Last minutes reservation (10 min to close) and she (sorry no name) was very helpful and stayed until we arrived. Took hubby around in golf cart so he could decide where he could park easiest as we have a Class A. It’s pretty, quiet, right on Hwy 46 so very convenient. Rules are clearly posted - will stop here again!!

We have stayed here for a week so far. We will be here for awhile due to my husbands job. They are really doing some great updates to the park. Including paved roads. A lot of the camp spots have fire pits. I feel very safe here. There’s even a cop that drives thru the park at nights to make sure all is well. It’s very quiet. The owner has strict rules for the park to stay well managed. Very strict about speed limit thru park because there’s kids that ride their bikes. Manager has been very helpful and friendly to our family. A lot of reviews on here say she’s not nice but I think she just runs a tight shift to have a well managed clean park. She’s been nothing but nice and helpful to us. Appreciate how they are strict about campers not having trash laying around etc. we are pretty pleased so far. A lot of camp grounds we have stayed at before with our 5th wheel we have had problems with gnats and so far here we don’t have that problem

The Manger was nice and good at what she does good place to stay they have reasonable pricing very quite and in a good spot you thing you can think its within six to 8 miles from you well done shady cove crew

I do not recommend this place to anyone. The lady there was very unprofessional and rude first she wouldnt let me have my dogs loose outside so I put up a running line then she got mad about it and called me several times while at work saying to remove it that very instant, she kept bugging me and my brother for every little thing it was so bad it got to the point where me and my brother decided to move and he was only there for one week he couldnt get a refund for the 400$ rent he paid.

We stayed here for 5 months for work. The place is clean and well kept. The manager is straight up business and has a zero tolerance for any riff raff or bull, very professional. She seemed to genuinely care about her job and the safety of all guests. The speed limit is strictly enforced, as well as the curfew. I felt safe to get out and walk around the campground with my two year old. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, safe environment.

I moved here from perk beach. This rv park is clean and quiet. The property manager is strict but nice. No one bothers anyone. Its also very clean. I like it here better than perk Beach

I just called to get information about the place and she asked when would I be ready to move. I explained that it was for my son so I need a little information! She replied, “ we are closed and I can answer questions Monday”! Since it wasn’t immediately so she could make money she no longer wanted to talk!!! I told her never mind cause your rude!!!! If you couldn’t answer questions and supposedly closed why would you ask questions!!!

Be advised this RV park is first come, first serve. They do not take reservations for RV spaces.

Ive been staying here a little over a year now and ive loved every minute of it. Its very peaceful, and the people around the park are very nice. Theres a big pond in the back where you can fish, very peaceful. The park managers have always taken care of any problems/needs I have had without hesitation, they can be strict but its only to run a good park. I dont think ill be leaving for a while. :))

Rules change here almost daily. I lived here for almost 5 years moved and wanted to come back and I paid my rent on time every month . the best excuse she could find for allowing me back in the park is my camper is 2 old due to the owner changing the rules whatever. I wont ever give them another dime! Ever

We have used this park as our go to for our annual trip to Tennessee. Nice park with convenient pull thrus for our overnight stay. Cash only though, so make sure you bring cash. We havent had any issues with this park. You just put your money in a envelope in the drop box, and we pull out early the next morning.

“Cabins” are horrible, dirty and have soft floors. At least the one we stayed in was. My husband works out of state and we stayed in this cabin for one month as they allowed dogs. $700 monthly, $300 deposit and $100 non refundable pet deposit. We only received $100 in the mail for a refund after we did the walk thru at check out and we told we would get the full $300 back. I can guarantee you this place was more clean when I left than when I arrived. We also had to put our own lightbulbs in.The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful, laundry area is very dirty and washers smell. Road washes out and some very unappealing “full time” residents with a good amount of trash.The right side of the park for campers only seems better, but we’ve stayed at much better options just a few miles up the road.Owners live out of state and offer no help or care. After speaking to deliver other people staying- this seemed to be a very common opinion.

Nice park! Lots of space, mature trees as well as newly planted saplings. Very friendly people, and the managers were very nice and helpful. Theres fish in the pond too!

It is close to Hattiesburgs entertainment area and convention center, but also far enough away to be quiet. Theres a nice pond and adequate facilities.

Just called to make reservations for a cabin and the woman that answered the phone was really rude and unprofessional. I asked if they had cabins she said yes but i do not have anything available. I then asked when would she have anything available she said hmm i couldnt tell ya maybe next week.. i said okay thanks.. please save yourself the time and frustration..**Update the woman just called me back and tried to explain their situation. They have a new cabin being set up or something of the sort & its a first come first serve. I told her okay no thanks ill find somewhere else & hung up.**I surely do not want to stay where I do not feel welcome. I sure hope they work on their customer service

Daily rate is high $40 per night but weekly rate is approx $24-26 per night. Stay for a week, you will like it here.As for the last review about the manager, yes she can be strict but I think sometimes a person has to set a bar of understanding to not be messed with. Rules are there for a reason dont break them and you will be fine.Over all our experience here has been very pleasant!The showers are awesome, there is a pond in the back of the park (nice to go fishing- havent caught anything yet but still relaxing)If there was a WiFi rating I would have given it a 6 star out of 5! We are very pleased with the WiFi, in fact out of all the parks weve stayed this campground by FAR has the best! There was one night it kept disconnecting but otherwise it has been going strong full signal.Grateful for the stay and understanding the manager had for us.

I called at 9:30 this morning and was told that they dont reserve places. She said to call when I got there. Let me explain my situation. I bought my camper today. I have to live in Hattiesburg for anywhere from 3-6 months. I literally bought my camper and drove it straight here. Now Im here. I called and the woman very rudely answered the phone. She rudely asked if it was overnight and I told her no maam Im trying to rent for a month. I profusely apologized for being 38 minutes late and told her that I was from Meridian. She very snarkily said thats like an hour and a half away I talked to you at like 9:30 this morning. I again apologized and she asked very sharply, are you at my office now? To which I replied yes maam. She said oh great. At which point I was in tears and told her that I would find somewhere else and she responded great thank you and hung up on me. I drove to the nearest gas station and had a full out panic attack. Im sitting here in tears looking for a place because Im relocating here for work at the last second. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MINEY TO THESE PEOPLE.

I had stayed at this park several years ago and the experience wasNOT good so when my mom died and my dad came here to be with us while selling his home in Texas we made the decision to purchase an rv and this was last place I wanted to come to but it was the most affordable n best in area so needless to say we came and met the new manager at first I was extremely skeptical but it didn’t take but a few days to see she was running a tight ship and this place is so peaceful no more riff raff n everyday sitting at my window I see her either cleaning, working or checking on things and has also been quick to resolve any issues .. she is by far the best manager this place has ever seen and we are grateful!

I lived here for two years while attending USM. Its a great place. Very safe, the manager is super nice! They respond well to calls and issues! I had a great time living here.I highly recommend them. Its wayyyy cheaper than an apartment in the area and you dont have to deal with unruly neighbors above or below you.They also regularly have bonfires and get togethers. The manager decorates for each holiday. Its such a cute camp ground. I loved it.

Extremely rude lady answering phone. I called a few weeks ago and she seemed aggravated and didnt have time to talk. So I thought bad day, right? Then I called again today and the same result. I would never give these people my money

What a dump. I have never been so disrespected by an establishment in all my life. At shady cove the customer is apparently always wrong. $40 a night for this nasty place and disrespect along with it. After calling them and telling them the electricity on my site did not work, had to wait an hour first them to come to the site. Then they said it was my right that was the problem. They said I could get another site and left. This was past dark because of the wait. So I moved around a bit and just decided to leave. No refunds. Well folks. I am here to tell you Okatoma RV Resort is just down the street. Much much nicer and better folks and significantly cheaper. For me, this place is on permanent boycott, they dont deserve to be in business, rudest people I ever met.

Move here 2 mounths ago from lousisana it a nice rv park love it here love the camper we or reanting wish we could stay here long but we have to look for a outher place because he cant have are small dog and we had her for 10 years so she like one of our kids. And my son cant no longer keep her for us so we got to move to a place were we can have her just wish we could stay here but they just want let us have our dog but this is a real good park to live at and its very safe up date 11/17 no pet but i see all kinds of cats here and people walking dogs

Nice place with a great community. Good for a long term or overnight stay. Free cable and wifi. New washers and dryers, and a safe and serene environment. Its a shame the folks who enjoyed the place dont comment. Only people with negative comments, who were probably jerks to begin with.I would also like to take a minute to address this gentleman Dennis Cason. First of all I do not represent Shady Cove in any way, I am simply a guest that witnessed the interaction between Mr.Cason and the park manager. Mr Cason had complained that the power at his sight didnt work. I just so happen to be the individual that checked the power at the sight. All the plugs; 50, 30, and 20 amps; had electric going to them. When I explained this to him and that it must be his end (the plug or breakers on his camper), he became very rude and insisted on a refund. The manager politely explained to him that he could switch sights. He switched sights, saw that his camper still didnt work, (because it was his end) and left angry.2017, everything is everybody elses fault right?????
