I returned a car to the Pembroke Road location on Friday September 20, 2021 at approximately 10:00am. At 12:18pm the same day 2 hours and 18 minutes later I called back the to secure the transponder I left on the dashboard, however I immediately told they didn’t see it. I’m 100% sure I left it in the car since I used it to exit my job parking lot and proceeded to Hertz.

Put a notice on your app that you need a CREDIT card to rent with this company. If not youre wasting time and money. CREDIT CARD. They wont accept anything else.

THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE!!!! I tried to calling the 800 Hertz number to speak to an agent regarding some excessive charges and to try and extend my rental for 2 extra days but it’s an automated never-ending amount of options that will prevent you from ever reaching an actual human agent. Tried calling this local office were I got my car from and they never picked up the phone, they also close early even though they are supposed to be open until 5pm. The office is also tiny with a small lot of cars. When I made it in person, the local agent did not have a clue what Hertz was charging me and said to call the 800 number which I had already tried for over 1 hour. I returned my rental due to lack of service and no wanting to waste any more money and used Lyft and Uber instead. Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else.

They were not helpful at all. I had a reservation and they didn’t have the suv that I reserved and then tried to run my credit because I was paying with a debit card.

Nice place to rent an SUV this place never let me down I came to get a Chevrolet equinox unfortunately they didnt have have it available but instead they give me a 2019 Ford explorer annnnnnd no regrets I will come back again recommended 😃😃

The only cars left were SUV so now Hernan the mgr. Tried to change my rate!! 3 days later!!! Shame!!!

Great customer service.

Would not recommend using this company. The fact that they allow booking a rental car knowing they have none is insane. Upon arriving from a ride share the associate was nice but allowing us to walk 40 minutes and arrive only to be told they MAYBE will have a car by 2 is terrible customer service. If you have to use this company definitely call and talk with a person as their online system is obviously useless.

Excellent experience with Hertz, it was my first time there. Reserved a car for last Friday, only to be told that i was upgraded. SWEET!!!!. Went on my road trip, and had 0 issues with the car. But sadly i had to give it back. What really made me happy was the fact that i was suppose to be back the Monday afternoon, but since i was still far away i called and i was told (by the same rep who helped me out on Friday) that if i brought it back before 8:30 Tuesday morning no extra charge. Fine. I got there a little after 9 and was told there will be no extra charge. Also the $200 hold was removed quickly. I would def recommend Hertz to anyone, and i would def rent from them again in the near future. (Happy and Satisfied Customer).

Took 40 minutes to get through a line of 4 people. When I got to the desk, the clerk said I should be grateful that it did not take an hour. She then purposely moved so slowly to the point that it took another 20 minutes. I pleaded with her, telling her my two children needed me, but she only found humor in it. I will not rent from Hertz again.

Was handed a unwashed car with litter and an intoxicating scent of cigarette smoke. They also overestimated the amount of gas in the tank by an 1/8. Be aware and alert when dealing with this branch.

Disrespectful people in this location. Not helpful, Not customer centered. When you call or go they dont care about you or what you think. I called in and the man on the other end, was very rude, not helpful, and put me on a long hold. I asked for help and they were not even trying to help me, pick a diferent hertz or a diferent company

Completely unsatisfying experience. I was there waiting while the guy was helping the customer. For like 20 minutes. I thought he was the only one, but apparently there were more people in the office. The guy asked me at the beginning if I had a reservation and I said no. And he then was helping the other customer for that 20 mins. By the time he is back there were 3 more customers in line. When it was my turn, he asked me if I had a reservation. I said no AGAIN, and he said he cant help me. Horrible. Just horrible.

I always rent from Hertz, have done for 30 years and Im a gold member for 20 years.This facility is in what one might describe as a questionable neighborhood. The girl who checked me in was very combative, repeatedly ... until I told her Id had enough and defended myself. The guy tried to better the situation, which he did, so he redeemed this place. Car was new, with 3K miles, clean and well presented, but not a drop of water in the windshield washer. I seldom write reviews, good or bad.. but this girl here really made me feel uncomfortable.

Rented a mini-van for a cross-country trip. I had placed my reservation online and then called a week ahead and spoke to G.O. about specific models. He was great and picked out one that was perfect for my needs - luxury model that was really comfy, had plenty of room for everything, and even had XM radio. Since the office is small, we had a wait a long time to start the process, but then it was easy. Better than using the Ft. Lauderdale airport since they never answer their phone.

This is the first time in a while I rented a car not at an airport location. I found the process to be very very slow. Tons of questions and lots of waiting.Other than that. The car was clean. As well I was given a ride back to work after drop off.

Bety bad, the manager is a nice guy who just dont care about your experience. We rent a compact car and it came dirty. But disgusting dirty. When I asked him to change the car, he offered to clean this one, during my rental time. Hertz you were better than this.

Use to be my favorite but recently I wanted to rent a van for the holidays in Fort Lauderdale airport but prices went up 3 times. Around $1400 and up for a 10 days.

These people are scam artists. I rented a car and rejected the extra options they offered. The guy put them on anyway and had them add up to the same amount as the original rental price and told me I was just releasing the hold when I paid it. Ended up double charging me for the rental. Avoid at all costs.

Always a long wait and generally rude service. While I am waiting I am listening to an unbelievably unpleasant series of conversations with a variety of customers. Additionally, a limited and poor selection of vehicles.

I had a great experience at this location. They really treated me right and even gave me a lift to the repair shop.

The customer service was horrible. They tried to charge me for the rental when I was fully covered by the insurance carrier. They didnt know how to answer or give an explaining as to what each charge was. I wouldnt recommend this specific location to anyone.

Be very wary of renting from Hertz if the pick up location says Hollyood Amtrak. We got there and there was no car, no Hertz signs, no courtesy phone. 3 phone calls later we had to take a cab to the Hertz location at 2233 Pembroke Rd.

The worst place to deal with, zero customer service. Rented a car online, went to go pick the car at 1pm which was my pickup time, only to be told that they do not have any cars available for me and that I could be placed on a magical list and maybe would get a car in a couple days even though it was only a 3 day rental. Told me I was out of luck they cant do anything refused to find a solution to please me. Had to walk down the road to enterprise, they know how to treat a customer. After hearing about my frustrations with hertz they kindly helped me out. Gave me a extended cab pickup for the same price as the compact car just to earn my business. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR FAMILIES. THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU HAVE TO WALK MILES BACK TO YOUR JOB BECAUSE THEY RENTED YOUR CAR OUT TO SOMEONE ELSE. GO TO ENTERPRISE THEY WILL TREAT YOU RIGHT I WILL NEVER GO WITH HERTZ AGAIN. THEY DO NOT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR

Female Staff member was very rude and unprofessional, she gave me rented car that wasnt even washed, then siad the reason was because it was raining outside. The car had scratches and the female who help was very unprofessional she didnt even do an inspection on the vehicle with me at all. Very unprofessional.

I rented a car from miami airport and was not happy with the model car i got, plus they wantad to charge an outrageous fee for an additional driver, which shouldve been free because we are USAA members. So, as I passed this Pembroke Rd. location, we stopped in to get help. The manager was extremely nice, and was willing to give us a car in a higher class for the same price as our Cryhsler 200! At the end we got a 2016 Toyota Camry SE and the additional driver on the rental, ALL FOR THE SAME PRICE! I reccomend the location to anyone that appreciates a customer service that WANTS to help you, not just get your money.

I rented a car here a few months ago, and when recenlty tried to rent the same car the price they gave me was much higher.

Said there was a over night drop box. Its 1am raining gates are locked and no drop box. I should have used enterprise.
