The customer service here is excellent! The office staff was very welcoming and helpful! Ryan took me on a tour of the community and showed me a 2x2 floor plan. He truly made this decision easy! I plan on applying and making Thornbury Apartments my home!
If youre looking for a great place to stay You found your place. The staff is great very nice very professional. Their apartments are very nice And the ground keeping is very exceptional. Dont look any further this is the place. The walk through with staff was awesome.
I’ve had the most unpleasant experience with these apartments it’s been a month since I was supposed to move in & the apartment is still not going to be ready for the move in date it was pushed back to. No one called to make me aware of this information I had to call 3 times before the first person I spoke with advised me that it wouldn’t be ready. I was advised twice that I would receive a call from management Monday as well as today & no one had followed up with me. The professionalism is very low they wouldn’t even set me up in another unit (without me having to pay the price of that unit which was more) while they fixed the issue that they only made me aware when I asked to do a walk through last month. You would think since they are in the wrong they would try to do something to compensate me as a tenant, but no instead they’re ignoring my emails as well as not returning my calls.
I really loved the environment and the amenities!
I am looking into getting an apartment in October and came across your website. I was given a tour by Ms. Ariann, she was so helpful and knowledgeable about the property. I was sold on how beautiful the apartments are and the amenities. Ms. Ariann’s bubbly attitude and contagious smile sealed the deal. Thank you for your great customer service! :-)
I’ve been here a year now and would not recommend this place. The power goes out at least once a month. This means no a/c in the summer until it’s fixed. Sometimes the power is out for a few seconds and sometimes it’s hours. Also I know my neighboring building has had issues with their fire alarms malfunctioning. Also there used to be two entry gates. The back gate kept breaking so on Jan 2021 the staff closed the gate permanently. It’s inconvenient for those that live in the back. Also sometimes I try to reach the leasing office by phone and no one answered. Not very responsive.
Thornbury is the apartments to go for. I fell welcomed as soon as I came in. Jacky toured me the community and liked the place. I will be applying soon.
I’ve been here on the property as a resident for a year now and I’m renewing my lease! I don’t have anything to complain about from the moment I moved in. My apartment was newly remodeled and my family and I enjoyed it! I believe that my stay was pleasant due to the staff professionally accommodating me, especially the property manager (Nina) she is awesome! She makes sure things are done and taken care of and she’s the type to go out of her way not just say okay like most managers, she is truly involved with her residents! Now I would have given them a 5 star but of course no ones perfect yet they try to make it!I’ve never had issues with maintenance! I noticed it’s faster to call in rather than making an online work order! As to the property the grounds stay clean, no noisy neighbors, the gates stay working, no people hanging out, I mean it’s just a nice place for me and my kiddos! If I had one issue I would damn sure let it be known because I’m one who’s big on reviews and I think opinions like this matter! So you can definitely feel comfortable with calling this place your home!MY REVIEW IS REAL!
I love the apartments and the community .The staff is helpful and welcoming with the moving process & throughout my stay.
If you want your tires/rims DO NOT move here! I’ve been living here since November of 2020 and hadn’t had any complaints. I was told upon moving that they had security which was a LIE. I started to have a bad feeling once the front gates started staying open for days at a time considering I have a nice car and my rims always get targeted. I purchased a new car last month went downstairs this morning and all 4 of my tires were off my car. I went to the front office I was unable to see a camera and there was no remorse at all. This morning the gate is magically fixed.
I love these apartments! I am starting my freshamn year of college this year and I am considering making this my home. The one bedroom A2 floor plan has everthing I am lookong for!
Jackie Just says she will call you back and never does! i had to keep and keep calling they will say they will return your call and never do! i sent in some of my id and ss with the email she gave me then when i called to see if she received everything she then tells me that’s not her email!!!! like you have me the card with email! then she said i will check on your status i will call you back today and never does! i had to call her back the next day for her to tell me my paperwork has been waived this place is a joke! dont waste your time here! they never answer!
I had a good experience with staffVery friendly and professional.
I wish I didnt move in. If you are contemplating moving here, DONT!!! the model apartments are hella nice, but the actual live in apartments are not worth what they charge. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THEIR RESIDENTS. DO NOT MOVE HERE! I am NOT renewing my lease and i made that decision the week i moved in.
Jackie And Ariana were excellent !
Thanks to property manager Ms Nina she was wonderful helping me with getting me in my apartment in such great timing I recommend going in and seeing her she is really good!!!!
The management team is very unprofessional. First they told me I owed money when I lived out. So I went to pay for it. Then Jackie the assistan manager told me I didn’t owe anything. I come to find out I was sent to collections for the amount I was trying to pay! They are so unprofessional and can never even answer the phone or return a call. DONT MOVE HERE! Maintenance and leasing staff are terrible!
I applied here about a month ago and I am so happy with my apartment! I am so happy with the staff here and I’m so thankful with the leasing agents here, especially Thalia, she made my move in process smooth and easy! She is an amazing leasing agent! I am extremely happy and satisfied with the customer service! I recommend this property to anyone ! I love their maintenance staff as well because they prioritized all my service issues!
I recently toured at this property. Wow Cedric is so amazing, professional, and knowledgeable throughout my whole tour he even called to follow up with me the next day I wish I couldve rented from him. Oh and very well dress. Keep it up Cedric
I just move out of Thornbury Apartments on 03/20/2021 and I loved my apartment and I wish I didnt have to leave but unfortunally, I had no choice. In my living at Thornbury during 2020-2021 I had put in 5 work orders and ALL of them but one took a very long time for maintenance to come to repair my unit. I was impacted by COVID-19 and I was with out a job for majority of my living but I Thank God for savings because I was Not Late at All untill the last two months of me living there. My stimulus came and I paid off two month of rent plus fees. $1,700+ and I cleaned my APT good. I had a small move out balance but I had signed a Payment Plan with the Assistant Manager and sent it back was supposed to pay my balance off today on 04/02/2021 like I was told by a legal document. I emailed the Assistant and confirmed that I was going to pay and she responded back that I can only pay by money order, Okay that fine but then I replied back to confirm if the office was going to be open. NO RESPONSE so, I work 45 minutes from Thornbury and I drive over there and no one is working in the office and they closed at 1:00 pm. Mind you my move out date was the 20th and that was a saturday, Sunday office is closed. I went monday to turn in keys and I was so in a rush I forgot to bring the keys but I went all the way to the office and they said well we need the keys. Tuesday My boss took the keys for me because I LIVE AND WORK way to far to go back and forth. THE ASSISTANT MANAGER OR MANAGER COULD NOT ACCOMMODATE ME at all even tho I went there and forgot the keys. Im very upset because the staff will eat the desk, not return any calls or emails. they took a month replace my A/C filter and I eventually had to replace it myself. I had one emergency with my kitchen sink and the maintenance said it wasnt an emergency for me to wait when water was all over my kitchen floor. DAYRISE im sorry but Thornbury Staff is horrible at Accommodating and Communication. Professionalism is a 0 star. Property is a 3 star. ALL of 2020 Everything was closed literally even the office. If you move here you may love your apartment but the office staff will never put you first even if you pay on time and not a problem to your neighbors or to them. Im in the Industry as well and I work at HOOD property and even my staff communicate better then Thornbury Staff.....Thank You and I will be there Monday to pay my Balance off and I hope yall reply to my email. I sent a picture of my money order to yall and I have no response back yet not even from the manager.
Let me start with saying Betty Mirels attitude is horrible and she is very unprofessional . My apartment got water damage from a busted on 7/31/21 that caused major damage to the apartment . I explain to Mrs Betty that the apartment is not safe for my family to stay there due to me having kids while they repair the roof due to dangerous chemicals that no one shouldn’t be inhaling .Betty response that there is nothing that she can do we even explain to her how the chemicals had a family member eye burn along with coughing she did not care and told us she can’t do anything and chemicals can not harm us .
I want to say Thank you to the leasing staff for the professionalism they gave me. Im new to the city and have been looking for nice place to call home . I have been to many properties that look good but the staff did not carry the same professionalism. Im looking forward to calling thornbury home . Thanks Thalia for helping me keep up the good work .
The people in charge of managing the property unfortunately do not do their job efficiently and effectively I have 2 months calling for them to do the pest control change the microwave light bulb the laundry doors the Air conditioning filter we have renewed the contract several times and no we have changed the carpets in the rooms the maintenance service is terrible
Continuing post from Melissa Marquez.Even though people buy cars, open bank accounts and are able to lease apartments with just their foreign passport. I even spoke to a lady outside that said she was approved with just her out of the country ID not even a passport!!!! TAHLIA did not even care at all about the inconvenience and time wasted. A whole week just to say she couldn’t accept a valid foreign passport. I told her I would have to see what I could do to speed up the process in regards to getting my ID and left. When my cousin and I came back to remove myself from the application and just move forward with the application on her own she said she had canceled the application and the apartment was given to someone else. She said that my cousins application was denied even though they never started!!!! The worst customer service experience of my entire life. I really hope corporate looks at reviews to re-examine the people they have working in the leasing office. I thought the whole point is to get people in to rent in your complex but that is definitely not the case with this apartment. TAHLIA even told me she was giving me attitude because she said I was!!! How unprofessional completely discriminatory towards the situation. I absolutely felt so disrespected what an awful experience. The reviews go way back I don’t understand why this is still an issue. I asked to talk to the manager she said she couldn’t that she was too busy at the moment.
I want to give a appreciation and five star rating to Thornbury Luxury Apartments. For the virtual tour the on-site tour the great customer service and professionalism that was given to us.The leasing staff and Thalia keep up the great work. Thank you for helping with our transition, High Five!!
Jacky touted me and i loveed the community 👌
I have been living here for two years now. The previous management was horrible. However, the new management is wonderful. My work orders are responded to in a timely manner. The staff is super sweet. The manager is superb and the grounds are kept nicely. I just signed a new lease, and the new management is the only reason I stayed. Keep up the good work.
Used to live here back in 2017, called to get rental history and they acted like I never lived there even when I showed email s from back then! I’m so glad my new place help me in order to not pay a lot of deposit since I don’t have rental history... live there for 4-6 yrs for nothing!!!! Thanks again for nothing
Honestly I enjoy living here it’s extremely quiet and I do feel safe even though for whatever reason the gate doesn’t always work. I do like the fact that it’s close to schools, stores, and 290 which is awesome!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽 I would have to say the only bad thing so far is maintenance, they never seem to fix issues in a timely manner. I haven’t really had many major issues thank God, but the ones I do have I expect to be taken care of rather quickly and that doesn’t always happen. Even still the staff is amazing and they have always been good to me and I know they try their best to take good care of me and my family 🤗🤗💯💯
The gym hasnt been open since the pandemic and they need to place speed bumps in the parking lot
Never pick up the phone !!!
Amazing place to live, perfect spacious rooms and closets which is the best. I just moved in 5 months ago I highly Recommend it. Super close to the Houston Galleria and everything you need it’s there. The Staff is amazing great customer service, always aware of everything, always attending your needs, always making the best possible to make us happy. I’ve never had any problems like I had previously in other apartment complexes. I love everything about this place and the amazing people around!
I am disappointed in management. Service requests take a long time to get completed and there is NO PARKING. I have to be home early because l will not find parking after 6 PM on the weekends. They should have some sort of stickers for the residents and an area for visitors. A new ownership came in and it was great at one point when Nancy Rios was here. It is my understanding she was here temporarily to get this place up and running again. The remodeling is amazing. Nancy replied to service requests and emails the same day and this is something management usually does not do but now it appears everything is back to the same way it was after she left. It is really frustrating. To all new residents: Great place to live aside from the stealing, parking and management.
Awesome staff!!!
The apartments themselves aren’t bad. However, as with most Houston apartments, the parking is horrible. People do race through the parking lot and often have loud music playing. The loud music usually happens late at night, making it difficult to sleep. Dump trucks come between 5am and 6:30am, making a ton of noise. My biggest frustration, however, is the parking. There have been many times when we have had to park on the completely opposite side of the apartment unit from where we live.
Spacious and affordable units. Quiet complex. Although, they are currently going through shifts with management and management companies, Ive been offered full transparency throughout the duration. The office staff offers a fine blend of professional and personal connections; they make it their mission to get to know their residents. With the shift in management companies, I look forward to the current team working to ensure my stay here gets improved gradually.
It’s sad to see such sad reviews at a great property! I can always count on Lido to put in my service request and amazing customer service. My apartment home is the best! I love how I have a garage space! Large walk in closets are a must for me and it’s cozy place that I LOVE call home. It’s also affordable In a convenient location for me. Keep up the amazing work in the office!
It is not a good idea to move to these apartments ... there are no parking spaces available ... the manager is a despot person who does not attend you in a good way and above all discriminates you if you are Hispanic. There is too much noise in the apartments ... and the manager does not nothing despite the fact that I have given her the complaint and she only ignores me because she is a person who discriminates02-29-20I did my best to pay attention to you ... I spoke to your office ... I sent an email to someone named Kristi Mugridg and he never answered me ...
Great place to live! Nice and quite neighborhood. Great customer service, very attentive to tenants needs. The apartment itself is very spacious and I love the pool area.
I have lived at Thornbury since 2012, the new management company is great. Everybody in the office has been so good to me from Brittany to Eloisa to the leasing agents. I had an incident recently and they handled the matter the very next day! Thank you Bella and Eloisa for a great job!I really enjoy living here. The apartment layout is very cozy and homey. It is a very nice apartment. If you are looking for a place to call home, I would recommend this place. The online payment method is awesome and they also have an app. I give it 5 stars. Many of my neighbors have been here at Thornburys for over 3 years as well. It is a quiet community. I hope that you can join our community:)!!
Today i had a great expirience with Miss Brown the assistant manager i had and issue with the carpet in one of my bedrooms. I called spoke to her she fallowed up with me and the issue, she took care of the problem right away to my surprise i came home to find my carpet nice and neat again! I just had to call her to let her know how happy i was... Thank you MISS BROWN.
Came in to represent the company I work for seeking information on how to join the event calendar. No one greeted me when I explain to leasing specialist for my visit so pointed me to the manager office. The manager “Asked me to step out of her office.” With he hand up I stepped back them she motion her hand and said “Like go sit down in the lobby.” The rudeness, no professionalism so I can only imagine how the residence are treated.
These apartments are by far the best! I’ve been here ever since I moved to Houston and management and the community has been nothing but amazing. Office staff is always kind and prompt to any request or issues that’ve arrived in my time here. I’m also glad that everything is so close, the grocery store and amazing tasting restaurant and the shopping center. I give this place 5 out of 5 cause there efforts to keep the apartment complex clean and well taken care of should be acknowledged.
Don’t move here, my A/C has been out since 8am we’ve called 3 times already for emergency maintenance it’s 1:26 and still no one has come, the excuse was the guy lives far! Why would you not have emergency maintenance on the property it’s summer time in HOUSTON TEXAS & they’ve shown no concern
My boyfriend and I lived here for about a year, we couldnt justify starying any longer than that. During our year stay our garage was unusable for six months of despite repeated requests for maintenance. Speaking of maintenance, it consistently took two weeks or more for maintenance to be completed, no matter how simple. Even lightbulb changes (lightbulbs we could not reach and of non-standard types). The one time we had an emergency maintenance event (flood due to a broken pipe) the maintenance guy showed up, told us how to turn off the water, gave us a shop vac, then left for forty five minutes. And on the subject of a water leak, the water shut off was on the ceiling behind the hot water heater. It was near impossible to get to.We had mold in our vents and it took over a month for them to clean it out.We had to jump through hoops to prove that yes, we had told them we had dogs and that yes, we had paid the deposit and we had been paying pet rent every month... After we had been there eight months! Here comes the kicker, you have to give sixty days notice to move out? Well, apparently you have to make that decision before youre told if your rent is going up.We started asking two weeks before the decision needed to be made, and they couldnt even give us an estimate. We had a lovely rat roommate for a couple of weeks. Thankfully it stayed in the garage and never got into the apartment proper. The apartments are nice and not a bad value in and of themselves. Loved the Roman tub and the fact we actually had a garage, but trust me, its not worth the headaches youre going to have to live with if you live here.EDIT: For the record, we moved out January 2020
Wonderful place to live in, been here 5 months, my wife and I are so happy to be here always a great environment to live in, the staff is amazing. Always greeting you and always so helpful especially Lirio, she’s such a wonderful person and very understanding. Really recommend this place!
Up until December I had no big issues with The Thornbury. Sure, parking was awful and getting home late at all felt dangerous, but Ive been lucky with that aspect. After the new management company took over, my lease was about to run out. I gave the necessary notice to say I was renewing and the first employee told me they would draft up a new lease for me to resign. Right after this, my apartment was flooded by the construction crew that is renovating the apartments. The property manager told me they would come by to inspect the damage and see about compensating me for what was destroyed. Nobody came by in 2 days so I went back and spoke with a different employee who told me he would have more information about my flood damage and my lease by the next day. I never received any information about this. The next week I went in and spoke to ANOTHER different employee and was told that I would need to reapply to live there because the new management company is requiring that. She also told me I would need to file a claim through renters insurance to get my items replaced from flood damage. Ill be damned if Im going to let my insurance premium go up because of something that is entirely the fault of the complex. Regardless, I stupidly filled out my application.A few days later I get a call from the property manager asking if I am interested in living there. I reply Yes?. She then says where do you currently live?.I live there. Im a current resident. Your employees told me to reapply for my lease.Oh. You didnt have to do that she says. Ill just send you a confirmation for your lease.I never received this confirmation but I assumed it was worked out. This month I was charged month-to-month for my rent even though that is entirely wrong. I called today to ask about whether my lease is ready to be signed and was told they would send it to me for an e-signature. After an entire month and a half, I have received no compensation for my damaged property and I still cant get a straight answer about signing my lease.I dont know if its the new management company thats caused this utter cluster of confusion, but Im seriously fed up with the constant back and forth and promises that never get fulfilled. This place is a trap. Its overpriced for what you get and youre privileged with getting to drive on 290 on a daily basis if you actually want to go anywhere. I would urge you to live (almost) anywhere else in Houston.
If you want to lease apartments I suggest you fire the lady who answered the phone at 4:45pm September 30th.
I love living here. Lydia and Kennedy are always on top of things, very friendly and getting things done. Nancy is always working overtime and responding to any issues that might come up day or night. And I cannot tell you how much I LOVE my apartment. Soaring high ceilings, huge walk-in closets in all the bedrooms, beautiful kitchen and master bath. Located minutes away from several shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment, Thornbury is by far the best place to live.
Hello everyone this apartment are very nice place to rent. Very good, new management are really making changes, this place have been the best apartment I live, the gym has a lot of machine, I enjoy my time here I make my payment online the girl in the office are beautiful but nice best customer service I can’t complain, best best place ever things really get done here.
I really enjoyed the experience at this apartment complex. The place is safe, clean, quiet and convenient. The staff is great especially leasing agent Lydio. She really takes care of business. Thanks for everything 😊
I’ve been in this community for the past three years. I highly recommend it! Love the residence activities. Brunch, Christmas parties etc.
Zero starrrrs. These apartments are HORRIBLE. I’m 100% convinced the good reviews are FAKE. I moved in a year and a half ago and the issues I wrote on the work order at the initial walk through still has not been fixed! They lie all the time, keep getting new ppl in the office who go along with the lies previously told. The work order for my unit always seems to get lost, either due to a new system or the work order is marked as completed when the work has not been done. The dumpsters smell horrible and they are allowing the trash to continuously pile up. The people in the front office could care less about the issues you experience. They put in new refurbished toilets that are half broke and changed faucets in the restroom to be more “cost efficient”, AKA Thornbury being CHEAP. The new faucets in the restroom water pressure is super low causing me to have to brush my teeth and wash my face in my kitchen! Thornbury is now attempting to renovate the OUTSIDE to TRICK people into moving in without caring about fixing the inside for the tenants that already reside here. Please don’t fall for it!!!! Find something better. I give ZERO STARS!!!!!!!
Overall looks nice. Inside is not bad. But parking sucks really bad! I got back from work at 11pm and I was driving around looking for parking till 12am. Unless you get one with garage or you’ll be doing the same as me for parking.
Noticed an influx of 5 star reviews exactly a week ago with people with only one review. Sounds really iffy and looks like they have bought reviews, I wanted to share my experience here. The staff is not bad, they are friendly and I assume try to be helpful. That being said, my vents were growing mold and it took 2 weeks to sort out someone to clean it. It was 2 missed days of work for me that they gave me a bit of rent compensation. Doesnt match the money I lost by losing two days of work but okay. My car got broken into. Management did nothing about it. I mentioned it and asked about cameras but management stated they did not want the liability. That also brings me to the point about how much time the gate spent broken. It felt like its a considerable amount of time that the gate spent open for anyone to access. So it doesnt feel as secure. The neighbors were awful as well. At these apartments you can expect to have thin walls and so many neighbors blast music or their Sunday morning gospel without consideration of others and their time. Also reminds me of the lack of action from management. The people around me would party on weekends. Loud music and drunk people flopping about. I called the security guard one weekend when they were partying on a Sunday around 3 am. Never showed up. Two weeks later I get a response about a noise complaint from my end. When I was not even in Houston. Anyway, for the price you get what you pay for. Poorly built units, crappy neighbors, lack of security either from a gate or an useless guard and expect to get your stuff broken into. Parking is also awful, but I guess you could technically pay for an assigned parking spot. So if you want to do that you can, its the only way you can be happy with parking, otherwise some douche will park his truck taking up several spots and you can tell management but no truck or action will come of it.
The new management does not look out for the residents best interests. They accepted a UPS delivery that was clearly labeled perishable on Monday and didnt notify us - not even a simple phone call!! We didnt find out that the package had arrived until Friday when the seller contacted us to see how we liked the product. When we went to the office, got the package and complained about not being notified, their response was Its not our responsibility. 😡🤬😡🤬😡 Talk about lack of customer service!!! Thank God we are leaving soon, because things have gone downhill since the new owners took over and we will probably be treated even worse after they read this post.
Great apartments to live in!! Been here for two years never had no problem whatsoever, maintance is fast and efficient. A very good area very close to the 290 freeway, easy access to the beltway 8, roughly about 25 minutes to downtown. The office will take good care of you, ask for lirio and she will take good care of you and help get started living good in this apartments.
Not liking the type of people Ive seen renting here.
Came to visit these apartments to get information and possibly take a tour. There was no parking except for handicapped parking and when I walked in no one greeted me or said hello. There was a group of people in the back on their laptops and didn’t say anything. Finally someone was nice enough to direct me to an office where there was a lady having lunch on her desk and on phone the entire time. I didn’t know who to talk to or who could help me. If this is the kind of welcome I get then I definitely didn’t want to stay any longer and wait for someone to help me.
I am a current resident. I gotta tell you, my experience in this apartment is been awful since the beginning. The new management is event worse. My refrigerator is broken for 9 days now. i called multiple times. Wrote three different request (i have attached the screen shot) and there is no sign of help. A maintenance guy showed up, turned off my refrigerator and told me that i would work if i turn back in an hour. Then, thats it. It never worked. I requested for maintenance again. But no sigh of help at all. If i call them, nobody picks up the office phone 10 am on Tuesday morning. I have threatened to sue them for all the incurred expenses. Lets what happens. And worst thing is my apartment and four other ones here got burglarize in about 2 weeks after i moved in. That was about a year ago. TI would not recommended this apartment at all. I would rather choose neighboring apartments than this, but be careful. If you can avoid this area, AVOID.
This apartments are family friendly and convenient place live in. ( it has an indoor pool table, 2 swimming pool and GYM)Some many stores around this area and also close to 290 freeway.Management friendly.!
Soo I just moved in the complex…On the first day of move Was given two keys I walk to my unit my key didn’t work, my front door already open . I give a call to office tells me their the old keys from prior tenant they have to make me a new one for new lock .. suppose to come with washer and dryer I didn’t receive mines .. I still don’t have my mailbox key told me I have to wait, although I been waiting 1 month & 1/2 to move my family.. every time I call I’m told another excuse..
Awesome place to live! Get your apartment here asap. You won’t regret it!
I have lived here for almost two years & have seen the management change way too many times. The upgrades were made on the outside, in the office, & to the newly vacant apartments therefore the rates have increased. You DO NOT get what you pay for!! The gates are constantly being broken by the residents that are too lazy to walk to the front or dont have access remotes. The noise is ridiculous! I hear my upstairs neighbor shower, walk, TV, etc. Cars race through the parking lot with loud music. Pest control is a joke & so is the maintenance. Whenever Ive called or made a request to have something fixed, they half do it, or come back too many times to repair what they say theyve already fixed. The complex is so old that the electricity bill is high due to the old outlets. The buildings are shifting causing doors to not close properly & are poorly ventilated. All of the outside pest enter through the cracks. I plan to move as soon as my lease is up!
The office staff is very accommodating. They go the extra mile to solve issues and hey make sure that maintenance issues are completed as soon as possible. One feels like they are truly family.
I enjoy my home very nice apartments and when I request my work orden they get done very fast. New manager is awesome, Cindy the black lady very very very nice love her best customer service, she made me feel like a royalty, with her service loved it.
Worst place to live lived there for five years with my family. Then got my own place at the same apartment complex I was told satellite was allowed but never given a copy of lease to cut it short after moving in my new apartment I was told after 10 months that my satellite was suppose to be only in patio and was given a violation. When I went to office I was told no its suppose to be only in patio and no where else. When I went at the office they couldnt help me. When moving in I was approved at two other apartment complex but since I was told satellite was approved with deposit I went ahead but now all of a sudden after 10 months I am In a violation. Will not recommend this place make sure you check the lease before you sign. But will not recommend to anyone the new management is not cooperative at all. If possible I would give it a negative review.I have already went to the office and the manager was not available spoke to Tim he said he cannot do anything. Thats what I expected why was I approved to put the satellite in first place then because when I had it installed the office approved it.
Our renewal is almost up and guess what!? They want to raise our rates $100! $100! For these apartments? No thanks. Parking is HORRID. HORRID!! The office NEVER answers. I go to try and pay rent on my lunch time and they are closed for lunch. What business does that? What an inconvenience. Im not happy with them after 2 years, dont know why Ive stuck around so long.
Went on to take a tour at this apartment complex, things I have notice most one bedroom apartment around the $847 and up to 989 were more than a 12 months lease they were even up to 17 months lease, after the tour I hear two staff talking about a resident getting into with someone mother over the phone while I am sitting there waiting for them to get back to work so i could attend to my errands after work. After the tour, the staff and I went back into the leasing office to discuss some more units with varies prices. I notice a cop outside the leasing office talking to a resident and getting information. I am glad i read these reviews. She even answered my questions about windows being broken from rocks being throwing. I just thought to myself like yeah right rocks really?.
The lights go out 4-6 hours every single time it rains. Over priced. Maintenance doesn’t fix anything right the first or the second time. Be equipped with flash lights, candles and do it yourself manuals.
Ive been living here for five years and I highly recommend it. Great amenities 2 pools, grill station fitness 24 hours.
Quality units, quality management, works with students and residents to help out when they can. as with alot of apartments, prices always seem to go up time to time. Only complaint is Parking, hard to find any after dark on weekdays, sometimes on weekends. For Hollister@290 apartment choices, this is probably the best.
Lived here for a wile now and its a very peaceful apartment complex also has a 24hr gym which is very convenient and the staff and maintenance keep this place spotless love it
Ive had a really good stay at Thornbury. Of course everyone has there bad reviews but you have to give them a chance at your own risk. I moved in my apartment 01/15/16 Ive never had a problem with anything expect my air conditioner that messed up 03/25/17 When I called the office on a Saturday Maintenance was knocking at my door within 10 min. Everybody in the office has been so good to me from Brittany to Eloisa to the leasing agents. I really really wish I could have renewed my lease but do to my situation unfortunately I had to relocate. I appreciate everyone for the great experience living at Thornbury. Parking was a little bit overwhelming but what apartment complex doesnt have problems with parking. Houston is expanding so dont let that scare you away. Thank you for my wonderful stay at Thornbury:)
One of the worst places i have ever lived at. Looks great from the outside but has one of the worst management staff ever. It took them over 9 months to fix a washing machine and dont let me get started on how long we have been waiting for our microwave to get replaced too. Overall the apartments look great but not worth it for the price, I have lived in worse looking apartments but the management in the office was great. If we ever had a complaint it took them at most two business days to fix it. Also the parking space is awful at these apartments, there is never any space and if you want a reserved parking space you have to pay $35 for a parking space with a roof on top.
Great place to live. Been here for six years. Love it.
Great staff, product and area! Close to everything our move-in was a breeze!
I recently went to The Thornbury looking for an apartment for my daughter. I ended up leasing a unit for myself. The staff was amazing. I was so pleased with the Customer Service the Office had!! I was not prepared for Such enthusiasm. I have had horror stories in the Past. Then they showed me the 2BEDROOM/2BATH on the first floor with hard wood flooring throughout the apartment! I fell in love with my unit. I will be moving by ****** Thanks Giving****** I am so happy. Now back to finding an Apartment for my daughter..~Trendzy
Thornbury apartments is an amazing place to reside, also the young woman in the office are impeccable and have customer services that rivals none .
I started to rent a one bedroom here two years ago, Well, As I was taking a tour of the grounds, I noticed three guys hanging out in the back parking lot, very young kids and they were smoking Miss Jane, That was a first sign, Second The unit I was looking at had mold in the bathroom,, Third thing as I was leaving a gentlemen approached me and ask if I was going to rent here, I said maybe, He said He was breaking his lease, Cause the Property was going to Fair Housing ( Section Eight ) next month, That told me everything I wanted to know. Glad I didnt rent there, You want to hear the Horror ending ? I made a body call there just Three weeks after I went there to check on an apartment. Yes it was a Homicide over a drug gang gone bad, WOW! Can you imagine that ? My advise, Stay Away, It is Section 8. ( Fair Housing ).
Its a very nice place, the staff was super nice and helpful . My experience here was great . I really recommend this place for anyone looking for a safe luxury apartment.
Don’t rent first floor! There is a lot of mosquito and cockroach! Also Can’t to use balcony!
Good place to live, the people are so sweet & Nice. We just moved like 6 months ago,me and my family really like it.
Love this place, a very nice community to live here I been here for 2 years and 5 months and I love here
Dont rent 1st floor!! Spiders in mosquitoes will eat you and all family members!!!
Very well maintained; staff is very friendly and always attentive to the residents; highly recommend!
Love the place been here for 2 yrs great staff . overall great experience!
Been in this complex for a while and so far is been a good experience and people in the office are very responsive and nice
The service I receive was the best ever, high recommended l enjoy living here.
My name is Miranda La Roche. I recently wrote a decent review on this place and Im taking it back. Parking has never been great here but recently it has gotten ridiculous. I understand I come home at late hours due to my job but there should be no reason why there are no parking spots. If by some miracle there appears to be one it is on the other side of the complex. 1. I have a leg injury that makes my leg swell up at night an it hurts a lot to walk that far. 2. It is not exactly safe to walk that far. and 3. why should I have to pay so much money if I cant even enjoy living here anymore. My boyfriend and I just renewed our lease and I am regretting it so much. I can honestly say I pretty much hate this place now. Needless to say after tonight and so many others of struggling to find a parking spot here Im done with this place. Supposedly we were supposed to get tags so this issue would not continue hmmm...that was well about 5 months ago and shockingly the issue has not been settled. I used to really love this place and now Im a foot out the door.
I have lived in this community for only a month and I have gone threw a great amount of issues. First one of my bedrooms was flooded wen I was moving in carpet was patched and done poorly. I have tried to contact corporate with however no answer from them my fridge till this day is leaking water and I have pictures and proof of how the roaches were found alive and dead inside my fridge. The flood was so terrible in my appt that they didn’t want to remove the carpet and were having difficulties with all the issue that it took them 15 days to take the carpet out fix the She rock and on top of that there maintenance people do there job so poorly that they sit around in work hours to fix there cars and bikes and people that require stuff getting fixed in the appts don’t get it and the office managers make up excuses for there staff members and the managers have very rude ways of leading with their tenants. That’s how corporate deals with issues wen we have problems with the office today I called and left several messages and nothing.
My experience there was terrible....I lasted only 5 months there before I was ready to find another place to live. They sure can take your money fast but when it comes to fixing things in my apartment they took there sweet time.
Great community love the attention they gave me and very great staff.
Good place to live in,They sometimes throw parties at the front office for the community to go at,Everyone knows each other it’s like a family here
The office staff is great! The Maintenace May take a little while but they get the job done
I want to stress whenever I say that I thought customer service was suppose to be helpful and top priority however, I guess not to this place. I was promised multiple fixes from leaks to other maintenance stuff I never had any work done. Only thing I received were unreasonable charges. Then when I tried to figured out why things weret happening the assistant manager was no help. Her name is Denise and she is very unprofessional and rude. I would never consider doing business here ever again !
We love our apartment at Thornbury Apartments and were happy that we chose this community.
Where do I begin. My husband moved on property in April. I was relocating from Galveston so he found the place and its been disastrous since day 1. He was moved into a dirty apartment, he could not do a walk through with the leasing agent because the carpets were wet so when he was able to get the keys we just started moving stuff in. The restrooms werent cleaned, nor was the kitchen. The shelf in the fridge was broken and when maintenance came to fix it, yes they came out ONCE, the TV was left on a channel no one in my household watches. Not surprised. The baseboards in the kitchen and restroom as well as the floors are disgusting. Im assuming the people who lived here before has either been here a while or didnt clean well because the floors are literally stained dirty. The AC filter as well as the filter on the microwave were also disgusting. We went into the office and spoke with Lydia, nothing happened, so we had to deep clean ourselves. The counters and under the cabinets are stained and the drawers and cabinets were poorly painted over. After the carpet dried we realized how disgusting it is and have advised the office of that for months before they decided to have them shampooed again, still horrible. The stove is broken so we have hell trying to cook because typically the heat goes to the side of the pot the stove is leaned towards. When the floors were supposed to be shampooed the guy never showed and my husband was advised the guy who had the key left with it and never returned, we were told the locks would be changed but they still havent been, thank God for renters insurance I suppose. I have called the office, emailed the manager, my husband has physically gone into the office, several times, nothing has happened. I have even emailed the management company and have not received a response. Every now and again we see roaches so we have had to pest control on our own because whatever they spray, on the odd chance they have actually come out doesnt work. We have two children, 10 and 11 months and this entire experience has been just horrible. I will never recommend anyone to move here, ever! The last time I called the office and spoke to Lydia I gave her a detailed list of all problems, called back two days later to check the status and she had no idea what I was talking about. Oh I also failed to mention our AC went out, mid August and we called the emergency line but werent able to speak to anyone until the office opened. Imagine having to keep a 10 month only calm with no AC. This whole situation has been an unimaginable hell and I cant wait until our lease is up so we are able to move! Do yourselves a favor and dont ever rent here!
WARNING: Horrible experiences with management! I waited to leave a review, hoping and giving them a chance to address my issues with being over billed and billed incorrectly. Phone calls and emails werent returned until I contacted the corporate office to file a complaint. Long story short, if you dont want a monthly headache & unnecessary stress, DONT RENT HERE!
Apartment always nice And clean but when it comes to csble you can’t replace wires you have to except what they already have set up that sucks
