Such good service! Kind people that are willing to help whenever you need it! We had a group of six and they fitted us all in a short amount of time. And later in the week when we had a pedal fall off, they kindly gave us a different bike. Highly recommended!

Awesome bike rental shop and they have surfboards too highly recommend

About a week ago, I had a day off and earmarked it especially to ride my bike to Coligny Circle and to check out all the shops at Coligny Plaza. We moved here three years ago and I have never spent more than a few minutes at the Plaza, so I wanted to explore it in more detail. I locked my bike to the bike stand near the Frosty Frog and went about my exploration. When I came back to the rack after a couple of hours, I could not open the bike lock. I spent about 15 minutes trying every way I could think of to open it: banging it, changing position of the key, changing amount of leverage applied - nothing worked.I then remembered that Sharkys was just next door and I thought they might know how to get the lock open. Captain Dave greeted me at the door and he couldnt have been more friendly. He thought about my predicament for a few minutes and then he offered to wipe some oil on the key with a small brush, He also gave me a paper towel to capture any stray oil. I went back to the bike with the now-oily key, inserted it into the lock, moved it around a few times and - drum roll please - it opened!! Thats all it took!We always rented from Sharkys on vacations here before we built a home. The rental bikes were always in good shape and very reasonably priced. Its nice to see that the great customer service we experienced then is still alive and well. Thanks again Captain Dave - you saved the day!!

We originally rented a bike from a different place- turned out to have two popped tires. We rolled into sharkeys they not only helped us with the other bike but then rented us a new one when we really needed it! They were helpful with maps and were great to work with. It seemed like they really knew what they were talking about!

Rude OwnerWe rented 4 bikes from a young employee at the store on our last day at HH and enjoyed riding them on the beach. When we returned them, we were met by what I can only assume is the owner who literally started yelling at us because the bikes had excessive sand on them !! He said we should have hosed them down before we returned them (as if tourists like us have access to a faucet and a hose on demand) and next time he will charge is an extra $25.We have news for him, there will be no next time, we will take our business where they appreciate it more.Go somewhere else, there are plenty of other options on the island.

Rented in off season. He gave us tips on how to get to an area that doesnt seem to be readily accessible and we had a great time.

Chuck, one of the owners, was super friendly and gave great advice of places to cruise to while biking. Their rates are lower than others. The bikes themselves held up well as we biked from Coligny to South Beach. No issues whatsoever. Will be returning for sure!

I got lucky and decided to stop by on my way back to my condo and found this place. Chuck took great care of me, extremely nice guy! Thanks again, Chuck! You’re the man! If you’re in the area and you need to rent a bike or board, Sharkys is where you wanna go. Ask for Chuck or Kent, they’ll take good care of you. Right next to the BP gas station.

If you rent for the day, it’s not a 24 hour rental, so be sure to just rent for 4 hours if you’re there late. Other places have higher bike quality as well. My wife’s seat kept falling and handle bars were worn. Chains were rusty. Staff gave me a refund for the 4 hours, but could have kept my money for more time.

The guys at Sharkys are the best! I am a year round resident of HHI. I live on the south end and ride my Goodwill Special bicycle all around. The seat adjuster on my bike has always been missing and Ive been contending with a swiveling, un-adjustable seat. Today my boyfriend and I swung by Sharkys to see if they happened to have the part. They couldnt have been nicer. They chatted lightheartedly with me about my special bike, gave me a part that cost me nothing as they were not able to use it, added the part, tightened the chain on both my bicycle and my boyfriends bicycle, and inflated all 4 tires. There are several bicycle rental shops on the island to choose from, I recommend Sharkys because they were good, kind, helpful people.

Great shop, and great people. Very friendly and helpful. If you are on the south end, Sharkys is the place to go.

My brother and I were having trouble with our bikes all day and, when we pulled into the gas station next door to get waters, Chuck fixed our bikes out of the goodness of his heart! It made mine and my brother’s day and let us get home safely!

Biked almost 10 total miles and was one of the best things i’ve ever done

We walked in off the street and were peddling within minutes. Just a simple bike, which is all you need for hilton head. Friendly staff too.
