First of all the salon was dirty, the glass that they use to protect the technician from the customer was smudged like it was on a public bus or in a daycare center. So that was my first impression of my first visit at the salon. I let it go trying to give them a chance to be worth the price they charge. The nail tech acted like it was her first time in her whole life doing nails. She painted my toes a different color than my nails. I didn’t notice until I got home because obviously they do the pedicure first and my feet are under the table while they’re doing my nails. At some point she must’ve grabbed the wrong nail polish and painted my nails wrong colors.I’m reasonable, I called spoke with Hung, she was so nice, but the manager told me he can’t fix my nails, He was sooooo so rude.. $117 I can’t believe this is the service they provide. I told him I was reporting him to BBB HE HUNG UP!!!!!!Save your money and stress GO somewhere else.He said if I left a review he would NOT ALLOW ME TO come in and get anything fixed at all… who does that?!!!

I was very upset about the service I received today. These are supposed to be my birthday set for this Saturday. When he was finished he said it would be $70, I looked at them and thought to myself this is not worth $70. So I wasn’t sure if I over reacted so I posted it on my social media and over 20+ people told me that it was not worth the price and to get a refund or get some money back. So I expressed my feelings to the manger that I don’t think it was worth the price. I only asked about $20-$30, or them to at least fix them.He began to say that there is no refunds and the my nails look exactly like the picture. Also, he proceeded to tell me that it’s not their fault I don’t like my nails. I was very upset because I’m a very understanding person and super nice. So when he was talking very disrespectful to me, I felt humiliated in-front of people. The manager does NOT value the costumer and just is selfish. Please take your many somewhere else and do not support the manager by doing your nails there.

Im new in the area and its hard finding places to do your nails each time we relocate.I found this place when I went to the shopping center and went in to see if they do walk in.The took me in and take care of me without a hardtime.Looks clean and very nice employees.The guy at the front was nice and treat me with respect even if I did not made an appoitment.Got a pedicure and full set, Nancy was great and nice, she did a great job on my nails. Even fix my toes after I mess them up without a fuss.Everyone was wearing their mask the right way too! I highly recommend this place to everyone.

New & a Sunday walk-in customer at Gurnee Nails & Spa. It was FABULOUS! Ive worn acrylics for 30 yrs. ~ appreciate all the small things for perfect nails I needed an acrylic fill. Limbo was terrific & exceeded my expectations. ILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!

Today was my 1st trying this salon and let me just say it’s absolutely gorgeous inside. Liembo did my nails today and he was so pleasant and thorough! I’m so pleased and will be back in 3 weeks. This is my new place.

Had been going there a few times, everything was okay, this time went asked for dipping powder and gel color. The women doing it her hands were shaking, left half the color on my nails, made them look like bubbles on them. Super disappointed. Choose wisely which lady you choose, and watch them. If i could post a picture i would.

3 days after a no-chip manicure. I’ve never had this happen before. First and last time going there.

I walked in with high hopes for my nails. I had shown my nail tech a very simple design and everything was going good until he started painting. I had shown him the photo again and he had agreed once more. then he wanted to see them again to which I showed him and asked if thats what I really wanted. the nails came out lumpy and very bulky. the nail art is on the wrong finger after we both agreed what finger i really wanted it on. the nail art only matched half of the reference photo. he was extremely passive aggressive and scolded me over little things. I also got an eyebrow wax that looks messed up. one eyebrow is bigger than the other, has no arch and doesnt match my natural shape whats so ever. the lady put baby oil on after she had caused it to bleed. I hate to bash them as a business but i did not appreciate how i was treated after i was being nothing but respectful.

I came here to get a dip manicure removal and they got me in quickly. The woman taking care of me was juggling a lot of other responsibilities, so I was even more impressed how detailed she was in taking every little bit of dip off and making my nails look much healthier than previous removal jobs at other establishments! Looking forward to getting a full manicure soon!

Looks like a 5 year old did my french nails. This is right after i got out of the salon. Not to mention my cuticles were all over the place. This was for a wedding. Good luck.

The person I had was not very good. I had a no chip mani with a regular pedicure. The person barely filed and shaped my nails. Just took of the old polish and barely went over my nails with the file and re-painted them. Its been a little over a week and one of my nails already lost polish. My pedicure was about the same, very little effort.There are many people there, I may have just gotten someone new.

Spa pedicures are amazing, i feel like a super star. The spa pedicure was one of the best I had in the area. Definitely will come back and will bring family too. Saw a lot if men getting their pedicures on too which shows they cater to both genders really well.

My pedicure was a joke. Horribly done. My no-chip was as if I a preteen did them.

My friend and I went in for a full set; the guy who did my nails was super rude and passive-aggressive the entire time. He didn’t know what I was asking for even when I showed him a picture and told him several times. Not to mention poor hygiene! He would cough in his hand several times and then go back to doing my nails while touching my hands. Super gross and made me uncomfortable! Not to mention my nails at the end were not fully coated and only had one coat of color on. It was a poor experience for us and I recommend if you want a good job and a comfortable, kind environment, go somewhere else.

Howard provided exceptional service and was knowledgeable about nail care. Got dip powder and pedicure. The atmosphere was clean and relaxing, followed safety guidelines to protect both customers and technicians. Will definitely be back 🙂

Dismissive, rude, and unhelpful technicians. Nails chipped within hours. Even with appointments we were told to wait. No help with color selection. couldn’t find what we wanted. When trying to explain to explain we were constantly referred back to the samples. Not pleasant or relaxing.

AVOID this place at all costs. I got a pedicure and full set on a Thursday of one week and the following Wednesday one nail had popped off and two others are lifted at the sides. I called and spoke with some named Howard who claimed to be the manager. He was nasty and rude. I explained I was out of the country and would return the next day and asked for an appointment for the nails to be fixed, he gave me a time, I asked for a later time as I already had an appointment at that time and he said no because, “I don’t make time for them.” Huh? I explained again I have another appointment at that time and can come earlier or later he got louder and ruder. I then said well I can just come and get a refund and he said no. I then placed my husband on the phone because this man was literally yelling in the phone and proceeded to do the same to my husband. I have never has this experience before and will never patronize this business again. I’ll explore other options to get my money back.

Beautiful spa, confusing pricing, overcharged for a package deal. Asked for a design and was flat out told no, even though the girl I was with got one. Chipped after one day, overall very disappointed.

This is the worst salon i’ve been to in gurnee. I gave them three chances and they severely messed up my nails each time. definitely sticking to pro nails across the street.

Very clean and nice looking spa, person doing my nails was very sweet and did a great job. Would definitely recommend.

This place only got 2 stars from me because of the easy appointment process online and the fact that they use one time per packages files and buffers but other than that they have horrible customer service. I should have just went to my original nail shop. What a waste of time and money 😡

UPDATE: So I went to this establishment on Sunday to get a pedicure. I wasnt able to see Kim because she was booked. The owners wife did my pedicure and it was HORRIBLE. Now I am back here to get another 4 days later because she did such a bad job. 70 dollars twice in one week. Ridiculous! Be careful who you see here....Kim, Limbo and MeMe are great. Good luck with anyone else...so disappointing.FIRST VISIT: This place is AMAZING! Kim is awesome and gives top-notch service. The spa is clean and they check your temperature and make you sanitize your hands before you go to your service. The sanitize the chairs between clients and space you out for social distancing.

My first trip here was great, the no chip pedicure lasted upwards of 3 weeks. My second trip, one week ago was awful! The older man who did my pedicure cut my skin with the electric file while taking off the previous polish. He didnt paint large portions of my nails, globbed the polish on my baby toes making them look like globes and hurt, and the tops of my toe were not filed evenly or sealed (I could see the white nail on the top of each toe). I came back and had them fix them... they touched them up, but it was still not well done. The entire pedicure literally peeled off randomly exactly one week later. So annoyed that I spent that much money for a shotty job. I will be looking for another salon.

Howard did such an amazing job, showed him a picture of dip powder ombré nails with design and he made it look just like the picture. He made my first time experience enjoyable and I will definitely be coming back to see him .

I go here often and usually see Kim and she is amazing. However I saw an older man today and got the spa pedicure and not only was it super rushed some of the cuticles are not cut and I still have rough patches on my feet. Also he didnt use the exfoliation scrub at all when I asked he said he used one but the little dish was still full. I was not happy with my service today at all worse pedicure I have ever received.

The techs did a wonderful job. However, the tech that did my mothers nails was very rude and made multiple annoyed facial expressions.

I have been to many nail salons and this one definitely exceeded my expectations, especially with everything going on in the world. My favorite one is Oak Park, IL where I grew up. I recently moved to Gurnee and was still traveling to OP to get my nails done. I didnt have time to go to OP today and needed my nails done for my trip. Looks like I wont be going that far anymore to get my nails done. The place was so clean. Staff so friendly and respectful. The service was superb. I love the type of music they were playing too. It was so relaxing, I almost asked for a massage too. Oh and I love that they have a menu you can read and see the services and prices of what they offer. You dont have to ask a ton of questions while youre getting service.

Nancy was very nice, she did my pedicure and manicure how I wanted, definitely going back again!

They have many options for pedicures, all are great!! I recommend the one where they use orange peels, it’s amazing! Full sets and fill-ins are also great! I’ve been very pleased since they came to the neighborhood very convenient for me, and they are always available.

I am looking for a new place since LV Nails closed. Four of my acrylic nails fell off and I needed a fill. I dished out a 25% tip to go home and have the same four nails fall off that Lyly put on new, while she talked on the phone. Since she doesn’t speak English at all, it’s very hard to communicate what you would like done, she didn’t understand that I changed my mind on a butterfly sticker for my nails. I called and the owner said to come in and he will replace them. I came in, and he refused to fix them. Pretty place, terrible service.

I came here with my best friend and I wanted to get the same thing as her because this is my first time getting my nails done. I wanted to get the same thing as her which was regular acrylic gel nails… the person I got did it and it was super bumpy and was not smooth like my friends. It was nothing I asked for . The service also took very long.

I am extremely disappointed in the service I received. I was scheduled for a spa pedicure and a basic manicure, both services were completed in 55 minutes. The technician took skin (as well as the cuticle) from around my finger nails. My toe nails were not cut and filed evenly. I left and within 15 minutes the polish came off (completely) on 2 toes. I called and the owner blamed it on the nail polish, I requested a refund and he refused.

Long term nail bitter here and this is the Only place that has listened to me about how my nails grow up to the sky and trying to fix it ... I love this place and I have found my forever nail tech thanks for being awesome

The woman seemed to rush through my whole experience was very rough with my nails. Basically wiped lotion on my hands as the massage and the worst part is my nails don’t even look or feel good. The edges are rough and the painting is uneven. My whole gel manicure took like 10 min, very rushed and poor quality. I’m sorry to be leaving a negative review- something I’ve never done but it sucks to try and treat yourself and get so let down and leave disappointed .

This was my first time here . It was very clean and nice . I got a spa pedicure and it was awesome they use some different things and was worth the money. The lady did a good job but I was a little taken back because she was not professional. She was texting on her phone and calling someone and having a conversation. She had one ear piece in her ear.I think that she should have waited to do her personal stuff when she was done with the pedicure . But I will come back because the shop was nice and the pedicure was great. But will ask for another person .

First time here, I’ve gone to all nail places in Gurnee and I can say this one is by far the CLEANEST I’ve been to. They seem to really care about the covid procedures, they don’t have you wait in the waiting area with other people, they sit you where you need to go, if you made an appointment ahead of time, which is already 10x better than any other place I’ve been to in the area. Would highly recommended they did a great job with my pedicure as well

I enjoyed my time spent. I didnt feel rushed. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the employees. I will be going back for sure and will recommend you guys as well. The woman who did my acrylics did a beautiful job, i’m happy with the result, & will DEFINITELY be going back. their precautions regarding covid are great (temperature checks & sanitation at entry). The place is overall clean & slick.

The place has great customer service and yes they are very clean. This is the best nail tech place in the world. Please come out and check them out they are very clean and very professional. And I recommend them to have a hundred Stars. And we always greet you with a smile.

Fast service, greeted promptly. Very nice and clean. A discount was offered as well. A promotion perhaps. My only issue was the lady who did my nails picked one color (me the other) for dipped nails that I didnt much like. but it was my first go at the dipped nail procedure.

The place is super clean and I love that part and that’s why I went back. But every time I went back it’s like the worst quality I got and I went back to 3 different people just to make sure it’s not just one technician. I went to get dip and the lady put gel on top. I told her I do not like to use LED light and the same tech did it to my friend previously and her gel top coat peels off. I also had globs of top gel and my shape was not how I asked and I repeated myself a few times. Will not be going back. A waste of my time and money. Save your money

Brand new, clean and beautiful! My daughter and I got star treatment. The nail technicians took their time and gave special attention! They were very pleasant! Highly recommend!

Overall it was a great experience. The only thing I didn’t like was when I asked the technician to cut my nails short he said no and didn’t want to cut them. I need my nails short and if the technician is not willing then I will try another tech and if it doesn’t work out I will not return.

Everything is extremely clean and well-kept. The technicians are amazing and do such a good job. Probably my new favorite place for nails.

You guys, this is the 2nd time I EVER write a review (the first was 4 years ago). I came to Gurnee Nails as a last minute resort because everywhere else was closed. They were super nice and Howard took care of me. Usually I get charged for a whole new gel full set. Not this time! Howard did what was best for the buck and also did not pressure me into other services I did not come in for. His work is so good, it looks like these are my real nails! Absolutely loved him and the place is extremely clean with a good sanitary routine prior to getting serviced due to COVID-19. Cant say it enough...LOVED IT!!!!!

They are super clean and professional. I’ve been very happy with my last two experiences there. They take their time perfecting your nails and are willing to listen and correct when you’re not happy with something.They also have great Covid precautions, they have hand sanitizer at the front and at all the stations. They also take your temperature and have a plexy glass covering between you and the nail specialist.

It was nice that they were able to get me in for a full set with out an appointment. This was my first time there, but I plan to go back.

People are really friendly and the spa element with a stone massage for the pedicure was very nice.

The person did not understand English and was rushing to complete my job trying to take more customers. Horrible customer service they don’t know what they was doing, and would not recommend to anyone.
