Honest review here, pros: good place, apartments are elegant not bad with high ceilings, but cons: where to start, quality inside the apartments is old, security is 0 the gates are almost opened everyday for 4-5 hours, supposed to be gated community but its not, security guard sits on their phone, you dont believe me pass by at night and see yourself lol, they are cheap (thats my guess) because they take a while to get parts to fix stuff around the apartments or the complex itself. They use the blowers at 7:30 almost every other day and on Saturdays sadly. Always there something wrong with something (water pump, AC, electricity) the service is very bad, and lastly they dont clean outdoors stairs and hallways which is disgusting sometimes. But thats my own opinion of the place, wanna give it a try go ahead πͺ
If you want to have a good living, DO NOT COME HERE!Its hard to even say this place as a place to live since nothing is worth anything in these apartments. For one, there are frequent problems with everything, including the water and electricity. Although these apartments look new, DO NOT BE FOOLED! The water pressure became so low that the toilet stopped flushing, and when we asked the front office, they responded with we are not sure, and we cannot do anything about it. The place looks good at first, but DO NOT be fooled by the looks, living here is a horrible experience, not to mention the horrid behavior of the staff. They are not helpful at all, and just look at you like you did a crime whenever you say or ask something they dont want to hear. There is no basic human respect to any of the residents from staff members, and I have seen people struggling to simply have a good life. The cost is just... horrendous, I mean for everything. I cannot believe they charge this much for this place, and the fact is that I am certainly not the only one with these issues. I will be moving out AS SOON AS possible, and if you are looking at this place as a potential home, trust me when I say you will NOT be having a pleasant time.
To be fair from the beginning, this review is reflective of my experience and not the community as a whole.I moved in not long ago and within 30 days I was looking for a new place to live. While the apartment itself is nice, pricing is competitive, and the amenities are a nice touch, I have not had an enjoyable experience living here. One of the selling points in moving here was the alleged 3 foot crawl space in between units to minimize noise. I am not sure how much truth there is to this. I can hear my neighborβs tv everyday and my downstairs neighbor files a complaint on me anytime I get up to go the bathroom too fast. It is to the point where I am hesitant to walk in my own home which is a horrible feeling. Having company is completely out of the question and I find myself avoiding being home and when I am, tip toeing anytime I need to move to avoid violations and fines.Another noise disturbance comes from the maintenance crew leaf blowing the pool every week day between 8-8:30. I appreciate this is in attempt to keep the pool area tidy (which it always is), but I would think there is a quieter or better time to do this. Most times they are blowing one or two sticks and then proceed to generally walk around blowing nothing for a few more minutes. I do not even know if the leasing staff is aware as they do not open until 10, and although they face the pool, their area is much more insulated than any of the units are.Smaller areas of concern include the narrow garage. I have seen two cars get swiped as a result of both the narrow design and careless driving. It would also be nice if there were fans in the living rooms, especially in these hot summer months. I also wish they offered fiber for internet. AT&T said they cannot offer it here and blamed Augusta management, although there is no way to know if that is true. You wonβt realize how much you miss it until you donβt have it anymore!Besides that, I do think my experience could be much better if I lived in a different unit. Luck of the draw I guess! The pool area is nice and well maintained, the gym is kept clean by both residents and staff, the break or common area is also always clean and stocked with fresh popcorn and a rather fancy coffee machine. There is ample guest parking if you can navigate to the top floor without disaster. And to top it off, there are plenty of places within walking distance including bars, restaurants, convenience stations, etc.Maybe I can find a unit to transfer to and will revisit this review. In the interim, I would suggest being very selective about which unit and location you choose!
Ive been here for 7 months now. Love the place. The area is a plus. Residents are nice. Will definitely recommend to others.Only concern has been the water pressure has been low for more than a month due to the pump. Parts are hard to come by (Im guessing due to covid).
I dont recommend this plz, they gonna steal ur money dont come here
Apartment is nice. I love it, however, Itβll be nice to go a lease term without having to go hours without water. I have never stayed in an apartment that has went without water as much as these apartments have. And Iβm paying more here than I have at any other place. It sucks that after working all day, having a complete workout after work, then coming home to a place you pay bills at and canβt shower, wash hands or flush the toilet after taking a piss or shxt. It is 8:23pm and I canβt even take a shower to get ready for bed for work in the morning! Seems like pipes over here gets worked on every 3 months.
Love it here will be renewing my lease. So happy I chose this place for my very first apartment. The staff is amazing as well as the overall environment.
The leasing office staff and maintenance team treated me with kindness and respect, and always promptly assisted me with any needs I had. Overall I was satisfied with my living experience here.
We would like to thank The Augusta Apartments for a wonderful stay! It was a great location, very comfortable as if we were staying in a hotel. Surely, we will recommend this place to our friends. We would like to commend Ms. Beatrice for a job well done. She is very customer friendly and accommodating! Truly, she is an asset to the company!
If you are thinking about living here, please think twice. It looks good on the outside but once you get thru the leasing office door it just gets bad. The property management team is never going to help you. They just look for their own benefit.
I have lived at the Augusta for two years and I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am here. From the start, the office team has always been very welcoming, and they really try to give residents a sense of community. We have game nights, wine and cocktail nights, pool parties and Christmas parties- all year round there is something going on that you can be apart of. I feel like Erica and the staff at the Augusta honestly care if I like where I live. The gym, pool, courtyards, and community spaces are always well taken care of and if you have any issues with your apartment, maintenance is always quick to respond. We have a dog that we walk a few times a day, and I feel safe walking her here no matter how late at night. The office also knows our dog and will even give her treats when we stop by. The apartments themselves are gorgeous. They have a very open floor plan, with tall ceilings and windows that let in lots of natural light.I have lived in quite a few areas of Houston and I can definitely say that this property has offered the best experience.
There is definitely some discrimination going on. I have an excellent rental record, good income, no criminal background, never late with my bills, no delinquencies, no collections but somehow I was not approved for a $988 a month apartment. Im also black. When i found out the wrong income was used on the background check they refused to correct things and have yet to refund me my money. I even offered to pay the entire rent up front. Rude woman Erica gave me a shrill no. Im definitely looking to file multiple complaints. Someone is getting fired.Edit: so the response below suggests they investigated themselves and found no wrong doing. Dont worry, Ill make sure a 3rd party will do the investigating
Had a tour of here recently on a whim, and it was one of the best choices i made. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. The apartments themselves look better in person than in the photos, and the location is fantastic. Was given a great first impression of the property.
Itβs a great place to live!
Bad management therm donβt know what to doI donβt recommend
Bad managementDonβt deal with her
Great spot to live and so far so good. Front office staff always accommodating! The cafe is great, enjoy the specialty coffees early in the mornings and late evenings.
I absolutely fell in love with The Augusta. Unfortunately it did not love me back (have your financial ducks in a row!). The entire application process was a BREEZE though. A M(r)s. Erica was so professional and attentive (Thank you soooooo much Erica!). From this online only interaction I had with her I can only imagine the amazing customer service an actual resident receives! I absolutely will happily apply again in the future!
I have been living here for more than one month and I love it, right from the video tour, online application process and onboarding went smooth and apartment is located in the nice area. Gym and pools are well maintained and any maintenance request are taken care very quickly.
Love the location. The gym is nice and I love how there are cold towels available for us.
Iβve been living in the Augusta for almost 4 years now I canβt believe it! I love honest reviews and cherish honesty in every individual so here is my review: Despite the ups and downs (like everything in life) that this complex has gone through with the changes in management, I would like to congratulate Erica for the tremendously wonderful job she is doing right now, for her perseverance and daily efforts in making sure our complex stands out from the rest in the Galleria area. The Augusta Apartments is living its best moment currently with all the luxury top notch remodeling. I have recently done a thorough research for other apartments in the area for my parents who would like to move closer to me and I have to reiterate nothing beats the Augusta in price-quality-appearance. It is absolutely stunning and you will find nothing as modern in the area for the price you get, itβs hard to believe! Donβt get me started on everything we have but I will mention two things that I truly enjoy, the simply amazing pool and the recently added billiard table. One last thing is the distribution of the apartments is just perfect, made with love with the best materials, with breathtaking views. Iβm so pleased living at the Augusta which is only 8 minutes from work, unbeatable! To anyone searching for an apartment in the Galleria, I know it can be very hard to find the perfect one and I only heard of this complex from a lady who was also searching for an apartment that same day that I found the Augusta! It was meant to be and a true miracle and I want to help others out there like me, so come to the Augusta quick, you will not regret it!
I came in looking for the perfect move-in ready apartment and so glad I found exactly what I was looking for all thanks to Armando. He went above and beyond to find me my new home, he even waited for me to come in a little after closing time on two separate occasions to make sure everything was done right and to speed up my move in process since I needed to move in fast. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING ARMANDO. Happy to call Augusta Apartments my new home.
So far, so bad. Although the apartments are ok, trying to receive the refund of my deposit is being a nightmare. DonΒ΄t stay there if you donΒ΄t want to loose a lot of money.
My experience with the Augusta team has been awesome specially with the present manager not the past.Mabel is a totally oriented guest person. She is cordial, sweet, multitask and always showing eagerness to help everyone equally. She is great!!! I can easily see her in a greater position because she is always striving for excellence.Michelle is also a beautiful person and could definitely occupy a managerial position because of all the leadership skills she has.
This is the best apartments so far. The front ladyβs are so nice and will help with anything they very professional. I would recommend you to come here good neighbor nice neighbors I Love it Thank You So Much Augusta.
I absolutely LOVE the Augusta! I am an apartment locator here in Houston and The Augusta is a major go to for our company and for me personally! I always ask for Armando, because he is so professional and ALWAYS makes sure to take of any client we send his way. He always goes above and beyond to treat each client with respect and make sure they are happy from the moment we walk in the front door to the moment we get them in a new home! Definitely recommend The Augusta and remember to ask for Armando to get the best service!!
Moved in July 19,2019 I wish I could give 10 stars maintenance is fast completing repairs I love how quiet it is and the office staff is the best Claudia and Alicia are excellent and they know how to take care of us. If you need something ask and theyβwill try their best to help and always with great attitude and huge smile. I have enjoyed every single day Iβve been here no complaints pool is always clean and we enjoy wine and cheese nights
I really enjoy living at The Augusta Apartments. We have been here for a few months now and really enjoy the areas that are available for our pet as well as the front office staff. There are multiple apartment events where the community gets together and that are sponsored by the front office. The gym has plenty of space and I never have an issue finding machine to use.Any time we have an issue with the apartment, maintenance is always prompt and gets it taken care of. They are putting in all kinds of upgrades and I am very excited to see whats coming.
This is going on my third year staying at the Augusta and I LOVE IT! The leasing office staff, Michelle and Mabel are extremely welcoming, professional, and knows the residents by name so thatβs always welcoming. They are always helpful and when walking into the office their personalities are like a breath of fresh air, always in a bubbly mood, and ready to answer any questions or assist in any way.Maintenance requests usually gets handled within the same day I put my request in but definitely within 24 hours of putting my request in so thatβs always good! The maintenance men are so friendly and efficient. They are always willing to help with anything βextraβ if time permits.(Never had a bug or rodent problem)I love that they have events held for the residents a few times a month. They are always different and a bunch of fun. They range from cooking classes to brunch, to painting classes, meet and greets, pool parties and ect. Awesome ways to meet your neighbors. The Augusta is overall a great choice to live if you are looking for luxury apartments in the galleria area with friendly staff and neighbors.
I stayed in this apartment for 1.5 years.my First time in US, apartments are well maintained, secured, staff is very helpful. Maintenance issue raise a ticket, it will be done in a day. Definitely one of the best apartment around galleria area. I cleaned up my apartment before i moved out and i got full security deposit back.
Sparkle, the leasing agent, took care of all of our needs. Very professional and personable. I recommend that anyone looking for a new home stops by and see her!!
We have lived at the Augusta Apartments for 6 months, so I have a good feel about the place. Mabel, in leasing is so sweet and always welcoming! Michelle, a manager, is also sweet and very helpful with any issues I have. We have felt welcome from the beginning. Maintenance is easy to access through their website and very prompt. The pool and grounds are kept well. We live in a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath on the courtyard. There are 2 fountains and I enjoy the sound of the water and how they are lit at night. They always have a community get together with fun things to do and prizes to win! I love that part! It also lets you meet others in the community which you otherwise would not. This is a nice part for me because I moved from Florida. The pricing is pretty great for the Galleria area too! There is covered garage parking and assigned spaces, which is nice. I am happy we have found a great apartment complex to live!
Bad management
I leased an apartment here for business matters I have in Houston and I had previously had another apartment in the same area for 9 years. The people and the property here are fantastic. I particularly like the assistant property manager, Michelle. She is always pleasant and helpful and she calls you by name every time you see her. The resident activities here are really fun and the exercise classes are a challenge. It will be a fun summer here.
I have been here for one month. This is a fantastic place to live!!! For one the staff is super responsive and Mable really helped make sure everything was good to go when we were moving in. Any issue we have had with our apartment is handled within 24 hours with a smile. Onsite amenities are top notch with a beautiful luxury pool and a gym that is good enough I dropped my membership. If you are looking for an apartment in the Galleria area this is a place that you need to check out.
This community was one of my favorite visits while apartment shopping. The property was beautiful well kept and maintained. I drove around before stopping in and I was pretty impressed. When I went into the leasing center the office staff was so polite and helpful. My overall all experience was awesome.
I can say one of the best. It is very clean. Very nice people in the front office. They response to you quickly when you need help. The neighbors are kind. We lease this apartment for 7 month at first but extend our contract for another year. Now, we hesitate to move to our house.
This apartment complex is great all around. The visitor parking is a hassle since its the longest to get to. Since the elevators arent easy to get from here, it makes it quite difficult to transport things to and from the car.
Iβve been a vendor for this location for a few years now. Office staff has always been great to us. This property Is always on top of the repairs needed. Always appears clean and maintenance is taking care of the place.
They have 1 employee working on Saturdays which Iβm sure is one of the busiest days to lease. Iβm a current resident and was waiting in the office to get a package for 30 minutes with no sign of anyone. No signage of βout touring property, out of office be back soonβ nothing. On my way back upstairs I ran into Mable (Augusta staff) who I kindly asked if she could get a package for me I was in a bit of a rush. Not only did she say no, but she couldnβt even give me a definite time to go back and meet her to get my package βmaybe 30 minutes, Iβm not sureβ. Poor service and poor choice to have 1 employee working on a Saturday.
It is a great property at great location
I just went to ask for prices today. Oh man, the woman there was so rude. It seems like she didnt even want to talk. I wouldve liked to talk with a different person but she actually said that she was the only one there at the moment.
Place is nice and feels safe. Great price for the location. However, Iβve never had so many maintenance issues living in apartments as much as this one. Iβve been living here only four months and electricity has gone out three times for long periods of time. The water has shut down, twice. Elevator never works. Seems like there is always something happening.
I lived here for 15 months. 4th Floor.Bad:*The Air Conditioners are old units. They waste lots of energy and rarely cool down the house when its hot outside. We got an electric bill reaching 300 once. The apartment did all they could. They sealed the doors and check the A/C but they always found out it was working good. Then again we lived on the top floor (4th floor).*The elevators broke ever so often. Maybe once a month.*The garage doors would break ever so often. Maybe once every two months.*We got a bill at move out for $75.00 for fixing the walls when it was unnecessary. Disputing this was received with no response.*Initially, they sold us on an 18-month contract. When we signed the contract, they said corporate didnt allow 18-months ONLY 15.*Management is slow to respond to issues. Except when it comes to maintenance issues - they were good on that. Except for the A/C issue.*Someone hit our vehicle in the garage. No response was ever given from the office when we requested footage. We called for weeks.*Trash always piles up, but thats everywhere.*Gas grill by the pool was broken since move-in. As far as I know, it is still broken.Good:*Beautiful set-up.*The kitchen is nice. Lots of storage.*Balconies are small but ample.*No ceiling fans or lights in living room.*Nice interior walking areas for small dogs.*Friendly neighbors with dogs.*Parking is convenient but parking spots are small/narrow.*No roaches, rats, or loud neighbors. No theft.
I have been living at The Augusta apartment complex for about a year. As an international, I am happy to live in a community that makes me feel in my home country. The Augusta team has been doing an awesome job. I would like to congratulate Rachel, Jennifer, and the young guy that works on the front desk, you guys are awesome. In the Augusta complex, they care about the concerns and questions of the residents.Every month there are different fun activities on the calendar, including pool parties, mixology/cocktail lessons, glass painting, and more. In addition to those fantastic events, the complex creates a schedule and invites great food trucks. The gym center is an very useful facility open 24/7, so there is no excuses to not be in shape. The Augusta Team is always ready to help you solve any problem that you face in the property. I wish that they keep up with the awesome work, which make make me feel secure and happy in the community
I had a good review beforehand, but Iβm changing it due to the charges I just received after move out.We hung up 3 items on the wall. 2 mirrors and my diploma. How is it possible that these drywall repairs were $124???I cleaned out the entire apartment before we left, everything was wiped down and removed. Somehow we got a $50 trash fee.Cleaning fee was $150.Itβs crazy how all of these fees add up to exactly what we had down as a deposit and the credit we had on our account.
Awesome Staff!!! Was an awesome experience to lease our new home. We cannot wait for move in day!!!
Management isnβt professional and doesnβt keep their word with their tenets despite having agreements in writing.
I had an horrible experience, almost as if i was discriminated against. Never have i had to deal with a management who was making up ways to make it hard for you or uncomfortable to either want to move in or stay there. I heard good things about this place but from what i experienced from management was horrible.
My wife and I are very satisfied and happy to live here.
Wonderful place to live!!! Staff are very friendly and professional. Maintenance deals with issues within a day or two.
ProsThe apartment is well located thats what I like the most .heb is a block away on San filepe . Across the street you karoake and a couple of bars and prospect Park bar is 7 mins walk away (Uber (4$) )Maintenance is pretty quick Everytime I put in a request the come withing a few hours esp Jose . Hes always there within a hr after maintenance request .Everyone has assigned parking and there is still alot of parking love it sometimes I come back late and my spot is there .They have cop on premises sometimes outside the gate at night but most of the time security sits outside or drives around . Decent and working class neighbors, some are student as wellOverall is a nice place to live cant beat the price and location its pretty luxurious too .just resigned another 18month lease . So its a good bang for your buckConsTraffic leaving westhiemer from 5pm guess the effects of living in the galleria, have no view at all a black building killing my view, not sure what else I dont like here . So far thats it
Augusta Apartments one of the best places to live in town.
Best Complex EVERRRRR... These guys continue to amaze me.. I have renewed my lease for the 4th time!!!
Great location, walking distance to almost everything you need.
This apartment is a great place to live.
I have been living at The Augusta apartment complex for about a year and a half. I like my neighbors: residents are very diverse, polite, intelligent, and pet friendly.I am looking forward to remaining as a resident here for multiple reasons.First, I feel here that I am part of a truly friendly community and that I have a place that I can call home. Our property manager Erica and her team including Jennifer, Rachael and the young gentleman, to name a few, are always genuinely friendly, attentive. I think many other complexes need to learn from them about high-quality customer service. They care about your concerns, questions, they act and follow up on them.Second, importantly, the Augusta CARES team also helps top all other complexes. Every month we have fun activities on the calendar, including football nights, pet friendly outdoor parties, pool parties, mixology/cocktail lessons, glass painting, and more. In addition to those fantastic events, the complex creates a schedule and invites great food trucks, so far I tried pancakes and look forward to tasting other things.Third, you can remain in shape thanks to regular free onsite fitness classes by energetic Melissa. No excuses! In addition, maintenance requests are fulfilled on time. To me this is important, and there are no issues there. And I would like to stress that things are not only great now, but they are also getting better and better. Some of the upcoming and in-progress things I noticed are: the 24/7 cafΓ© and business center, upgrading of the furniture/dΓ©cor in the club house, complimentary bicycles (not joking!), repainting of the entire community and hallways, new fitness equipment and flooring, redesigning of the elevators, Wi-Fi in the pool area. For example, just a few weeks ago, the garage was washed entirely from the roof to the ground floor.Only positive things come to mind when I think about my apartment complex. I think the entire team at The Augusta is doing an awesome exemplary job, and my only wish for them is please keep up the fantastic way you make us feel at The Augusta. I am glad you read my post, and I really recommend you to join the community and enjoy it. I am a real person, so feel free to message me if any questions. This apartment complex is a genuine pearl.
Rude management. Garage gate and elevators dont work from time to time. Not recommended.
It has mice. Also found droppings under the oven.
Poor service...
Bad Nuisance continuously
