Towed my truck illegally out of my paid parking spot in the early morning..these people are theifs. I pay for parking at 6500 west 43rd..these people have been known to steal vehicles. I will be looking into legal action. I have my parking contract and they illegal towed my vehicle!

Helpful staff. The woman at the window allowed us to push our car out and park it in the lot jnfront of them and work on it most of the day. A gentleman also helped us push the car. Thank you guys!!

Joe Rosales tdlr 16260 stole my car from the Vintage Apartments parking lot on 43rd Street at 6500 West 43rd Houston TX 77092. I had a parking permit plainly shown in my car which he took off and broke and stuck in my glove compartment. I have it now. I was charged $240.18 to get my car back within several hours. Poppies auto storage at 5710 Campbell Houston Texas 77041 is working in conjunction with them to defraud people of their money. This is auto theft. I am making a auto theft complaint to the Houston Police right now.

When I called and asked them if I could come and get my car after it had been towed, the guy over the phone lied to me and said to come at 8pm. Luckily I looked on google and saw they closed at 5pm. When I tried to call again to confirm when they closed, they hung up or didn’t speak every time I called

Zero stars not available. Towed our car without any notice from an apartment complex. Didnt even care to ask the apartment manager for it as we were staying in there for the past 5 months. No courtesy to put back our car either even we were not at fault. And our car was towed 25 miles away even though there were near by towing agents.

Poppy Auto Storage appears to lack pride in their own property, so dont be surprised when you find new scratches on your car or instances where its literally parked against and touching another car (there are pictures).Be sure to sign the consent form to release your car to the insurance company! These people will not inform or remind you to do so, luckily my insurance company looks after me.An employee actually suggested that I record the conversations I had with them due to the inconsistent information given by various employees as I made multiple attempts to collect my possessions from the car based on misinformation from ignorant employees. They are by NO MEANS 24/7 as they ONLY INTAKE 24/7. I do in fact recommend recording phones conversations, as they suggest, so that you can prove you were misinformed about hours and when you arrive and arent allowed to pick up your car and/or possessions. Of course, this doesnt mean they wont continue to inform that you are SOL and that the manager, Mia, is unavailable to help mediate.Expect it to take an hour or more while youre here. I had to ask the washed out fork lift driver to pull my car out so that I could open the doors since they pack the cars in so tightly. Although it took a good thirty minutes to move two cars out of the way before he finally reached mine, it was not without entertainment. Watching the other cars be dragged through the mud and bashed into the other parked cars since the spacing was so tight was really humbling in light of the situation.Lastly, be sure to bring some mud boots and towels. Dont wear anything nice because its as if the morning dew was enough to make this place look like the mud wrestling pit at the Renaissance Fair.

My daughters vehicle was towed from her friends apartment complex, when I called to get information to where it was towed to and how much it would be, no one ever answered the phone. Continued to call throughout the day to finally get Johnny who answered and was completely rude on the phone. When my daughter got there to pick up the vehicle, he gave her a very hard time with needing Auto ID Card which was not mentioned in our first conversation. She tried to show him a picture and a electronic copy of her ID Card and he said they only take hard copies or it can be emailed to him, which again made no sense. (same thing) She tried paying with half cash and half credit card and was told they dont allow that, then when they told them to then put it all in her friends card, was told again that they didnt allow that because it had to be with her name since its her vehicle. Seems as they were making up rules as they go. She could get vehicle out of storage even though she is not the register owner of vehicle but she couldnt pay with her friends credit card that was there with her or show electronic insurance card. I even called as she was there and spoke to Johnny who was again very rude and short as I asked him for their email address to send Insurance card. Finally received vehicle and when asked about the scratches on the back bumper that was not there before, was told that it is how they picked it up. Very rude and unprofessional especially after paying an extremely high price of $210 for only towing it less then 10 miles.

They really are not responsible for damage to your car they work inside not out in the yard. This review may change which is the reason for my 3 star rating. My vehicle was taken here after my accident which left it unable to drive on 11/21/17. Today 11/22/17 i went to get some personal belongings which my wife had left behind when loading our other vehicle with our possessions. Upon arrival the place did look sketchy and rundown and i had read past reviews on this location about theft and other damages so i came with that in mind. I arrived at the window and was greeted promptly. I told them what i needed and gave them my DL. I went back and found my vehicle, keep in mind this is a STORAGE so tight spaces are expected. I received all of my possessions at this time with no issues, i also received the paperwork i needed for my insurance company with no questions. I was treated with respect and had no issues with customer service. I will update this once my insurance company has done their estimate and i have seen the vehicle outside of the storage.Edit: i never came back to this review after finalizing with my insurance. All in all the vehicle was a total loss. Even with that in mind this establishment gave me no issues as far as customer service went. Again, keep in mind this is a auto storage lot so its not meant to be a “car show” environment and nothing here is pristine. Overall a good experience. Come to the establishment giving the same respect you want in return and you will have no issues.

Absolutely most incredibly horrifying customer service I have ever experienced. They are unclear about prices in releasing your vehicle, so you will end up paying more than other places. They don’t know what a copy of a policy from your insurance is, so the process of releasing your vehicle delays since they do not have the ability to read. If you ask them to hire you a tow truck their “referral” onto towing your vehicle will never show up.

Unprofessional very rude and ugly personalities! They were outside smoking saw me pull up and did not come to the window. You cant see the window from the outside I HELLO and he said I been here waiting for you!!! Stole from my vehicle! And all compartments in my truck were open like they were looking for something!!! They need better management!!!

This place makes picking up your vehicle so complicated. They do not give you all information you need. They don’t clarify anything. We went there and had to make 3 different trips. Not sure why they can’t accept an electronic copy of insureance when the sheriff’s can. If someone is picking up the car with the owner, the owner can’t even pay for the fee. Whoever is getting the car out has to pay. The biggest complaint is they left the dome lights on and then charged me $25 for a jump. After paying almost $300 to get it out of tow a courtesy jump would have been nice since it was there fault. This is not the only complaint I will be making.

Saw this one guy steal his car back...it was hilarious...meanwhile I had to pay 400 to get mine back after being stolen. Otherwise I hate tow truck drivers and storage lots because there job consists of throwing curveballs at people who aint ready for it

1/5/19...Rude people with terrible customer service. Would not even let me get my prescription sunglasses, my garage door opener or my toll tag from my totaled car. They would not answer their 24/7 phone number either so I could have asked if I could get my personal things before making a 2 hour round trip drive. They told me I had to wait until the insurance company took possession & then be there when the insurance companys wrecker driver is going to pick up my car. What?! This is MY car & I am not allowed to my retrieve personal items is a farce.

The towers are super rude. I literally heard my car screeching and cracking and it was obviously put wrong on the tow and they sat there and said they have been doing this for 5 years. They only know how to scam people out of money. Anyone can tell that it was put on their wrong. Im pretty sure they have someone scout out cars for them so they can make a quick buck because there was a car parked in the complex just driving around and as soon as they got there the car was gone. Beware!

Went about two weeks ago sister in law was in car accident just went to get dome stuff out of the car and take pictures for insurance. Arrived 30 mins before closing waited for two couples infront of us. Guy said we could see car even though insurance was in her name. Said they closed at 5pm and that we would find car fast enough even though we will had 17 mins before closing told us we had to come back next day between 9-4 couldnt even get baby stuff horrible customer service and very rude

Came today to try and get my vehicle and this place is completely trash from the place to the employees. Seems like at home they never received a good education. Very unprofessional people don’t know how can they be running a business like this. Everything is negative about this place.

Had my rental towed from my daughters apartment. Gave them what they asked for, and they still didn’t want to give me my car. Very unprofessional, had to call the police to get my car. What they fail to realize you never know who people are, and who they know.

Unlawful and horrible experience. If ever your vehicles gets towed here, make sure you check with DMV to make sure your name is on the title because they will not thoroughly check their system. I paid extra unnecessary money due to their mistake. Fortunately I can get this info at my job which otherwise would have cost us even more money. Management is unprofessional and has no empathy for persons sincerely attempting to get their vehicles. Regardless of who work for you, you should NEVER be partial if your employees has made mistakes. Do the right thing. Treat others as you want to be treated and from this, comes blessings! I will also work on my part in not assuming the worse because someone has made an error as we all make them.

So after receiving my car back after less than 10 hours in their possession I had money missing from inside the car along with electronics. I have filed a police report with the office who searched the car before it was towed by masters towing. The officer said he remembered all the stuff in the car in the spots they were in before it left. The car was also covered in mud on the inside and was left unlocked with the keys inside. I will be taking them to court at this point for my stolen property so I would suggest anyone else that has so much of a penny taken while in their care to speak up. Also they were rude and almost impossible to deal with.. Im dealing with Jersey village police on this matter.

Awful customer service, they talk to to through a window, Their sign says that they are open 24 hours and that you can get your car within the hour..Thats BS..Theyre a total rip off!!!! My car was only in their storage less than 8hours, and I had to pay over $200.. Just ridiculous!!

Came to pick up a family members car with them which had more then a half a tank of gas. We ended up just barely having enough to get to the nearest gas station, the pendejos took all of the gas that was in the vehicle and looted the inside!On top of that the employees were extremely rude and condescending not to mention extremely unhelpful.Stay far away

Although the property itself is definitely rough around the edges in terms of being very wet and muddy for customer access, I found the customer service to be quite fast and friendly when I went to the lot for purposes of providing authorization for my insurer to transport my vehicle from the location after it was towed to Poppys post-accident.

This place reminds me of that bad movie The Hills Have Eyes. Its creepy, dusty, and you cant see the individuals that you have to deal with if your car gets towed because the nasty little window is so blacked out and scratched up you cant see whos behind it. Not to mention the dead bugs and the nasty smell of very stale cigarette smoke that permeates the entire area. Just a gross, gross place. Super hard to locate as well because there are no direct driveways to the place. And no large signs or directions. If you should be so unfortunate to have your car towed, then be sure to have your ID and a camera ready. I dont recommend going alone because the location is isolated and not in a great place.

Unfortunately, i got my car towed here after my tag wasnt present at my apartments at 6:38 am. I arrived by noon. Only to be told they couldnt release it because they were at lunch come back at 1:30. So an hour and a half later i arrive back and no change is given. Fast foreward, i get to my car its blocked in. I tell the guy and he told me to wait till he returns from o reilly auto store and move the vehicle in my way. He says no more than an hour after i already waited 1.5 hours. There was so much mud. Best part is they left a big scratch on my driver side.. For a county to hire them, there should be some fixes and be better kept

They towed my car, when it was put in theyre lot, they left the windows down(they were in possession of my keys) and my interior light on which drained my battery. I informed the woman behind the window what what was going on and she said it would cost me $20 for a jump. I had just paid her $240 and the car had only been there 16 hours, which to me is high but about what I expected. But I obviously didnt leave the light on, they did. She wouldnt even acknowledge anything I was saying just that the jump would cost $20. At this point I was pretty upset, I told her I wasnt giving her anymore money, that I would get my friend to come back up there. Then she wouldnt allow him to pull his truck onto the lot. I had to manually push my car off their lot about 200ft! These people are rude and very inconsiderate, she was even rude on the phone before I went up there. In my opinion, the scum of the earth.

Recently, I visited this location to retrieve a vehicle from this storage lot. We approached the service window, and the complete setup was sketch. Maybe I have not seen may storage lots, but if they appear to look as rundown and unorganized as this one, I will try to avoid them at all cost. Any who, the service guy at the window had terrible social skills and should not be one who represents any business front office. When asked if he could point me in a direction to retrieve the vehicle, his response was youll have to go find it yourself. Note, this is 10pm at night, with no lights on their premise, and over 300+ vehicles on their. Not the easiest thing to do without lights to see.I would not recommend this place to anyone, even if this would be your last resort. If you enjoy rude and incompetent individuals, this is the place for you, otherwise stray far away from these low and disrespectful individuals.

The customer service was completely terrible. I went to pick up my car and the door was locked with a set of keys still in the car. I told the woman my keys were locked in the car but there were another set of keys in my car as well (2 sets). She told me that Id have to pay $30 to unlock my car, which I did. I asked her if she had my keys and she said no and the wrecker only gave her a slip. I called the wrecker and he says he gave the keys to the people in the office, I told her that and all of a sudden she finds my keys. I ask for the $30 back and she says she already paid the man who doesnt work for the company. He was there all day, even fixing his truck out front. The lady was rude, had an attitude the entire time, lied to my face several times and all around unprofessional.

Keep in mind, car is registered in a different state and owner of the vehicle is out of town.This company is an absolute nightmare and it’s company like them that give others a bad rep!First, the car was towed from the accident site via a police call to the company- not our choice.The same day, we asked what we needed to get it. The lady said the person picking up has to be listed on the insurance. So we added that online the same night.Next day, we went to get the car... and then the nightmare beganWe went with the print out of the ID card and a record showing he’s on the policy, she said that wasn’t enough because the person picking up was NOT listed on the insurance ID card; which in FL, it’s never listed. The only person listed is the policy holder which is the owner of the vehicle. The lady at Poppy’s INSISTED that I am wrong and that GEICO, being such a big company, ALWAYS have the additional drivers listed which then I said NOT IN FL but she’s didn’t want to hear it.She also then insisted that she WENT OUT OF HER WAY to call the insurance company to confirm if he is listed; which she said they told her NO. There is a print out and the GEICO mobile app that shows the name but she insisted it’s not good enough!Then, we went out of my way to the GEICO office in Katy to get an ID card which they said in FL, they don’t print other names on the policy on the card and then gave us a letter stating that he is in fact on the policy. We took that paper to her and without a glance, she had the audacity to say it’s “FORGED” and that she will submit to the insurance for insurance fraud.The lady kept saying, I’ve been in this business for 10+ years and this is how it’s done. The insurance company will NEVER send a letter unsigned and the ID card has to have the name. Well well well, looks like she’s living 10+ years in the past because not only does each state have its own ID card requirement (we confirmed, her, me and GEICO on a conference call), they also can issue a letter stating that is unsigned (I will go back to the office and have an “official” paper that says they wrote the letter or else god forbid I get charged for insurance fraud because of this woman’s claim)The man I originally spoke to is much nicer, Carlos; then I guess she overheard what was going on so she took the phone and started “explaining” things to me.In two days, we’ve been back 4 times with rejections after rejections. Why aren’t the regulations the same all across the country? Something as simple as printing additional driver’s names on the insurance card could have saved all this headache! Maybe that’s the change that needs to happen, also, the company’s customer service and attitude.We got the car back and fingers crossed we will never cross paths with this company ever again.

Came here to pick up my moms rav4 they said they need 40 cash to open the truck which tow services usually keep the keys inside In a secure location. When we getting the car he scrashes the door and I told him u need the ballon kit he says that all the need I work at a local Cadillac dealer I have open many cars with out scratching them with the right tool. So I told him there’s a right tool for that he then got aggressive and called me the n word and saying he’s going to have the cartel to come kill me. I didnt have a printed copy of my insurance, but had an electronic copy on my phone along with an electronic letter of auto renewal from insurance. She also asked for an ID with my maiden name on it. Ive been married for 2 years (not possible on a moments notice). She was a complete ... and when I showed her the documents she said no hardcopy, no vehicle. I told her theres nothing listed on your door or website that disclaims this specific information. Her direct response and I quote, Well thank you for letting me know. I will pick up my car from Conroe next time before driving 2 minutes to this ghetto shop again!!

OMG. I had an accident and my car was towed to this storage lot. The next morning I went to clean out my belongings. Wow, I though I was in a 3rd world country. You have to stand outside a little trailer and talk to someone thru a tiny slot (you cant see them). Very weird. I finally got in after about 30 minutes, thank god it wasnt raining because you have to stand outside.When I got in my car, my radar detector and sunglasses were gone (could have been taken by the tow truck driver or someone at the lot).I then got solicited by some scary guy trying to get me to take the car to his shop for repairs. (no thank you)Never let them take your car here!

I came there because my car was towed and asked them why it was told. They gave me the bigest BS ever, but I just wanted my car. So I payed over 230 and when I just said to him that I dont understand why this happen but its what ever. He started screaming and cursing at me like crazy. The girl who answers the phone is very rude. I called and asked how much was it to get my truck out and what did I need to take, she told me just my ID as long as Im the registered owner. I took my title to be on the safe side and she asks for my ID and insurance. My insurance card was expired but I still had insurance on the truck and she told me she couldnt release it to me without a valid insurance card. I told her that when I called to check the price I asked what exactly do I need and I was told just my ID as long as Im the registered owner. I told her I had my title as proof Im the owner and she rudley asked for the money ans my ID. They dont give change back, which I donteven think is legal, they dont have a sign anywhere saying if youre paying cash make sure its exact because they dont give change back. This place is B.S. Its a shack on a dirt lot, the window is covered with thick glass and screens so you cant see whos behind it. They are a rip off and should be shut down

8/10/2015This is the second time my car has been towed illegally from my complex. First time no one at storage unit sat there that night and the next day, making many phone calls to find why a 24 hour attendant was not there.Now I am trying to get my car out again and no one answers the phone.

I guess it was the usual way these places are run, but I called ahead of time to double check what I needed to get my motorcycle out as well as how much it would be. When I arrived the price of course changed and you need exact change, which is a fact apparently written on the side of a soda machine, so you should obviously know to show up with said exact change. It took some arguing to let him take MORE than the bill so that I could get out of there. Rude service and of course they do what they can to get an extra day of storage charge out of you. I was the only one allowed back to get the bike which was wedged between other cars and my father was not allowed to help. No one showed me where the bike was so I searched myself. Tow anywhere else. Seriously.

Bad attitude, bad service. Also the drive way there will probably destroy your car, with big pot holes the size of laundry baskets, enough to destroy any 4 door sedan or smaller.

Dirty, rude, insulting, disorganized, horrible. I know this is a tough business to love but these people go out of their way to be rude and inconsiderate.

Rude and inconsiderate people. We paid to get our vehicle out and literally waited 2.5 hours due to vehicle being blocked in by another vehicle. The irony!

They crazy but fair

They towed my car with my parking tag visible in the window. Very rude people. Its a nasty business and needs to be shut down. I can believe the City of Houston continues to use these jerks for an impound storage lot.

Wish i could put 0 stars for this crap place. The lady In the front has the worst attitude talking to me like i was being rude for simply asking if i could take property out of the vehicle. Even had a little sticker on the window saying dont tell me how to do my job. Charging $50 for a dang notice letter.

VERY RUDE!!last night they tried to tow my aunts truck and when we tried to tell him to put the truck down the guy said that it was going to be $80 my cousin started recording him (obviously he was still rude)and he pulled his phone out to record too.After an exchange of words the two guys got all up in their feelings because my cousin called them money hungry soooo they released my aunts truck and burnt off!!The way they handled the situation was VERY CHILDISH and I would like to see if they can get their company on check or something.People like them need to work at McDonalds with the attitude they have going on.

Bad customer service

HORRIBLE. .RUDE..COULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME DIRECTIONS. THEN STOOD WAITING FOR 20 MINS WHILE THOSE ..TALKED AND JOKED. IF I COULD GIVE A WORST RATING I WOULD

They charged me 313 dollars and my car was towed for only 2.5 hours! I asked if theyes can bring it down they just said no

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Extremely rude service for no reason. They speak to you like youre an idiot the entire time. Car was parked very tightly surrounded by other cars, so I couldnt get my car out without fear of hitting the other cars. asked them to move surrounding cars and they told us this isnt valet parking.
