These people are miracle workers. My dog, Tyson, has always been super sweet and playful, but he scares easily. He’s not aggressive, but his first reaction to people and dogs he does not know is to run away. I wanted to put him in daycare to help build his confidence. When he first arrived at iWag, he was (as I expected) scared and had no interest in playing with other dogs; however, he warmed up to the staff pretty quickly.I almost gave up on the idea of him interacting with other dogs, but through the hard work and persistence of the staff, he finally started opening up after a few weeks. He now loves going to daycare to see the staff and other dogs. I can’t thank everyone enough for what they’ve done for him. He is so much happier and a lot more confident. The entire staff is super nice and helpful. They’re also really great about sending pictures/videos during the day if you ask. Daycare at iWag was the best decision I’ve ever made for him.
IWag was great at helping this first-time dog owner family choose the perfect dog. We adopted our Penny in May. The training program is amazing. It was the perfect way for us to get acquainted. Concentrating on just a handful of commands is so smart! I recommend their training for all dogs/owners!!We boarded her with iWag when we went on vacation, which was like a homecoming for her! It was so comforting for us to know she was in a safe and happy place with people who know and love her. We used the shuttle with Drew, which was super convenient and easy.I cannot say enough good things about this organization, but especially the training. We love our Penny! Thank you iWag!
I sent my dog, Jet, to the Ultimate training package. He wasnt a bad dog by any means. He has now been out of training for a little over a week. The change in his attitude, manners, and his overall demeanor is so amazing. He is still the goofy, lovable dog that I knew him as before I sent him. But now he is this amazingly well trained dog. If I ever get another dog, I will be sending it straight to training. Darian and the crew are amazing with dogs. They are willing to spend as much time with you as youd like to make sure you understand what is going on, and how to continue training when you go home.
We wanted to adopt precious Lily to be our Buddy’s furever sister but it appears it will not happen. This place is excellent for their communication! It appears they offer an excellent training program too. I have not seen another one like it, and believe me, I have contacted many places seeking a dog similar to Buddy to adopt and have not come across anything like this place. I think you will be happy with them. Here is a picture of our Buddy...
We were so excited to get our adorable puppy from iWag! She came to us clean, healthy and happy. Every detail was provided to us (her medical history, where we could get food, a manual for how to acclimate her to our home etc). But soon our little tiny puppy was not little or tiny, and we were starting to lose control. Our 3 year old was scared of her, she took the adults for a walk. In comes iWag. When they say they are there for a life of your dog- they mean it! We were nervous to have signed up for the training, but now we dont have enough good things to say. We got a call from the shuttle driver the night before to ensure everything was set. We got pictures and email updates during her stay. And most importantly, we got a puppy who had an incredible boarding and training experience. She came home happy and a pleasure to be around. iWag not only trained her but they provided us with the tools and tricks to be successful on our own. Best part- we know that whenever we leave town- she will always have her second family to stay with!
Listen, this place is amazing! By far the absolute best pet adoption we have come across!! They truly love and cherish their dogs and it shows. The team thoroughly checks out potential families and work with you find the right fit. Theyre dedicated to the safety and health of each and every dog. The entire adoption process took maybe a week amidst a pandemic and major weather. We are so so thankful to the iWag family for helping us find our pup!
This is THE BEST place to board your fur baby. The first time Drew picked up our pup Cricket, she ran to him like he was an old friend, so I knew he was good people. I love that they have a pick-up and drop-off option, it always saves us that extra bit of needed time when we are getting ready to leave for vacation. We love that Cricket gets to roam around iWags farm and chill in their house, instead of being cooped up in a crate all day like at most traditional boarding facilities. They KNOW dogs, and will give your fur baby the same attention and love and care that you do. And I love the pictures they send you of your pup having fun while you are away. We are able to relax on our vacations knowing Cricket is in good hands.
Iwags: Decatur Team is a AMAZING !! Kristie and her team made the adoption seamless. Kristie was quick and responsive to any questions I had during the adoption process. She was accommodating and quite helpful, especially knowing we were traveling from Mass to pick up our little guy. Not only, would I recommend Iwags, I myself would adopt again in the future. Thank you for everything !! -Kevin, Mary and Junior
We sent our 8 month old puppy to Darian after he was “kicked out” of another board and train. He had severe separation anxiety and was not good with people in general. They kept him 4 weeks at no extra charge. My dog is a different dog!!! We will continue to send him for daycare and boarding. I cannot emphasize enough what a life changer this has been! Worth every penny! The staff is amazing and truly love the dogs! If you need a great place to train or board look no further!!! So worth it!
I just to say thank you to the owner. My experience has nothing to do with dogs. I was passing by and had a flat tire in the middle of the road. I parked at iwag and saw drew, the owner (sorry if I forgot the name). He was so kind enough to change the tire for me when I didnt have the right tools. Thank you so much for your kindness, if you are like this for a stranger you never met, I can imagine how great you are to your customers. Stay blessed!!!!
Brought home little Annie a week ago now! She is the sweetest girl. As a first time dog owner they made me feel so supported during the whole process, with no stupid questions and always being super responsive. It’s great to be able to adopt from a shelter so knowledgeable and caring about their dogs - it really feels like a family there. She’ll be going to their full training program in November and I can’t wait to see how it goes! Having a well trained dog is so important and they support you entirely through the process. Can’t thank you guys enough!!
When I first discovered this company I was amazed! I couldn’t believe that you could get a dog and proper training all in one place for a great price. I was set on getting a puppy from here because it seemed perfect for newbies but my interaction with them changed my mind.I submitted an application and didn’t hear back so I emailed them for a follow up after a few days. They claimed that they emailed me previously regarding my references but I let them know I never received any email from them which was the point of me following up. After they called my references on June 9th, I didn’t hear anything back from them. I followed up on June 22 expressing how the only two times I got an update was when I had to reach out to them first, and to this day I haven’t heard back from this company. You charge people to apply and then don’t even give them an answer, quite sad. I believe that even if an applicant is denied, they should be notified as well. This company has great potential but they definitely need to work on their communication.
We just got our dog Ham back from the 28 day off leash training and we can tell such a big difference already! We visited him every week and had hour long training sessions with our superstar trainer Emily. She worked so hard with him on and off leash and with the commands. We gained valuable hands-on knowledge to continue his training at home now and feel confident we can get him to where he needs to be. Thank you iWag team!
IWag is so great! They take such wonderful care of their pups so they are happy and healthy when they find there way to a forever home! They were so helpful when I was searching for my sweet girl, Skye! I will definitely go back when I look for my next fur baby.
We were searching for a second dog when we moved into our new home and came across iWag and a certain dog we had to have. The application process is a lot of work and very detailed and it’s not cheap. It’s in the best interest of the dogs so we didn’t mind and it all fell into place for us. We had several vets in the past and getting that information was tough because we had an issue with one of those vets. The people at iWag were very responsive and patient with us. We got our pup and she’s amazing.
If you’re looking to adopt a dog, I highly recommend iWag. Drew is committed to making sure any dog is the right fit for you and your family. He is incredibly accommodating and will even bring a dog to your house to test with your other pets, which other adoption agencies don’t offer. He’s also very professional and has a lot of experience with training dogs. Their website is helpful in providing important information about each dog, such as energy level, friendliness, etc. The dogs they have up for adoption are healthy and have benefitted from the socialization they get at their facility. MJ is a great asset to their staff and is very helpful with the initial meet and greet sessions. The training packages they offer will help ensure any new pet adjusts well to their new home. Thanks again, Drew!
I took my 9 months old pup to their 28 days training, my dog had a tendency to run up to any dog he saw and people excitedly to play, however he is 75 lbs at 9 months and he would scare others. He also struggled knowing his own strength and playfulness level. At first I was intimidated by the idea of him being away at a strange place for so long and using a shock collar. By the end of his training I was afraid he wouldn’t wanna come back! Lol, he absolutely enjoyed his stay there, every visitation his tail was always wagging and showed loved to all employees. Thank you Darian and Emily for working so hard with him, he has been able to go to different environments without us having to struggle for him to listen. He is definitely a happier dog now than he was before! Thank you iwag for your complete service from adoption, neutering and training!!!!!!!!
Prices for adoption are ridiculously high better off at a pet smart or shelter hex even online listings w/training is cheaper than this 🤦🏾♀️
Fantastic experience. They worked with me to help me find the perfect dog to come and join the family. Everyone I worked with at iWag was responsive, communicative, and just plain nice. It was a breath of fresh air! I loved that they actually checked references and also checked in with my vet during the approval process. I liked the questions they asked on their application - - it looks like a ton of work for them, but I think that speaks to the fact that they actually care that the right dog gets to the right family for that dog. Appreciate yall.
This place is awesome. We adopted our dog Ariel from them and she has been one of the best ever. The people really care about these dogs they take in. Best place in Atlanta to rescue a dog for sure. The training is well worth the extra money. I will definitely go back.
First thing I want to say is they, and even more so Darian, went above and beyond to help us. It felt like she put the dog first and made it all work. We used IWag training for our 2yr old Husky/Shepard mix. She needed more fine tuning with basic commands, also to help us help her walking and keeping her safe as well as happy. We could tell a difference right away and now our walks are more enjoyable. Darian gave us the skills to take home to practice helping our dog with her training. We loved that our dog got to have fun while training as well, she loves to be outside and play with other dogs so it was a great experience. Everyone that I talked to was very helpful.
Iwag is amazing! My family needed to feel complete so we decided to adopt. After some research I found iwag. The application process can be difficult, but at the end you really see why. They are really focused on finding a good family for all the doggies. Marcia was very patient with me, and very detailed. Kristie was very informative, and helpful. Also the young lady that showed me the puppies was very delightful. Take a look at their social media, and you can really see how much they care for the animals. I am very grateful to have found them and i’m extremely happy with the care they gave my puppy. Adopt with them!!
We adopted our pup, Sunny, a few months ago and its been a great experience working with iwag from adoption through training! We recently brought her home from the 28-day training and we are very pleased with results and the care she received while she was there -- Sunny is a shy gal, but I could see how comfortable she became there, which put me at ease and each staff member seemed to know her well. Plus, she needed medication while she was there and they were very accommodating of her needs and I got updates on her health.Darian and the other trainers are wonderful!! They are professional, responsive, knowledgeable and clearly very dedicated to their job. We (Sunny, me and my kids) all have a different skill set now -- shes so much better on the leash, responding to calls and shes SO GOOD off leash! Of course, a big part of the training program was training US and they answered all our questions thoroughly and with patience. I highly recommend this training program -- you wont regret it! And if we ever need to board her, I plan on sending her to iwag -- Itll feel like sending her to stay with family!
Kristie and Drew run a top-notch organization that is world class and provides an invaluable experience to the community! Their service for adoption and training is the best in the community! I would highly recommend them.
We had the best experience with our pups adoption process. they were recommended from friends and sure enough, they seemed so thorough starting with their website. its definitely a well oiled process that they take very seriously. once you are approved, the process was quick with so many trying to adopt at this time. all the staff that we worked with were so great and getting back to us as soon as they could during this hectic time. we couldnt be happier to have worked with iwag!! we fell in love with our pup the moment we saw him. we knew he was ours. we recently found out a new neighbor on our street also adopted a pup from iwag, so we have friends!!
Stopped by to make a donation. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.Thank you for everything you do!🙏❤️✨
We had a FANTASTIC experience with iWag! I honestly dont remember how I found them originally (Google magic), but the training they offer caught my eye. My husband and I both had family dogs as kids, but this is our first dog as grown-ups. In addition, we have two kids (5 & 7), so we felt like training was really important. Having them help us with the training before even bring her home was an amazing help.Due to Covid, I was expecting the whole process to be a little on the slow side. Well, if our experience was slow, I cant imagine what its normally like. We went from application to meeting dogs in less than a week. The application was thorough, but not crazy. The volunteers were great at keeping me up to date on where they were in the process. The only bummer was that we werent able to take our kids with us to help pick a dog, but its completely understandable that they want to limit the number of people at the facility. We opted to take advantage of the training program, so once we got the adoption finalized Bella went out to their facility in Temple. Once she was out there the whole family was able to go see her. We went out once a week to play with her, hear about her training, and practice with her commands, leash walking, etc. Darian was her main trainer and she was great with Bella AND my kids. She did a good job of showing them how to stand and speak to encourage Bella to follow commands. We finally brought Bella home this past weekend and she has been a wonderful addition to the family. Im sure a lot of it is just her personality, but I know the training she received also made a big difference.I think were probably going to be a 1 dog family (she has other pup cousins she can play with), but if we ever decide to get another dog, we will 100% be going through iWag again.
We adopted 2 Senior dogs From Iwag. This rescue is top notch. The way they care for each and every dog that comes thru their door is like no other. Every dog is loved and cared for from the moment they enter. They find the perfect match for every dog they adopt out. We will defiantly adopt from them in the future
This is a long one, but stay with me…My husband and I lost our beloved senior lab and wanted to start the process of finding another pup to join our family. I came across a lab at iWag and reached out to see if he would be a good fit. I heard back from Kristie quickly and learned he would not be the ideal candidate for us…so we kept searching. I then inquired about iWag’s training services, should we happen to find the right dog somewhere else. While chatting with Darian about training options (as I left yet another shelter, empty-handed), she mentioned a young lab was just surrendered that might be a good fit. I called my husband-filled him in, and when I arrived home, immediately started filling out the adoption paperwork to be considered. The process is a lengthy one, but 100% worth it. It gave me so much reassurance that iWag truly cares about their dogs and the homes they go to. After the background check was complete, we were notified we were approved adopters so we wasted no time in scheduling time to meet the lab Darrian mentioned.Once we arrived, everyone was so upfront about her story, her lifestyle and what she needed most from a family. We signed the adoption paperwork that day, after playing an hour of fetch, and our new pup began the 28-day training. Emily and all of the staff are so amazing! We loved visiting each week to check in on her progress and were so thrilled when training was over and we could finally bring her home! While the price tag for adoption may seem high, it is so incredibly worth it and can’t possibly come close to covering the work they put into caring and training your dog. Even looking past all of the perks you get for the rest of your dog’s life, the wonderful things iWag does for any dog that makes it’s way to them, is simply amazing. We are so grateful iWag opened their arms to Wellie (formerly Millie), so that she could make her way to us…and our couch!
Really excellent place, nice people and happy dogs. We adopted Mack from them and then brought him back to Darian for training. She treated him like one of her own, and did a great job training him. They were genuinely sad to leave one another when we picked him up. Highly recommend them!
I sent Meatball through IWag’s training program when he was about 16 weeks old and this early training has paid off a million-fold. He is now 2 1/2 yrs old and we are taking what he learned at IWag and working towards Service Dog certification. As an example, I took Meatball into TJ Maxx with me the other day and he was the BEST shopping buddy. He stayed next to the cart, did not approach people, and stayed focused and on task. In fact, people didn’t even know he was there!! That wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for IWag’s “puppy boot camp” and all that Meatball learned about being responsive and listening. This was the best $$$ I ever spent. I can confidently take Meatball anywhere, on or off leash, and know that he will be kind and respectful. Hats off to Kristie and her team for their professionalism, knowledge and follow-up with their training program.I also want to mention that I adopted a senior dog from IWag about a year ago. Very recently, Odin declined and I just wasn’t sure about making the end-of-life decision. I called Kristie a couple of times to discuss my concerns and she was exceptionally professional, compassionate and kind. When it was finally time, I felt like the whole IWag family was behind me, supporting me through a really difficult and extremely sad time. They care about their dogs, and the owners who adopt them, and continue to provide guidance and support even after the adoption process is complete. If you’re looking for the real deal, you can’t get much better than IWag.
We have adopted 2 dogs went to Georgia from central Florida and would do it again in a heartbeat. Great rescue the really care about the dogs and truly finding the right homes.
We sent both of our dogs to iWags training camp before our new baby arrives. Our larger dog is five and had some bad habits, but Darien and the team have totally transformed him! Both dogs are walking on a leash, responsive off leash, and overall listen extremely well. We drove out to visit them each week, and Darien spent so much quality time with us to give us as much information on the techniques we should use with them when they return home. Each week built off of the week before and was so easy to adapt to. Darien is very knowledgeable and most definitely speaks their language. While they were there, they ran out of food and rather than having us take an extra trip out, Darien handled it and was able to get them the exact food they needed. She texted me whenever I asked about their progress, and reached out too just to let us know how they were doing.iWag was recommended to us from a close friend, and we will continue to sing their praises! We are so thankful to them for fixing our furry friends, we will certainly use them for all boarding needs moving forward!
Very unprofessional, staff assumed that a black person can’t afford to adopt a pet and the vet fees. I definitely would not recommend going her to adopt. I feel sorry for all the pets here that could have had a home but due to the unprofessional workers with are stuck at iawg.
Honestly cannot recommend iWag enough. I adopted my puppy, Merle, from them during Covid-19 situation and they went above and beyond to make sure the process went smoothly and that I was well-informed (he is my first puppy so I had lots of questions!). Although the situation meant our conversations were socially distant and cut a bit short, the love they have for what theyre doing and their puppies is obvious. So happy to have found an organization so committed to maintaining relationships with their dogs/new households and making sure theyre set to share a good life!
IWag was wonderful in my adoption of Charlie the senior beagle! I appreciated the thoroughness of the application process - this business is serious about making sure their dogs will be in good hands. I can tell that Charlie was very loved during his time at iWag! I love him as well, and Im thankful they kept him in such great health and care.
My first experience with this place wasnt the best, simply because when I called an employee by the name Micky did not really help with my questions, they just told me to email regarding details about the training at iwag and for daycare etc. I didnt feel like my questions were answered and I was just immediately brushed off . However I decided to drive to the location to inquire about more information . As I pulled in I noticed someone taking out the garbage and had IWAG attire on . I didnt even need to stop her, she greeted herself and asked how she could help me today. I told her about my previous phone call and asked her all the questions that I still have not received an answer too. And when I tell you Sayvone took the time to answer all my questions with detail and she even helped me pull up the website on my phone and navigate to each section on the website. I was more than satisfied when I left she didnt brush me off, she didnt immediately tell me to email she simply helped me with my questions and was very nice about it. I understand that shelters are extremely busy however taking the time to help customers with their questions and concerns should not be limited to email. I personally would like to say THANK YOU again Sayvone for your help .
We had a wonderful experience adopting our two new 11 week old pups from iWag. The process was made so easy by their meticulous details. I really appreciated the vetting process to ensure youre a good fit for a pup and theyre a good fit for you. My husband, my 3 girls and I just picked up our cuties today. We were impressed by the friendly welcome we received from the owners and volunteer. We were walked through our paperwork and allowed time to ask questions and discussed their schedule. They were also so accommodating when I brought the wrong size leash; letting us borrow one of theres so that we could leave the facility. Another positive and what I didnt realize until watching pickup video, prior to arrival, is that they include pet insurance for 30 days. What a bonus! Thank you all for the great service you provide to Atlanta community. Were looking forward to the training in November!!!
I have nothing but good things to say about iWag! I adopted my dog (Rocky) from iWag in May 2020 and was immediately impressed with how thorough their adoption application process was (references, specific questions relating to providing and caring for a dog, etc.) and I loved that they offered discount training for their adopted dogs. These things really showed their dedication and care for the work they do!I signed up for the 14-day training when I adopted Rocky and as it got closer to the time for him to go, I began to have concerns. I reached out to the head trainer, Darian, and expressed my fears and concerns which were primarily related to using a training (shock) collar. She thoroughly went through the curriculum of how they train, when they introduce the collar, and how they introduce and utilize the collar which immediately alleviated some of my concerns. She reassured me it was only used if/when necessary and never at a higher level than it needed to be. This was evidentially true after I went to the training sessions and saw the collar in use. I no longer have a fear or concern with training collars (if used properly like the iWag trainers do) and I even feel silly for ever doubting them.I really appreciated them providing updates and pictures of Rocky (when I asked) of him during training sessions and playtime-- you could tell he was having a BLAST and he was responding very well to the training. I trust Darian, Emily, and the other trainers more than anyone with Rocky. They know what they are doing and they care about these dogs and our experience as owners. Rocky came home from training the same silly, loving dog he was before, but with better manners and recall! I will be using iWag for all future adoptions, training, and boarding. They are outstanding!!!
My family can’t be happier with the process of bringing our puppy home. They cover spay/neuter if you go through Lifeline and they really do care about the progress of the dog and how the family is bonding. Kristie and the crew are very responsive and fun to talk to! We just finished the two week training program in Temple and can’t believe how much our dog has learned. We have a lot of construction in our neighborhood right now and being able to simply say “Here!” and our dog just runs right back inside is such a stress relief! They provide the collar for continuing training and recommendation for how long to use it at home. Darian and Emily were straightforward and kind during the process, especially with fielding my many emails and working with our schedules! We really couldn’t be happier.
A Google review simply cannot capture the amount of gratitude, appreciation, and respect I have for iwag, it’s owner, employees, and volunteers. They are committed to saving countless dogs, often nursing them back to health (sometimes with absolutely heart breaking goodbyes), and finding the right forever homes for them. This is not a pet store selling pets in a transactional way for profit. Each dog has a story and iwag honors that by placing them in safe, secure, and loving homes. The cost of adoption is nothing compared to the work they do and the love poured into the dogs. After adopting two dogs and referring a friend who adopted a third, I continue to donate more to this wonderful organization because they are saving so many lives (fur and human). When I look at my two sweet dogs, it breaks my heart to think about where they’d be if iwag hadn’t rescued them. Clearly, I highly recommend this organization to anyone wanting to adopt a dog or multiple dogs! A million stars.
Great new place and nice people
I had just lost my dog to cancer unexpectedly and I wanted to adopt another good right away. I contacted 4 dog adoption places over the course of a week before I found iWag. I heard back from iWag the same day I contacted them (I only ever heard back from one of the other adoption places and that was to tell me I wasnt a good fit for the dog that I had inquired about because I didnt live in a house). The adoption process at iWag was thurough and didnt happen over night but I appreciate the idea that when the dogs are placed they are in their Forever Home. And I was never in the dark, I received emails throughout the screening process to let me know how things were going. I even got an email to give my vet and references a heads up to keep the process moving efficiently.Everyone I delt with either through email or in person was professional and friendly. Its obvious that these guys do this because they care. They are good people, let them help you find the next member of your family.Sincerely,Bragis dad ❤️
Wow- cant recommend this adoption shelter and training program enough! My dog got constant attention from Darian (head trainer) and she came back wonderfully trained. Setting a good foundation for a healthy life between owner/ pet is crucial, and iWag does everything to set your family up for success!
We adopted our dog, Duke, from iWag 5 years ago. He was exactly as the staff described him. We opted for the 14 day training, and I must say, it is amazing! Duke responds to the word no, he sits at the door and waits for you to tell him it is ok to go out, was house trained and is an overall great dog. He had some negative behaviors that were explained to us in depth before we adopted him. There were no surprised at all!Recently, I came across a dog at a local shelter. He was a mess of medical problems. He almost died while he was in the shelter due to his poor condition. He was turned down for rescue by a multitude of other groups because he was unadoptable I explained the situation to Darian and was immediately told Yes, we will help him. This rescue goes so much further than any other rescue I have encountered. They truly care about the dogs. Thank God for iWag!
If I could rate with ZERO stars I absolutely would. Kristie is nasty, unprofessional, and unreasonable. It appears as though any question asked is received as a challenge or an indication that one, 1) cant afford an animal, 2) are unprepared for the responsibility of a pet, or 3) should simply take their business elsewhere. if youre in the business of assisting families with pet adoption, what makes it okay to deny someone who questions the fees yet STILL advised theyll sent payment and contract during business hours the following day? Your response was tacky. If you cant operate a business without your feelings on your sleeve or without getting defensive when asked a question, you may want to consider another profession or have sometime else be the face of your unprofessional brand. Consider rebranding. Too many low star reviews of potential clients saying the same thing can only confirm that YOU are the problem.
This establishment is top notch!! Communication between us was timely and friendly, and the coordination process was very smooth. There is a very nice and well kept outdoor area where you can view and interact with all of the babies, and can see that they are all very well cared for. We will be adopting our new family member from here, thats for sure! Thanks!!!
I just adopted a puppy from here & let me tell you!!!!! My experience at finding a fur baby was not so great until I came across iWag. I found this company on google after being let down by several dog scammers. Kristie is very responsive, professional, & honest. My application was processed quickly & it did not take long before I moved to the next steps. Kristie & the staff really care about the fur babies & do their best to match them with the right families. I cannot wait to spoil my new baby!! If you are looking to adopt a new addition to your family, go through them!!!
We just adopted our beautiful puppy from here. We just left the vet she has a good bill of health!! this is a wonderful facility. The adoption process was so easy and they communicated through the entire process. I took us all of maybe 3 days. We worked with Drew who was awesome! Also the pet supply store they recommended Hollywood Feed was awesome they talked us through everything we needed to know about having a puppy and an animal and what to expect!!! Overall A+ for me!!!
Sent pup for 28 training. The pup loved it and is fun and we have the tools for a great relationship!
IWag is awesome! The staff is so efficient and caring. Process of adoption was very quick. Our new puppy is truly a joy!
We adopted Winston in May and he has been such a fun addition to the family. He was quite rambunctious and as he got older, he was chewing and jumping on everything. The 14-day off leash training with Darien came at just the right time. When he came back, he was calm, responded to all of the commands and is almost like a new dog. We cant recommend iWag and the training iWag provides enough. Wish we could give more than five stars.
Everyone at I-Wag is extremely nice and they respond to your inquiries very quickly and professionally. They helped me find an amazing puppy for my family and the process was outstanding! I have been so thrilled with I-Wag throughout my interactions with them and could not recommend them highly enough. They do phenomenal work and they all seem to truly love what they do! If you are looking for a new friend for you or your family, I would absolutely recommend you use i-wag.
We adopted and trained our dog Remy with iWag, and they have been amazing! Kristie and Darian are both very responsive, which was especially important when adopting during quarantine. They work very hard to keep up with customers AND take top-notch care of all the pups. Maggie poured hours into caring for our pup and his siblings as they battled through parvo. We added on the 2 week training when we adopted Remy, and we are so glad we did! He was already well-behaved, but weve seen such a HUGE improvement in his responsiveness! Plus they let you keep the training collar which allows us to continue to teach him and walk him off-leash in some areas. In general, everyone at iWag really knows what theyre doing when it comes to dogs AND they genuinely care for each pup they meet. I would highly recommend them for adoption and/or training!
I was rejected an opportunity to adopt a dog after making 2 visits and agreeing to adopt the puppy. I contacted Kristie and after some confusion over the time frame I sent the following email asking if anything could be done with the fees and if not thats ok I would complete the application and submit the fee the next day after visiting him the second time. Kristie contacted me at 10:07pm and not only said they dont reduce fees but that I could not adopt the puppy because I merely ASKED about the fees. she said they dont hold dogs(idk why that matters if Im willing to get the info and pay in the next day) but whatever -- I spent 2-3 hours via email going back and forth only for her to be unreasonable-- I wouldnt recommend them. Edit based on response below --- I said at 4:22 I had the contract completed and merely asked a yes no question about your fees... YOU responded at 10:07 I said this could be completed the next day wheres the delay? You said and I quote We won’t be completing the adoption. at 12:47am Your tone and approach were truly unprofessional and I stand by my review. I will continue to share this experience with others.
Could not say better things about iWag! We adopted our puppy, Finnley, back in April and have since completed the four week training with Darian and Emily (and everyone else who was so helpful and kind at the Temple location). We recommend iWag to everyone and will most definitely be returning when we are ready to find our next family member! We love being part of the iWag family!
This was a wonderful experience. We just adopted the most wonderful puppy from iWag. Their pickup process was very well organized. I appreciate the care they took to ensure the adopters safety. Millie is sweet, healthy, and happy as can be as she settles into her new home. Thank you iWag!
WOW The Italian food was super yummy recommend the Instinct Original Grain-Free Dry its very yummy!5 STARS
I adopted my pup in April 2020 and the staff handled the adoption process during the pandemic so well. The staff truly cares about each animal and completes recommendation screenings to make sure every fit it perfect.
I cannot endorse iwag strongly enough! They are totally FABULOUS! I adopted my little angel puppy from them and had the best experience. He was clearly loved and looked after to the highest of standards. I definitely recommend working and supporting this important organization!
Wow! From the very beginning of our journey with iWag, their team was professional, responsive, empathetic, and a complete joy to work with. To say our family searched high and low for the perfect four-legged addition would be an understatement. We had become dis-heartened at submitting applications or inquiries on pups with no response until we found the iWag team. We submitted our application and were consistently kept up-to-date on progress as well as steps to take should we not be able to adopt our preferred pup at the time. After total understanding at some last minute travel, confirmation our (now) nugget was still available following a prior family meet and greet and a very early morning with some excellent volunteers, we adopted our Moose! Our relationship didn’t stop there. We then scheduled a 28 day training with the iWag team. Moose was scheduled and worked with Darian, the lead trainer for iWag! We heard updates both in person and over email on a weekly basis and felt Darian’s love of our favorite guy consistently. His leash skills were night and day when he got home and he continues to improve. Darian ensured our family was confident in his off leash commands, patiently answered what was seemingly a hundred questions and has followed-up on our progress via email. While I could on-and-on about various stories with the iWag team, I can’t begin to express how grateful we are to the organization! We plan to recommend to anyone who asks!
These folks really love all the dogs. Great training and great place to board!!!
First, this organization does really important work rescuing and caring for dogs. Every staff member (including the Executive Director) we communicated with seemed devoted to his/her work and worked really hard.I’m certain she will write a lengthy response to this, but our experience was soured by the Executive Director’s reaction to any feedback that wasn’t/isn’t praise. We were shocked and deeply saddened by how things unfolded specifically in communications with her.I expressed confusion and frustration, and that was not accepted well at all. I am happy to share the email chain with anyone who needs or wants to review the communication. Please just reach out to me if you need to see everything in detail. It seems from other reviews that most people have a wonderful experience at iWag, and I sincerely hope that’s the case for everyone else moving forward because every dog deserves great care and a great home with our fellow dog lovers.
We adopted our beautiful pup from iWag, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and clearly passionate about the work they do. Our pup was clearly loved and well taken care of while in their care. Cannot recommend them strongly enough if you are looking to add a 4 legged soul to your family.
We just adopted our puppy last week from this rescue! We know that theres been an uptick in demand for puppies during this period of self-isolation, but Kristen was very accommodating and worked hard to ensure every puppy was ready to able to go to a good home. If any issues emerged, they were quick to work with us to solve it!
What a great experience! We adopted two puppies from iWag and could not be happier. You feel like you are becoming a part of the iWag family. They are there for support and training and to answer any questions we may have. I recommend them to anyone I know looking for a pup.
Very knowledgeable and caring people who dedicate their lives to this shelter. The directors and volunteers seem to eat, sleep, breathe dogs and want to make sure that their people and animals are all taken care of. This includes emergency medical attention of dogs that were dropped off in the middle of the night, round the clock care, proper training of volunteers AND new adopters. We adopted our dog from here and continue to utilize their doggy day care services. We love the warm and friendly staff, and will continue to keep in touch with the shelter.
3 weeks and long application process with them asking the same questions multiple times from different employees. If you dont have proof from every animal you ever had with vet records they will give you a hard time. Place is a money scam and cares little about pets just about making money.
We had a great experience with iWag! We were interested in a couple of dogs and they made sure we were the perfect fit with the dog we finally adopted. All of the dogs are so well cared for while they are with iWag, even my Vet was impressed with the vet services our pup got while in their care. We could not be happier!
I adopted my sweet boy from them and they are an amazing group of dog lovers. They sacrifice their lives to save the pups who would otherwise be forgotten. The sheets are actually really clean too 😉🤣. There is a reason people come from all over the country to adopt. Worth every penny and second of your time to visit and meet the staff and pups.
Id give them a million stars if I could! We adopted our precious puppy there about a month ago and have been using them for daycare occasionally since then. I cant say enough good things about the kindness and sincerity of the organization and of Kristie herself. They are passionate and doing such an amazing job! We love iWag so so soooo much!!
Our babies are on day 21 of their 28 day training session. I couldn’t find enough positive adjectives to describe our experience. Darian has been professional and positive with every interaction and has responded to all my questions and wellness checks. I can tell that my dogs have been well loved while in her care and have sported the biggest dog smiles when we see them. Not only are they happy but their behavior is SO MUCH BETTER!! We can’t wait to bring them home next week but look for many future visits with iWag in the future! Thank you for caring for our pups and our family!
I just adopted Bailey and I cant say enough about how wonderful all the people at iWag are. Even though they had to adapt their process due to Covid19, they were able to help me through the adoption quickly and with the utmost care. Iwag is truly a caring and professional organization.
We love this place! They are such loving and caring people towards the dogs. There is nowhere else like itIn my opinion! We have boarded our dog there several times and he is headed there tomorrow forthe 28 day training!
Love, love iWag!! Weve adopted two of the best dogs ever from them and would never think of looking anywhere else again. Our doggos also go to iWag for their boarding. They enjoy the amenities and all the attention they get!! Highly recommend for all their services - be sure to check them out first!
This is the BEST RESCUE!! We have adopted 2 dogs from them!! They have been the BEST additions to our family!! Their dogs are very well cared for. The building is well laid out for the dogs they have onsite and very clean. They do thorough screening for potential adopters. We will adopt from them again!!
Love what they are doing here. We adopted and are using their training program.
This place is amazing. They love very single dog that comes their way as their very own from day one. The care for each and every dog is Top Notch. I have adopted 2 dogs from them and I will adopt again from them in a heartbeat. They take on some of the worse cases where others would turn their backs on. The dogs in their care are so welled cared for and loved.
An experience like no other. The joy these pups have while waiting for a home is a beautiful thing to experience. Volunteering, even for a brief time will make you fall in love with the humans that put their all into making the best life until they get their family. These dogs have a family home experience while waiting. Same love poured on both boarders and rescues alike, they will inspire you!
I had rated this place 5 stars because obviously i love my puppy and ive had him now for almost 5 months. However, my experience since then with Kristie the owner has been nothing short of childish and unacceptable. She refused to accept that I was disappointed when dropping off my puppy for his neutering and requested that i change my mind and reconsider my thoughts and feelings. Rather than accepting constructive feedback as a business owner and moving forward ( you will not always have 5 stars you need to learn to accept that) she proceeded to bicker back and forth with me calling me unfair and unreasonable for having my own thoughts about the situation. When I told her I felt the way I did and that would not change right now she cancelled the training portion of the package I purchased in spite. DO NOT GET A DOG HERE. I love my puppy but I could have easily gotten a puppy anywhere else in the area where the fee isnt so high and the owner actually acts like an owner and not a child.
A Different Kind of Dog Shelter is EXACTLY what iWag is in all the best of ways. From the care and attention the dogs get to the service after adoption everything truly is about what is best for the dogs, while making sure that the families that adopt dogs are 100% satisfied. I am so thankful I heard about iWag when I moved to Georgia. I use them to board my girls when I go out of town because I know my dogs will get the best of care. I fell in love with their mission and started volunteering getting to see first hand how well cared for all of the animals are. I love that they offer the extra services to support their mission (saving more dogs)! I have since adopted from iWag and its a wonderful feeling knowing that they will continue to be there for me as long as I need them. You dont just adopt a dog; you are welcomed to the iWag family.
Above and beyond!! Adopt a dog here you won’t regret it I have had my baby now since mid-March and her house matters are superb as well as her general temperament and leash walking skills. I have had no accidents in my house. I even got a free month of pet health insurance which then rolled over and I got the enrollment period waived. They pay out 90% for all none pre-existing conditions. Adopt a dog here, all the other rescues are not as good as iWag; I went to others and they really don’t know their dogs behaviors or temperament but iWag does. Even my lab mate got a dog here and loves him. You won’t regret it!
We adopted a chocolate lab about 7 years old from their Temple location. We had recently lost our beloved yellow and black labs. We were impressed with the application process and their concern that we, especially as seniors, get the perfect dog for us and our lifestyle. Chuck, now Our Charlie, came to us completely trained, gentle, obedient and so loving and happy. We 3 make the happiest family as a result of the professionalism and care of iwag.
We rescued our little girl from i-wag a few months ago. We appreciated the thoughtfulness throughout the adoption process and the commitment to being a partner throughout our pups life from daycare, training, and boarding. Thanks!
Absolutely amazing. My wife and I have followed your work for a long time now and we are astounded by the love you all give to the animals you rescue. Keep up the good work
Best place to adopt. They train every dog with obedience for a better pet, take excellent care of them and know which would be a good match
I boarded my dog at iWag for two weeks and she did great. I was so pleased with their responsiveness regarding pick up and drop off, and the hands on approach they took with her. They seem to really care about animals, and I could tell that they gave my dog a lot of love and care while she was with them.
The adoption process was mad so easy by the staff at iWag. They were very friendly and got to know us before the adoption took place to ensure we had the right puppy. I have already given several recommendations to friends and I would encourge you to also check them out.Our puppy is doing so well in her new home. She is very popular with all the people, kids and other dogs that live on our block. In just 3 days we have taught her her new name which is Irie (Rastafarian for its all good), how to sit, stay and come when she is called.I am very happy with iWag. They were and will continue to be there for us when ever needed.Jake, Krissy and Irie
I have been following I-wag for years and have always wanted to adopt from them. They are a wonderful group who does amazing things. However, I came across a another rescue group that desperately needed a foster for a Great Dane. We took him in as a foster and ended up adopting him. When it came time to work on some training, I knew exactly who to call. I-wag accepted the challenge and did an amazing job working with our Dane and teaching me how to work with him. He is now the best behaved dog in our pack. Thank you I-wag!!!!
IWag has the best staff and the best dogs! Their senior dog center is amazing and their training programs are top notch. You cant go wrong with iWag!!
Wonderful rescue group! They put their hearts and souls in every dog! We adopted our little Oreo from them and he’s been such a joy! We were extremely pleased with the training he received before coming home with us, You will be so happy with any dog you adopt from them!
When you have to board your dog when you go on vacation, it makes you feel great when your dog is just as excited to go see his two legged and four legged friends at Iwag. Our dog Slick was trained there and loves, “to go to camp” whenever we go out of town. They are the absolute best!!! Support them!!!
IWag helped us find and adopt our amazing Dachshund, Annie. A great experience from start to finish. Thanks so much for your dedication and professionalism!
This is a wonderful rescue that cares so much about the doggies. They have so much heart and go above and beyond to make sure the doggies are well fed and have clean beds and blankets.
Please consider adopting from IWag! I recently adopted a puppy from IWag during the COVID-19 pandemic. The entire staff at IWag did an amazing job with transparent communication throughout the application and adoption process despite an increase in adoption applications. The staff was very thorough in contacting references and they even approved my adoption application at 11:45 PM on a Sunday, which in my opinion demonstrates IWag’s commitment to caring for dogs and finding them homes. The puppy waitlist during COVID was very logical and reasonable and I was very fortunate to get placed with my puppy immediately. I can tell IWag already started working with my puppy on training prior to adoption so I’m looking forward to continuing the training through their discounted training programs offered during the adoption. Thank you IWag for everything!
IWag is the BEST! Weve adopted 3 dog over the years with them. Kristy, Drew and the whole team care about putting the right dog in the right furever home. They always put the dogs first.
From puppies to seniors, their dogs are so well taken care of by a super loving staff. Our next dog will be from here... and we are in NJ! Kristie, Drew, Darien and all the staff keep all the dogs happy, healthy and feeling safe.
