The place has its problems but what place doesnt. Its a good place for people starting out on their own because of the reasonable rent and any fees that might come up. If you are looking to find a nice starter apartment, keep your options open when you first see boardwalk

I been resident of this apartment complex for 3 years, and is not loyalty to the residents what so ever, The way I see this apartment complex they dont have no Military support at all, I been dealing with a situation with a person who live in the second floor for about two months, And pretty much the answer i got for Jen the property manager is she cant do anything about, so pretty much every body can do what ever they want to do in here and is fine with the staff, You call the courtesy officer and the only that person do is talk with the person who is loud and tell them to turn the noise down and we left the person continuous with their action. So the courtesy officer the only is good about is to live for free on the apartment complex. And I call the the company the owners of the complex hired to manager the complex Prime and is the same no body care about nothing in here. So if you are in the Military I am strongly recommend you do not rent in this place, If you are a responsible parent do not rent in here for you kid to go to college security is bad on here, so pretty much from 1 to 10 i will give this place -0. Thanks hope the owners of this apartment complex read this and take charge and fix this situations in here

If I could give no stars I would. This place needs to be shut down! They say they have new management but the management is still horrible and maintenance staff is horrible too. When you put in a request takes them a month to get to it. And when you go up there and try to get it solved in person they have an attitude. They make it seem like youre getting such a good deal when you move here but TRUST ME YOURE NOT! Yes the price is pretty decent but youll see why once you get there, in the day time its peaceful, but at night youll notice its a bad neighborhood where bums hang out and some old dudes try to hit on all the college girls that stay here. Also unlike at other apartment complexes, the workout center is closed at night when the office is closed, probably because its in a bad neighborhood and their afraid of theft. There was also a shooting here recently and they finally decided to do something about it, but that didnt last long. They sent a meaningless flyer saying that cars without a decal would be towed and there will be security. I saw the security one day at the front gate then never saw them again. Oh yeah and the front gate is broken and had been for years so anyone can get in, hence the shooting. I didnt listen to people when they said do not stay here cause I felt I need to find out for myself and I thought whats bad for someone might not be bad for me. But listen to all bad reviews on her and do yourself a favor and DO NOT live here!!!!!

Terrible place to live. Two thumbs down 6 feet under. And please dont respond and try to fix my problems. I dont want to hear it. Just want to let the world know that yall shouldnt be making money with your service. Good day

My stuff has been thrown in trash bags twice while I was away on business. I have been away on business once again and apparently a water main upstairs broke for a third time ruining my stuff and molding everything else. I asked to find me a place to move and no response. I would love to get ahold of management to settle this dispute. My car was also towed while I was home once because parking permits changed but I was never informed. I was never reimbursed the 300 dollars. please someone help me out here.

Students and parents of students: Dont consider this place. Disregard the flashy new advertising, great amenities, and low price. It is not worth the risk. Gunshots are not uncommon here, frequent in fact. No place is completely safe from everything, but if you have an option do not put yourself or your child in harms way.

The experience is horrible they need proper office training and everyone needs to get on the same page. DO NOT deal with these unprofessional people at the complex they just have college students working who obviously dont know what theyre doing and giving out bad information

Im not one to complain because I have never lived a modest life. BUT BOARDWALK needs to be HISTORY. Im sitting here about to cry because there has been so much crap. My life has been put in danger many times here, but this is what I can afford so I stick it out. To all the parents and students that are looking for housing >>>>>>> IF YOU CAN AFFORD BETTER, DO IT. I DONT GIVE A DAMN IF it costs you an arm and a leg (you might lose it here anyway), just please dont sign a lease here…… I didnt know I was auctioning my heart, body and soul when I signed that lease. Corporate wont even help me. I cant believe I nearly lost my life over a TV. I am not exaggerating any of this!!!!!. The people working in the office cant even be trusted. One night I was in bed and I heard someone trying to get into my door with a key, I thought it was my roommate confused about which room was his—UNTIL IT KEPT HAPPENING. I found out months later that one of my roommates (WHO JUST SO HAPPENS TO WORK IN THE OFFICE and HAS ACCESS TO THE MASTER KEY) and his friends have been doing break-ins!!! Theres just so much I can say but I know I have said enough.

They work with me extremely well and I appreciate the people in the office. The apartments are tidy, and especially workable to anything you want to do!

Horrible place to go I stayed for one year can could not do it anymore. The overages was too much especially if its not four people on the lease. Something was always broke like washer and dryer or air condition. Anyone could come to the apartment, pool. etc. They really dont check if you are a resident or not. I have seen people stay in the rooms for free as long as one person is on the lease. People break the door locks, break in...its just too much. I also got put in a house full of smokers when I clearly put on the paper no smokers. Try to avoid as much as possible....better off getting a real apartment. Everyone is not saying the same thing for nothing people!

Over the last two years, Ive experience the worst manager BUT as of this year, the managers have went out their way to resolve all my issues. I guess they were tired of me complain lol BUT this year, I appreciate them for going above & beyond to resolve these issues.

I was there 2012-2013 and had to do an initial deposit. After the lease was over they came up with rediculous costs to clean the unit and Ive never received the remaining money (just because I am international and all they could do was send a cheque; absolutely no other way of reimbursing me of the original deposit).Moral of the story: they kept the money... Happy days. 👎

Boardwalk is the most unprofessional place of business that I have ever experienced in in my entire life. There apartments at this complex are so cheap. Boardwalk is so cheap that they only have one maintenance man and he can not possibly fix every apartment by his self. They never hold up there word for anything that they say. When I first moved in the apartment the apartment was not clean at all and I had to redo and clean up the whole apartment. When I first moved I did not have cable for two months, which they claim they were fixing and I kept getting the run around. Then when the cable finally started working, the cable box was not working and I had to get the cable box myself from Comcast which a tenant is not suppose to do. They dont own up to anything that is written in the contract. The employees never know what is going on because the front office always has crook for their manager. They wait 6 months to a year to post overages to your account because they forgot to bill you, and then they want there payment in full on the day that they ask for it. When you move out they also bill you a cleaning fee whether your apartment is clean or not, and they dont even clean the apartments for the next tenants moving in. Get ready for a whole lot of charges because that is what you are going to leave Boardwalk Apartments with. I was a good tenant who never caused any problems who paid my rent on time and all they tried to do was get over and extort money out of me everyway they could. Not to mention they tow your cars for no reason because they have a deal with the tow company and they make profit off of there own tenants, not to mention the parking lots are always empty. They have lost business over the last two years and can not fill their apartments up be cause of their underhanded behavior. On a scale of 1 through 10 they are a negative 10 thats how bad the service and the apartments are. Not to mention they have trash everywhere outside. They also have a Nat problem which you will never get rid of, except in the winter time. There is also multiple gun fire there every year and nothing is done about. I had gunshots outside of my window and literally had to lay on my floor for an hour because I feared for my life. This place is so horrible that I repented for all my sins because this place is Hell on Earth!!!!!!!!! If you are thinking about signing a lease with boardwalk please consider living somewhere else and dont waste your time cause if you live there I can guarantee they will extort you for money. TAKE HEED TO THIS WARNING

To be Frank, the management staff are con artists of the weakest caliber. I was promised that my lease would be changed so that it could start in January 18 instead of October 17. I went to the office and signed a brand new lease, hoping that everything would be alright. However, I was fooled. In December 2017, I was curious as to why I had not been getting any correspondence from Boardwalk on my impending move. I logged into my account and found that they had been charging me rent AND late fees for 3 months.The staff told me that they had never heard of me and did not have my new lease on file. I was incredibly upset upon finding this out. If my lease had not been changed, why would they go through all the trouble of having me sign a new lease? Communication between the office and me was almost entirely initiated on my end.The property manager has now sent me a final notice stating that I skipped and will bounce my account to a bill collector if i dont pay up the entirety of the bill in 30 days. How can they ask me to pay for a place Ive never been into, never received keys for, never put down a deposit for, or even been contacted that it was time for me to move in? Adell, Shameka, and the rest of the leasing staff are pro-scammers.

I wish I could rate it with 0 stars cause I would. Never & I do mean never move to Boardwalk. Its not student living they let anyone move there .. Their are elderly people and kids living there .. Boardwalk is actually a TRAP spot. Gnats everywhere, leaking ceilings, gun shots, & fights all the time. Management is horrible and rude, people are actually living in room free. People are getting robbed & the cameras do not work, so youre out of luck unfortunately. Rent should be 2 dollars a month but everyone knows that .. The apartment look horrible on the outside dont let the add fool you .. Your apartment will look nothing like the model house .. They also will charge you a 350 carpet fee once you move out and there is absolute nothing wrong with the carpet .. Take pictures of your room before moving in .. And theres also mode .. Building 4 is horrible .. AVOID IT .. Beware ... Honest opinion

I, literally, never had to call the police so many times in my life before I moved here, shootings, break ins, fights. A resident got shot and they hired security for a day, maybe it was two. No cameras, except for one, I suspect doesnt even work, on the office building, which was broken into and residents personal and banking information was stolen. Loud, obnoxious residents, although thats not exactly to be unexpected considering the demographics of the renters.Do yourself a favor and live anywhere else.

Im going to start off by saying I lived at Boardwalk for three years. I was never late paying rent. I didnt trash their complex. I didnt stay out all night in the parking lot shooting guns and screaming at people.With that being said, I am livid about my time spent there. First, Boardwalk is sold as this perfect college experience. Youve got an apartment that includes your electricity, internet, and cable in its bill. Who wouldnt jump at that?Dont get drawn in. Overages are ridiculous. Half of the time the internet is so slow that youre better off studying on campus.Unless you have three other friends to live with you then you are guaranteed one terrible roommate. If you try to take it up with the office then they claim that they cant do anything about it.As I mentioned earlier there are people out in the parking lot at all hours of the night screaming and shooting guns. Boardwalk did nothing to counter this. The gates never worked so anyone could enter the complex. The buildings are infested with gnats and silverfish.You have to pay $275.00 per animal if you choose to bring a pet along. I had two animals. I paid Boardwalk $550.00 in all to keep a dog and a cat, but they refused to use that deposit (or the $50 extra dollars I paid each month for them in pet rent) to go towards my damages (a $351.00 carpet replacement).I emailed the property manager (Adelle?) to ask her about this and she didnt even have the decency to respond. I lived on their property for three years, but they didnt even have the integrity to email me back over a question?Dont move here. They dont value people. They just see dollar signs. Its trashy, unsafe, and they dont care about the well-being of their residents. If I could give them zero stars then I would.Edit: I never spoke with anyone. My roommate continually contacted Adell. Not me. I had to hear everything through her.

I was trying to avoid bashing Boardwalk, but I have had enough! I have literally been waiting for over a month for them to fix my A/C but it still is not working. I first called in at the end of March and put in about 4 requests before someone finally showed up on the 11th and fixed the problem. The next day I put in another request saying that it still was not fixed and since then have put in about 7 more. The front desk staff has constantly given me the run around telling me that the maintenance man will get to it when he has time (apparently he is swamped with other requests). I can understand a few days, but it has been WEEKS!! I honestly cannot remember when the last time my apartment temp was below 78 degrees.Besides that there are so many other problems1.The outside is so dirty2. The light fixtures outside are full of dead bugs3. The front gates apparently havent worked in years4. Everyone I know here has a silverfish problem5. The internet is dial-up speed6. The pool, movie room, weight room, etc closes at regular business hoursI know that there is new management and they are supposedly addressing some of these problems, but my AC went out AFTER they took over and it still is not fixed. How many bad (truthful) reviews do I have to write before my problems are addressed, instead of just being told by multiple staff members to be patient?

The company has yet too send me back my deposit check and I moved out July 31 2017 talk with a lady named Adele at least four times a week and she has been telling me that she is emailing the main office and they have not replied. I wouldnt suggest anyone trust this company with there deposit at all. Currently looking for a lawyer.

Gun shots are heard everyday. Maintenance half asses everything. Something new is always breaking. They tow cars for no reason there is more than enough room for visitors to park by the buildings.
