It is always difficult finding a new place to call home. Thankfully, the leasing agent, Daisy, was incredibly helpful! I am the type to ask lots of questions, and she never made me feel uncomfortable about it. I was very glad that she was the one to help me. Everything she told me was clear and concise, and with an incredibly positive attitude. Definitely looking forward to moving in
I would definitely recommend everyone to move here. when you come just to ask you can feel the atmosphere of peace and tranquility. the people who work there are wonderful. I was attended by a girl named Daysi who speaks my language and who has a lot of patience. she explained to me step by step everything she had to do. The manager of the lease also approached to ask if everything is alright. If I had any extra questions. You feel that they care about you and that you are treated with the respect you deserve. I love knowing that I am going to live in a place where the costumer is important.
Nice and quiet community, friendly and very helpful staff. The pool is mini resort beautiful with a jacuzzi and electrical grill. You will love this place. I know I do!
If you are considering moving to this apartment complex please consider again. The management here is immensely lacking communication skills, professionalism, time management, organization, and urgency. I am a current resident who has not even made it halfway through my lease and I have already experienced my personal property being damaged by a company that the management hired. Aside from my vehicle being hit and left with damages, the management and staff have done nothing to assist me with even getting a truthful answer as to who and what company hit my car. Not to mention, they have the video footage, but have refused to show me! It has been almost a month since my incident occurred and I still have no truthful answer from management to see what unprofessional company they have hired that could have damaged my property. At this apartment complex you will face issues with either disorganized management and staff, your personal property being damaged, your unit being robbed and many other issues that occur. If you are someone who wishes to be treated unfairly and belittled by a rude manager then this may be the apartments for you! I would not recommend this complex to anyone so if you are still searching for your home, please look for another apartment complex, there are plenty in the Houston area. I will most definitely be searching for another housing location far away from this one. I have provided a picture of my vehicle with the damages that were left to it all done by the unprofessional company the property hired, not a pretty sight and I would hate for someone to experience what I have experienced here at Chandler Park Apartment Homes.
Very satisfied with the move-in process! Carolina made sure we understood everything going on and what to expect. Excited about my new home!
Daisy was exceptional! I came apartment hunting and was overall impressed with her helpfulness. She gave plenty of information enough to convince me to move in here someday. Hopefully she will still be there when the right time comes:)
5 star specifically for Carolina, she’s the best they got among the management staff. She has been really helpful and cooperative throughout my move in. Any issues she gets it done same day if not she’ll do her best.
I was visiting for mothers day. I noticed it was quiet & gated & the gates were fixed & doing their job. I am pleased. Also, the covered hallways to the doorway entries are well lit. Great idea. Cowboy hat off to the designer & architect. Easier & safer when expecting deliveries & guests. Safe & dry. Its a very clean place, too; however, one small bag of trash got loose sometime during our visit. It was forgotten & the wind left a small trail, but it will be cleared promptly by the staff when they arrive. No pics this time. Ill add them next time.
Im new resident here and I found the apartment clean, very comfortable with an excellent view of the park..Daisy from customer service always took good care of me and was attentive to any questions I asked.
Daisy was great but she asked us for google review to give 5 star which was unethical when i see people complaining about this apartments. Stop earning fake 5 star from new comers get residents complaints addressed first.
I love the location of the apartments, everything is nearby which is so convenient. The property has a really pretty pool and everyone in the office is very friendly and professional which is also very important to me.
We expressed interest for lease transfer of an apartment, we had to make 5-10 calls and office visits still unable to change lease to another apartment, instead they kept raising rent of interested apt, finally we are moving out and they do not even care, management is a joke, not professional and unethical practices.
The negative comments about this property are true. I have experienced lack of communication from management and maintenance. However, I do feel like they are working on it. When I first moved in, I had issues with maintenance entering my apartment without notification; the only reason I knew it was maintenance and not an intruder was because my personal items were still there but tools and equipment were left in my unit. I left numerous voicemails and sent emails but no response until I met Carolina. SHE WAS A HUGE HELP!! When I brought my issuses to her she immediately contacted the maintenance supervisor and the workers. She also called me to follow up on the problem, returned my phone call when I missed hers, and provided me with clarity on other concerns. I have not had a problem with maintenance since. Thank you Carolina for everything!!
Hello Everyone!!! I been live here for 8 months mmm is too many bad things have to be change!! The gate is wirelles but it will be easier if you can open with the app!!! The only pretty and remarkable thing about this apartment are the green áreas this is like makeup for a ugly woman it just an appearance is a shame the owner dont invest in this place because is cute so far have a good ubication!!! But bad manage and the breaking ins are unexplainable JUST DO A GOOD MAINTENANCE!!!! Oh My God I just found a roach in my Bathroom!!! Where is pest control!!!! Help!!!!! Fix the Jacuzzi
I seriously hate going to this place. It’s very dangerous leaving the property into traffic. I sometimes park across the street and walk over just because it’s a lot safer than trying to leave the complex via a car. Horrible location.
Daisy my leasing agent was very profesional and attentive to my Prefences. She was very profesionalthank you !!!!.
The apartment was quite nice and cozy compared to the normal ones around. Loved the carpet work in the apartment.
Multiple break ins, multiple car damages, management is slow to respond to emergencies or won’t reply. Don’t live here if you can avoid it.Edit: let me say something else, if you have to go to corporate to get things handled and even NALS doesn’t care about your break in, it is a good sign that this isn’t the place to live. There are 2 years worth of reviews on here (about 30) with grievances towards break ins. I understand security cameras are provided in the “common areas” but they don’t have them around the apartments, and if after this many break ins, I doubt they will do anything, but to reiterate or “affirm” me that my safety is important, but take no action. Yes there is patrol, but who are they, better yet where are they? Oh yea sitting in one location and not really paying attention. I’m sure there are some good ones, but how you gonna have this many in a year and still not make changes. I’m sure you’re nice people at heart, but I know things don’t matter unless it’s happening to you, this community does not need “affirmations”, we need advocates and action..
Spacious apartments but I was told theres lots of break-ins! I was much scared and left this place as soon as possible!
Beware Management is unhelpful at all, for lease renewal I had to follow up office, finally i signed lease term, but co lease signer didn’t sign e document, instead of reminder for it they sent me new lease term document with higher rates after a month of time where as this thing should have been sorted out by reminding a person to sign document. As helpless renter I had to agree on new higher rates.
I am a current resident here at chandler park, My name is Luis I been here for over a year. This is my 1st time since the Covid that I have entered the office an I must say it was very refreshing to have someone great you with lots of joy, I really want to thank the young lady Carolina in the office she was so kind an helpful with guiding me through our portal that I have never used since I moved in to the property. But the fact that she ad knowledged me an greated me very kind and was very attentive to what I need I truly recommend her to who ever goes into the office. She is the go to girl very helpful humble great customer service. Thank you again.
I am current resident of Chandler park apartment, Management is very unprofessional here. Lots unethical practices they follow for lease renewals.
I live here since last year and the experience had been terrible, all the personal at the front office hast the WORST customer service ever. The complex is insecure, everybody come in and out, bad maintenance crew, they towed my car with the proper sticker on the windshield and they tried to make me guilty of that, even when i deliver all the paperwork they request. I even had to pay for an UBER to go and pick up my truck that was towed because of their fault. Please look for a different place to live. There are better places out there were they treat people with respect.
Staff are kind and patient. Prices are reasonable and the place is beautiful. Nice neighbors and homes are well maintained. Only qualm is that the maintenance team is slow to respond so you have to stay on them. But otherwise great place to live.
Currently a resident and it not a good place to lease because a lot of Break-ins all the time. Anything to squeeze money out of renters. During moveout they charged $600 for obvious minor wear & tear in a unit we lived 4 years. when we moved to another unit we got burglarized. Managements change like day & night. After many complaints they have a night patrol. Lately they towed my car for trivial reason and charged $250. They are going after easy targets and quick money. They are not checking for unauthorized vehicles as we so often see cars without parking stickers. I wrote an email about my concerns more than a week ago and no reply so far. No security cameras at the gate as promised even after so many burglaries. This is the last lease, Not going to stay longer! And poor management and poor, never lease here I repeat never least here, even another resident, had a conversation with me about there poor service and how the whole employee try to make money off you that not on the contract lease
This place is so nice I was going to rent there but I needed to move faster and their tome was three weeks away..
I am usually just a quiet observer of reviews as I am window shopping for apartments. As such, I know everyones experiences can differ or be unique to their own circumstances. So I tend to keep a neutral opinion, and never feel the urge to comment. However, I must say, as a potential resident looking at properties i have never seen so many unified critical reviews that have been met with the same generic response. Some of the responses dont even match the review. Its as though they went copy and paste happy.Thats really a shame because there are a lot of properties in houston so these reviews can be a lot like reading a resume. So it doesnt take much to say ok on to the next one.Food for thought to the owners, it may be better not to respond than to just generically repeat yourself. It doesnt seem genuine and it leaves a bad impression to potential viewers who are looking for a place where they will feel safe.Customer service is a huge deal for me, but nothing compared to the safety of my family. As I read these reviews all I can think is, what if one of those scenarios were me and that happened when I was at work while my wife and daughter were there and they treated me like they treated these people.I feel like I dodged a bomb instead of a bullet. To the residents I feel for you, but thank you for making your sacrifices known, thank you for sharing and I hope things work out for all of you.
This apartment was very good when we moved in 2015. From there, It has only gone from bad to worse. Break-ins all the time.
Unhealthy practices by the management. The worst I can say. I wanted to give 0 star but the lowest is 1.
Original Review (7.1.21)Pros: Decent location in regards to the surrounding neighborhood. It’s usually pretty quiet and I never had any major issues with my neighbors. I have kids so it was nice being in walking distance of a park.Cons:1. Management Change – They change management a lot and with each change comes more rules/restrictions and new fees. Once they increased the monthly fees and didn’t send any notifications via email, but instead decided to tape an eviction notice on my door in the amount of $40.00. Mind you this was during the pandemic and I had been paying my rent faithfully before the 1st of the month (this is to avoid “processing issues”). This was very embarrassing and unnecessary.2. Safety – We received constant emails about break-ins, so I installed cameras in my apartments as a protective measure for when weren’t home. They have security/gates, but the gate broke a lot and security can’t be everywhere at once. I was located in the back of the complex, so before the “visitor lot” was created, it was easier to notice unusual cars parked in the area.3. Trash – There is a non-optional valet trash fee. The rules on how/when you can put out trash changed with each manager so to avoid any more random fines, I stopped using valet trash (but was still obligated to pay it on the rent).4. Moveout Fees – As mentioned by other reviewers, move out is a huge hassle. First, they don’t allow you to walk through with them, so you just get the move-out charges weeks after you’re gone. Secondly, they charge you for EVERYTHING they should normally be fixing when apartments change hands. I expected some “paint fees” because I did have children in the apartment and of course they are going to touch the walls especially when they were stranded in the house, but there was almost an extra $600 in fees added to my final bill. Ex: they charged me for carpet cleaning and pet fee. (I’ve never owned a pet in my life). When asking for proof, they sent photos of a clean carpet but stated contractors pulled-up the carpet and saw stains on the concrete (but they don’t have proof of that). If you don’t pay fees in 15 days, they send it to credit/debt collectors. They don’t answer phones or return calls when you leave a voicemail, and take days to respond to your emails. Luckily my parents helped me pay the fees so that I wouldn’t ruin my credit, but others aren’t so lucky.Overall, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! There are plenty of other apartments in the area that have the about the same rent, I only chose these because it was a last minute move and I couldn’t research like I needed to. Lesson learned.**************************************Edit: (Response to Owner) (7.27.21)1. First you are right the eviction notice wasn’t $40, it was $55 however it was still placed on my front door (See attached photo of notice)2. Yes you sent an invoice, but there was no physical evidence to show that they pulled up the carpet and saw pet urine. You act as if contractors don’t just put down random prices, knowing someone is going to pay it. And I guess at this complex it’s always the tenant and never the management.3. Why contact you now when everything has been paid off? You didn’t want to answer phones beforehand, you just wanted to let the 15 days pass and send me off to a credit collector.
We had bad experiences mainly by management. For lease transfer request they keep us on hold for an hour, when i walked to office they just left phone a side.
Hi .. this apartment management should get review stars in negative.. in this time of winter storm .. most non responsive management.. when all other apartments near us electricity we were in blackout for 2 days without any mail from apartment not generators in corridors or anybody from management to assist and its today 4th day without any water and management has deliberately shut down the water when all other apartment have water.. just to avoid they extra work if any pipe burst... in this hour of need when other apartment management is providing luxury buses with warming station, refreshment, free food, bottle water.. this management is sleeping in there warm houses with plenty of water at their disposal...😡
Very unsafe place to live. had a terrifying break-in experience that changed my whole life. i left the place and broke the lease.dont let it happen to you
Five stars is not enough to show how happy I am with Chandler Park, especially in regards to Linda. Linda has always been a great help and youll be in great hands if you work with her. Great facilities. Wide selection of apartments to view as well.
The self-guided tour was easy and we really liked the 2x2
I stayed at Chandler Park from 2015 up until March of 2019. In the beginning the management was great, grounds were amazing, and there were no major issues. After a year and I resigned a new lease that’s where things started to go downhill. Since 2016 there has been new management every 6-12 months thus creating issues for residents as we were having to deal with new people every time we went into the office. There were quite a few times I have had to be on maintenance to get work orders completed and they never answer the phones up front. You’ll be better off walking in and hoping not to wait for more than 30 mins to see someone. There had been multiple break ins and I don’t believe the apartment complex was doing what they had to do as far as resident safety. As far as the apartment itself I enjoyed my location and I didn’t have issues with my neighbors. Upon move out I was told that I would only have to pay for carpet cleaning (which is noted on my move out sheet) but when I received my statement I was charged $75 for final trash and a few other utility charges that I’ve sent emails to Chandler Park and corporate about but haven’t received a response. I cleaned that entire apartment and no trash was left behind but no one can bother to explain to me these charges. Be careful upon move out because they will tack every fee they can think of to prevent you from getting your deposit back!Would I recommend now? NO. Only because of the management isn’t stable, the constant break ins, and hidden fees after the fact of moving out.
Ill be quick. There are so many other options in the Energy Corridor area, please do not waste your time here. Read the reviews that have 1 star, even though every situation is different, the reviews are extremely valid. The management and company are terrible. Dont let the pictures, model apartment, or the price fool you!CONS:-Management is brutally terrible-No communication efforts-Fees, fees, and more fees (expect them to come out of nowhere)-Lots of vacant units (i.e. residents are trying to get the hell out of there!)-Break-ins have become common-Property is worn down-Thin walls, bad flooringPROS:-No big bugs... just the little ones-Nice sized balconiesBest of luck! :)
Staff is not helpful at all!! Poor management and very bad attitude, try calling them for issues and they will put you hold for 45 minutes.
My corridors are with total trash/stains and i wrote multiple emails and calls for 3 weeks and i didnt get any response and when i call back all i get is rude answers.I personally hate reviewing someone 1Star but in this case i have no options left other than this to reach to proper person to care of my issue.
This incident happened on June 20th of this year. I just came out of a 12-hour shift that day. It was a flood of water all over my apartment. I later found out it came from the water heater. I looked at the tag on the water heater it showed the last it was inspected and is 4/15/2019—that was over a year. I called the emergency maintenance to stop the leak. When they came in, they stopped the leak, and they told me to move all my furniture outside and my clothes. I have to move my damaged furniture by myself out with no help. I do not even have a bed to sleep on after I move my furniture. They let me sleep on the floor in a random apartment. The apartment didnt even have water in it for me to take a shower. I have to go to work the next day. Ill call my job if I can call in. They did not have any staff. I called Chandler parks office to vacate me to a different apartment or stay in a hotel because I do not have any water access. They refused. They told me to remain in my apartment. They will fix the problem. I told them they were wrong about what they are doing, and they still did not care. Hence, when I came back home, I saw five huge fans running in my apartment. I called them again due to the flood and no dont want to leave it, and it was so right after my lease went to end, they charged me for the carpet damage and extra stuff that I wasnt responsible for. Even before I leave, I discuss with them and tell them that Im not reliable, and they agree with me on the phone but when the lease is over. They charged me with a damaged bill of around $600. They didnt even give me a place to stay. I did not take a shower for three days without water, and one day without hot water. They had the audacity charge me $600. I am former resident, my lease was up in September. I do not recommend this apartment to anybody they treat me like I did not pay over 1000 a month for a 1 bed room apartment. I was letting they go at first until that 600 damage fee. I going to call my lawyer to file a lawsuit .
Future residents find another option! Two months trying to place a request and does not get completed. Multiple phone calls done / voice mail left with no reply. I tried to solve the matter in person, the employees won’t talk to you because of COVID-19 restrictions, which I understand, but if employees would answer or call back I wouldn’t have to go to the office.
Maintenance is very quick! Very nice staff in front office. Apartments are very spacious. When needed the staff was there to take care of things.
Everyday I had to follow up for lease transfer, every time they say they will get back to me in an hour, and never call back. very lazy management.
I literally just got off the phone maybe 10 minutes ago, and I dont ever leave a google review, but I am not renting from this place.I called to get more information, and the front desk was extremely rude. I am moving from out of state, and the front desk cut me off 4-5 times, and was very condescending. I would repeat things back to make sure I was understanding and I heard as I stated before multiple times multiple times. I told the front desk that I will not be applying because of the terrible customer service. She was rushing me off the phone as well, and I did not feel comfortable even spending my money there. She was the rudest front desk person I have ever dealt with. Very condescending, and did not want to answer my questions, since I couldnt view the apartments in person until I moved in.
The staffs are very helpful, always responsive whenever I need help. Maintainable guys are very. I’ve and friendly, the likes of David and others I can’t remember their names . The property manager is a good woman too, she’s very nice and helpful too .
Property very well kept! Pleasant staff!
This management group (Nals) is terrible!!!If you want to rent in a place when the office assistant anwsers your emails after 11 days...this is the best place of that!Multiple calls, emails and nothing!Poor management communication towards residents. They spam with a lot of emails without importance but when you try to get good responses from important topics they never respond.Chandler Park Houston TX
There was a break in in one of our neighbor’s house it was second time they have break in in one year! This property is not safe and not taking extra measures to prevent ! Living here is unsafe !
Dont even dare go near the apartment because they got bad and unprofessional staff not excluding the manager.
Everyone at the leasing office is super helpful and they respond quickly to any concerns, especially Linda she was very nice and patient when helping me with all my questions!
UPDATE: 12/15/2020Again I warn you. DO NOT RENT FROM CHANDLER PARK APARTMENTS in Houston,Texas. They responded to my review and lied about sending me photos. Not one photo was sent to me. The invoice was sent. It was not signed. THE CARPET WAS NEVER DAMAGED. Also, if you decide to move here. DO NOT TURN YOUR ELECTRICITY OFF UNTIL AFTER YOUR MOVE OUT LEASE DATE. I used $2.24 of their electricity which was from the refrigerator running. They charged me a $50.00 fee for using $2.24. Be careful people. I have already emailed them and told them to stop harassing me with petty fees.I am writing this to help and warn you. I was a resident for 1 year at Chandler Park Apartments. Upon entering Chandler it looks beautiful. But dont let that fool you. I recently moved out and was charged $283. They charged me for carpet cleaning ($119). Carpet cleaning is routine maintenance that they should do anyways for their tenants. Especially for the amount of rent I payed. The carpet was NOT damaged. I also vaccumed. I have called and emailed 3 times. They give you 15 days to pay and contact them before it goes on your credit report. I have tried to make contact. No answer. No email back. PLEASE save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. They have purposely ignored my emails and phone calls. Dont let the generic message they are going to copy and paste fool you either. The phone number and email they are going to reply with has already been used by me to contact them. My former neighbor Jacky Hao also left a review similar to my experience a month ago (Read it) Everything is true. I have clients, coworkers and friends that want to move to Chandler Park Apartments. But I will and have told them and showed them how Chandler Park Apartments does not value their tenants. 2020 has been tough for alot of people. I was never late for rent. Please find else where for yourself and love ones to reside. If they delete my review I will copy and paste again. You have been graciously warned.
The management is horrible! They try to screw you over any change they get! They don’t return calls, my lease agreement was wrong and they didn’t want to show me the apartment before moving date because it was not ready. Due to this I have to canceled movers ($80 canceling fee) and Now they changed my rent rate saying that I changed the moving date. When they didn’t not have ANYTHING ready a day before moving date. Unbelievable!! I’ve read all of the bad reviews but I thought I should give them a chance But nooooo it’s all true. Do not get an apartment here management is the worst! I’m sorry that I have to deal with such unprofessional and just plane rude people.
The grounds and the buildings are lovely and thats the only thing that the star is for. The customer service is atrocious! Plus, from the reviews left, your place can get broken into and the attitude of the property management is Oh well. Terrible!Update: See that response below that I received👇, it is the same generic one that is posted on many other bad reviews left by residents or prospective residents; give or take a few words for fluff. If you try to call the number (as suggested), no-one answers. If you leave a message for a call back, no-one will call you back. Read the reviews on apartmentratings.com and apartments.com. There are reviews going back five years and they are just as horrible. I left a review of my terrible experience when I visited the property in July, 2020, and got the same generic response to call.
I love living in Chandler Park its been an awesome experience. Very Clean complex and very quite. Thankfully i have never had an issue and i feel very safe staying here. The office staff is great, especially Luisa she is very helpful, she had help me on everything I am very satisfied with her customer service and how she cared about all i asked to be fixed on my unit. I do recommend this Apartments to call your new home.
From the moment you walk into the front office doors, you can expect to be greeted with a smile and a desire to help from these wonderful ladies - Ana, Katy, Luisa and Alana. Even if its just to help make copies of your childs homework! 😄Theyre always courteous, professional, warm and friendly. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.
BREAK INS OCCUR ALL THE TIME HERE! DO NOT MOVE HERE. WE GOT BROKEN INTO DURING THE DAY 2 WEEKS AGO AND THEY DIDNT TELL ANY OF THE RESIDENTS AND THEN OUR NEIGHBOR WAS ROBBED. THEY DIDNT EVEN FIX THE KICKED IN DOOR UNTIL 2.5 DAYS LATER... If I could leave 0 stars I would. The gate is always broken so just ignore the term gated community. On top of lack of security, our water heater breaks all the time as well as the washer, dryer, oven, and dishwasher. I cannot wait to move out for good.
A place you never want to live or lease, whole entire management and crew are rude, not polite, they do things without their person notice like increasing rent when lease is already signed and towing a vehicle with the sticker on there
I would NOT recommend anyone to move into Chandler Park Apartment homes. On a Saturday afternoon my apartment robbed, my door was kicked in. It took over an hour for maintenance to come temporally fix the door, someone was supposed to return the next day to properly secure the door. It is now Tuesday and my door still has not been secured. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE here at Chandler Park Apartments. Seeing that the thief happened on a Saturday afternoon in mid daylight lets me know that someone here is watching me. I asked if I could be let out of my lease and the answer was a straight NO, I asked if I could be transferred and the answer was, It would need to be treated as a regular transfer meaning that I would have to pay an admin and application fee be moved, if management saw fit.I am very unhappy with the lack of customer service/care and the disregard that I have received. I feel very unsafe, and the staff has not made me feel any better. There has not been any email sent out to the residence about the burglary. Chandler Park Apartment do not care about you and your familys safety and well being, DO NOT lease any property here.
I wish I could give 0 stars to the management and owners after approximately October 2016. Especially, Courtney Matcek, who is or was an Assistant Manager. I lived at CP for more than 5 years. I was there when new owner representatives toured the property and viewed the interior of the units prior to buying. Almost immediately the property was poorly kept; trash would stay in the grass and on the ground for days; trash would be left for valet outside of residents doors during restricted hours(which stinks); residents started hanging clothing on the balcony railing and storing other non-patio items on the patio. I had not realized that although the prior owners(before Oct. 2016) and the management team were strict, it kept the property worthy of the rent amount. Some of the units were remodeled completely and upgraded after maybe my 3rd year there. My unit was not remodeled, because I was living it. As such, mine was outdated and everything began to break--from the microwave to the toilet. Courtney and her management team attempted to force me to sign a new lease and charged me $300 extra per month to be month to month. I remained MTM for a few months and then moved. Those unprofessional misfits attempted to charge me $600 to clean my unit. I refused to pay it. The owners and the management team are a joke. Today, reading the other bad reviews makes me wish I had not forgotten to post sooner.
I have been living at chandler park going on 1 year. Never paid my rent late. I call in for not having no hot water months ago and no one came to fix it. I ended up fixing it myself. The hot water went out again and still no one came to fix it. Imagine it’s cold out and I have to go to work so I’m bathing in cold water. During this whole pandemic our gym, pool etc is close FYI other building pool, gym are open up with social distance rules in place. They are still charging us the same rent and not a dollar less. This is very unacceptable and I’m tired of complaining with no solutions.
EVERYthing negative thats been said about this complex is the complete truth! From the rude staff, to the ignored maintenance requirements, break-ins extra charges, and so on....Long story short, DONT MOVE HERE! (These apartments are only nice as you drive by them)
I would not recommend this apartment to my worst enemy. Upon move in, I discovered a huge cockroach problem. The leasing office responded by saying “there appears to have been a note about that issue on the unit, but it didn’t make sense to remedy it while the unit was vacant.” Are you kidding me? So you wait for me to move in, sign a contract, and then you try to fix the issue. Fine, I stomached a year of that and upon move out, they send me a notice that they’re charging me $1200+ for cleaning and vinyl replacement which I’m clearly at no fault for- I cleaned the apartment thoroughly upon move out and left the apartment in great condition. I received no move in or move out condition form to fill out. Being my first experience moving out and living alone, I didn’t have the foresight to take pictures to document many of the above issues. I’ve tried calling the office multiple times to discuss this issue, and they continue to tell me that I will get a call back, which has never happened. I’m now at a point where I can only pass on what I’ve experienced to unsuspecting prospective residents, and I urge you to steer clear of this complex.
Very bad community not clean no service office team and manger very rude and doesn’t take care of residents, they are just good to take fines from people, my apartment is too dirty and i get allergic even my kids from the apartment because they doesn’t clean or sanitized it and I asked them to clean it but they don’t care about resident .. they tell me you have offer 400$ refund from your first rent but after i take the apartment they said you’re not eligible for this offer they are lying to bring residents .
We took a tour of the complex and 2/2 apartment last weekend and decided to lease there because it was exactly what we were looking for. The apartments have a good square footage and a nice layout for the price, and it includes alarm system which is really cool. They also had a nice special that I was able to take advantage of and the application process was super easy. Our leasing agent is Jose and he was great! Very friendly, professional, attentive, and enthusiastic. Cant wait to start the new year in our new apartment home! 😊
Im a new resident here and, I absolutely love calling this place home! The Complex is very well maintained, and my apartment is so cute, comfortable, spacious and PRIVATE. The Yorkshire floorplan works great for me, as I now have an office/workout room. Although its covid19 time the staff is always prompt in responding and very Professional. Im looking forward to my stay here and so glad to have found this place.
Laurie was very helpful in answering questions about my lease, getting it renewed very quickly and registering my vehicle with the leasing office.
The property is nice from the pics I saw and the floor plans are too..I went today to get information on a 1bedroom unit I waited for 30mins which I didn’t mind giving that I’m a patient person they only had 2 people helping clients and everyone else just kept walking by didn’t speak didn’t offer assistance I’m big on customer service especially when a person work in the field of servicing clients..when I sat down with leasing consultant there was only one available unit in the time frame i would need..she was nice seemed overworked giving the lack of teamwork from what I could see with that being said she didn’t offer for me to see the property she didn’t take down my name or number like most apartments do to be able to follow up with me she just gave me the fees and that was it..I probably won’t move here
The worst place
I have a hard time knowing where to start with this complex. I moved out this past weekend after being a resident for 1.5 years1) Awful and incompetent office staff and management. The emails that go out are unprofessional; nothing is addressed timely; no one answers the door or the phone. I understand Covid-related policies, but dont refused to answer the door for safety and then proceed to stand 2 ft away from me and share a pen. When I emailed in our intent to vacate in July -- I didnt received a response for over a week, even after multiple attempts to reach them for confirmation of receipt. Communication is terrible. Our initial application and lease were done incorrectly causing us to re-apply and rerun credit when we wanted to re-sign our lease. Our account was also over charged every month for lack of renters insurance, though I had an active policy and had emailed it to the office several times.2) The entire complex is trashed, garbage everywhere, tenants leave trash outside of their doors for days, garbage liquid is trailed up and down the landings and stairs from valet trash, valet trash is inconsistent and often misses entire floors for days -- good luck if youre living on the 3rd floor.3) I hear break-ins happen quite often, never to me. But I did have an experience with maintenance late one evening where they came banging on my door for a maintenance emergency that was called in except that I never called for an issue and there was no issue. When I opened the door to tell them there was nothing wrong, he demanded entrance and pushed on the door and when I refused he took off screaming down the landing. He then returned banging on the door and demanding entrance again -- after the second encounter, I called the police. Everything was eventually resolved with the onsite patrol officer, however managements response was hes not from America and his culture is different. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR DEMANDING ENTRANCE INTO SOMEONES UNIT, especially after refusal of entry.4) Upon initial move-in in Feb 2019, our air conditioner did not work for 4 days; they had to order a part that was completely missing from the unit. We also continued to find small hardware screws in our carpet for months -- probably a total of 10-15 screws.5) If you have a unit up against Eldridge Pkwy, prepare for a LOT of noise. The buildings are old and thin, you can hear ALL traffic including racing mufflers and any fire trucks/EMS/police.The price in which these units are marketed are far too much for the quality you are getting, the stress from the incompetent office staff, and the lack of peace and quiet. Also, there are no amenities (pool/gym/club house) available right now, due to Covid -- but youll still be paying for them.Update: After moving out of this complex, I waited for the return of my deposit or explanation why I did not receive my deposit. After 32 days, I received an email from the apartment with a bill over $1200. Cleaning, carpet remaining life, repainting, and replacement of the microwave (which was in working order upon move out). The bill required payment within 15 days or it would be sent to collections. Keep in mind that State of TX requirements return of deposit or an explanation why within 30 days of move out, so this was already late. I wrote a letter back to the office explaning their poor practice, that they were not acting in good faith, and that I should not have been charged for replacement of the microwave. They did not call or write back until the 16th day with a message stating that they would not be communicating any further and that I should contact their legal services. They sent my account to collections. $1200 + interest.DO NOT RENT FROM THIS APARTMENT COMMUNITY OR NALS APARTMENT HOMES. Bad practices, terrible customer service, and fraudulent charges.
The only reason I gave a star is because I cannot leave a review without one. I am a CURRENT resident. I have been here since May 2020 and we were told our unit was “ready for move in”. Upon moving in our hot water heater, bathtub, washer, dryer, and dishwasher was not working. I informed the office that i am pregnant and I needed everything fixed before my baby because due to COVID I will not feel comfortable with Maintanance coming in our unit. I also have a medical disability and have a service dog. They still charged me $686.30 in pet fees which violates my federal rights. It took them 2 weeks to remove the charges but it came with hassle and rude employees to deal with. They also LIED and said I didn’t pick up my pet feces but there were 3 people, 1 Maintanance man and 2 property managers that saw me and that I spoke to. The gave me a $75 charge for that and a lease violation for “accusing” the staff of lying. They are so unprofessional and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO LIVE HERE. They need new management with better attitudes and that can be honest. I will also be filing harassment against them.
Long story short.....THESE ARE THE WORST SO-CALLED LUXURY APARTMENTS IN THE ENERGY CORRIDOR! They only look nice driving by....BE CAREFUL RENTING HERE!
The best property I’ve been on hands down. The manager, Ms. Alana and her team are always kind. They make sure that your needs are met promptly and efficiently. The Maintenance team is very organized and quick. Trash valet is great, pest control is great and they give tips on how to keep pests away. Overall, this property has convinced me to extend my stay.
Chandler Park what a joke you are! We got kicked out with two little girls because my husband was unfairly fired from there during this pandemic And now you want to charge thousands of dollars because we moved. Get out of here!!! And my husband left those apartments like new!! Painted walls and everything!! We got proof!! You Guys are something! What a shame!
The service here has been absolutely phenomenal. From the first tour of the apartment to getting our keys, Luisa has gone out of her way to make sure my experience has gone smoothly. She has keep up in contact with me to ensure my unit was perfect, any issues we had were resolved, and that I was settling in well. Highly recommend Chandler Park if you’re looking in the Energy Corridor area! I looked into multiple apartment complexes and the staff here made this the easiest move in experience I’ve ever had. The complex is incredibly clean and very well maintained. Every time I call someone answers the phone and gets me an answer immediately. No waiting or leaving voicemails necessary!
Since a lot of problems arrive, from the parking lot to the long days waiting for them to make a repair, I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.
Excellent staff member but not all, Alana, and Damaris are super nice in this office, I was out of water during hurricane Uri and Alana went above and beyond to provide me with some water she was a lifesaver. I cant thank her enough for her excellent customer service. Also, Damaris, shes such an amazing and caring employee, I was shivering out waiting to pick up my document when some rudeness staff member came out from nowhere to tell me we are close without caring about how long I was standing in the cold weather. But Damaris came to my rescue, thank you, Damaris, for your excellent and professional customer service appreciate you.
I actually came to tour these apartments and all i can say is absolutely AMAZING. The space, the living, and the area are all great and not to mention the staff. Jose was great and very informative. I really cant wait to start the new year right living here.
Where should I begin.. For it being my first apartment the experience was worth it. The staff is very welcoming, it’s like having a second family. I love when you call maintenance they come right away to fix the issue. I love they have events at the complex to get residents involve.
Chandler parks has no security. They should use the money they charge for valet trash pickup and hire a few security officers . There are so many break ins,. The mail office was broken into, mails are stolen and just yesterday, apartments were broken into. It has no security. It is so bad that the thieves were able to steal two 65 inch TVs, without any rush. You come home from work and your home gets violated by losers. I am so upset and vexed .There are no lights in the parking areas. No lights in the hallways. Since NALS purchased the unit, its been down hill. The time has come for me to leave. This is the second time i have been a victim. The last time my car window was smashed during the holidays . Whats the point of living here. The neighborhood is supposed to be a family oriented area, but lately its a free for all, whereby your properties arent safe..Next you start getting scared to live in your own home.
Upon move in, you could tell this apartment was rushed. There was paint everywhere. Appliances were glued and it looked awful. I’ve been living here for almost seven months now. Maintenance is awful. I am constantly putting in work orders for the same issues. I have been having problems with my A/C since I moved here but instead of replacing it, they continue to temporarily fix the problem. The water in my restroom sink smelled like sewer for months. Maintenance consistently told me that my drain was clogged. One of the workers even stated that he unclogged. The sewer smelled continued. I eventually hired someone to check it out and was informed there was a sewer problem. Months later, they worked on our sewer lines. I regret moving here but don’t want to move because of my daughter’s education. The complex is attractive and peaceful. I personally haven’t dealt with any break ins. The trash compactor near my building is always overflowing. Parking is okay compared to my last apartment. Amenities are okay. The pool is often dirty. I love Latoya. She’s gets things done! Courtney is also pretty good. Just do your research before leasing.
My 1st visit to the property was great. I wanted to see every aspect of the property and its amenities; the staff were more than willing to accommodate me. Upon move-in I walked into a pristine clean home! Dog owners will love this place - a ton of room for your pet to run, play, and do their business! Parking has been wonderful unlike what Ive experienced at other apartments in the area over the years. Im extremely happy to call this place home for the next 13 months!
Chandler Park is one of the best locations ive experienced so far. Luisa, Ana, and Alana have all been so nice to me and my family and have worked hard to help me with issues Ive had. I definitely recommend checking these apartments out! Ready for move in!
Great location! Minutes away from day care & Kroger’s. The entrance is very neat & so is the complex. One of the few complexes that still have a hot tub!The apartments looked so nice. I personally like their light-colored theme & the built in TV Space so I don’t need to mount the TV. Also, spacious closets. The staff are nice and professional, Marlise was very friendly and helpful.
During move out, they dont return your deposits. Be aware of these cheats. Also last month we stayed for 20 days, but their software accepts only entire months rent, which they never bothered to return back . So almost 550$ they didnt pay back to me.During move in also, they didnt give referral bonus mentioning, all the details were not entered in the application form.Forget about maintenance of this community.
Have a pleasure to work with Ms.Cynthia. She is very professional and the property is beautiful. I choose to sign a lease immediately because of the architecture of the property, the affordable pricing, the ladies in the office. Also, a bonus was the the fitness center where it gives you an opportunity to have your own fitness instructor.
Updates after living here for 10 months:pros: 1. nice location, 2. quiet communitycons: 1. Maintenance is horrendous, its been 2 months and still issues in my apartments have not been fixed during this time i called 3 times, visited leasing office 4 times and raised work order requests 4 times and also escalated to manager but nothing have done so far...2. break-ins - since last 2-3 months break-ins(both car and apartment) have increased significantly3. valet trash is hit and miss 4. leasing center staff is not helpfulLeasing center staffs service is very disappointing. We have been calling them since last 4 days about apartment inspection before signing lease and they have been postponing every day with new reason. We were trying to be co-operative due to Hurricane situation but I guess we taken for granted. even today, we called around 10.30 am and were told to come at 12 pm and when we visited property they closed it till 2 pm giving reason of staff meeting no one informed us,called us or emailed us about this development and we ended up wasting our time. Looks like we are working for them and have to make an arrangements per their convenience in our schedulesper their own corporate office they were supposed to be ready by Wednesday at least for an inspection.during application - After we applied no one cared to call us to update on status of application, i had to call multiple times to get status.Apartment visiting hours - are from 9-6 pm on weekdays but on one of my visit they closed door on 5.25 pm saying they need time to wrap upI have never experienced such service before in Houston not sure whats in store when we will move in.!
Over the years I’ve stayed at multiple apartments within the energy corridor and Chandler park is by far the worst. My lease came to an end and I’m trying to transfer to a new unit . Alana, the assistant manager asked for my dog’s shot record . My vet and I have sent her multiple copies that she “didn’t receive “. This is such a simple task yet seem like an impossible one for them. I’ve came to the office almost everyday and still nothing has been resolved.
This was an amazing experience for me as an interested future tenant! The Apartment consultant, Jose Velez made the tour an experience to remember! He answered every question I had! And knew the information like the back of his hand! I am definitely going to spread the word and become a resident in this complex! After looking at 3 different places today, I’ve decided this is the place! It felt like home!
Literally from the moment I walked in, me and my son were greeted with smiles! Looking for an apartment is so stressful and you want somewhere that you actually feel like you can call home. So many other places that I have toured I felt like I was just a number to help with a commission check. Touring with Courtney was the best! She was super sweet and helped me find the best place to call home! The prices are very competitive in the area and I love all of the amenities! So glad I took the time to stop by! I LOVE my new apartment!!
Great place
Recently took a tour of the complex. The grounds were so clean, quiet, and everyone was so friendly it was a really nice experience. Ashanti went out her way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable.
10/2019 - The grounds and the unit I moved into are amazing! I saw my floorplan and immediately fell in love. Luisa and Alana were also a huge help, and worked with me through all of the hiccups that inevitably happen when youre moving. I dont regret my decision to move here whatsoever, and Id recommend this place over and over.Update 11/13/20 - I’ve renewed my lease and still love it here. My only complaint now is the lack of adequate visitor parking, which I find to be completely unnecessary since parking is never an issue here for anybody. I see a sea of empty spaces for me all the time, but guests have to search high and low? I don’t want my guests to have to park outside of the complex just to see me after 5pm (which is when they fill), but money or whatever means more than that, I guess. I’d suggest getting rid of the policy or adding more visitor spots in more places. My vote is on getting rid of it though.
I have stayed here for a few years now and I love my apartment. The new Manager Elizabeth is super nice and accommodating! I hadnt planned on renewing my lease before the new manager but now Im considering it!
I took a tour of the property this past weekend. The location is amazing and the amenities are great. The complex is quiet with two pools and a fitness center that offers spin classes. The apartments are also spacious and affordable.
Worst management
I generally feel that chandler Park apartments is good. The price for 1 bedroom was reasonable. This place is so relaxing and office staff Ebony was helpful ! The place provides a convenient commute to office. I look forward to a long stay, and hopefully bring my mother and make it her best place as well.
Ive had the best experience here at Chandler park. The grounds and facilities are immaculate. Work orders are done in a very timely manner. The staff here is very friendly & professional & treats you like youre their #1 tenant. If youre looking for a safe & friendly environment, I would recommend Chandler Park.
Apartment community is well maintained but way too many break ins. Break ins are a common occurrence and the management does nothing to prevent it despite of all the complaints. Our apartment had a break-in 3 days back, everything got tossed about and we suffered a major loss. It happened between 6:50 pm and 7:30 pm on a weekday and our apartment is very close to the gates. The apartment security had come by and took video and reported it. Yet the management, didnt even have the courtesy to reach out to us.From my understanding, their standard reply to any burglary complaints We do currently offer a gated community with cameras throughout the main areas. We also offer a courtesy patrol company and a courtesy officer that lives on-site along with employees that live on-site. The whole gated community is a joke. Anyone could enter into complex by tailgating. And with the number of burglary happening, it could be said that the security patrol is very ineffective. Its high time they install security cameras throughout the complex if they really care about the security of their tenants. Guys please dont leave any of your valuables at home if you are not there!!!
Its a nice and safe place to live. Staff is so helpful and kind. Good community should consider for living.I still live here their service is terrible and so many burglaries happening. We are waiting for our lease completion so that we can move out. Not even worth of one star
Have a really Poor service and too many car break in within the time of leasing and when you try to complain, they ignore you the whole time, as much as you complain they never listen, they just lock you out of the leasing office, they tell you to come back within every hours and still don’t offer you any service that they are currently busy,
