At first everything was fine. It became more and more difficult to get ahold of them about problems with the house. However, once it was time to move that’s when things hit the fan. It was suggested we have someone come look through the house to tell us what needed to be done, my wife said “no, because she doesn’t like having people in her house” we were then told it will help streamline the process and get someone else in quicker so she changed her mind well apparently 10 minutes is to long to change your mind and we were told no they won’t have someone look at the house now. On our part we had told them we would be done moving out by a 3:00 on a Tuesday, we had not quite finished up we had some cleaning to do and a few more things to get out. Our realtor Misty showed up to do the walk through (with people to show the house to, she didn’t tell us she was bringing anyone else by) like I said we weren’t finished yet, she said we had until 5 to finish and lock up and that she’d come back another day to walk through. The whole interaction she was very rude especially to my wife who had just had a baby two weeks earlier. We asked a couple of our friends to come over and help us finish cleaning out the house, we all worked together and got it done minus a fresh coat of paint a couple cracked blinds and some wood left in the laundry room. However, Misty never showed up again to do another walk through, instead she assumed we left it how it was and used pictures she took on the initial walk through to say that’s how we left it. She refused to hear from our wittinesses (the people that helped finish) she continued to be rude and unprofessional, and could not say for certain that we didn’t finish because she never went back like she said she would. Instead she kept an entire $500 deposit on top of the 300 dollar pet deposit (which was supposed to go towards anything the pets messed up and non refundable anyways). When we tried to get in contact with her she was very rude and told us there was no way we could have finished in two hours and that she hasn’t gone back because she knew we couldn’t do it. The way we left it there was maybe 100 dollars worth of work to do (run a mop, paint a few spots where we had pictures, you know the basics) but instead they decided it was actually an 800 dollar job and kept everything. Misty was a difficult property manager to deal with the entire time we were there, poor professionalism, poor customer service, poor communication, all around disrespectful.
After dealing with rude interactions with the secretaries and the realtor for the property, I still signed a lease for a house due to being in town for school. The day I moved in the house looked as if it wasn’t touched since the last tenants moved out. There was dirt and dust everywhere, unpainted and uneven spackled spots all over the place, broken vents and opened paint cans laying around in the kitchen, and trash all in the backyard. Along with those problems the laundry room had a giant pile of trash and lint in the corner, the dryer lint trap had a three inch thick wad of lent in it and the inside of the washer was filled with dust, hair, and buildup from the previous tenants. The house was disgusting and took a week to clean while also moving in. I also was very concerned about the area and it’s safety due to living alone and was told by the realtor that nothing happens... my neighbor told me about the two times he walked onto someone breaking into his truck, a bike was stolen off the property I rented, and I caught a guy looking in a window of the house at 1am. When I brought up issues like this I was rudely dismissed. Another issue was the lack of care or consideration when the heater stopped working. Yes, it was a very old house, but after 160 days without heat and then only given “FYI I’m working on it” messages with no help or anything, when it’s 12 degrees outside, doesn’t really give off a positive attitude. Overall, my time dealing with Remax was an absolute nightmare. Until the professionalism and social skills are fixed, I don’t recommend renting through them.
Awesome realtors! We had a great experience buying our home!
Too bad there is not a zero star option. Most horrible experience ever! If you are looking to get lied to, buy a house from Remax! They will tell you anything to sell a house, lie to you about how they are going to help you once you threaten legal action, then still never follow through! The so called big wig has also been contacted about the issues. No help. No nothing, but a bunch of false truths to satisfy you for the moment. Save yourself the hassle and find a professional real estate company to work with !
Could not be happier!
They were ok service
I would give 0 stars if possible. A few realtors working with this company are very unprofessional and not helpful at all.
Thank you for a great rental! We loved our rental so much we bought it!
I paid this company to manage a property for my husband and me since we live in another state. Over the course of several years, I asked repeatedly for it to be inspected, since a friend had taken photos of its condition. It never happened until the tenant vacated and then, only because the new property manager (Becca) was honest with me about its condition. Becca was the single positive part of this experience. It took us a trip to MS, a week of hard labor and over $6000 to clean and make repairs just so that we might be able to sell this little house. I was a fool to trust David Saulters and regret it bitterly. He is now billing me for the fees associated with his companys failure to pay the utility bills on time. Will this nightmare never end? Good luck to you, friend.ADDENDUM: I received a call from David Saulters, apologizing for the poor performance. He later sent a check, refunding the entire utility bill & fees invoice; that seemed to be by way of expressing his sincerity. Also, he included a brief note of apology, which I thought was a classy thing to do. I do believe he was sincere and that there is potential for him to clean up operations in his shop. As anywhere, use your own judgment in determining whether to do business.
