I have had no problems with BioShield until today. Today, the customer service representative hung up on me without resolving my issue. This person should not be allowed to answer the phones. Customer service by the phone is the face of the company. Their actions and attitudes will serve as a key indicator on how well the company will provide their services. I am no longer happy with BioShield services and will replace them as soon as possible.
I am HIGHLY disappointed in the way this company handled my situation. We have been using this company since March 2021. We have had no issues until today. We signed a contract for bi-monthly treatments, the tech we signed with SPECIFCALLY mentioned the treatment targets water bugs along with a bunch of other insects. We were told if we saw more than an occasional pest to call and we will get a complimentary re treat. I called yesterday because we have noticed multiple water bugs in our home over the past week. They said they could have someone come out this morning 9/1 between 8am-12pm. I called at 11 am and asked for an ETA because I had to leave work to meet them and let them in my home. I was informed that the tech was in Norfolk and would make it to my home in Portsmouth. The lady I spoke with ( whos name I can not remember) said she wasnt sure about what time he would make it because we set the schedules, it is up to the techs to make it on time. I asked if she could call the tech and verify because I have to leave work. I was put on hold and then when she picked up the line she said that she had to cancel my appointment because the tech called in sick. If the tech called in sick I should have been notified a lot sooner than an hour before my given time frame was over. I should have never had to call to find out my appointment was cancelled. When someone calls in sick it is the companys responsibility to call the customer and notify them. I asked if someone else could make it out today ( since we are leaving town tomorrow morning) she told me no one could make it today because they do not do same day appointments... I dont think my appointment qualifies as a same day appointment. Nothing was handled. I then received an e-mail and text message cancelling my appointment AFTER hanging up. Get a better person to answer the phone because this person had no professionalism and clearly did not try to fix the issue.

The salesman was a little vague about the total charges, but the charges turned out OK. The technicians who serviced my property (3 services) were very good, quick, & thorough. They consulted with my wife & me before they left to make sure they had done all the treatment we expected. The treatments are effective, too. We have had no trouble with changing our scheduled times by a day or two. We are pleased with this company, BioShield of Northern Virginia.
To get the best deal, we paid in full when we signed up. I received an email receipt to confirm and several days later received three separate charges which they explained after I called to inquire. The first two times they provided service (April & May), the charged me AGAIN for each treatment. I had to call multiple times each month to have the new charges reversed. Then they finally seemed to get it right and didnt charge me for the service in June. When provided service at the end of July, there was another charge on my card for the service. Ive tried calling and leaving a message but havent been able to get anyone on the phone.
I have been using BioShield for 2 years and I am thrilled. I no longer have roaches sneeking inmy house or spiders. Fleas are gone I dont have itchy miserable pups anymore. Ants are also gone. I am recommending BioShield as the best Pest control compoany I have ever used!

Lets say we answered our door by mistake, the worst sale pitch I ever heard. Talked to my neighbors, spoke to my neighbors. Did your neighbors tell you I was stopping by? First of all my neighbors and I know services who come to our residence. My neighbors know if I have lawn care, receive groceries, milk, we have pest or rodents problems for damn sure seen vehicles parked in front of our home. Here is why someone has my business. We saw your company working next door. Our neighbor Paul referred your company. I looked your company up and read some reviews and researched the service you offer. Look up the company80,200,000 results. The salesperson did not look like someone who was offering roach, ant, or wasp service. The salesperson kept referring to our neighbors. When I let the salesperson know about my neighbors. My neighbors became neighbors further down the street and I have seen BIO SHIELD in the neighborhood. 20 years honestly NO! My neighbors and I have shared information and referred businesses. We do not do door to door or my neighbor down the street. The salesperson stuck to talking about neighbors. The ten minutes I debated with about my neighbors. I had to asked what service do you represent. Bio Shield with no other words or pictures appears to me as a cleaning product or UV plastic shield that he wanted to installed on my roof to prevent direct sunshine. Then I thought possible BIO SHIELD to prevent aliens from taken me away when I sleep at night. Bio Shield prevents people like my neighbors from stealing my WIFI service. My last thought of BIO SHIELD was chemicals put on my roof to keep my house cooler. So, 20 minutes the salesperson never really explained or demonstrated what the company offered then talking to my neighbors. No, literature, no details where the company address or areas of service. The salesperson mentions my neighbors and our neighborhood. I lived here 20 years, our neighbors do not pass on the door-to-door salesman. My point is to be upfront about why you like my attention. My business is with you, not my neighbors. Maybe if I like your service, let me tell my neighbor and give me the discount for helping your business. When I do tell you, we have service with another company. Do yourself a favor and offer if we change our minds to please look us up or contact us.
The company is extremely organized, and I’ve gotten to see that through being a close, personal friend with one of the employees there; Dylan Peterson.I can personally attest to the quality of Dylan’s work. He puts forth effort, time, and himself into whatever he works on. Hands down one of the funniest and most genuine people I know.A big thanks to both BioShield Pest Control and Dylan Peterson.
The BioShield technician arrived as scheduled to perform the standard service. He inquired about any particular areas of concern and addressedthose areas while explaining minor changes in the composition of the product being used. While completing the outside service he pointed out a growing hornet nest near the garage door and coordinated with me to ensure my safety and that doors were closed before treatment.The new BioShield website is a major improvement in ease of customer communication. We plan to continue BioShield as our pest control agent.
Sprayed for numerous bug species and since I’ve seen the same number if Not more insects. Called to canceled/receive a refund and the lady told me I couldn’t receive a refund because I’ve only had one visit. Said i could continue with the services to see if the issue could be fixed from more treatments but i didn’t feel comfortable spending another 130 for a service that already failed my satisfaction. Also beware this is a “cancellation” fee
Worst business & customer service!! Twice my husband made appointments for a crawl space inspection and twice they never showed.The company obviously does not know how to run a business, they lack common sense, have no regard for appointments made and the customers time when they have to sit and wait for them to never show up. The company has no clue where their workers are, the manager makes excuses when asked logical common sense questions about their workers. Fair warning, steer clear of this company until they get their business running like a legitimate company, if that ever happens!
BEWARE!!! The guy that sold us the service impressed my husband so much he signed up for the whole package- inside & outside spray for every creature, once a month. They came only ONCE & continued to charge us for the next 3 months. We can’t get them on the phone, have never heard from them again to schedule a visit or anything. They are actively STEALING OUR MONEY!!!
The 5 stars are mostly for Abby she came to our door one eveing and she was very professional and knowledgeable of the product and services she was selling . She was very pleasent to talk to and she did a great job. If the product works as well as Abby we will be very happy. Keep up the great work Abby you are awesome!!! We just had our first treatment and Clay did a great job . So far so good . We have not seen any bugs yet and I walked around the yard and no mosquitoes!!!

DO NOT LET THE YOUNG GUY TRICK YOU! The guy was a good salesman, but to be honest, the customer service in this company needs a lot of training! The guy who came to my house had an attitude like whatever and when I called to schedule a service, I was told the person in my area was going to call me back to schedule it... an hour and a half past and nobody called me! I had to pay a $200 fee to cancel their services. I had Evergreen Pest, they were 10000 TIMES MUCH BETTER! Im going back with them again!
Bio shield is a great service. I appreciate SO MUCH that they check for wasp/hornets along all the eves and even places I would have never checked myself. I’ve never had any problems with them and I would highly recommend them! I also think it’s great to hire college students to work for the summer!
A guy knocked on my door selling this service I told him that I didn’t want their service but he insisted and insisted that I told him I was going to give a chance but if they did not get rid of the mosquitoes I would want my money back. He said that the service was guaranteed that if the mosquitoes were not gone with the first treatment they would come back and retreat the property. The first treatment didn’t work so I called them so they could a second treatment. The person I spoke to said to give it some time for the treatment to work so I did that but no results so I called back asking for my money back and they said because it was a week and half for the next treatment they would not come to retreat unless I paid them for another treatment.They also told that mosquitoes were coming from the neighbors yard which makes no sense, also they told that it was because it had been raining. I told them that they should know and they should had told me. They canceled my account and didn’t give a refund. Their treatment does not work.
Jabril was our tech and he did a great job. We discovered a problem with bald faced hornets and Scada killers finding sap from a tree much to their liking. chemicals applied helped eliminate them temporarily. Unfortunately their nests were not on our property so little could be done about those. We were given some ideas to try and rid them from the site permanently and we will be trying those. I have always found the techs and their work to be professional and timely.
I wish I had heard about Biosheild years ago!! They were able to help me with my ant and wasp issues. I love how caring and willing to help they are. I referred all my neighbors to them and we are all so happy that our kids can play safely together in the yard.
Do not to get the BioShild Pest Control. Few weeks ago one of the representatives of this company came and said a lot of good things about the company. But after i get their service I have more bugs in my home then before. I called them and they send me a guy to do the services again but they charge me $119 again. When i called for services after less then a month they did not told me that they will charge me again. I am so disappointed with this company services. I hope i could give them 0 stare but i have no option.
Matthew was knowledgeable and polite. I knew they had not been in the neighborhood before, but with the manner in which he conversed was much better than a hard sell.When Colton arrived today, he was polite, nice, and relayed his abilities today.My only complaint is out serviced equipment. The nozzle on his sprayer clogged multiple times and the cannister looked like it had been used for paint at one time. Other than that, it was an excellent service visit.

The sales guy sold the world but every other part of the process was Terrible. After my experienceAnd my neighbors I’m sure these positive reviews are fake. Just try to get in contact with them, it’s impossible. Techs didn’t do most of the “service.” Charged me to come out and did nothing, probably because my wife was home so I wasn’t there to make sure he did what he said he was going to…. I’ve never heard of a company that can inspect a crawl space without ever going in. If you can even get in contact with a person from the “office” you will get a women with a terrible attitude. The “management” is even worse. If you sign with these people you will end up paying a lot for nothing…. Then pay a lot more to cancel. They seem to have a good scam going….. beware!
Twice I was charged when they didnt show up. Even after I cancelled I had to call to cancel again and get a refund for the service I never received. The lady on the phone was very understanding and helpful though.
Amazing service! they got rid of all of my ants and roaches!! they are really big here in my area. Also the reps and technicians are all so nice and customer friendly. Will be renewing my agreement in June! I would recommend this company to anyone!
A door to door salesman offered a great deal for what sounded like a good value. I agreed to give them a try. I signed up on the companies iPad and was told they would send me my account info and contract electronically, expected an email or text with a copy of the contract and all the account info and terms and conditions. It has been more than 60 days and I have not received any information to include; contract, account info, Terms and Conditions, warranty etc. nothing in email or snail mail. I did receive automated texts (2) letting me know when they would come and spray the exterior of my home and yard. I tried calling their customer service number more than 10 times over the course of 30 days. No one answers their phone, you get put on hold for more than 10 minutes and give up, or if you call after hours you get the voicemail and can leave a message. I emailed customer service and am still waiting for a reply. I have left numerous voice mails asking for a call back with my account number. I cant go online and pay my bill without the account number.This company is pathetic, a complete rip off. Borders on being a scam. What ever treatment they are applying to my homes exterior and yard is worthless, the bug populations has not gone down, if anything it is worse. two treatments and almost 90 days later and now I am hiring another company to come in and correct the problem. I wouldnt be surprised if they dilute their spray solution and it is completely ineffective.Do not just avoid this company... run from this company. I will update my review if I ever hear from anyone and resolve this.
Ive had great experience with Bioshield! The technician (Carlos Bailon) is very professional and kind. He was able to do the Terminate Inspection on my house very quickly. Glad to be working with and supporting a local company!
The salesman came to our door and made an offer hard to refuse explaining to us that it was a month to month agreement and we can cancel at any time to have our yard sprayed for mosquitoes and bugs. Our first few months went by and we didn’t notice much of a difference with mosquitoes but we did notice less spiders. So we decided to cancel and my husband called and the lady said we were locked in until March of this year and we had to continue our services until then. He explained as soon as the contract is over we wanted to cancel and the lady agreed to put that in the notes. Every single time they came by to spray they were rude and looked like they hated their job. Today they came by unbeknownst to us and decided to spray the front yard without warning and didn’t even spray the backyard because it wasn’t accessible. But the charges are definitely there for the full price. If you are looking for a pest control service definitely look elsewhere.

We paid up front for a year. They got rid of the major issue however it took alot of extra phone calls and lots of rescheduling visits. I understand that folks get busy but your customers should not be responsible for scheduling their own services. That should be taken care of by the company. James the technician was great and friendly. If not for him we wouldve been left to take care of our problem ourselves. We did end up canceling the service 6 months in and to his credit the manager completely understood and refunded the remainder of my money back to me without hesitation.
This company has been great I’ve used them for several years and they are always on time and they always do what they say. Things changed During Covid. This year specifically a lot of technicians have been out because of Covid. They have skipped some service but I’ll never get mad at them for that. I’ve had Covid as well and I understand how hard it is to deal with your workers getting Covid as I own a business and had four workers out at one time. It Disrupted my business but luckily my customers understood and didn’t get mad like the people on here that are leaving bad reviews. The company cannot help it if their people get sick. People should be happy they’re not sending Covid positive people to your house. Jabril arrived at my house today wearing a mask and staying well over 6 feet away from me. He apologized for not being there last month and explained that they’ve been having problems with Covid. It’s a pandemic people don’t get mad at the company get mad at your own self and friends for not protecting each other. I will always recommend this company. Those who are worried about online billing should get over it because I have many friends who use this company now and have never had a problem. EVER.
They roamed door to door trying to get people to sign up in our neighborhood. The rep who came to our door read our please do not ring our doorbell or knock sign and then literaly lifted a note saying the same thing off of the doorbell in order to ring it anyways. We know because we watched it happen on our ring doorbell cam. They are there for a reason. Thanks for waking up our baby.

Bioshield door to door solicitors dont read no soliciting signs. It means dont knock on my door. I dont care if my neighbor on Chippewa has wasps.
Contracted with BIoShield to replace ALL of our crawlspace vapor barrier last summer. Unfortunately, they installed the new barrier only in the areas visible from the crawlspace door. They came back only after I refused to pay. They also installed a new dehumidifier that their pest control technicians are apparently unable or unwilling to check for proper function and filter changing. Finally, they should have already contacted me about the annual crawlspace termite inspection. Yet their sprayer tech just left not saying a word about it. Feeling a sense of deja vu as our previous pest control company (Southern Pest Control) forgot to accomplish the inspection in 2019, then wanted approx $1,000 to accomplish the inspection and to renew the termite damage warranty. At least Southern dangled a warranty which BIoShield does not. These two companies appear to be two of the larger cockroaches in the pest control business.

This company continually bills my credit card for an account that I closed and MOVED AWAY FROM 6 months ago. They claim that they have stopped service, yet they have now billed my account $99.00 twice.The first time this happened, I called and asked about it. They reversed the charges and assured me that it would not happen again.Today, May 3rd, I was billed another $99.00. I have been attempting to contact their offices with no response.I will now be disputing the charges with my credit card company, but without changing my entire card number, I am really at a loss of what to do.

Im very disappoint in this company. I was lied too and mislead. If the spray technician come to your house and tell you to cancel your contract and sue the company for misleading information how would you feel. The technician also wrote on the service ticket These children lied to customer told them that we can keep the bees and wasps away from there home.
I do not like to deal with solicitors. Period. And when they say my “neighbor down the street” I totally shut down or I will call them out. A maskless young lady with a Bioshield shirt showed up at my door asking me questions about pest control. I shut her down quickly because I don’t respond to solicitors and she used the “neighbor down the street” schtick.Having said that - I worry for this young lady going door to door by herself. I hope this company has protocols in place to protect their salespeople. I love and trust my immediate neighbors 100%. Beyond that, I can’t say.
I would not recommend this company nor its other affiliate BioGuard, which I believe they are the same. Feels like a scam. Ive had this service for over a year and they have been to my house twice. The initial service which was great and once when I called multiple times and finally got through to someone which made the pest situation worst. Their ant products and others do nothing but attract more pests claiming that they will die down over time but dont. They claim that they come out often to spray and check the termite traps but never did over a year span. I still have an ant problem and use other products to get rid of and control. I have been trying to contact them to terminate the contract but continuously get sent to a voicemail no matter the time or the day (I have left my name and number). They do not stick to any schedule nor uphold to their own agreements other than taking your money ($120 every 3 months). I say again, I would not recommend this company nor its other affiliate BioGuard, which I believe they are the same.

Had a random person knock on the door saying he was a route manager for bioshield. Offered to have the house treated for a ridiculously low price (since they were already in the area). Asked for a business card and he did no have one. Just got weird vibes from it and reading several of the reviews Im thankful i didnt sign up.
They no showed me 3x over a 2 week period after 2.5 yrs of service with them. And now we are so done! Find a different company. Any company would do!

I signed up to have a treatment done, appointment was for the afternoon but the tech showed up in the morning. I didnt answer the door because they were early and they were supposed to treat the outside even if i wasnt here. Evan sykes the tech got back in his vehicle and drove away. A few minutes later i get a email saying he completed services and charged me $99. I called the office just to confirm what services were done and she confirmed he did the outside. Long story short is they didnt do anything at my house and tried to charge me for it anyways. Bioshield is a company of liars apparently. Dont trust them, call someone else.

The overall concept of this company is great. They even have a number you can text to make the communication a lot easier than having to call. Unfortunately, I have not had a great experience with this company. The initial representative that came to our house was friendly and had a fantastic pitch. After the initial service, I realized we did not get the services that we were promised. I ended up speaking to the technician about why we did not get the services that we were promised. He explained that the sales representatives are college kids that get a summer job and get as many people as they can to sign up by over-promising the companies services. He explained that it was frustrating for the technicians that they were making unrealistic promises to all of these customers, not realizing that the technicians do not have the time or manpower to deliver the services that were promised. I was told that I would have my full yard granulated and the tech explained to me that the full yard is something they do not do and they only do 3 feet out from the house. He also explained that they dont normally spray for mosquitoes when thats the main reason we signed up for the services. The company also does not coordinate when time they are going to come by so there is really no point in paying to have the inside of your house treated if you dont work from home as you will most likely be at work or leaving for work when they come to the house. We had to reschedule multiple times last month, one time being due to the technician not bringing enough product to treat our yard... why even show up in the first place? So we didnt get serviced for the month of August. This morning they showed up and they didnt mention anything about treating for mosquitoes and the technician proceeded to say that the mosquitoes are a separate service. I told him that the mosquitoes are the main reason why we signed up for their services and it is in our contract to get serviced for it. If i never brought up the fact that I wanted treated for mosquitoes, he never would have sprayed and im not sure that he actually did. Overall, there is a huge miscommunication between the companies sales department and the actual technicians that come out. Unfortunately, we are signed up for an entire year and we will just have to make the effort to re-schedule when they do not treat our yard up to standard. This review is not to knock the company because the concept is great but to provide additional information to those who are considering signing up for their services.

Their salesperson came to my house to try to get me to use their service. I told them that I already have a pest control company, and he continue to insist. He told me told me that they have a great discount for Pest service $60 initial visit then $109 for any additional visit. I asked him if I want to stop the services after the initial or second service for any reason; He respond by assuring that I can stop the service anytime I want to without any penalty or consequence. He never mentioned any penalty or additional fee. I signed with them. their representative misleading me in believing that I can terminate service anytime. I would never sign any agreement that have penalty. I trusted their salesperson. I called to company and spoke to their manager to waive the Penalty which is $200... They did not cooperate at all and keep send me the bill with additional late fee charges. I DO NOT recommend this company because they are not HONEST. I hope they stop harassing me by sending their bills. I highly would not recommend this company.

The 1st gentleman we had come out for the company showed me what he did and how they treated for different pest. We noticed wood bees crawling under the trim and paid a separate amount to treat for these bees and noticed they stopped coming around the bushes around the porch. Their name changed, our guy stopped coming and we noticed spiders in the yard, wood bees around the porch & yard so we decided to get a new company that does not charge extra for the wood bees.

They are thieves. They signed me up for services I did not request and didn’t include the services I did want. Then they lied about their charges and over charged me over $500If you don’t have to stay away from them.
Third pest control company to come walking down my street going door-to-door in the last month. Tired of the neighbor down the street sales tactics used by them all. I dont like being approached in my own front yard by pushy sales people.

My account was canceled, I sent a letter and email, I can send you acopy of it if you need. Do to covet we are sick, jobless and living on SSI,and no I havent received a Stim check. If I do I hope, I will pay our rentand buy food. Sorry as explained we cant afford your service, that was explained in the letter. I sent it in plenty of time so you would not be out of product.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY/ Bioshield Pest Control. There is a company called Bioshield Pest Control soliciting door to door around our area, without masks, that is an absolute scam. Google reviews confirm everything that happened to me. They claim that they are a local company they are not! They send college students out door to door sell you on a service that they do not provide, then charge you continuously for services they do not honor. Then when you try to cancel they charge you 100$. Then they send you to a collection agency. This company is completely a scam! I want everyone to know so this does not happen to you. I am turning this bogus contract they have you sign with four typos in it to my lawyer.
I wish I would have seen the reviews first. Customer service (the person who answers the phone) is very rude and will not have a supervisor contact me. I only received my initial service with them as a new customer which includes a touch up sevice 30 days after (included). They charged me $99 extra dollars for the 30 day follow up. I have a bill for $206.50 for 1 treatment because they said I canceled my contract and charged me $100.00. Still no response from management just the lady that answers the phone which is one person so Im assuming this is a mom and pop shop which is okay but no customer service or know how to resolve the issue.I should have stayed with Frontline Pest. They aim to please and never had a issue that didnt get resolved appropriately. I hope this 200.00 is worth it.I would hope a supervisor calls me back or email me as promised so we can get this issue resolved. The gentleman came to my home for a third visit my husband turned him away. He agreed and said the lady scheduled him to come out and he didnt know why as my 2nd service was cmpleted already. I was charged for ths trip.Dont use them!
