real kicker I tell you when they only offered $74 back. They had the actual audacity to tell me that they were responding the entire labor amount to me for the days that I was there that were unnecessary which were three whole days. The first day I could let go but three whole days. You and I both know that three whole days of Labor did not add up to $74. What a rip off.

I came here to see what the fuse was all about. I walked in and wasnt greeted, in fact I stood at the front desk for 10 minutes waiting for someone. There was a worker right at the door working at the tire station (Don). I could see him, not sure how he couldnt see me. I finally open the door to be greeting very professionally by Don(mad respect) for that, but dude made me wait again before he actually came to the front desk. At first he wouldnt even leave the tire station, I had to advise or make conversation with him so that he would look if there were a time slot to be booked for a oil change. He came over finally and booked me for 3pm today, now was that so hard. The guy could have easy been really focused on that tire and could uave easy not have saw me walk in. Now the part where I had to advise him to look into his system to book me an appointment is beyond me. Was he just that business that he was anout to turn down business? Great job PeP Boys

Brilliant place and the service Ive had from Brady has been excellent!First time I went here was because my battery was dead and they were open late. I arrived 5 mins before closing so they had it replaced the next morning.Second time was this morning - I had a screw stuck in a tire so it was losing air gradually. I went in, told Brady what the problem was, started to explain that its a company car so he needs the fleet details etc. and he said dont worry about that, fixed it in 10 mins and told me to have a great day.Ive already called my boyfriend to tell him to come here in future and will recommend to others too.

Screw these guys! Went in for a right headlight change. They suggested I also needed a drive belt change (even though according to the user’s manual, that needs replacement at a much higher mileage) and front brake change. After 4 times of going back to the shop with a minimum of 2 hours of wait each time, and spending $700+ on things that probably didn’t need change, I’m left with squealing brakes on “new” pads and rotors. F*** your service! Will never come back to you ever again! If I need my headlight changed, do just that!

Worst Customer Service Ever !!! The Manager is very unprofessional and has a CROOK mindset. I was called at 3:30pm and advised my car was finished, upon checking my car at 5:00pm it still wasnt completed. I stood around as the manager and the tech bang into the hood of my car in the parking lot. At 5:15pm I had given up on them putting the belt on properly and had to leave. I had already paid for the work and I will be asking for a refund. Word to the wise, check your car before you pay or dont take your car here at all.
STEER CLEAR!!!! I went in for a oil change ... Just an oil change and they proceeded to take almost 2 hours after I had scheduled the appointment online. Then when they finally finished they told me they notified the state that the place I got inspection done had given me an illegal inspection for my tail light not being attached to the car and one of my wheels was missing a lug nut. The tail light was just replaced and works fine and is on there so well that a hurricane wouldnt take it off. Now on to the best part... I looked to see if the lug nut was missing (because I know I would have noticed it before having just washed my car the evening before by hand and shined my tires) The lug nut and the wheel stud is gone!!! The tech at Pep boys broke it clean off!!! Then tried to blame it on the inspection place saying they over looked it and passed me on inspection! The nerve of those people. So please steer clear and just find another place to change your oil. I have written to their corporate office and I am waiting to hear back.
Came in to get my front tires replaced and for new windshield wiper blades. I told them I was in a time crunch, so they were able to get me in and out in about an hour. I mentioned that I didnt want to pay to have the tires rotated, but they did it anyways and didnt even charge me.Matthew was courteous and answered all my questions. Thanks!
I called and was told it would take about 30 to 45 mins to get an oil change and be on my way. However, when I got there (two minutes later), I was told it would be at least 45 mins to an hour before they even got to my car.
Had a nail in the wheel so we went there. Such a nice place! The employees was very nice and did not charged us! Would come back!

This is the worst Pep Boys in Houston! Ive always been a loyal customer to Pep Boys for the last 10 years! I recommend going to Christian Brothers where they will get the job done with no hesitation!
Brady helped me out and everything turned out great. I had a tire that was leaking air. Brady fixed the leak in less than a half hour (even though I came in without an appointment). Months later have had no issue with tire.
Great service. Ive gone to Pep Boys twice now. Theyve helped me out with tire patches and oil changes. They come in quite a bit cheaper than other shops Ive been to in Houston.
