This location is managed well. During the start of the pandemic, they managed reservations and members well and insured our safety all the way around, and continue to do so. Its also a very friendly location with staff and kept clean, no foul smells. It seems this location gets used pretty good so they have to repair and oil the equipment pretty often. That would be the only nitpicking thing Id mention. Really though, overall, best location, and with a view. Been to other locations but this ones always been consistent. Good job! π€
Awesome push workout tonight with Master PT Brett at 24 Hawaii Kai!
Great that this gym is open!Masks required, and cardio equipment is spaced out.Hasnt been too busy, no reservation required, and no time limit on visit..
Failed to cancel my account after shutting down during the pandemic. Ive been charged 200$ since they initially closed. Ive tried contacting them multiple times to cancel. Finally realised my account is still active when they email me about collectig my annual dues and they can only refund 2 months. Great business practices. Gym is small, crowded and outdated as is.
Very small gym. Its always busy and probably seems busier because of the small size. Due to the size, you are constantly waiting for any piece of machine, weight, or even space.Limited parking, but there arent many options for gyms in Hawaii Kai either
My home gym. Im a lifer!!
Great location and environment..
Its small. Its crowded. The equipment is old and rusty. It is ALWAYS crowded with elderly and younger ones tying up equipment either napping or on their phones or busy talking story. Parking is a nightmare as First Hawaiian Bank has over 80% of the parking reserved with a guard who enforces said parking. Will be switching to UFC once membership expires.
Very small but its clean and the staff is super friendly. Night and day from the Honolulu gym which is bigger but just as crowded. Hawaii Kai also has parking. The trainer that did my free fitness assessment, Aria, was great. I am in pretty good shape so I expected it to be easy. It wasnt. She whipped my arrogant a** into shape and taught me a few things about my strengths and weaknesses. In the end, I cant afford training right now but if I could I would highly recommend Aria.
I love this gym, I have 3 gym memberships for different reasons but this gym opened a door to several new activities for me. Instructors for classes are very good, they really work hard, I appreciate them very much!
This 24 hours isnt too crowded, even at busy times. Doesnt have as much equipment as other places, but youll be able to find parking and use the machines you want without waiting. Super friendly staff!
This concept would work if not for the βcampersβ who monopolize equipment while scrolling through their iPhones. I have seen campers pitch their tent for over 30 minutes on a piece of equipment and maybe do one or two sets. Work out and move on - but do not camp out as a courtesy to others that 24 Hour Fitness does not enforce nor include in their indoctrination beyond trying to sell a personal trainer package who are just as guilty as these βcampersβ.
I had a bad experience with one of the staff, Jasmine at Hawaiβi Kai 24 hour fitness. On 2019 new year, I called to find out if they open and until what time. Jasmine who works at the front desk gave me a hard time. She did not answer my question but asked me with cold and not friendly voice βare you the memberβ? I said βyesβ and she was silent. So I asked her again βcan you let me know if you guy open and what time close please?β She said, β we are already open now, and we always open 24 hours.β I donβt know why she made it so hard to this simple question. All she can say is βyes and until what time they would close today.β What I know is for some holidays they donβt open such as Christmas and thanksgiving...I still go to this location because it is close to my home not because some individualβs attitude. What I am saying is one bad fish can affect the whole pond.
Very different than other 24 Hours clubs. Very SMALL and cramped. Have had to wait to use stair step machines and treadmills. Can not walk in between treadmills, they are right up to the next one. Cardio is downstairs, weights upstairs. Missing amenities like towel service, etc. Air-conditioning works sporadically (or not at all) for months. Seem to always be waiting for repair person. When it does work they turn it off after 11pm. and they have no fans - very uncomfortable at night. Staff at front desk is friendly and always greets you and says good by. The view is beautiful during day hours, but non -existent once the sun goes down.I will be switching to a gym in Kakaako when my year membership is done.
KANEOHE 24 HR FITNESS, still a great place to exercise, especially with workers there like Brandi, who always makes me feel better just entering, as covid-19 or not, still better than trying to get good equipment for your home. I watch them clean after they close, definitely not easy!
Horribly for cleanliness. The staff is nice, and they recently got new equipment, however it ends at that.Super dirty. I asked staff about cleaning of a super dirty machine, and they said we dont do that. That is what the paper towels are forThe other 24 hours in HI are just as bad or worse. Sad because I used to like working out there.
Yoga classes are overcrowded. People touching heads with feet. Management not willing to open up more yoga classes that obviously would be successfully filled. The floors are dirty. After zumba class they pass a dry huge mop that simply expands peoples sweat all over.Aerobic machines are also dirty with dripping sweat and floors are also dirty.
Unprofessional behavior from a personal trainer at this gym.(He was wearing a personal trainer employee uniform)Seriously really..I heard him snicker or laugh at me as I worked out/doing my squats today. I dont know what was his problem? He didnt like my form? Not coming back and Im going to ask for a refund from my personal training program that I signed up for tomorrow.
Great staff. . But the new music videos are just too loud and distracting; And seem to be more important then the training. Really!
We have worked out here 4 or 5 times, while in the area and I have to say that the staff is very nice, the view is spectacular and there is plenty of places around to grab a bite afterwards.
Its great to work out all the time.
I love this gym, I feel comfortable working out here!!! Not so crowded which I like !
1 am not busynoon kind of crowdedevening time plenty peoplemorning gym sesh preferably imo
No idea what the club is like hence my 3 stars, but I signed up for a 3 day trial, got a job and couldnt attend, and received 4 phone calls, 4 emails and a voicemail urging me to show up and even asking when I planned to show up! Super invasive and rude, I even asked the women on the phone to not call me twice and it kept happening! So thats my experience here, couldnt even step foot inside nor do I want to any more haha
If you like it when the dudes working there are hitting on the customers and the company does nothing to remedy the situation and only to get your shoes stolen and have them doing nothing about it, then its a great place.
Always half to wait for a piece of equipment and half the time there a machine broken. Machines need an update. I hate when members put a towel on a machine then go use another machine, then they get mad if u move their towel. Bad gym ediquite!!
Nice staff.
Watch your bills - they always messing up with your money, making unauthorized charges.
This is a small gym for the amount of people that use it...come in the middle of the day or late at night
They were not consistent with the invitation passes
Only mostly boring guys.
Nice view
