I was living next door at 36Sixty for a year. I decided to come check nextdoor here at Metropole when my lease was up. I scored an awesome deal on a HUGE one bedroom. Elisa was so helpful in helping me find the perfect unit with all the space I needed. Ive been here for a month and love my apartment and the fact that we have food trucks weekly and Im minutes away from work.
Had an awful experience! Lived there for 4 years. Each year grew worse and more expensive as the amenities decreased and the rents escalated. Roaches, even though they sprayed. The front gate seems continually broken or smashed. At least two gun shoot-outs on the property that I know of.Roscoe Properties seem to have given up trying. My refrigerator broke and they brought me another one from an empty apartment. It was dirty and as I was cleaning it roaches crawled out.The dumpster is frequently overflowing and a magnet for the homeless. It wasn’t uncommon to see a random person pilfering through the abandoned furniture and trash that piled up around. Given that the gates are frequently inoperable it’s not hard to wander through. When I lived there the parking lot consisted of respectable and well maintained cars. In the four years I lived there the quality of tenant and their cars, have gone down. Many appear abandoned. You used to see people go overseas for months at a time and put covers over their cars. Now, it’s more abandonment. They took away the concierge, the coffee bar is useless; they don’t stock cups so you’ve got to bring your own. We used to hide disposable cups behind the books on shelves of the coffee bar but then they stopped having coffee for Covid and when they did bring it back there often wasn’t coffee. It was nice when I moved in. There was a car and driver available on the weekends, concierge until 9pm for packages and arriving guests, respectable tenants who didn’t shout, fight and shoot each other. There are so many rental options available. It might be a good idea to search elsewhere.
I am loving my new home! I moved into Metropole in early August and the whole experience was excellent! Everyone in the leasing office (special thanks to Trilby and Elisa!) made the whole process seamless from beginning to end! The pool and amenities are awesome and I love the weekly food trucks! Keep up the great work, Metropole!
I moved into a 1 bedroom a few weeks ago at Metropole. I really enjoy all the amenities, nearby restaurants, and how helpful everyone in the leasing office has been. The best value for a one bedroom in River Oaks for all the square footage you get! Highly recommend!!!
Lived here for about 2 1/2 years. Overall an okay apartment. Monthly amenity fee which is fine but sometimes the amenities were not available. High turnover rate within Roscoe properties so you deal with new people every time. My neighbors in the high rise were very friendly. Good apartment for any breed of dog. My Great Dane got to live here which was nice.
I have lived at The Metropole for the past 4 years and absolutely love the new staff. Everyone is the office is friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness of the property is the best that Ive seen thus far and the updates to the amenities are amazing! I just renewed my lease for another 13 months and look forward to another amazing year with this team and more community improvements.
Horrible place to live! The building is not well kept, parking garage is in the back of the units, which means you must walk around the building to get to your apartment. Inside the unit you can hear your neighbors conversations as if their in your living room and when the upstairs neighbors flush the towel you’ll hear it every time because of the old pipes. The hallways are dirty and hot with stained carpet. This is supposed to be a dog friendly residence but there is no where to walk the dogs, no grass areas. There have been 3 shoots around the property, with 2 of them actually being on the property. The front gate is always a broken, which has caused vehicles to be broken into and not to mention my neighbor being robbed. The dumpsters are always overflowing with tray leading into the parking garage. Limited parking and spaces are to small to even park a Rav 4 (small SUV). I tired of talking about this place just make sure to do your homework. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!
Ive been living at The Metropole for almost 4 years now. Ive seen a great improvement when management changed to Roscoe property management. The property is spotless and the staff is great. Ricky has helped me renew my lease and made the process easier than expected.
The apartment amenity fees increased without any notice this month. In addition, their amenities include a swimming pool which I found dirty, and had dead cockroaches, its been a week nothing changed. There is also a 24-Hour coffee bar lounge which has no coffee for almost a week. Lastly, there are 2 gas grills by the pool which is out of service for more than a month, very disappointing!! . I have been here for 3 years, and this is the worst management managed this place.
I enjoyed living at Metropole for the past 2 years. The staff made me feel at home through my entire time there. Also, the location was great since I could walk to work to the Greenway Plaza. I recently bought a home and had to move. The assistant manager, Ricky, helped me through the entire move out process. I would recommend anyone I know that wants a great apartment with an great view to Metropole.
I toured with Elisabeth. The tour went well. Being new to the state and new to Houston with a new job offer, apartment searching was overwhelming. Elisabeth was very informative with showing me the proximity of what I now call home to all things Houston. I am now moved in and and happy, I have a huge one bedroom in the middle of the city!
Moved in about 6 months ago, The whole office staff was very kind, friendly and welcoming . I haven’t had any issues yet since moving here but anytime I have any questions or concerns they answer them promptly. I love my apartment, I love it here. Very satisfied!
They keep changing the maintenance more than four times. every time I put a request, I see a new face and when I ask them they say we come from another company, they last for two weeks then they disappear !!!! some of them have no experience and are unable to fix! I feel unsafe to have strangers come to fix something in my house without knowing them.
I recently moved out after living at Metropole for 3.5 years and had experienced 3 different changes in management. When I first moved in here, it was a highly sought after apartment community that rarely had availability. Over time, amenities were cut and staff turnover was frequent. Overall, grounds are not well maintained and have only gotten worse since Roscoe took over management. Hallways look trashy, half the lights are out, and it smells like weed. Feral cats live in the garage and climb all over your car. Parking lot level 3 and half of level 4 and 5 have spaces that are painted too small that a compact car won’t fit in, so if you aren’t home early on weekdays to grab a lower level spot, you’re parking on the top floor meant for visitors - or trying to squeeze between vehicles and hope someone doesnt back into your car. Trash rules are constantly violated and management does nothing about it. Front doors of the high rise do not remain locked outside of business hours; the door is always cracked, so the security access is not in place. Elevators are down often. Poor communication - management is a nightmare to deal with and does not respond to calls or emails in a timely fashion. During quarantine when most, if not all, residents were working from home, they shut off the water to the community for 3 days without notice. You could not shower, brush your teeth, wash dishes, or use the toilet for 3 days. The office only gave every resident 6 small bottles of water to get by after 2 days of no water. Amenities were removed in 2020 due to COVID but they still made residents pay the monthly amenity fees. As of early 2021, only a few of the amenities had reopened and were only open for limited time slots during the day when most people are working. When it was time for my last renewal, they offered me a 10% increase in rent when new leases (on higher, more premium floors) were being advertised below my current rate, plus offering specials that included 6 weeks free. As a long-time resident, I was discouraged Roscoe would do this (my last renewal was with a different management team). After several weeks of me having to follow up and being lied to about this process, they finally agreed to honor my current rate. However, by this point, I had already decided to move out. Unless Roscoe is bought out by another leasing company, I would suggest looking elsewhere for an apartment.
The property management company has changed no less than three times since I have lived here. Each time amenities are reduced. Recently the security patrol was removed. This has resulted in a surge of crime at this community. I do not feel safe living here. Some doors do not properly lock. For the doors that do, the code to open them is known by every uber eats driver, amazon delivery personnel or anyone who has visited the property over the past decade.
Absolutely zero security. Frequent break-ins. Management refuses to address the issue.
I lived here for 2 years and moved out recently. The walls between units are so thin that you can hear when your neighbors talk, shout and when they are on their phone. I was able to hear the foot steps from apartment above. I could hear them vacuum, the stomping, when they drop objects. The wood floors give a nice impression when you tour this place, but there is no sound proofing. There was a lot of cost cutting after Roscoe properties took over.Few months ago there was a water problem in the building and there was no water for 48+ hours during the pandemic. There was no water to flush the toilet forget about showering for two days. The management handled this issue badly. We were not informed what the problem was and they kept saying repairs will be completed in 5- 6 hours every time we asked for an update and it took them 48+ hours. Try and imagine how bad it was for the tenants. They offered us 250ml water bottles on day 2, that didnt help us in anyway.I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. At one point I had noise coming from above, from the right and the left and it affected my sleep, my sanity and my work and I had to move out.
I lost my package 3 times within the past couple months (they were stolen on the premises). Management did NOTHING to help and did NOT propose a realistic solution (such as installing camera in the hall way for example), except for telling me to send my packages elsewhere, which is not a solution at all. Would not recommend this apartment to anyone. Stay away!
I’ve been here for about a year and they are amazing. They work with you from the moment you apply. I’ve had a roommate issue and it was really stressing me out. Luckily they worked through everything I was going through and have successfully solved my problem. I think I can stay here for about 2 more years! I love it here.
I’ve lived here for a year now and I’ve gotta say.. the location is great! It’s also only half a mile away from the park which is great for joggers out there especially during quarantine. The garage is small but it’s not a big deal, as long as you know how to drive you should be good. The pool is also great and the staff are extremely helpful! Beautiful complex and very affordable for the location.
Does anyone here ever answer the phone ? I’m calling to inquire about an apartment available online but no one has answered the office for the last 5 days . Which is giving me bad vibes already
Just moved in a month ago, and this morning at 530 multiple bullets went into our apartment on the 6th floor. Police think someone was aiming at our place. Waiting to hear back from corporate As me and my roommate no longer feel safe. Glass still on the floor 7 hours later, as management doesnt consider this an emergency
I’ve been at this property for 3 weeks. I absolutely love my apartment. It’s quiet, clean, spacious and my floor plan is amazing with a great view. The staff has been extremely helpful from beginning to end. I enjoy the amenities and the events that really bring the community together.
If youre looking to be inside the loop for a good price, Metropole is for you. I love my apartment because its spacious and affordable. I can also walk to work! Management got the parking spots repainted so our spots are more spacious now. Love it here!
The location is great, safety is good, the front desk staff are wonderful, but they brought a new Starbucks coffee machine and then they stopped bringing the coffee cups and asked us to get our own cups. The coffee machine needs a lot of work and it’s always broken. Every weekend and Monday morning, the coffee machine is not working either it’s broken or no coffee and water. Sometimes they let the maintenance guy fix it and he knows nothing about it!. Even though they’re charging us $15 a month for this coffee and others idk what others to be honest!!!!
As a Design Professional, my work has taken me all over the World. I have stayed in short term, furnished corporate apartments all over the US, and globally, from Dubai to Shanghai. I have to say that my stay in Houston with Metropole Apartments, is hands down the best apartment experiences I have had thus far!Letty & Monique manage an amazing front office team . Bailey and Ashley are always happy, attentive and professional in their assistance to tenants.I had a maintenance issue come up late at night, and it was handled immediately. The coffee lounge, gym, massage room, entertainment lounge, swimming pool, trash valet, package delivery, and other amenities and services make it feel more like a hotel stay rather than apartment living.Excellent location for shops, restaurants,Freeways, and downtown.Fantastic value when considering the location and all of the amenities !I highly recommend that you consider Metropole when sourcing an apartment home near downtown!
This place is amazing! The managers and all the staff is very attentive to the residents needs. Would highly recommend.
I am coming up on my first year. From the time I viewed my now apartment to the present, my stay has been fantastic. The ladies in the front office always greet you with a smile and professionalism. I love that the front office is open 7 days a week.So what are the downsides you ask? I really dont have any. Its an apartment complex. You will hear some noise or in my case very little. Things might break but maintenance is there to fix it in a couple of days if not the same day.So there you have it, a great apartment, with great staff, and reasonable rent for living within the loop.
My first impression of Metropole so far has been a good one. My boyfriend and I have been working with Erika Perez and she has made our experience with leasing a breeze. She is very good at following up and even honored a special for us at a later time when she didnt have to. We really do appreciate all of her help and were excited to live in our new home. If you should choose to stop by, be sure to ask for her! Thanks, Erika!
The staff in the front office are beyond sweet. Love my apartment, the maintenance team have been responsive so far. However, the trash valet service is very POOR, especially the fact that you have a mandatory fee to fund this service they choose when they want to work. Since I moved here I have had several issues with my trash not being picked up and when they do they leave so much trash in front of my door or in hallways. I have submitted various complaints but NOTHING has been done about it. I seriously cannot wait to move.
This is my second month here at Metropole and so far this complex has exceed my expectations. The apartments are great, very good looking, also the location its amazing, I have pretty much all that I need close from here, groceries, good restaurants, bars, pharmacies, gym, the Galleria and of course Downtown its 10 min driving from here. Also, the staff was very nice during the leasing process, Monique helped us a lot during this, in fact, in less than a week my apartment was ready.I am very happy with my decision, for sure this is a great option to consider if you are looking to move around this area.
When I first walked into Metropole I met Erika and she was wonderful from the beginning. She was able to help me find an apt under my budget and made the experience of apt hunting painless. After I decided I want to move there Erika made the process as easy as possible, always keeping in touch and making sure everything was good. If I had any questions regarding the paperwork that was required she was quick to answer and very helpful.Thank you Erika for making this move a smooth transition.
Terrible, terrible, terrible. Honestly dont bother with this dump.
Terrie is the reason why we moved in here. She is wonderful, kind, and honest. We eventually met Joe who was always on top of things, addressed all of our issues quickly and satisfactorily, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. For quite some time, we were very glad and felt lucky to call this place home. For the past month or so, a company named Roscoe has taken over and it feels indifferent and cold here now. Our issues are not taken care of in a timely manner or they come by and take care of part of a maintenance request and claim they will come back but dont. Right after taking over they sent out notices that if you dont pick up your packages within 3 days that it will be returned to sender. Too bad if your job has you traveling around a lot! Doors that lead to apartment hallways are not locked and no word on when they will get fixed. Most of the doors my scan key doesnt even work. Our family misses the warmth and care that Greystar and the old management had for its residents. When that time comes, we will not renew. Weve only started looking, but there are too many high rises in Houston with exceptional management teams in the same price point that have better amenities and service.
I’ve really enjoyed my first year here at Metropole. Management team IS so supportive of residents and takes the time to make this our home.
Cool place
Living at the Metropole is fantastic! The reason why my partner and I chose the Metropole over other luxury apartment communities was our experience with Haley Donaldson during our first visit to the property. Her courtesy and professionalism made us feel right at home and we knew immediately that we had found the perfect community. We also love the amenities! We especially love the concierge service. The concierge Micheal is always in such good spirits. Even when I have a lousy day at the office, he can bring a smile to my face with his upbeat, quirky attitude. Plus the pool is awesome and the first-class fitness center avoids the cost/hassle of a gym membership. The property is also well maintained, and management quickly resolves issues in a timely and professional manner. Would recommend anybody who wants a more personable living experience to move to the Metropole!
Good apartments and great location. The staff is generally friendly. Parking is not great. Management has changed three times since I live there; from good, to great, to not so good.
Ashly and Bailey are the best of the best! They are extremely knowledgable and made the leasing process so easy. Took the time to explain everything clearly and made you feel welcomed from the moment you entered the door. The community is amazing with a wide variety of floor plan styles and excellent amenities. If you are looking to live in the Greenway area, look no further!
Having lived here since ‘14 I have been through several office teams and one change of property management. The current team lead by Letticia and Monique has been an outstanding group. They are very prompt responding to maintenance request and answering any other questions.
I have been living at Metropole for over a year and it has been a great experience... Nice units, amenities and location! The office staff (Michael, Letticia, Victoria and Amy) and all maintenance employees are great, super nice people and helpful to residents with what ever is needed. It is a really nice community! :)
Moved here from The Belmont. Starting from our application process till now, our experience with the leasing agent and the property manager is GREAT! Having lived here for several months now, really LOVE it.The design of this luxurious apartment is very inviting and the facilities are well maintained. The location is awesome and is close to everything. We learned from the past experience of the importance of management team. We are so happy with the existing management team at Metropole!
Beautiful luxury style apartments! The staff is always so friendly and attentive. Victoria has helped me many times and I appreciate how she always make you feel like family instead of just another person. The apartments offer many great amenities and are located near some of the best food and all the great shopping Houston has to offer! Id recommend living here to anyone whos asks!!

I have worked in property management for 10 years and this is the best community I have encountered thus far. Im proud to say that I am a resident at the Metropole as the staff is amazing and they have a free chauffeur on the weekends which I use all the time. I also love the fact that there is a concierge that stays until 9 or 10pm every night so you can pick up packages. Oh Yeah... they also have an espresso machine with 24hr access. I would highly recommend living here.
I moved in in May and do not regret it, I love it here. The grounds are well kept and the management team is awesome, helpful and always courteous. The pool area is beautiful and I love the floors in my place. It doesnt hurt that my work commute is 5 minutes (or less), thats probably why I love everybody and everything; however, having a nice, quiet, beautiful place to call home doesnt hurt either.
Great apartment building. Its quiet so Im never complaining about noise. .The people are very nice. The people who work in the office know me by name so its very homey. They just finished remodeling the pool area and it is PERFECT. I love bringing people over because they are so impressed. The only issue I have is that I have to walk a lot to get from the elevator to my room. I wish there was a closer elevator.
If you are reading this, you are probably considering living here. You might look at the reviews below and wonder if all this drama is even worth your time. (Ill address the reviews below in a moment.) As for my experience at the Metropole, its been fantastic. The metropole feels like home to me. Now Im a bit a simple, but what I look for in a home is:-> Its safe (yup)->Its relatively clean (yes)->Its Quiet (most of the time, sure)Thats it. The ameneties - such as the pool, coffee room, and gym- are just icing on the cake. Now, Im decently handy, so changing light bulbs and air filters are not a huge deal for me. But keep in mind that if you do need help, maintenance is usually swamped, and it could take a while. The staff deserve a special mention. No matter how long theyve been working, the staff always greets me warmly. Amy, Letty, and Victoria with their beautiful smiles, and Juan and Michael are hilarious. (Plus they have cookies and lemonade)No place is perfect, and honestly the cons have already been mentioned (mostly long walks to the parking lot, but Ive lived in other cities and the walk was longer and more outdoorsy so I cant complain)______________________________________________________________________________
Best apartment complex Ive lived in since arriving in Houston in 2013. Beautiful apartments with floor to ceiling windows in the high rise (I just love the sunsets). Great amenities! Office staff are so nice and helpful. I wish they were condos, I would buy a corner apartment in an instant. Photo is feom.a sunset facing the galleria (Ignore the T-Rex)
Parking spots are too small! The parking spots on the inclined ramps of the parking garage are irregular starting on the 3rd floor measuring at 6’7”. The parking spots on the first two floors and on the flat levels on each floor measure at 8’1”. My car’s width with only one door opened just enough to squeeze out is 6’7”. That being said, the small parking spots are just big enough to fit my car in it. With a car parked next to you, there’s no room to get in and out or get things from the backseat if you need to. The parking spots are also on an incline so even if you squeeze out you have to be extra careful to catch the door so that you don’t damage a neighbor’s vehicle. Why the balancing act? If a truck or bigger car parks next to me then it’s complete hell. If they’re parked on/over the line it gets tricky. The spot is so small that as a driver I have to let the passenger out and ask them to grab stuff before pulling in. It’s so inconvenient and annoying.Parking CultureI don’t think it’s right that you draw such close lines in the parking garage and leave your residents to suffer because of your mistakes. I’ve lived here almost a year and since day one EVERYONE has double parked on levels 3, 4, and 5. One person over the line starts a ripple effect. Some start the ripple effect because they are tall, had damage to their vehicle, or even just because it’s too tight and uncomfortable. I’ve talked to neighbors about this but we just complain and go on about our business. Not one day goes by that someone doesn’t double park. So how do you create a culture here that I’m forced to adapt to and penalize me when I do? I’m penalized for surviving these less than normal parking conditions!
Metropole definitely looks nice. It has amenities that will likely impres you. The downside is the noise and tenants here.If youre looking for a 20 something party environment then youve found the right place. Tenants here love to cause a ruckus during the week late at night. Either in the pool or on their patios for the paper thin walls and single pane windows to easily transfer their obnoxiousness.Tenants seem to have opted into a group buy of sound systems as many of them love to turn their bass up and disturb your peaceful abode. It does not matter if theyre next to you, above you, or under you, you will hear their impeccable taste in music.Complaints to the management only do so much. No one is held accountable for disturbing your right to peace.Oh and the garage is such a joy. Tenants love to speed around corners that they cannot see. Its always a pleasure to brake for your life everyday. If you are a business professional looking for a quiet environment, do yourself a favor, look elsewhere. As I am writing this there is a group of young ladies blasting their music, singing along. At midnight. On a Tuesday. On their patio.Oh what a joy.
Girlfriend and I moved in here. The place is unbelievable in how nice it is. The staff is so friendly. The amenities are superb. Honestly I didnt realize how little I was getting for my money at my old place till I moved here. Highly recommend coming here.
I had looked at numerous apartments before coming to the Metropole. I decided on the Metropole not only due to the location, but because of the great experience I had with leasing agent Erika. She was extremely polite, professional and went above and beyond showing me the amenities even though she stayed late doing so. I could tell that she truly wanted me to know everything about the property so I could make my decision. In the end, my decision to sign the lease here was because of her. It is nice to live in a complex where I know that someone like Erika is there if I have any issues.
I was very happy when I moved here a couple years ago but the common feeling between residents is that the overall quality has decreased significantly in the past several months, particularly after it was acquired by Roscoe. Im always worried about security because doors and gates are often left open, the cleanliness has decreased in common areas, nothing in common areas is replenished anymore, speed of service requests etc. I would not recommend anyone moving in at this time and locking themselves into a lease during a downward trend like this. Its also difficult to escalate problems now -- last week they claimed to have lost our key for maintenance (which again worried me from a security perspective), and when we tried to find a direct means of emailing or calling a manager we couldnt.... judging from the responses to the reviews this has now become the most effective way to get a response.
I enjoy living at the Metropole. The location is convenient, the amenities are decent, I think the apartment floor plans are some of the best in the area, and Ive had great interactions with the staff. But, if you choose to move here there are a few things you should be aware of. First of all there are a LOT of hidden fees on top of your rent, including: amenity fee $20, valet trash fee $30, trash administration fee, pest fee $5, sub-metered water, sub-metered sewer, drainage/storm water allocation, drainage-storm water administration fee, and beginning 9/1/2019 a new fee if you intend to pay your rent by eCheck, credit card, or debit card. The only way to pay your rent for free is to mail in a check or money order (which, of course, costs postage). Additionally, while much of the building is well-kept many of the stairwells smell of dog urine and many renters do not clean up after their pets in common outside areas. To their credit management has tried diligently to solve this issue but they are up against a lot of inconsiderate pet owners. Parking can also be annoying as many spaces are too small for larger cars so SUVs/trucks/and sedans often take up two spots. This means that if you get home after 7 you will likely have to park on the upper floors of the garage (floors 4-6). Management has also warned renters of this issue but I feel as though they could be a little more diligent. Driving down Richmond can also pose a problem on Sundays or between 4pm and 7pm on weekdays when traffic is directed for Greenway Plaza tenants. Finally, there is a small bat colony that lives in the third floor of the parking garage (you can often smell them and hear their echolocation). Ive never heard of anyone actually being bothered by the bats - and I personally think its kinda cool - but its something to be aware of.All in all I enjoy living here but there are definitely some downsides to consider before leasing.
I lived here for a year and had a horrible experience just about the entire time.
Worst apartment Ive ever stayed at. They switched management from greystar and everything got worse. Parking is horrible here. I lived on the first floor and always had to park on visitors floor. They do not enforce towing here so people park wherever they want. You see cars that have been parked there forever and have collected dust. There are also trash bags that pile up in the parking garage on weekends because there are no trash cans or trash pick up on weekends. We finally moved out and apparently they do not do automatic payment for our last utility bill because of their policy and decided to report us to collections. No email or phone calls were made. They said they sent us a letter on July 26, 2018 and its been barely a week and theyve reported us. In my past experiences, if there was an issue with billing after move out, we were contacted via email, telephone, and by mail.
Due to your negligence, a ripple effect of events led to and resulted in costing me $240, lots of time trying to coordinate transportation to and from work while being over an hour late, and time getting my car after work which made me late to another engagement.I woke up to a missing car on September 14th. In a panic, I went from floor to floor wondering what happened. I called the phone number listed on the parking signs in the parking garage and was told that my car had been towed. I then asked why my car was towed and to my surprise the lady says “It’s been classified as a prisoner’s tow.” She explained to me what a prisoner’s tow is and I immediately started to panic thinking my car had been stolen. The lady gave me a phone number to call to get more information, in which case I spoke with another dispatcher to get more details. The next dispatcher tells me that my car was towed for being double parked. According to the manager, several people were towed for the same thing, but there were still several cars double parked on every floor that morning.I have several issues with getting towed for double parking despite the real issues at hand:Parking spots are too small!:The parking spots on the inclined ramps of the parking garage are irregular starting on the 3rd floor measuring at 6’7”. The parking spots on the first two floors and on the flat levels on each floor measure at 8’1”. My car’s width with only one door opened just enough to squeeze out is 6’7”. So how do you create a culture here that I’m forced to adapt to and penalize me when I do? I’m penalized for surviving these less than normal parking conditions!Abandoned vehicles:There are at least two vehicles on the property that have not moved since I moved in. One car is a white SUV on the top floor of the garage with at least 3 warning stickers that have now eroded although some words are still visible, and has been jacked up. And several other cars showing clear signs of abandonment. So one car gets warnings and the other gets free storage without warnings, yet there was no warning for me double parking like I’ve done since I moved in.Kaysi Higgins(Pg 1 of 2)
I have been living in this apartment for more than two years so far and I am very sarisfied with it. It is placed in one of the best areas of the Houston city, it is safe and secure. The office management group are all nice and helpful, specially monique ( assistant manager) and Amy (office member ). They do their best to take care of your concerns. The apartments, are well designed and comfortable to live in.
Love Amazon Prime! So convenient to make the order and have it in two days...or less! Easier than fighting traffic to the big stores outside of the loop!
Im not going to write a long articulated review and will just the facts.1. Best bang for your buck.2. Awesome view if youre lucky enough to live in the mid-rise building.3. Beautiful facility!4. professional and courteous management and staff.5. Location Location Location6. most of the tenants are friendlyAnd last but not least the tenant who complains about noise in an apartment community, especially if its at 10:30 PM on a Friday or Saturday night. You shouldnt live here, anywhere in the inner loop/Upper Kirby area or anywhere within 15 miles from Houston. Id suggest for you to live in Sealy, TX.
Gorgeous LUXURY style apartments. Apartments are super spacious with great amenities. They are also kept clean and quite. Love, Love greystar! The staff is always amazing and attentive. Plus being off of Richmond your in reach of some of the best food and all shopping Houston has to offer. Terrie is a rockstar and together with Ariel and Beverly you have an amazing team to lean on that make you feel like your speaking more with friends than leasing staff.
Ive had friends live here before and thought about it in my search for a new apartment. Its a nice apartment complex from the outside, but its even better once you get to see the inside. What stood out for me, and as a person who has lived in apartments for the better half of the past decade, was the customer service and care I received from the leasing office personal, primarily Erika Perez. If youve ever lived in an apartment, you understand how important a good leasing/front office is. She was the only one in the office when I went in on Saturday, but still provided exceptional service and although I had to wait, I didnt feel neglected. After my tour and application, she kept in touch and helped make the process feel much easier, quicker and smoother. Erika was wonderful, with the help she provided it assured me that the front office is capable and dedication to its tenants. Thanks Erika.
The apartment and facility is amazing, however I gave them 2 stars solely because the service from a leasing agent was horrible. I work in sales, so I know the importance of understanding what clients want and delivering just that. I had been communicating with Erika for 2 weeks about potentially leasing a specific apartment. We scheduled a time to view the apartment and once I got there I was very disappointed. She didn’t remember who I was and she leased the apartment out to another group and did not give a curtesy call to let me know that the unit was no longer available. After repeatedly voicing the requirements and specifics on the type of unit I wanted, she continued to show me units that did not match what I was looking for.I am very upset and have decided to look somewhere else. I hope that in the future Erika can remember who her clients are, match them with their correct preferences, and service them better. #UGH
So far Im very pleased with our experience here. We moved to metropole in march and havent had any problem. Parking is tight, but once the new pool area is done I can give it 5 stars.
After moving to Houston in July 2018, I spent several months looking for apartments and I was almost giving up on the search of multiple complex’s and locations around Houston when I finally came across the Metropole. This apartment complex is excellent and the management team of Monique, Letticia, Victoria, Bailey and Shiza are first class. I was given the guided tour by Monique who went through what the complex had to offer and why it should be where I call home now I was in Houston. I was lucky to get a 2 bed apartment at a massive 1600 sq/ft with great view and a massive balcony that gets the sun all afternoon and into the evening for relaxing with a nice drink and chilling out.I have now been staying at the Metropole for 8 months and the area is brilliant lots of bars and restaurants within 10 minutes. The residence are all friendly and the social gatherings are always fun, weathers that by the pool or out locally for a Friday night happy hour.If your looking for a change give the team at metropole a call! You won’t regret it.
After my apartment was broken into, it took two months for maintaince to fix my broken front door! Management was very unsympathetic to my complaints, at times even unresponsive.I live in the mid rise and the bed bugs are out of control. I have been dealing with this problem for a year and a half and management does not seem to care. They tried to charge me even though they were there when I moved in! Good luck getting the useless corporate office to help; I finally got to speak with the regional manager Leagh Del Toro and she was rude and dismissive. She treated me like I was beneath her and lying even though my neighbors all have the same complaint.I will not be renewing my lease. Do not move here! I wish I could give zero stars because they dont even deserve one.
Constant maintenance issues that are continuously marked as complete when they are not, invasive and destructive pesticide spraying with no warning, people constantly let their dogs use the halls and garage as a toilet... Do not live here!
We seem to have turned a corner finally. Worth a shot if the location works for you! When Roscoe took over a year ago (July 2017), they installed a weak, numbers oriented manager with a lack of understanding of the business and the effort it takes to excel at a job (any job), i dont know about the apartment rental business but i know about work ethic and care and this guy and his team lacked that, poor customer service, never worked weekends, left early, never tried to learn the names of their tenants or get to know them, the weekend agents never walked the property and never reacted to the issues that popped up at the pool, poor response time on emails and issues with the apartment and a poor character judging skills when accepting new residents in. Their goal was to increase occupancy at all costs and beg for google reviews. Sorry to say it but glad most of them are gone!Well the new manager seems to be the total opposite of all that, Roscoe has listened after numerous complaints from the tenants and have placed someone with the grit it takes to turn the community around. She is professional, she cares and is already making a difference, getting rid of weak links in her team. There is still a ton of work to do but all we could ask for is someone that actually cares and wants to do a good job and clean up the place.Community Pluses:- Location, views, price, security (considering its Houston), convenience, concierge service (Michael is great!) apartment fixtures, swimming pool, walking distance from mostly everything in the area and work, service and honesty and professionalism of the new staff.Community Minuses:- Parking (kind of far of a walk and reserved parking spots are sporadically being taken), concierge hours must be extended, trash pickup could improve, package notifications could improve - still need to eliminate the bad deals James made with corporate housing and drug (weed) use by a few tenants over their balconies, consider installing wrist bands for tenants only at the pool.No community is perfect, we like the Metropole because of the location, views and reasonable pricing. Now that service piece of it is back we can go back to managing our own lives instead of trying to worry about managing the property cause we now have someone for that.Good Luck!
Ive lived here for almost four years. It was a really nice building when I moved in, but since Roscoe took over property management a few months ago everything has deteriorated. (Be careful when you read older reviews--if you look, most all the recent reviews are either very negative or from new tenants who havent experienced the problems yet.)The alarm system on doors now obnoxiously chirps anytime anyone uses it, and any room near a door now has to listen to that constantly. The concierge hours were eliminated, so good luck getting packages after 6pm. The building no longer alerts you when you have packages, and has lost at least one of mine. They transferred to a new, painful online system. None of these changes were announced, so residents were just left trying to figure out what the property management does. Rent prices, meanwhile, are not decreasing. This is really sad because it used to be a great place to live.
Over the past six months the Metropole’s level of security and cleanliness have declined dramatically.
Outstandingly well-kept apartment complex Professional service Very convenient location Safe and secure Ive been a tenant here for over five years and have thoroughly enjoyed living here. - 4.5 stars
DO NOT MOVE-IN! Metropole use to be a great apartment complex when it was owned by Greystar and ran by Joe, Terrie, and their team. Ever since Roscoe Properties acquired Metropole and took over, they have done nothing but run it into the ground. The new management team is unfriendly and they just hide in the leasing office avoiding tenants and their issues. It is like pulling teeth just to get an email response or call back from property management, unless they’re trying to collect some sort of payment or fee. Very unfortunate to see a great place like this crash and burn.I just noticed that “the owner” responded to my review... Thank you for reaching out but you should obviously give the managers at Metropole a call yourself because they’re not doing their job as your employee’s.
The positive:1) Friendly staff - front office staff is friendly and helpful.2) Nice beautiful facilities - the common areas are nice and well kept.3) Lots of events - weve had dinners, brunch, and a movie during my stay (all free for the residents)4) The apartments are in great condition5) Location, location, location! - the apartments are close to everything but still in a quiet area.6) Value - rent rates are very competitive for the quality of the facilities and the location of the complex. This is definitely the best value for your buck complex in greenway. However, to the negative:1) Mail system - My wifes important certified mail with important documents was somehow lost. Management didnt so much as offer even an apology for this and washed their hands clean of any responsibility.2) Pests - I have seen at least three different rats in the pool area (not a sight I want to see while barbequing or having a few drinks with friends and family). Management did say they were working on the issue and I havent seen any more rats, but still. Also, we live on the first floor and get the occasional roach. I hate roaches! Management does send pest control to your apartment when you request it, but it doesnt help much.Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at the Metropole, but it is far from perfect. Luxury apartments should not lose your mail or have rats meandering around the pool and barbeque area.
Update: 9/10/18: Keys say call ahead on them but come home to find unauthorized access by staff. not safe.-AC broke twice this past week, so did the dryer.-Dishwasher hasnt worked properly and reliably in a year or so.-concierge hours this week reduced again bc concierge goes on vaca and they wont just cover the shift. Of course I only found that out by accident since there has been no notice.-amenity with driver (yes, we were spoiled) still gone;-town hall we were offered with management over the summer never happened with no apparent plan or desire to schedule;-grill by the pool is in horrible disrepair which is a shame because we all used to congregate there and bbq on sundays as the weather cooled off a bit.-still cant properly get notices of packages arriving.-and on and on.Cant wait to be free and clear of Roscoe and the Metropole.Bring back Joe, Terri and Greystar!Update 8/28/18: Ill keep it short. Letti is a substantial upgrade from James. Im a vocal critic of Roscoe, sure, but Letti and Shelley at corporate are making improvements. Not turned the corner just yet but better. Letti has brought back professionalism for sure and her communication and responsiveness is a substantial upgrade in the right direction. That said, the review from Erika is a load of cr@p. She begged for positive reviews but couldnt manage basic function. She should have been gone a long time ago. If she were truely fired inappropriate then the last thing she would do is blast on social media, call a lawyer. If she wanted to keep her job then do the job and do it well: actually get off your @$$ and addres the drugs/glass bottles/dogs in the pool, give residents the right keys to their storage instead of making them come back, actually answer the phone for residents during hours. Oh, and maybe spend a little less time taking notes on whatever other employees are doing and focus on residents/potential residents?Yes, Letti has replaced many of the staff in the leasing office. THANK GOODNESS. #FactsOverFeelings #ByeFeliciaUpdate 6/21/18 sign posted in leasing off cancelling concierge service on weekends. Rent reductions to match lost amenity?Update 6/20/18...response from owner isnt from the owner fyi....Update 5/15/18...Im amazed at these 5 star ratings - must be a vastly different perspective and past experience. Recent break-in and before that a nasty bit of car vandalism with several failed security agencies so not sure where folks are getting the security 5 stars from. Pool was finally cleaned again since folks complained enough but that isnt done nearly often enough - although it seems many pool chairs are gone suddenly. Yes, the gym has a new floor but I dont think anyone cares about that all. The lights outside were nice for safety since a few run and are around the building in the dark hours...Now if only we could get a dishwasher that works and a maintenance team who can install it properly.-To be fair, James tries but seems hamstrung.Might makes sense if ownership showed up for a town hall to hear what residents have to say.Update 1/20/18...just a few weeks ago, with no notice or approval to residents, Roscoe had a private security vendor do an assessment to see if anyone had valuables visible in their vehicles and see if the cars were unlocked by attempting to open the car doors...now magically 2 weeks later there has been rare vandalism in the garage...coincidence? Don’t believe in those....Ownership should show up for a town hall with Roscoe and residents. Michael is great, James seems to try but office staff otherwise unfriendly and not at all helpful. Reviews steadily getting worse and folks moving out - can’t be good for reputation not occupancy rate.Bring back Joe, Terri and Greystar*******We already miss Joe and his Greystar teams communication style, tone and diligence.
I moved to Metropole because as a professional working in the Medical Center, I hoped to live in a complex with like minded individuals and professionals. In ADDITION to the multiple issues outlined by others in the recent reviews (which I wholeheartedly agree with), I also have to point out that although I have owned two homes and lived in 7 rentals before moving to Metropole and never once complained to prior management companies about anything, I have just recently had to complain for the 5th time to management as my upstairs neighbor and his/her child(ren) are extremely loud ALL DAY - constantly. This is neither an exaggeration or a falsehood. I am on the 3rd floor and my upstairs neighbors child constantly bangs, stomps, jumps and loudly runs all day and up to midnight at night. The noise is neither normal or acceptable.I have not enjoyed one full day off in this apartment and usually my sleep at night is disturbed because of the noise upstairs. Although I have voiced these concerns to management over and over, my neighbors child is currently several hours in to todays loud banging, stomping, running and jumping.....in their 4th floor apartment. If you are a professional and you value your rest, your quiet time during days off or just wish for some peace and quiet in the apartment you have paid a great deal of money for, DO NOT move to Metropole.Look elsewhere!
The worst apartment I have ever lived.1.If you want to move here, be aware they will charge you $150+ if you forget pay rent at the first day of the month. Rent is tricky! Only one time I was not able to pay the rent at first day of the month due to their technical issue(log in error), they still charged me the late fee.2. The concierge service was poor, the guy working there always say something nonsense first to you rather than ask you the room numbers, essentially they are not efficient and disorganized, I have too many experiences that I have to find my packages from their office floor.3. The security cameras are installed just for show, my bike was stolen after two weeks I moved there. The concierge said: checking camera record cost his too much time to do it, and he refused to show me the video record because of protecting the suspect.4. Parking issues, many abandoned cars parked in garage, they warned to tow, but never towed any unauthorized vehicle, which caused residents need to drive all the way up to the top of the garage to find a empty space.
Great location and Community sense atmosphere!
Love it! Great, open floor plans, amenities, manager.
Stay away. Metropoles management changed hands last month to Roscoe Properties. To get an idea of their management style just survey reviews on Roscoe Properties.
Favorite apartment complex in upper Kirby area!
Great lease experience!
The WORST!!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE! You have been WARNED!!!
Nice
Brest place to stay
This place is getting worse since the new management came, they removed all the trash cans on each garage floor which been now full of waste, and cats are gathered there. the coffee machine is disgusting and not clean, there being no coffee for more than a month, I dont know why theyre taking amenity fees and increase it if they dont have any luxury amenities. This place is not luxury anymore.
