This place is disgusting. There is trash everywhere constantly. The building is not secure as the garage doors are unlocked and the entrance gates are constantly broken. The dog park is a joke. They never clean it there is feces everywhere. Even in the stairway. Our final straw was when there was a man living in the storage unit next to our apartment. This place is far from luxury. RUN dont walk away.
PLEASE save yourself a lot of stress and trouble and DO NOT MOVE HERE! I’ve never in my life have had such a horrendous experience. I leased this unit to add to my Airbnb portfolio, on my move-in date the apt was just NASTY. I had to hire an outside cleaning crew to come properly clean it. Entry and exit gates STILL don’t work, they supposedly are having it fixed… yea right. Large roaches and trash all throughout the hallways and the smell is disgusting. They didn’t tell me they pocket 15% of my bookings, I had to find out through Airbnb. Staff is a joke, they don’t come out and address anything until you harass them. I really don’t even know how they’re still in business. They deserve ZERO stars.
Nice and secure building and parking. Great location for the medical buildings.Walking distance to Kroger etc. For shopping. Ups, Taco and Donut shops downstairs.Less than 2 miles to MD Anderson.
I just moved in and so far for the most part my experience has been pleasant!! I worked with Kristina and she was amazing!!!! I leased the unit sight unseen and was a little nervous. Kristina had everything ready for me after she verified my identity I was in and out in 5 minutes and my unit looked and SMELLED great!!There are some issues with the hallways but hopefully that will be resolved soon, it does look like they have done some work I look forward to more improvements. The leasing and assistant and size of the unit makes everything betterI am giving 5 Stars for Kristina thank you!!
I’ve lived here for 6 months so far and the management and complex have been nothing but great! For the price your paying for in the Texas Medical Center is reasonable and literally everything is near you! Also love the amazon pub that they have it’s super convenient. Highly recommend
I’ve lived at Domain at Kirby for almost 16 months now and I feel completely scammed . For the first two months of my lease I dealt with loud neighbors above me . The property manger at the time offered me two reserved spots for the price one of one for my troubles. After two months she led the property and the new property manger took the spots back . How unprofessional. I had a leaking toilet for over 6 weeks that maintenance Half way fixed . My microwave has been broken for almost 4 weeks now and there idea of a replacement was a mainstay microwave from Walmart . I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone . To put the icing on the cake the complex lost the keys to our apartment and replaced the locks BACKWARDS . I can not wait for my lease to be up.
We lived here for several years and really like it. Leasing office provides great customer service and is always happy to help. The area is really great and convenient. We recommend it.
I lived here long time ago and I am not surprised that the reviews are this bad. Worst experience of my life indeed. Go live somewhere else.
The best place in the Kirby area to live! The community is always clean and up kept. The maintenance team is amazing as well as the new manager Monique and staff!
Love it here! Been living here for almost 2 years and love the customer service this place exhibits! Definitely would recommend to others!
Great management! Monique is awesome, friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
I would give 0 star if there is a option! Terrible service!Once you move in they will ignore all your issues, the apartment is full of problems and no one fix ! Washer is old not working well! They can even terminate your lease whenever they want. I will sue them!
So as a new resident to Houston, Texas I landed my ideal job. I was having several complications with getting some important documents completed and sent out from my own computer. I stopped by the front desk to ask when would the business center be reopened and was informed that the property was awaiting clearance. After explaining my situation, the staff allowed me to utilize an office computer to get the things handled. I am SO GRATEFUL for such an AWESOME STAFF here
My husband and I have been here for 6 years now. The building has its pluses and minuses. But we have honestly liked living here for the most part. Well priced, the front desk staff is as helpful as they can be (changing managements makes it hard) and they are trying to make upgrades. So, overall, a great place to live. GREAT commute to the med center!!! apartment itself is spacious, huge closets. We are comfortable!!! Very dog friendly too! Marie from the leasing office has been kind and empathetic in various situations and we appreciate her doing her most to help us out!!
These apartments are so rundown. If I could put negative stars I would. I need to report yall to the BBB.
My daughter lives here and was out of town for three days when she had a running toilet issue happen. Upon returning home she let the maintenance department know and it was soon fixed but not before a 900 dollar water bill was accrued. She has contacted management on numerous times and was told that they would get with the water company and get it worked out. They have not contacted the water company and tried to work anything out because when she called the water company this is the first they have heard of it. The part was faulty and this was no fault of the tenant. She was contacted today by management and said there was nothing they could do. They have lied, charged late fees, and do not care about their residents at all. I would not recommend them to anyone. Please see other reviews similar to this.
Kristina saved us tons of time and money, among other things. We came in with an idea of what we were looking for, and she took it and spiced it up with a little unconventional thinking. Which saved us an unknown amount of future countless headaches! The entire team helped make our move as smooth and stress free as possible. This team is amazing my family and I thank God for them.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! It is dirty and trashy. There are ants, they take the electricity randomly and dont warn you or tell you when its coming back. the water stops running randomly as well and there is no warning or follow up email telling you when it will come back or why it happened. Lastly, the staff is not helpful at all. Our microwave has been broken for almost 2 months and they told us they ordered a new one and it still has not arrived.... we have asked for reduction in our rent as we have been living without a microwave for 2 months now, however they have not responded to our requests.... I repeat DO NOT MOVE HERE. You can live in a way better place for the same price.
Kristina and Mari have been great! They made the moving process easy and extremely efficient. I love the apartment and having them working here makes it better. Would recommend to reach out to them and they can help you. Amazing Experience!
Leasing office has no morals or Integrity, they believe in screwing over the vendors. They do not pay there bills, and if your an apartment locator they will do anything to make sure you dont get credit. (Including not adding a spot on types of applications to put your name) They will sound great until its time to pay, and then they will stiff you.I have had 5 different clients lease at ADARA properties, I always trust that it will get better but it never does. Today is the day that ADARA is officially on my blacklist.
I have been a resident at The Domain for over 2 years and honestly, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. If you have other apartment complex options I suggest you consider them. Although the location and amenities are nice the management is slow to respond to request. The key fobs for access to the building only work “half” the time. This is a big security concern, especially returning home late at night. I recently transferred to a bigger unit that was not cleaned properly. When I requested a resolution they refused to rectify the situation. It’s very disappointing. I escalated my concerns to corporate management, however they were more focused on getting new tenants in then accommodating my request as a long term resident.
From the moment you walk into those big glass doors your presence is met and matched with theirs. Everyone is ready to help and assist you any way they can. Even the people working stop for a moment to just say hi and welcome you.
I have lived here for over a year and there has been nothing but destruction of property. Over 20 cars broken in to on 2/10 and lies about installing cameras. It’s now mid Aug no cameras. The residents gate is destroyed weekly allowing outsiders to enter making the property unsafe and open for criminal activity. I’ve sent emails following up no respond. I only give it 2 stars because I like the space I’m in and the area. It’s over priced and unsafe.
The management is so slow to respond. Would not recommend!! Most recent example, our microwave hasn’t been working for 2 months and they haven’t done anything about it. I’ve called on multiple occasions and they just give the same answer that they don’t have any right now. No rent reduction, no temporary one, just nothing.
Beautiful community! Amazing office and maintenances team! Been here 15 months and no complaints! Customer service is top notch.Highly recommended
I appreciate Kristina at the office who very diligently has been helpful on numerous occasions whenever Ive needed assistance.
I lived here close to 2 years and I absolutely love it here! Office team is great and community is beautiful!
DONT LIVE HERE! This apartments are expensive for no reason. Theres always something wrong going on in this apartment. From no light, to no water. This apartment are not clean at all!!! The maintenance people take their sweet time to fix things. I’ve requested for something to get fixed in my apartment for almost a week now and told them to call me when they’re coming so I can be there to open up and they rather come in when I am not there. That is unacceptable and that’s not what I told them to do. I am super furious and I can’t wait to move out as soon as my lease is up!.
The service during the search for our apartment was very good. The staff answered our questions and have been very helpful.
I have lived here for over 3 years. It is truly such a great complex. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I really feel safe with the gated garage and security guard. The pool area is very nice. The location of the complex is second to none. There are so many stores and restaurants within a one mile radius. It is also walking distance to the Smithlands parking lot and Metro rail stop. My apartment has been a favorite hang out spot for my friend group due to how centrally located the complex is and how spacious the unit is. The price is average for the location and quality of the apartment. I would highly recommend Domain at Kirby to anybody studying or working in the Texas Medical Center or nearby.
Kristina has been a pleasure to work with guiding my return. It offers so much more than
My name is Mark and I have lived at Domain at Kirby for around 5 years. I observed and experienced Melissas sociable/managerial/problem-solving skills. I have known Melissa C. for the last two years and, she has given excellent service! She has demonstrated all the skills above. I highly recommend her to be the property manager of the community. In July, the community had a resident event and, I saw Melissa & Deidre by the pool from the time it started until the time it ended! I was very impressed how they interacted with the residents and asking what can we do to make the community and your stay better at Domain at Kirby? Which is surprising, that they were so involved and concerned about the residents and the way we viewed the community. Every time you walk in the office I am kindly greeted by the leasing specialists Kye & Deidre! They really warm up the place! Before the current staff started working here I was considering moving out and finding elsewhere to live. The staff now is OUTSTANDING and really makes the community better!!
We had the pleasure of working with Kristina. Kristina went above and beyond to help us during our move-in process. We toured 6 apartments in one day and Kristina was one of the only ones to call and check on us. Throughout the application process and up until the move-in process she was very helpful and attentive. I never leave reviews, but I think her and her teams deserves one. I was weary about choosing Domain as my new home because of the reviews; however, I am glad I did because I have not ran into the problems mentioned in the reviews. Every apartment complex has room for improvement, but don’t be afraid to give the Domain at Kirby a try. It has only been a month, but all is well within our first month of living here.P.S. The hallways do not smell like trash. That was one of my main concerns as I was reading reviews so I just thought I would put that out there. Also, I feel pretty safe & have not seen all of the homeless people mentioned but only time will tell.
If I can leave 0 stars, I would. We lived in this apartment complex for 5 years and were happy with the original management. They were willing to work with the tenants to make them happy. We painted our walls ( 2 sides ) to different color because our daughter likes certain colors. We lived in 3 different floors during our stay and there was not a single charge when we moved to different floors. They offered to paint our walls, there was no charge to paint the walls back to the original color. They made our move(s) as easy as it could be.However, when it was time to move out (with the new management ), the service was not what we expected. They charge you for EVERYTHING.They are charging $550 for the re-painting the TWO walls. Its not even a whole room!!!!When I called to dispute, they say, this is prorated/discounted price. Before, it was almost $800!!!And this was FINAL bill. They are not willing to work with you at all. They really dont care about tenants. They only want the $$$$$$.I hate to leave a negative review, but this place has to change.Until they do...STAY AWAY!!!
Beautiful property great staff
Me & my husband just moved-in yesterday, experience wise was good, everyone in the admin office are very accommodating even from the 1st day when we enquire for available flat. Though movers had a bit difficulty in moving our stuff to 4th floor coz loading bay is far from our unit. but overall facilities is in good condition. Some acquaintance renters are friendly & neighbourhood is accessible to grocery & pharmacies, etc. Kristina is the main person assisted us and she’s awesome & patient to our queries. She’s very helpful and so as the other colleagues. Hoping for a good 12 months stay here! 😊
Charde was an amazing leasing representative during our leasing process.Despite the current pandemic (COVID-19) he went out of his way to make us feel welcomed, safe and confident in making the best choice for our new home.
I love living here and I love the location of my apartment. Been here for 1 year and just renewed. Ive never had any issues. I always pay my rent on time & online so I rarely have to deal with the office. The few times Ive had, the staff has always been super friendly and helpful. The new staff and manager seemed to be more helpful than the last. Also, Ive noticed some improvements the new manager has been making which have made a difference. I would definitely recommend the complex.
Management team at Domain at Kirby, especially Melissa Cabrera, has been wonderful and extremely attentive in making our move-in as easy as possible. We are new tenants who do not live locally and Melissa and the team went above and beyond their duties to assist us in renting with the Domain. Our experience thus far has been wonderful and we look forward to living here!
Comfortable place to live, I’ve been here for a little over a year and it’s convenient to most things in medical center. If I have any issues Kristina is always there.
We have toured the community today. It was a great experience. It looks like a perfect fit for us,everything looks nice, clean and safe. Staff is great. We applied the same day!
Office staff is very responsive and attentive to all needs. Maintenance is great and quick to fix any issues. beautiful place to call home.
Management team is AMAZING Christina, Carla and Elissa are on top of it and is all about customer service! Its trully refreshing to have such amazing experience. Community is BEAUTIFUL !
I have lived at domain for over 3.5 years and it has been a great experience. The office staff is highly capable and very accommodating. The property is well maintained and very dog friendly. One major perk is the resident events. Typically they will have a brunch and a dinner one a month. They have a roof top dog park that is nice as well.
Christina and Carla are so friendly and helpful. The courtyard furniture is so beautiful and community feels like home.Staff is a GREAT improvement from few years ago!
I have no complaints- love my place and the area. The office has always been great with any maintenance requests Ive had for my lights. Office hangs on to my packages and they are open everyday which is convenient for my schedule-
Office team is always very helpful! They will take their time to help you with your questions and the location is very convenient too! Close to a lot of points of interest!
After living at the Domain at Kirby for over four months now, I LOVE trying to learn how to like this place a little bit. The halls are full of fun games to play, like “Guess the smell!” or “Is that dog poop?” and my personal favorite, “What does that trash stain on the carpet look like to you?”Life here is full of daily adventures as your garage clicker seldom works, so you have the opportunity to find fun and engaging ways to break into your own home. Life is full of challenges, and here at the Domain at Kirby, they definitely embrace that motto.Another fun feature here is the dirty, roach filled pool! It’s a great place to bring one of your friends who you don’t like much and push them right in! Also a fantastic punishment for when the kids misbehave. Just a few minutes down at the luxury pool will have them shaping up in no time, to avoid having to ever dip a toe in again. Definitely a big plus for young family’s considering this residence! Finally another unique feature here is the unmaintined lounge and gym areas. Here you are given the opportunity to learn to tidy and clean all sorts of day old messes, as well as how to make sub par equipment work. It’s truly worth every penny. “So what most of the machines in the gym are broken, at least they have a couple dumbbells!”It is important to note that the above mentioned features are included at NO EXTRA COST. Six months ago I started praying for patience. Then I moved in to the Domain at Kirby. What a great opportunity to learn patience as I pay thousands of dollars to live above a donut shop. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone that I hate!Sincerely,Disappointed.
WARNING!!! To whom this may concern. This place has been one frustration to the next. My company has multiple units in this complex and each of my units have had continuing issues of simple daily living. This post is not to point out all the flaws of a complex. I do understand that no complex is perfect. But there are a few things that should be MUST HAVES.1. We should not be getting LOCKED OUT of our apartments due to clickers not working. Being locked out from our own building, garage, door ways within the building, even after multiple attempts of REPLACING batteries on clicker with office staff. The office staff at The Domain at Kirby have told me that they cant do anything about it, but then recommend me to go buy my own batteries for the clicker. WHY SHOULD I BE RESPONSIBLE to buy new batteries for the clicker when I am paying thousands of dollars to live here? Even with new purchased batteries the clickers still dont work. Clearly the batteries arent the issue. Its the clickers this complex is using. I have been here since February and this clicker problem has been going on since that time. The office staff refuses to find out a solution. The PINNACLE experience that has rubbed me the wrong way is that the clickers dont work 100% percent of the time for the garage. There has been many times where we sit in line to get into the parking garage, then other residents have to get out of their cars to open the garage to let the whole line of residents in. Just today my clicker wasnt working and the garage door started coming down, and since my clicker is so spotty, the door came down on my NEWLY purchased car and scratched it all up, even being behind the broken bent up security arm. I was unable to back up due to a line of cars behind me.This problem has to be resolved!!!!2. Right along with frustration number 1, the amenities of this complex are falsely advertised. Nobody swims in the pool because its filthy. The spa is brown. Half the gym machines dont work. The hallways smell like garbage and the stair wells are filled with dog poop, roaches, tons of spider webs, and outside walkways have dog waste everywhere as well. You name it, The Domain at Kirby has it.Its frustrating to know that they advertise this place as luxury apartments when its the furthest thing from it. What am I paying for?
This property is stellar!! The customer service is amazing and goes above and beyond. I never had any issues with my apartment and enjoyed all the amenities that were offered there. My husband and I have zero complaints which is a first compared to other apartment complex that weve stayed in. Go and see for yourself because you wont be disappointed!
I love it here! We just moved in a month ago and all has been well. I really love our new home. They have so many floorpan options, it was hard to chose. It is quiet and our neighbors are very nice.
Honestly I don’t even know where to start. This complex is absolutely disgusting and not safe. My husband and I moved in last year and instantly regretted it. The hallways smell absolutely horrible and the place is poorly maintained. I complained about the smell numerous times and they completely ignored me. They are super rude and over priced for no reason. We couldn’t wait to move out. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here.
This is a fantastic apartment complex, with some of the best leasing office staff out there. As a corporate apartment company, my point of contact is Melissa and I found her to be incredibly hardworking and I believe Melissas can-do attitude made a large contribution to my companies success
This place for me is very good location, everything is close by. It is easily accessible. Staff is wonderful and very helpful and apartments are neat and beautiful!
This community is absolutely amazing!! The location, pool, staff, apartment space is just great! I didn’t know where to live at in Houston when I first arrived but, this location is everything!! Since I’m new to area being in this central area is just right! I can even get my nails done downstairs or grab a cappuccino before work in the club room!!! Like seriously I’m in heaven!!!
When I visited the property it was very busy. I was very surprised that the property manager, Gisela, assisted me. She was very nice and answered all of my questions. I don’t normally leave reviews but I was very impressed. The only reason I chose another community was because the commute to my job was too long.
I have only been staying at this place for 19 days and its not one day I came home happy. After paying rent I already spent an extra 100$ like the office requested for things I was told I didnt have to pay for BEFORE I signed my lease, they are not very accommodating what so ever. I will update you guys in a few months for I am sure new things will occur. Only two things have been convenient for me since the move in . Which are numerous of food spots in the area since I do not like to cook and my boyfriend apartment complex is really close.
Ive lived at Domain for almost 2 years now and I dont have anything negative to say, especially now that they have changed over to Adara. The management staff is very nice and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone living in the medical center.
The folks at Domain at Kirby have been great to work with! Super responsive, and always eager to help their residents, and potential applicants. The floorplans are all very open, and have great finishes. For the quality of home you get, the prices are great!
Very helpful people in the office..Beautiful community, lived here for 2 years
Ive lived here for more then 1 year.. just say u dont really need your car to get around. The staff and management are very helpful when needed
I have lived in a lot of different places and I have never had such amazing experience and friendly staff. They take care of the residents.Office and maintenance teams are GREAT and I have no complaints!
I was considering moving to Houston and saw the domain nice location visited in June. Kye Jackson was my leasing agent. She was super nice, attentive, and patient. I decided toStay in New Jersey but this place was definitely a top contender during my search.
I have NEVER been treated so disrespectfully in my life by someone in a leasing office or any place of business. My roommate and I drove an hr. to get here and tour the property. They were having some electrical issues at the time and the lights were off, so Melissa who greeted us told us that we would not be able to view the facility. As we walked downstairs to leave we discussed and agreed that given our long commute, we could wait an hour or 2 to see if they regained power. Having discussed that, we walked back into the office not even 5 minutes later. I asked a guy there (dont remember his name) if he had a projected time that the power would be back on bc we wouldnt mind waiting an hr or longer. A guy by the name of Brandon (this was not the person I was even addressing) told us that Center point is downstairs you can go ask them yourselves. I literally said wow as I was at a loss for words. Brandon felt the need to then respond (i repeat i was not even speaking to him) by saying I dont know how much nicer I can say this but you guys were here earlier and we told you no. I informed him that everyone was very nice (Melissa that is) however you sir are very rude. Melissa stepped in and told us we could wait, however she informed us that we could wait in the club house which was more of her insisting and pushing us out of the leasing office. Shortly after we were forced to leave the leasing office waiting area and sit in the club room, we could see through the glass windows that we were pushed out only for them to talk about us, which was clear from Brandons body language and head shakes. Melissa and Brandon came together to give us an update on the electricity and Brandon gave us a insincere apology, which seemed like the assistant manager Melissa made him do. He started the apology by saying i would like to apologize, Im sorry we got off on the wrong foot but you guys asked a few time and... thats where i had to cut him off and clarify the situation. I thanked him but informed him that we were not constantly asking, as we asked Melissa ONE time and realized we didnt mind waiting so we came right back upstairs to ask about an ETA for power to return. Had he of not inserted himself into the conversation of his co workers he would have known that. I dont know if we should give this place another shot, but I can only hope we are treated with respect and that no one else has to be treated so rudely. This is why I took the time to write this review even though I may be back and have to face them again. But I doubt we will.
My husband and I just signed a lease with Domain at Kirby. As soon as we saw the place, we fell in love. Domain opened in May 2009 so everything is brand new. The apartments all have hardwood floors, granite counter tops, expansive, dark-wood cabinets, and stainless steel appliances! They even have french-door fridges, and deep sinks with detachable sprayers. The apartments are within walking distance to the light-rail and Domain will soon be offering a free shuttle to and from the Medical Center. The gym has all new equipment and spinning classes are also offered. I cant speak to the quality of life at Domain, since we havent yet moved it, but it is definitely worth a look for anyone looking for a luxury apartment for the right price. They are also offering really good specials right now so we were able to reduce the market rent significantly. Check it out!
This is an awesome complex!! The office staff is amazing especially Melissa. She is very friendly, willing to help and very knowledgeable.
Just to sum it out, I would never recommend this place to anybody. Just look at all the other one star reviews. They’re all accurate.
Ive lived here for 2 years now and have loved every minute of it! If your even considering living here just a little, go ahead and go through with it, you wont be disappointed!
Nice staff, good location. Walking distance to train to downtown. Very close to medical center. Due to proximity of stadium, traffic is a mess on football game days and rodeo.
Kristina is helpful,we leased the same day! Community is beautiful!
I love this place walking distance from retail places, NRG stadium and the medical center . Very safe place and the leasing office very friendly specially Kristina she is very helpful and cooperative when i need help and the new manager Carla she is awesome. i lived her since 2011 and i just renewed my lease for 15 more month .
I had been staying in so many places around taxes I have never been in place as Domain at Kirby it’s very nice place close to many places specialty to the medical city it’s very quiet place very secure nice swimming pool and the most important the team are very friendly and helpful. My advice to whoever looking for place to stay just move in.
The apartment is in a really great location and it is convenient to a lot of places. Its great that food and Walgreens are located right there as well. The leasing staff are all extremely kind and helpful. I have lived here for 3 years and plan to stay!
I have been living at this apartment community for almost a year. So far so good. The location is very convenient to the medical center, NGR Stadium, and many local stores and dinning places. I have read some of the other reviews regarding the homeless people in the area, and yes there are homeless people in the area, but you get that in almost any major downtown area in the US, and you cannot blame the apartment community for that, and the homeless people in the area really do not even bother you, they mostly panhandle by the intersections. I see police drive them on a daily basis and not one cop have given a homeless person a citation, so why blame the apartment community for that. The location is secure with exterior gates and automatic keys you have to use to gain access to the property. The overall staff is great. Melissa and Lisa have been wonderful since moving in. If you have any complications or concerns, they are quick to address those problems . They are always smiling and a joy to talk with, it has been a pleasure working with them. The only reason I am giving the property 4 stars is mainly do to the gym area. The gym equipment needs to be updated, along with getting the television service on the cardio equipment working properly. Often the equipment is out of order and the main floor needs to be replaced, not really ideal for a gym floor. Also, it would help if the gym floor were mopped on a daily basis. Also, with all the daily traffic in and out of the building, it would be nice to have the hallways cleaned maybe once every 3 months or quarter.Overall a nice apartment community with a friendly staff and friendly community.
So, I usually don’t do reviews but I felt the need to be honest about my past living experience. Living at Domain had its ups and downs but overall it was great living there. If I didn’t work so far from the property I definitely would’ve stayed. I mean come on it was only like 15 minutes from Midtown and my little dog enjoyed their rooftop dog park. I’ll personally refer you to move in to Domain at Kriby ask for the leasing agent Kye Jackson she’s very understanding and easy to get along with.
We’ve lived here for going on 10 months and have zero regrets. This is actually the first time I can recall my husband and I being completely happy with a place. The folks in the leasing office, especially Melissa, are the nicest most helpful bunch (none of that “now that you signed your lease we don’t care” attitude here!). The building is well maintained, the carpets in the hallways are regularly cleaned, the Maintenance Team is prompt and don’t mind changing lightbulbs for you (my step-ladder left me ill prepared for 10-foot ceilings 😊).The facilities available to residents (gym, business center etc.) are great. My favorite is the dog park on the roof - does it get any easier?! Add to that the convenient location and you got pretty much the perfect apartment complex.
Lisa and Melissa have been so helpful and very responsive promptly to things! Great experience so far! Not sure what the fuss has been about on these reviews!
I have had the pleasure of working with Jennifer taking care of everything concerning our move in and she is AWESOME! she went above and beyond when it come to the application process and looking at floor plans!
I’ve changed my review!!! This place is incredibly horrible!!! What am I paying for? $1400 I’m paying way too much per month for maintenance to not even clean the complex one bit. It’s literally a walking mess, from the carpets to the trash the people leave everywhere. This whole complex needs major renovation! It’s sad it hasn’t been reported to administration.
While a resident there, my car was vandalized and property stolen, despite having 24 hour security cameras and a guard on duty during the late evening/early morning hours. Afterwards I found out these cameras were for show only, and they dont actually record any video footage. Therefore, provide a false sense of security, however a feature they charge you for. There was never any reconciliation or apology or improved security as a result of my car break-in. In fact, my car was 1 of 9 cars vandalized that same night. And instead of making security upgrades to protect their residents, they change out the carpet and hold weekend brunches to distract you from the fact they couldnt care less about your security. Also my window leaked (and given how much it rains in Houston, thats a lot) so severe that mold started growing on the inside. It took them 2 months to actually do something about it, despite the fact I had to live with mold in my bedroom during that time. The manager and assistant manager are both incompetent and are of no help. I was a resident there for over two years and things only went from bad to worse; never improved. The helpful staff in the office all ended up leaving; likely due to the downward spiral of management. I wish I had read a review like this before moving there.
All I can say is I will not be renewing my lease unless the carpet in the hallways is replaced, the floor in the gym cleaned and maintained and automatic air fresheners placed in the hallways to help overcome the horrible smells of everyones cooking. I can also say other than replacing the absolute filthy carpet in the hallways the elevator corridors could be finished so it would not look like you are walking into a janitors closet when exiting or entering.
Great resident services and prompt maintenance responses.Absolutely love staying here!!!
They are very friendly. they will try there best to help you out, and give you the thing that you are looking for
The staff are very friendly and helpful they are very prompt in their job.
The Domain at Kirby is definitely a place I would strongly recommend! They have amazing staff that go above and beyond. Kristina and Carla went out of their way to ensure I was well informed and taken care of. They made sure I got the best possible deal that meet all my needs and expectations. They were very thorough and and quick to reply with any questions or concerns I had. The complex itself is remarkable! I absolutely love living here!! The buildings decor is very upscale and sophisticated. Upon my move in the apartment was exceptionally clean with new carpets and luxurious amenities. The spacious and open layout really complimented the enormous pristine pool and sun decks that I could view from my patio. Every morning I love getting to enjoy this extraordinary view along with coffee pllppk homemade donut from a delicious donut shop built right into the building. On top of an exceptional living space they offer a Well maintained fully equipped state of the art gym that can keep up with any workout routine. You are provided with full internet access, fax, and copy machines in their business center. Making doing work from home simple and Convenient. They’re are also pet friendly residence and give your furry friends a place to get their daily excecise in with an entire floor dedicated to a spacious dog park. On the same floor as their dog park there is a bathing center with everything you need to Keep your lovable companions smelling clean and fresh after playing at their new favorite spot.
The place has really great location, everything u need is with walking distance. 3 min drive to MD Anderson, which is why I stayed there in the first place. They have a nice pool and a decent size gym. High ceiling rooms it feels very spacious. The one thing I would complain about in that building is carpet in the hallways, theyre really dirty and smelly. If you are moving in another thing to consider is how far the apartment can be from the garage, many of the apartments are really far from the garage and this can be really an inconvenient when u r carrying stuff from the car. If you are staying for a period less than six months they will give u couple of numbers of corporate housing which they deal with, one of the guys they deal with is called Mani. DO NOT call this guy, hes bad news u dont want to deal with that guy.
I liked my apartment, despite the decline in upkeep around the community. The neighbors were quiet. The management was problematic. Specifically, Melissa Cabrera, Assistant Manager, and Miriam Flores, District Manager. Melissa is nice and she tries to be professional, but she makes many material accounting errors. Make sure that you document everything, go over lease carefully, take pictures, and get everything in writing or recorded over the phone. I’m not sure if this is due to general incompetence on her part or an intent to over-bill tenants from the top down. Miriam Flores, the district manager, is completely unethical. She berates tenants and speaks to them like a dog. She’s very much unprofessional and she frequently lies about her position. She seems to get off on power and she will admit to no mistakes. She is not the Corporate Vice President. I’ve spoken with HR. She has a supervisor, but she will mislead you into thinking she’s the highest authority in the community or she will pass you off to a low level corporate person. Record any conversations with her if you ever have a problem with local management.
I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to my worst enemy! Don’t expect to be able to move out without paying at least 500 dollars regardless of how well the apartment was maintained. Management will find any way to nickel and dime you while you’re there. They are more conserned on taking your money than making this complex a liveable place. The place is very poorly maintained and secured. Hobos in the garage and smelly halls at all times.
Great place to live! Awesome pool, walking distance to almost anything you can think of and the office staff is friendly and helpful everytime I run into them.
Lived here for a year and moved out as fast as I could. The place is nice, however the office staff and the management are abismal. They are not there to help you at all, but rather to make life difficult for you.
I have been here for 4 years and I like living here. Safe affordable and staff are very nice
The management team is polite and helpful. However, the complex is in desperate need of new fitness equipment. When Adara took over 6 months ago they said equipment would be replaced in January, its now March and they now say it may not happen. The follow through is terrible. The machines are broken, take a while to be fixed and break again within a couple days. Very disappointing in this regard. However, the other facilities are nice, well cared for and clean.
The quality is great. The management office is terrible!!!! I lived here for 4 years, the prices were getting higher. The services were getting worse. There are some other places around with better prices and management.
Good apartment very safely good leasing staff and good maintenance very good price!
BEWARE*** DO NOT MOVE IN HERE***I honestly dont even know where to begin but I wish we never moved in here to begin with. The place is supposed to be fancy, secure, and luxurious but its not. On top of that they are ripoffs. I moved in while greystar owned the property and while living in the apartment Adara community bought it. Anyways do not move to this place for those 3 reasons that I mentioned. 1. The last few months that I have lived here, we had a lot of security break-ins and theft. And to to make matters worse management blamed the resident. 2. The hall way stinks pretty much every day after you really move in. Before you move in everything is dandy and they make it seems look like it is this amazing place. 3. Its not a fancy place at all. Believe me youll find better price for your money even in the medical center. We only moved here because of a rush and yes I wish we never moved in to begin with. My last warning is to be ready to get a hefty bill when you move out. Some of the charges are just ridiculous. We spent over a day making sure the place was spotless. but we still got hit with an almost $400 bill. Some of the charges are ridiculous for example: cleaning fee for washer and the dryer and I cleaned that myself. Maybe I forgot to take check the filter for the dryer but seriously?? Another ridiculous charge is the bathtub encloser//stopper, because of the water use the moldings needs to be replaced which is common, but Im getting charges for that. I even had maintenance come out and fix that before. Im also getting charges for cleaning fee for the stove, which I cleaned myself. Among other crazy charges. I was totally shocked and surprised. This has been my experience so stay away. And also their expresso/bar machine doesnt work half the time if not more. I remember they were out of milk for almost a month. The pool table is very old and worn out, so are the pool sticks. The treadmills in the gym are out of service most of the times. I could go on and on. Good luck finding a place but do not move here. You will regret it. And yeah its under a new management here but they are the ones sending me a $400 bill so I dont see how they are any much better so dont fall for that trap.
Came to check this property out and Gisela was very informative and helpful with any questions I had.
Great location, helpful staff, and a good community! I’ve been living here for almost 1 year and I really like it!
Great area, good security, beautiful styled apartments! I’m very satisfied.
The location! Very convenient! Easy access to shopping, eateries, NRG, and the TMC. I have been here for almost 2 years and the Assistant Manager, Melissa Cabrera, is so inviting and welcoming. Customers and residents are always greeted with her smile and full attention. The maintenance staff is professional and courteous with maintenance requests. The complex itself is very nice. Grounds-keeping is kept up on a regular basis. Although, some tenants should take responsibility of their own trash. Because I have a dog, at times, Ive had to take care of it for them. The pool is AMAZING and so is the courtyard. There are pet stations and a pet run on ground level. Then there is a Bark Park on the roof of the parking garage. This is what sold us immediately! The business center and fitness center are bonuses. I work from home quite often and havent had issues with internet speed. My apartment itself is very nice. I am so particular on floor plans that its absolutely perfect for me. All of the floor plans are exceptional and so different from your basic apartment set-up. I couldnt have asked for a more modern, updated, and perfect living area for the price. Parking garage safety was a huge concern of mine. But with Security around and parking monitored, its a real relief of my worries. Ive had people in my reserved parking spaces and the office has taken immediate action which is a plus when you pay for it. Any cars parked incorrectly or left unattended for days are noticed and attended to. Yes, the less fortunate exist everywhere in this city, but this complex will take care of any issues pertaining to the property. I highly recommend!
I have lived here for just over a year. Here is my review of the Domain at Kirby apartments.First, the good (this part will be fairly short). The apartment floor plans are quite nice. Large bedrooms, wood floors, cozy feeling apartment units, open concept.Maintenance staff respond fairly quickly to repairs and are very friendly. Now, the bad.The staff, ridiculous rules, and community areas/amenities need serious work. The staff - friendly enough, but whenever you come up with a serious problem, they always have some way to put it back on you. The fobs arent working? Buy your own new batteries. When one staff member gives you a temporary fob held together with scotch tape and you go back to get a new fob, as promised, the manager doesnt believe you that this was a temporary fob given to you less than a week ago by their staff and no matter how many times you try to explain, she simply doesnt believe you. Even when you get a new fob after going back multiple times, it still doesnt work half the time to get in!The Rules - Any successful apartment community has rules that are strictly enforced - pool hours, trash in the hallways, etc. This apartment complex doesnt enforce those rules, and they add extra, ridiculous rules on top of it. One example in recent memory - only 2 plants and one grill on the apartment patios. REALLY?! We take care of multiple beautiful plants, and a year into the lease they threaten fines for having more than 2 plants? Its nowhere in the lease rules, by the way, that there is a plant limit. There is a rule about not propping doors open. Those of us with dogs take them out of the side access doors to the grassy areas for potty. The doors, despite multiple requests to create fob access, do NOT have a way to let you back in! You have to walk around the complex to get back in. So what do people do? Prop the doors open with a rock so they dont have to walk around the building. There are signs that $300 dollar fines are assigned for propping open doors. NOT enforced. If they would just allow a way for people to get back in, then the doors wouldnt be propped open, which leads me to my next issue. Our apartment was broken into and robbed. During the day, while I was at school and my roommate was at work. The door locks were completely broken, the door was ajar, and the perpetrators were clearly in the apartment for a long time, rifling through EVERYTHING and stealing over 15,000 dollars worth of electronic equipment, heirloom jewelry, gaming systems, games, computers, phones, etc. The locks were clearly insufficient to keep them out. After the break in, the regional manager called and offered to put a door armor thing on our door to prevent another break in. Thats great, but where was any security? Cameras? An extra deadbolt lock that can be locked from the outside on the way out to work? The community manager refused to send out an email to residences asking for any information or witnesses from neighbors who may have seen something. The hallways stink, the carpets are SO dirty, and Ive lived here a year and have only seem them get vacuumed once. The gym had machinery needing repairs for a couple months. Valet trash - what a load of crock! Waste of our money, theres always trash in the hall and all over the trashrooms since people leave piles of garbage out. The elevator has been broken the last week and has broken down multiple times before. Today I went to go to the gym and the fob wouldnt let me in. Walked all they way back to my apartment on the other side of the complex to try our other fob, and it didnt work either. Another resident said his fob wasnt letting him into the gym or the business center. When guests come, they have no way to get into the building from the garage, you have to go meet them on the 6th floor and fetch them. Oh, and the elevator is broken. Youll get some good quads doing all the stairs though. The community ruins otherwise nice floorplans, and way overpriced. I could not recommend this place for anyone.
