I loved this community because I had the best opportunity living around friendly neighbors and nice helpful staff members, especially the community manager (Anita), who has been so helpful to me and my family! I will really miss living in my apartment in which I felt home! And I were ever had to come back to the US I will definitely come back here and rent here again!! I really recommend this community to my friends and family members!! Thank you for having us in this wonderful community!!
Nice property. The curtesy officer he guardshackand always walks the property and staff is helpful when I visit my mother and love it for taking care of the property.
I’ve been living at Ventura Lofts for over two years and I have been very satisfied with my experience here.Pros:- clean- safe (has onsite security)- convenient parking- spacious units- friendly and helpful office staff and maintenance- friendly residents- convenient locationWe’ve had a couple concerns but nothing that has kept us from renewing our leases thus far.- the area isn’t bad but as crime has been increasing in Houston we’ve seen it get closer to home. While I feel very safe in the apartment complex there has been some increased crime in the area.- covid has had an impact on everything but I’ve been disappointed to see the prolonged closures of some of our amenities (business space, theater) as these were some definite perks of living here, and I think they could be monitored in a safe manner for use by residents who are stuck at home more often now.- we haven’t had any resident events due to Covid which makes sense but I would like to see more creative, safe ways to provide for residents such as food trucks, a program to check on and shop for more vulnerable residents, or maybe outdoor distanced fitness classes.Overall we’ve been very happy here and I would recommend ventura lofts to others!
I lived @Ventura Lofts for two years while I was living in Houston. It was an amazing experience living in this community and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a great apartment complex to live in. Here are some of the key things I could highlight about the complex:Amenities: They are simply amazing; I mostly used the swimming pools, 24/7 gym, and grill facilities and loved them all. Also had few gatherings at the club room that went quite well :)Safety & Maintenance: Never felt unsafe in the community. The maintenance crew is also super supportive and covers requests in a very timely fashionFront desk/management team: the support staff are superb & extremely helpful; they always accommodated my requests and worked with me on them no matter how unreasonable they were :) Even after 2.5 years that I’ve left the community and moved out of Texas, they very extremely kind to reroute a package for me (was sent to the address by mistake) and reship it to my new location in California. Cant thank them enough :)Overall it’s a great place to live in & I strongly recommend that you check it out.
PT 1 TOXIC MOLD PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING. I have proof and receipts from a paper trail I kept. Now that my husband and I are officially out of this place, I can leave this review as a warning to any of you considering living at Ventura Lofts.First, I must preface with this: this is of NO fault to the management in the office. They are simply the middle people between corporate and the residents. While they were naive to everything, I do think they could have done more, but I digress. . . Mold IS a big deal. Its NOT just allergies, especially if its the toxic kind. The toxic molds are what we ran into. I have recorded all this since it began, so I do have pictures and receipts. My husband and I lived here since 2015 all the way to September 2020. Thats a long time. Out of those five years we resided here, I began to notice subtle changes to my body in 2016. It started small, but the problems grew bigger; other issues began to pop up, as well, that also worsened over time. As I dug deeper, I decided to see some doctors. I saw multiple before I finally got an answer. I got bloodwork done, which indicated very high levels of mold exposure. When I notified the apartment, they came to inspect just by looking, even though I showed them my bloodwork and area of concern (the shower). They told me it was nothing but mildew and they wanted to go over it so it looked better for me--I said no, not until I had it properly inspected. Finally, the regional maintenance manager came...this is where issues began. He asked me if I drew my own bloodwork (what in the world) and made me feel crazy while undermining me throughout this ENTIRE process. I stood my ground and wanted an inspection. It was on us. Fine, thats fair. We hired who we wanted, not who they recommended, and guess what? There were HIGH spore counts of the toxic molds, which matched my bloodwork!! The M.I. did a wall cavity sample, and WOW. My suspicions were spot on with the area of concern that they brushed off. Black-looking mold (cladosporium, penicillium and aspergillus types) lurking behind the walls of the shower/closet area. HVAC had mold spores and HVAC A/C area had old water damage from before we lived there with mold showing the water stains. High moisture content in shower. Photos attached.Pt 2 to come...
This place is just amazing
After living here, I noticed so many discrepancies that had me leave. Had 6 neighbors that had thin ceilings to which management couldn’t change. My A/C went out 6 times, no exaggeration in one year, then again in a new unit. Maintenance team was worked harder than normal for their lack of help. Great guys, not the greatest leadership.
First of all, we loved the Ventura lofts and people (including management, maintenance and security teams) here a lot. We made a lot of friends here.I would give 5 stars if there was no CRAZY neighbor making loud noise almost EVERY NIGHT!!! We could not have a good sleep for months!!!
From the front view of Ventura Lofts you can feel a sense welcoming. I attended a gathering here a few weeks ago and man this place has some nice amenities. I had a chance to talk to the office staff and they were all polite and professional. From what it looks like they take good care of their tenants. The pool area is to die for I havent seen an outdoor pool area in Houston so beautiful. Once my lease is up at my current location I will be definitely putting in an application.Keep up the good work Ventura Lofts!
I cannot believe how the assistant manager handles my one-time-in-4 years delayed check for one day! She did not talk to me when I was there, instead, she put a piece of paper at my door on her way leaving work! And it was like two weeks after I paid for my rent. I think it just rang a bell for her when I was there right in front of her office talking to another resident. If so, I prefer you to talk to me in person!!! Not leaving a paper 15 minutes later on your way leaving work! I wanted to talk to her to see if I could be excused once, considering I have been living here for four years, this is the first time I turned it in late and I wanted to tell her that we will make sure it wont be late again. Then it came weekend and the storm. The office was closed through Monday. I went to the office on Tuesday. She was not at work. Other front staff told me to talk to her regarding this. Today, I was too busy to stop by. But again, right before she left work! She wrote me a second notice and suggesting that Im prompting to ignore the former notice to avoid to be charged! What is your problem? First of all, communicate effectively and efficiently with your customers! Not to pass out notes right on your way leaving the office. $110 is a small amount as you mentioned in your second notice, but it says a lot about how you manage your relationship with customers! I wish I could post a picture here of your second notice. It is not professional and it is rude! Four years of on-time payments, I cannot believe this is how you handle your relationship with a loyal customer! I can pay for the fine, but you should think about you might should have talked to me in person, and write your notice professionally, and not to be rude!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Awful customer service. People at the front desk are extremely rude. I asked the lady for the apartments because they look nice but I have a German Shepard ( is a certified SERVICE DOG) never had a problem with that and by LAW I cannot be denied to rent and she didn’t even bother to ask the manager and told me in a rude way they didn’t accept German shepherds even if it a service dog. SMH 🤦🏻♀️. Shame on you.
The only possible thing I was not happy about this place was the radio at my window, which has been resolved through communication. Anyone who has concerns, I recommend you to go to Wendy. Shes super nice and accommodating, yet she knows what she is doing. She would walk down the stairs to help me get a package the second I walk in while another employee sitting there. She has her way to make your daily routine experiences better.Older comments:I previously left a poor rating review here. After a discussion, the management and I have found a resolution on the radio issue. I appreciate the efforts the management made to try to communicate with me and resolve the conflict.I want to believe that what happened on Sunday was an accident as the manager explained.I also hope that this issue wont raise again whilst the lasting time I live here.Beside the radio irritation (which used to be constant all-day long), living here at Ventura has been pleasant.I understand that challenges might be encountered trying to accommodate each individual. I really appreciate the managers efforts.
Ventura lofts is 3rd apartment for me and is the best apartment. They have a care team which separated from the staff of apartment provides some party and good relationships between residents. That’s very important for us. The staffs are also kindness and follow up quickly.Especially the staff Wendy is great!
The leasing and management team, maintenance staff and most certainly the Cares Team for Ventura Lofts are all great. This is the first and only apartment me or my family have ever lived and weve been really happy here in our (almost) first year. During Harvey the staff was amazing, especially the manager and Cares team, not to mention the community in general who all helped out in preventing water damage as well as the clean up afterwards. The building is child and family friendly, though not restricted to that as there are tons of different people and family types. I do not have a single complaint about Ventura and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
Great place and great leasing staff!
We like living at Ventura lofts, in fact renewed our lease recently. Only qualm about the place is property management does not let Club Room for private events. With all the facilities available at the club room its a bummer not being able to use it. Since we host lost of friends often it would have been perfect, if club room was allowed. Staff are very friendly and cheerful, Wendy and Gayle have been very helpful when concerns are brought to their attention.
We love living at Ventura Lofts. Anita and the management team treat us with respect and listen to our concerns. The maintenance team works hard and meet our requests in a timely fashion. The media room! What a fun place to watch the Astros win the World Series.
Always with the quick responses from the management office; quite, clean, and subtle vibe apartment. Good community and people. Gym is 24 hr and has every fundamental equipments. Im just glad its close to five guys AND urgent doc clinic. If they ask, BuJin referred you ;)I just like how this apt has everything you need and close to everything else you need. Kickass lane pool and hot tub. Could add a pool for 9 ball or something, no complaints tho.
I went for a tour yesterday and the leasing agent Wendy was amazing. She was very pleasant, great sense of humor and knowledgeable of the complex . The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I cant wait to call this place home!
WATCH OUT.....!!I loved this apartment. Dont get me wrong here its clean nice all decked up with beautiful amenities. I loved it so much that I made a decision to sign up for it on the same day. So I completed the online application and paid $300 as my deposit. Now here is the twist.I was informed that my lease documents were ready to sign on the same day. I got so exited so I decided to visit them again to take care of it.Management claims that they are giving me a discount of $695 PER MONTH. So if you decide to break your lease for what ever reason.1. You have to pay $18192. You have to give them a 30 day notice3. You have to PAY BACK all the discount you received. For example: if you loose your job (Stressful situation) 6 months after you stayed in this apartment. Luckily if you got another job in a different city then this is what you need to pay. $1819 + $1440 (one month rent 30 day notice) + (695 X 6) = $7,429 (INSANE)They have a SPECIAL PROVISION in the lease which mandates you to pay this amount. Management will make sure you sign your lease with this clause.I decided that this will not work out for me because thats just a ridiculous amount of money to pay if I had no job. So I decided that I will not sign the lease. Now they informed me that if I do not sign my lease they cannot refund my deposit ($300).CROOKS.
I was invited to our fantasy football draft that was held in the community party room. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. The swimming pool area was like a resort and just as clean! The party room had all the amenities you need and was also extremely well laid out. Did I mention how CLEAN the property was....WOW, very nice.
Management staff members are friendly, however the event organizers Nathan and Belinda Nease are awesome! They speak to all residents making them feel very welcome to the community.Wendy is beyond awesome she goes out of her way to ensure you understand everything on the lease and around the community. You can always count on her for any ongoing issues or concerns. She will get a perfect 10 from us. (Wendy thank you )
Amazing staff
How much is it to live here two of my friends are looking for a better and safer complex. Does anyone know how much it is for a 3 bed room loft??
Just moved-in to Ventura Lofts and we love the place! Great staff and maintenance team.
Updated Review:We had loved living in Ventura Lofts for a short span since we had to relocate to another city. We had really fond memories of the place since we welcomed our first child while we were staying there. However, once we moved out we were surprised to receive a staggering bill which was way over the deposit amount we had submitted. We were charged for things which could have been fixed or the ones that existed before we moved in. When we left they came up saying they have to change everything which in their opinion was worn out because of us, and mind you we had gotten our house cleaned by a professional. We were extremely disappointed and frankly their attitude broke our heart. I had planned that if we ever return to Houston we would go back to Ventura But Not Anymore. So, watch out. Take note of each goddamn detail you see in the house. Even if the previous resident has painted a wall if you think that they might blame you....write it down right away when you move in. All the Best.
Great staff and maintenance team... Very welcoming cares team too! Only thing I dont like about it is that its not well insulated so you hear neighbors sound system and walkingin hallways.
Weve lived at Ventura Lofts for a little over a year and the experience overall has been very positive. The complex is showing a little wear and tear from its almost decade existence. Yet, what sets it apart are the excellent management team whom are always receptive to your needs (especially Anita, the on site property manager) and also the CARES team, lead by Nathan and Belinda who go out of their way to make the complex feel like a family by organizing parties and activities that all residents can attend. My few gripes is that I wish the parking garage had speed bumps as people tend to drive fast up and down the ramps with almost reckless abandon. Though maintenance was good overall, there were a few instances when it took more than 2 days to get something fixed. The rental pay portal is needlessly confusing. It doesnt tell you the total that you need to pay and you get a separate bill for water and utilities in your mailbox. The area is a bit of a dead zone in regards to cell phone service unless you have access to wi-fi. There were about 3-5 car breaks ins while I was living there, but from my experience in apartment living in Houston, its just one of things you may have to deal with from living in a big city. Regardless, these issues did not dampen my experience living at Ventura Lofts. Its very dog friendly, with a long stretch of driveway and grass at the back of the complex where you can walk your pet. Its within walking distance of some very good restaurants and a Randalls. And the residents were all nice and friendly as I had no issue with anybody while I was living there. Highly recommended.
Awesome experience with Wendy!...She is absolutely amazing!...Extremely helpful..always willing to go an extra mile..Keep up the great work Wendy!...and Thank you so much for all your help the other day at the leasing office!!!!!
I had lived in Ventura Loft for almost 3 years and the first 2 years were fine, but how it was mentioned in previous posts office management changed every year and things got worse.I agree totally about a staff member, Chaz. His attitude and approach could be defined as non-professional and left much to be desired. I also would like to warn everybody before to agreeing to non-refundable deposit (approx. $138) which should be applied for cleaning and other stuff after you move out, however, it was just throwing money. After you move out they are expecting you to provide absolutely a new apartment without holes, scratches, spots and etc. I have 2 small kids and left small minor scratches on the wall which are fixed. They permitted us to hang curtains and pictures on the wall when we were moving in, now they are claiming the holes there. When I was notified about outstanding fee to be paid as a result of painting walls and etc., I requested them to provide pictures as an evidence; however, they didnt send any bills and pictures to me what they did…They sent information to collection company directly without letting me know. This is totally unprofessional and unacceptable approach…
Secured appartment with great amenities. Me and my family is loving staying here.
The units look great, staff is good but the build quality and transfer of noise is really awful.
Very good apt for professional people. Quiet and upscale apartment
Very unprofessional. Did not appreciate a lot of things... especially from a staff member name Chaz. He would say very racist comments towards people of color and act racist BUT if a Caucasian male or female was around he acted TOTALLY different. Will NEVER recommend this apartments. We have called corporate but havent heard back. VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL!!!
BEWARE>>>>> Can I go below a star rating?? Dont think so.Downgrading my rating to 4 stars to 1.So please read this carefully if you dont want to be regretting later like me.When I moved here in 2016, I was told by one of their best leasing agent that if I pay an upfront SecurDeposit of 131$ (NON-REFUNDABLE) it will save me to avoid paying the Security Deposit whenever I have to leave the community. Me and my wife decided that since we usually end up paying up around that amount when you exit the amount for cleaning and other MISC charges, we okayed and signed the agreement of 50 pages...(Not reading every single line of those terms and conditions they have got hidden inside). This is 2019 and we decided to move on to other place, and Now the real drama begins. I got a call from their assistant manager followed by talking to manager saying that I have a closing fees of $340. I was shocked and asked her the details and upon confirmation I was told they have to charge me Carpet replacement, HEAVY CLEAN, Ozone treatment whatever was their coming to their mind. Attaching a screenshot so you guys will know the truth. When i asked why i have to pay because I already paid the nonrefundable SecurDeposit, the manager informed that SecurDeposit definition doesnt cover any APARTMENT Cleaning fees instead it was a one time deposit that you just give it to the community so that you dont have to pay a 300$ deposit. Now as the leasing agent was still working there I immediately started talking to her but she also took a U TURN and said that it was my misunderstanding that SecurDeposit will cover all the closing charges.Wish I have had a recording of that conversation. Now as I am standing today, I have lost that 131 $ plus they have charged me unnecessary 340$.When we guys left we cleaned each room like it was our home not trying to leave any damage, wear and tear and cleaned the home to best of our ability. I was a respectful and obedient citizen of this community but still they to did this to me. So disappointed with my entire experience and have lost my TRUST in words of individual and CHEESY and fake words.I know I am not the only one who faced this situation as you will find other comments as well facing similar charges.PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU HAVE TO EXIT APARTMENT .. TAKE AS MANY PICTURES AS YOU CAN AND VIDEO RECORDING if you dont want to pay ending up $$$$$.
Nice place to live.
Needs some interior upgrades.
The lies! The lies! The lies! I stayed with a friend at this God forsaken place when I moved in from California. My car was broken within 72 hours of my stay. Management blamed security for the issues when in reality this place is simply not safe. The guard is not carrying a gun and he or she would need it! I got my car window fixed a week later and by the ending of that week it happens again. Constant smell of marijuana in the garage and gym restroom. Constant police activity. Don’t order packages here because they will not make it to your door. Inquired about the place across the street and there even worse. Take advice from the wise and look the other way. Memeorial Area/ City Centre Area is where I decided to settle.
Worse place you can possibly live in Houston. They were great until you moved in and signed the lease, after that, you didnt exist. When we moved in we found that our oven was broken (no big deal, it still turned on but only on degree C), we submitted a work order and nothing happened. No one came by or even responded to us; we submitted 3 more work orders over the course of a month and still no answer, we finally walked down and submitted one in person, instead of calling, and they said they never recieved a work order for our oven. We waited again for another month and still no one, so we went down and submitted a 5th work order, since apparantly they didnt have a record of our 4th work order (submitted in person) on file. This went on for about 6 months, on the 5th month mailed a letter (certified mail) stating I will fix it myself and deduct the cost from my monthly rent, then i will cancel my lease and move out (this is perfectly legal, they violated the lease and Texas real estate laws). After that a letter, it was about 2 days when they finally showed up and replaced the whole panel of our oven. The second experience, our dishwasher clogged up and we submitted a work order, they did show up in a timely manner but said they fixed it when it turns out they didnt. We submitted 3 work orders, every time they said they fixed it but all they were doing is draining the water. I gave up and went ahead and bought the parts and fixed the dishwasher myself, deducting $50 from my rent (again, this is legal). Third experience, when we moved in we gave them a deposit check from my bank back in Oklahoma, i told them that i was going to be closing the account in 3 weeks so cash the check and notify me when you have done so. They called me about a week later and said all checks have gone through so i canceled my account; 8 or 9 months later i get a call saying that the deposit check i wrote them when i moved in wouldnt go through, turns out they didnt cash it and were wanting me to write them a new check. I told them that this was there fault and that i wasnt going to write them a new check and they agreed. Last experience, we moved out in June and they said we will be getting back our full deposit in a few weeks to a month. A month passed, no check. I called once or twice a week for three weeks to ask about my check; every time i called there was some excuse about why they cant help me today and i have to call back. Even now, i have not recieved my deposit back and will give one more week until i file a small claims case for my deposit (Ive had to do this in the past, its easy). Do not live here, theres a place down the street called The Ava which is 10x better.
Very Nice Apartment
Truly the best all around!
Total rip off!!!
Ok

Hello, what is the monthly payment for a bedroom?
No good
