I highly recommend visiting here if you love nature and kayaking!! The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the area and was accommodating to our large party. We did not do the tour this time, but we would do so in the future. Make a day of it and visit The Old Oyster Factory either before or after your trip, but be sure to make a reservation for both so that you arent disappointed. Excellent views, we saw a bald eagle, fish, and multiple sea birds. You are up close and personal with the beautiful marsh!

Great experience. Guide was knowledgeable and showed us as much as possible even though tide was low. Had two dolphins swim right beside my boat. You could hear them breathe. It was awesome.

We had a great time paddling the marsh with our knowledgeable guide. We are totally inexperienced and brought our toddler along. Grandma got a tow from our instructor due to the wind and current. We felt very safe and had fun! Highly recommend!

Awesome time kayaking. Went at low tide - water was calm and enjoyed being surrounded by nature. Saw dolphins, manatees, and tons of different types of birds.Highly recommend going to the attached Oyster Bar when you are finished kayaking.

We had 6 of us take single kayaks out for 2 hours. Dean was so nice. He was professional and informative. I highly recommend these guys. We had the best time. Saw severaldolphins & many cool birds. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Hilton Head.

Our tour with Jake this morning was amazing. We encountered a pod of playful dolphins and watched them for at least 30 minutes, and then went to look at beautiful pink spoonbills. Jake was very personable and informative. Overall a great experience!

We had an excellent Stand Up Paddle Board excursion with Saltmarsh Paddle Tours. They were professional, patient and very knowledgeable of the local birds, sea life and wetlands. Jake was our guide and he was outstanding! We saw a manatee, so many dolphin, shrimp, spoonbills, wood storks, osprey, pelicans and turtles!! It was a wonderful day!!I can’t wait to go again!!!

Excellent experience! We rented kayaks for two hours and were able to paddle down to Shelter Cove and back. Super nice people here, best prices, and hands down the best rental equipment I have ever used. Highly recommended!

We visited on May 8th. It was my wifes first time, and even though she was nervous, she had a wonderful experience. I flipped my kayak on the other hand, but our guide was extremely helpful and quick to resolve the issue. It was also fortunate that I am over 6 and can stand up in the water. Jake was a great guide and very informative about the area and nature. Sadly, we didnt get to see any dolphins this visit, but for 2 hours on the water and $30 per person was worth it.If Jake is your guide, you will have fun. Also, be honest during the training session. It is for your benefit and his.

Great spot for family kayaking! We took our boys on a double canoe and they were so quick in getting us out into the water. The guy working helped to show us what route to take and was very friendly! Kayaks are in great shape too! Definitely coming back here on our next vacation!

Fantastic tour today, Jake was super knowledgeable about the different birds and wildlife around the area which was really fun for us. On top of the awesome weather, we also got to see dolphins!

Jake was a great guide! He knew all the bird as well as various other facts about the area and such. The experience was 5/5 but the location lacked a little compared to other places we have kayaked around the south. Those were much more expensive though! So this is great value for the price!

Dean was very helpful in getting us going - telling us the best ways to go, what to look for, what to avoid. Got stuck on a sand/oyster bar on the way in, but that’s low tide for you. A great two hours kayaking adventure!

Saltmarsh Paddle Tours provided an outstanding kayak tour during our recent visit to Hilton Head Island. Dean, the owner, was incredibly helpful in getting our tour scheduled for a time that was optimal to see wildlife. Scott, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife. He engaged in great conversation with my 10 year old son about the wildlife we were seeing. We saw a plethora of birds, multiple dolphins, a manatee, a few sharks and we even had some shrimp jump in our kayak! This was by far the best wildlife kayak tour we have ever taken!

Had a great day today with my family. They were very helpful about where to go and things to see. We rented two double kayaks and were able to get some great photos. We saw six dolphins and were with four of them for over an hour. We also saw three manatees and all kinds of birds. We went out at the end of low tide and came back as the tide was coming in. It made it much easier to get in and out. I would recommend again and again!

Jake was our guide on the kayak tour. It was outstanding!!! Jake navigated us through the marsh and pointed out all the sights. We even saw some dolphins, blue herons, ospreys, and egrets. Very fun and enjoyable. Jake made sure everyone was doing alright and we never felt more safe! Thanks Jake!

We went kayaking one day and the next day came back to paddle board. Great place to see wildlife. Low tide was awesome! So many dolphins feeding and so many different kinds of birds feeding. Equipment was great and instructions were given to make sure we knew how things work and where we may have the beat luck finding wildlife. Will definitely go back.

This was a very clean and reasonably priced rental place. We went on the 2 hour kayak trip and it was awesome! The boats were clean and the staff was friendly. We saw a couple manatees up close and about 9 dolphins during our 2 hour boat ride! I would highly recommend stopping by here if you are in the area!

We had an amazing trip out. We got to see around 7 dolphins. We just stayed in one spot for about an hour and a half and they just keep coming up to us. It was amazing. Jake was a wonderful tour guide.

We absolutely loved this tour. While Tide levels offer different experiences, we happened to go out with Scott at low tide. Dolphins, manatees, many birds and a great view of oyster beds were an enjoyable way to see the landscape and ecosystem that makes Hilton Head a vibrant, diverse environment. It made us really appreciate how the people have lived here for generations and continue to schedule daily activities around the tide. The owner (Dean), has created a great company and values the patrons, especially during this time with COVID-19, and ensures safety by offering sanitizer before embarking on the trip and wipes kayaks and oars before/after every use. I can certainly appreciate that. Thanks!

I love this place! It was a great time, we had a dolphin a few yards away from our kayaks. Dean was accommodating and helpful, super great with the kids in our group. He answered all our questions with ease and the communication with him was prompt. The marsh is really peaceful with the birds and fish around. Its was a really good price and fun time for our family. I really cant rave more about a kayak experience.

My mom and I did a kayak tour and had a lot of fun. The location was easy to access and we were on the water within 15 minutes of our arrival. The staff was very kind and caring. I felt totally comfortable and prepared for the 2 hours on the water without a guide. We were shown a map of the waterway and felt comfortable asking as many questions as we needed until we knew exactly what to do. The kayaks were totally clean and ready for us. The guys working there were laid back and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a good time. My mom and I discussed how fun it would be to take our family and friends out there in the future. The prices are totally fair and make it even easier to want to book again. This is a great company and I can’t wait to support them again in the future! Thanks for an awesome experience 🤙🏼

Great experience!!! Easy enough route to do unguided, featuring tons of beautiful scenery and wildlife. We went out around 2:30pm and saw 10+ dolphins!!!! Highly recommend

The area was beautiful and fun to kayak, and the gentleman who set us up was very kind and knowledgeable. Location was easy to find as well. Would definitely recommend. 👍

Amazing morning kayaking. We saw lots of wildlife to include egrets, various marsh birds and dolphins. The dolphins were so close.😃 I can’t wait to go again. The owner was so nice and personable. Great experience and the time flew bye. We picked the perfect time to go, with nature you never know what you’ll see but we certainly lucked out.

We did a two hour kayaking tour. Dean (the owner) was waiting for us in the parking lot. Everything was ready and very organized. Our tour guide Gabriel was amazing, and we learned a lot about the eco system in Hilton Head from him. Highly recommended!

My family and I were looking for a modest way to see Hilton Heads beauty and purity. To say we accomplished our goal is an understatement. We set sail from the oyster covered shores, paddle in hand and life jacket strapped tightly. The salty breeze blowing our hair and the light calls from the local water fowl set the mood for a perfect day on the water. Dolphin were spotted feeding and a lonely manatee joined our kayak group. The low tide revealed the oyster beds, which made for a treat. Dean was a swell guy that catered to all of our wishes. Would definitely recommend!

This might well be one of Hilton Heads best kept secrets. No nonsense, down to earth approach to water activities. Just get out there and enjoy nature: water, shrimps, birds, oyster beds, dolphins. Pure and simple fun! And listen to Dean, he knows what he is talking about!

We had a nice morning kayaking and our guide was great. He is very knowledgeable of all of our surroundings and all of the wildlife we encountered. We only saw one dolphin the morning we were out but we did see some manatees up close which was great.

Very dangerous!!! There are many massive spike oysters and sharp rocks that arent deep in the water. My son cut open his foot, a deep cut on his knee and hands. G-D forbid much worse could have happened if he fell in head first.

Absolutley tremendous guided kayaking through the salt marsh. Took my family of 4 out with Pat as our guide and had an amazing time. Our guide was extremely knowledgable about everything in this amazing ecosystem and went out of his way to make our experience too notch, even got to see dolphins. We did a kayaking tour during low tide. We saw a couple of dophines, manatees, a whole bunch of fish, shirmp, and birds. It was absolutely amazing! Dont expect to see manatees all the time though, we were pretty lucky to encounter one. :))
