Great customer service but, the new nail techs need more practice/experience or they need to shadow a more seasoned nail tech. It took a couple of hours for a fill in and then the young lady only put acrylic on the base of my nail instead of spreading all over the nail, so my real nails are breaking…. Gotta get them re fixed again!!!! But, still a nice place, the new nail techs that just finished school need more practice……

Was pretty happy about going here, the lady who greeted me was very nice, upon reaching my actually hair stylist, I booked a hair cut. Just for the stylist to tell me she doesn’t have any clippers and cannot cut my hair …. How do you not own a pair a clippers? Or able to use another stylists? Idk but it was a complete waste of my time and I feel as though she could have / should have just called me to let me know she can’t service me. You could’ve let me know at the door. She did offer to do a line up but I’m not coming for just a line up as that’s not what i booked for. My goal was to avoid going to a male barber shop but luckily i did and another shop was able to get me in as a walk in

Nails were pretty but it’s been 1 weeks and two fingers have broke off from the middle and two popped off completely. Bad quality.edit: Went today to see if I could receive a refund or a redo, I was told I had to pay full price because the window of redos is 24 hours. They also blamed it on wear & tear… if that was the case my whole nail would be off not breaking on in the middle on multiple fingers and my index fingers started lifting within hours.

It was okay, what passes for a pedicure I guess is Left up to interpretation. I didnt get a massage at all lets just say that to start with, not to mention the girls nails were so long I dont think she could have done a massage even if she wanted to. However she did do a beautiful job painting my fingernails and my toenails but thats not all that goes into a pedicure unfortunately or a manicure, and the tip reflected that.

It was a very nice salon. Clean and spacious and everyone there was polite. They had good customer service, the technicians and stylists were smiling and just in a good mood. I would have given this place five stars had it not been for how my nails turned out. I think the nail tech that did my nails was having an off day because they did not turn out as expected. From afar they look alright but up close they dont.

I have saw this salon a couple of time when I go to the bank, read the reviews, looked at some nail pics everything seemed great. Well I finally got a chance to stop by and get my nails done I thought. Walked in at 6:30 was greeted by a girl sweeping because the front desk lady was busy. When the front deck lady got off the phone she greeted me again apologized for my wait and asked me what would I like to get done. I told her I needed to get a fill in. She then walked over to the girl sweeping and two techs sitting at their table (which they were sitting there talking and looked bored ) asked if anybody had wanted to do my fill in, both nail techs looked away seemed very uninterested and the girl sweeping said no we are booked we don’t have time an it takes 1hr 30mins for a fill in. The front desk lady said I understand. Told me and asked if I wanted to make an appointment. Honestly I didn’t want to make an appointment because I was there at 6:30 they closed at 8. Not a good first Impression. I still want to give them a chance to do my nails but I’m scared to waste my time and gas traveling there to get turned away. I gave them a three star because the receptionist was amazing and honestly the only reason I will try to return and give them a chance.

Super accommodating for even last minute. They strive to make sure everyone has their best experience the first time and will even do redo if need be. 4 USB plugs for charging phone in waiting area. COVID friendly protectors, super clean, water fountains with water better fillers, affordable prices and sooooooo soooooo many services for a small shop. 2 parking areas: one behind shop with signs and across the street in lot #47 in spots 1-85. The owner personally works in the store is super friendly. Staff will try anything you show them. Pedi chairs are straight luxury. Dont pass them by, you wont regret it.

I called to schedule an appointment and spoke to Cody he advised me to come in and get a consultation. When I arrived the salon was very organized and clean. Since Covid is still here, you have to wash your hands and get your temp taken. Cody looked at my hair and ran his fingers through it to see what was needed to get my hair healthy again. I explained to him what I needed done he said they could do it but I would have to return later that afternoon. When I returned Cody cut my hair before I got the relaxer. Joseph, put the relaxer in and worked wonders on my hair. I am very, very pleased with the outcome of my hair cut and my relaxer. The staff is very friendly and willing to listen to exactly what you want. The price was never discussed before I hit the chair to get my hair done. I didnt ask but he did say we can go over the prices which I agreed to. Hey, I looked a hot mess so I was willing to pay for a new look. Well the price was excellent when I went to pay. So affordable, I thought it would have been more considering the excellent work they do. I definitely recommend them, you wont be disappointed. Thanks You, Althea

Okay. So for blowouts I give this place 5 stars. For boxless braids I walked out paying 230$ and I wasn’t satisfied and it didn’t look exactly like the picture. Go to your typical African braid shop. Avoid braids here.

I went here for the first time to get my nails done early July. Carolyn did my nails so beautifully! I wanted like a Barbie pink color and she gave me just that! She was clean and knowledgeable about the questions I had concerning other styles. She kept great conversation as well! She told me she had been doing this for years and the proof is in the pudding!About the nail salon in general, it was clean and all of the staff were friendly. My younger cousins joined me on this day to get their nails and toes done as well and had nothing but positive things to say about the ladies who serviced them as well! There was a mix up with our appointments where one of the girls wasn’t added to the appointment and it was quickly resolved. I’ll definitely be returning because I got amazing service from faces that looked like mine!

Ms.Carolyn & Charielle do great work. Ms. Carolyn really takes her time & is very thorough.That being said I was really disappointed this week. I’m a very busy flight attendant always on the go. I never received my appointment reminder text/email & as a result missed my appointment & was charged a cancellation fee. Luckily the next day I called & they were able to fit me in. I did inform Ms. Carolyn of this but nothing was done & that’s disappointing.

Had a pretty awful manicure today. Manicurist was nice enough but horrible job. My cuticle bled when being cut, my nails are uneven, polish is all over my cuticles and blotchy. Going to have to go and have it redone. Ill try again though. Saw a nail tech that was really good. The place was cool, good vibes.Update: wow, just got a call from the salon asking me to come in for a redo. Blown Away!!! Great customer service will always get a 5 from me.

The customer service was great and amazing but the actual quality of the nails was not great. I’m not trying to be rude or bash them but the quality was messy. I get that they’re students but if you’re charging someone $29 then give them good quality. Tbh it looks like something I can do myself for free.

I arrived at my appointment time at the scheduled time. The nail tech didn’t introduce herself neither did she engage in any conversation with me during my service. I asked for my pedicure water to be cooler, she misheard me and poured boiling water in the bowl, wow. I explained that I wanted regular polish on my hands and feet because I am going to a funeral. I received regular nail polish, but once I got to my car the polish wasn’t dry. On top of that, the stylist mentioned during my visit to another stylist that she won’t be there long. I do not recommend Stephanie because she didn’t provide good service and treated me uncomfortably. I was ready to pay and leave!

This place has a very friendly atmosphere! I will say however that unless you’re booking Tiffany I would not get my manicure done here especially for natural nails. My manicure came out a little clumpy looking. The polish was not done with a steady hand and the nail tech didn’t do a great job at cleaning around the nail. Tiffany is by far the best nail tech at this shop FYIUpdate*Someone from the salon called and apologized for the poor service I received and also made it right by offering a free manicure. This kind of customer service is commendable and I appreciate them taking the time to make things right.

The service I requested for my nails was just fine. I ended up getting a removal to allow my nails time to breathe. However, the tech who did my nails was Tiffany and she was very rude. She was on her phone the entire time. This was my first time here and so I was asking her questions about the shop, the options in the services, etc. my nails were also very damaged so I was trying to ask her questions about that as well. On multiple occasions she ignored me or “didn’t hear me” because she was too busy on her phone. It was extremely rude. I could’ve gone anywhere, but I chose to go there. I would ask a question and then moments later after no response she’s reply “what” or “huh”. I was ready to go at that point. Do better and make sure everyone is on the same page about what “customer service” really means.

Quoted $30-40 dollars on a round brush blow out, and given a 45 minutes tops time estimate for a gel manicure on short natural nails. Neither were true.At check out I was charged $50 (I get my hair blown out monthly and have NEVER been charged this much) AND I was sitting with the nail tech from 10:55 (got there 5 mins early for my 11am appointment) until 12:35pm. And hour and a half of starting over and fixing mistakes, idk if the nail tech was having an off day or what but she forgot the base coat got the gel manicure on one hand, then mis-painted the wrong colors on the other, after 1.5 hours I just said never mind because I was late for my hair appointment and trying not to miss a 1:45pm class.Theres not one but TWO signs on the door about the importance of customer satisfaction, but when I asked for the manicure to be removed from my bill ( I was amazed I even had to ask honestly) I was told they couldnt do it because my nails had been filed. Again, were talking my short natural nails. This is the first salon Ive tried in Greensboro, and Im pretty bummed about this horrible waste of not only money, but 4 hours of my day (not to mention the time spent re-doing my edges and ends b/c the stylist didnt really know how to smooth them with a round brush (i.e. using a 4 in brush is a technique, maybe the salon should get stylists some 2 in brushes for the smaller hairs and some serum too-- hair oil and oil sheen does not = a sleek blowout). After I got out to my car it hit me that I got uncharged on my hair too, and at that point it was all just too much so I went back in, explained, showed the manager (b/c apparently there was one on site after all) the quality of my hair and she was really kind and understanding and gave me $10 back AND offered to fix my nails later this week but it shouldnt have to be all this...Waiting to hear back from manager or owner on how they plan to right this wrong, because I know this cant be the kind of customer service they have in mind.

If you want a haircut go somewhere else. I asked for a medium Skin Fade which means you give the person a fade and I got buzzed bald. The first time I went I thought the guy was just having a bad day but the next two times I went I knew the dude just does not know how to cut hair. These people need to go back to barber school because when someone asks for a fade it means faded, not freaking bald. Learn how to do the job you physically get paid to do. The first image is an actual fade. The second image is my so called fade.

Ive never had a bad experience at this salon, everyone is very friendly! Today i had an appointment with Marcell to get a trim. I got out of class early and he was willing to fit my in an hour before my appointment which i was VERY grateful for! He was very thorough and did a great job evening me out, but he didnt take to much off which is ALWAYS my fear. My hair looks much healthier and has great shape again. I definitely recommend!

I love latonya as my stylist. I never had any issues with her, she is the best there is in my book. She’s ver professional, her shops has always been very clean. And now with covid-19. She shops are extra clean. She gives you ponchos as the capes, so you throw them away when your done or wear it out if it’s raining. It’s one client at a time and she sanitizes each client leaves. Make your next move be a millennium move it will be your best move yet.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The first time I went to his nail salon the woman doing my nails was extremely rude and she rushed through my nails. She did not take the time to lay the foundation of acrylic so the nails did not last long and a complete waste of money. Also the second time I called to reschedule an appointment with someone else the receptionist was absolutely rude. I ended up not going through with the appointment because of how dissatisfied I was with the customer service. I would not recommend this salon to anyone I know.

I absolutely love this place. I go here everytime to get my hair cut by Marcel Alexander and let me tell you satisfaction is guaranteed every single time. Went to get my hair done and got a color correction and a “balayage”. The blonde was nice but did not resemble the picture I showed the person who did my hair or a balayage in general. When I arrived home I notice my hair was in awful condition and it currently falling out in clumps from the bleach process. Hair rips out of my head. My hair was in a healthy state before I arrived and now it’s so irreversibly damaged. I payed $200 for my hair to be fried.

I came in two weeks ago to get my nails done I had a appointment set for 2:15pm and they set it to 2:30pm.. One of my coworkers referred me to go to this lady named precious... she did my nails so quick it felt rushed and now i am soaking off my nails because 4 of them are lifting up be she did not use enough acrylic.. I’m not satisfied and I will not be back

Came here to get my hair done and my hair looks great. I just felt really sorry for this girl that came to get her hair done. The stylist with the bad brows and colorful wig thats not glued down (how is she a stylist? I would rather Stevie Wonder do my hair than this girl with the bad weave. Got2B Glued? No?) and that tall dude was talking really bad about the girl. They was trying to be discreet but I could tell that the girl knew they were bad mouthing her because she looked uncomfortable. At least if youre going to talk about somebody then dont look at the girl and laugh while doing it. I was going to come back to get my hair done but since theyre being unprofessional and mean then Ill pass. I cant stand bullies.

I had a great experience at Millenium! I bought a Groupon and booked my appointment with Stephanie. I love being greeted when I walk into an establishment, the receptionist was professional, cheerful and overall really pleasant.I didnt have to wait to be seated for my appointment. Stephanie took me to my seat. She provided great conversation, a really warm personality and explained the whole process to me. My nails were in rough shape after an experience at another salon. Stephanie fixed the damage and educated me on how to prevent further damage in the future. Precious (another nail tech) was friendly as well and joined in conversation.Im so glad I decided to visit Millennium Salon. I love that its black owned with a professional atmosphere and great music. Ive found two new nail techs Stephanie and Precious! Theres no language barrier, the prices are fair and the work is great! It feels good to spend money with an establishment that cares about their customers.I look forward to visiting again! This place is my new home for nail care!

Groupon will be looking into this a very misleading advertising. The girl doing my nails admitted she had to have someone else help her with a French manicure which they paint on by hand. I mean it’s a French manicure not an elaborate design .Amateur work some nails square some rounds some oval.

When I arrived the receptionist was very friendly. I was already having a bad day and I guess she could tell, she told me a few jokes to lift my spirits. While I was waiting they had a nice selection of music playing. The other styles where really nice. But the guy Marcell that did my blowout, Honey he did a wonderful job my hair is still bone straight and its been bout a week. Overall it was a very clean shop unlike ones I been to before. I never heard any gossiping just smiles and laughter. I would highly recommend this shop.

Came to get a pedicure and was pretty annoyed with the service. I waited 25 minutes when I had an appointment. Tiffani cut me twice, was on her phone, and I had to ask her to rescrub my feet because it wasn’t done well. The only thing done well was the paint job. I won’t be returning.Went to the student health center for antibiotic ointment just in case.

I love my gel nails and Deluxe Pedicure. Although, I would have liked more massaging during my pedicure. My nails and toes came out perfect! Great atmosphere to relax.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, when I make an appointment I expect to be seen close to my time not an hour after. But overall its a great place.

I got my hair cut here a few months ago and my experience did not go as planned. I came in to get my natural hair trimmed. I called before and asked if the stylist needed me to blow dry my hair before I came, she said that he could cut it in its natural state. I come in and this man proceeds to cut my hair while its still in a puff, so I asked do you need me to take it down he said no. So while hes cutting I begin to worry that the cut will be uneven because he didnt cut it while my hair is down. I asked him how it would look when I straighten it, and he says it would be uneven and that most naturals dont need a precise cut because they usually wear there hair in its natural state all the time. I was furious, why would you cut hair unevenly just because you wont be able to tell its uneven while in its natural state. Overall I feel stupid to have even trusted him with my hair and also feel that as a stylist he should have asked me questions to assess my goal for my hair and its current state. Never again! Would not reccommend for naturals, unless you are prepared to micromanage your stylist to make sure they doing your hair properly.

Just left from getting a Cut at this salon. Marcell did a great job with what I asked for and he was very polite. The Receptionist however was very rude & not so polite. From someone who has been in Customer Service for 15 years-this is simply unacceptable. Please DO BETTER.

I had a bad experience with my nails which kept lifting and it got caught in my ripped jeans and ripped off and started bleeding. I called Millennium and Mrs.Tonya had set up Ms.Carolyn to fix my nails. Ms.Carolyn fixed my nails and was very gentle with me. It was closing time and these two amazing women stayed late to help fix my nail and to have a genuine conversation with me. They educated me on how and why my nail was lifting and there was no complaint while fixing it or staying late! Walking in Millennium is like walking back home, these two ladies made me feel like family and I have nothing but respect for them. Thank you and see you soon!

Just beyond impressed with Stephanie and the staff and the owner ! I never ever do anything for myself. My career and kids keep me to busy !Found a Groupon got it for 29 mani/ pedi ! I felt so comfortable unlike other nail salons I have been to in the past ! I would recommend this 1000 percent !!

I would not recommend ANYONE to go to Marcel, especially if you have natural hair. So I came in as a walk in and asked about any specials they had. Marcel was at the front desk and mentioned the $50 deal with hair and nails. When he told me about it I was interested, however he told me I wouldn’t be able to get my nails done. WHY mention a deal if it’s not available. Now my problem comes in when I see other people come in and get there’s done WITH THE DEAL. And I know it was with the deal because I heard her ask for the deal. She got her nails done first then got her hair done after. While putting the cape on me he is talking about he needs to find an outfit for tonight because kids can be cruel and he doesn’t want to be talked about then mentions how he fights kids. That was strike one for the unprofessionalism. Now I am NATURAL. Meaning you have to be patient with our hair and de tangle it properly in smaller sections. He used a small tooth comb to detangle and was ENTIRELY TOO ROUGH. Then while flat ironing my hair he rushes through it THEN goes and BLOW DRIES it after he just flat ironed it. To add on top of that He goes back and CURLS my hair. I NEVER asked him to curl my hair I asked for my hair to be flat ironed. Once I notice him doing it (because I was not facing a mirror so I could not see) I asked to check it once I see it I tell him I wanted it flat ironed with a slight bump at the end and he gets the biggest attitude and runs the flat iron through the area he curled BUT SOME AREAS WERE STILL CURLY when he was “done”. When I left the chair I had to go home and REDO my roots and areas from the curls he tried to do in my hair. Overall he was very unprofessional, rude and did not do what he was asked to do. I was not pleased with my service at all.

Went to get my hair cut and colored. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating over the phone. I arrived and was told I might have to wait a little longer for my hair appointment since I didnt know what time I would be there and I ended up being served immediately. There was a little bit of confusion regarding the color I wanted but it turned out perfectly. My hair dresser was very nice and funny. Didnt catch her name but she had an accent. I liked her alot. My only complaints are that my hair cut was slightly uneven but nothing I couldnt fix at home. That, and the blonde hair dresser was really rough on my hair when she was brushing and blow drying. But overall a very nice visit and I plan on coming back before I graduate :)

I had such high hopes for this place! It was gonna be my new spot! I even wanted to get my inlaws serviced for our vacation that just past but after getting the full set of SnS (to which is suppose to last weeks from what i understand) Im so disappointed. I loved how they came out initially. but it did not even last a week. I almost lost 4 full nails because it was done to what i can only think poorly. Although i loved the design and shape it was obvious that it was not done thoroughly. With nails lifting 1 by 1. I was so upset especially with me almost pulling multiple entire nails off on both hands while on vacation having to go and purchase nail glue hoping you can save them without having to cut the entire nail off. Only to know you have to pay to get them removed when i get back because they are all lifting one after another only maybe 2 weeks after being done. Its upsetting to say the least.

Ive been a customer of the Millennium experience since Millennium Stylez first opened in 2000. Every visit has always been a pleasant professional experience! Also, providing great hair care! I would recommend any of the 4 Millennium salons to any one looking for professional hair care!!!

Best hair salon in Greensboro. Hair nails eyebrows, one stop shop

I live across the street and thought it would be a convenient place to get my hair cut. I have blonde thin hair and I decided to go from lower back length hair to shoulder length. I’ve done it before, no big deal. I showed the woman (I don’t remember which one) a picture of exactly what I wanted, even a picture of what it looked like the last time I cut it short. The only thing she got right was the shoulder length part. I expressed that I wanted layers. And all that I got were chop marks on the right side. Ignored the fact that I DONT part my hair down the middle and my hair on the left side was a full inch longer than the right. I had to curl it and keep it up until I could get in with my hair stylist at home. I’m not the type of person to complain and I didn’t want them to try and fix it being as they couldn’t do it the first time and I didn’t want any more getting cut off and it be way shorter than I could bare to allow them the chance to fix it.

I went in for a clipper cut on a whim and got assigned to Tonya and she did an amazing job! She made me feel extremely comfortable and was so polite the whole way through!!

Came to get hair done 2x and it still was bad after the 2nd time. Will not be returning back.

They do nails nice but their prices always change + they tax on a college campus. One day I broke a nail it 5 dollars to repair. I come back a couple days later bc 2 more nails broke and it was 8 dollars per nail to repair. It’s unprofessional for people to charge different prices at the same place. I don’t understand why it was 8 per nail when a gel set doesn’t equal out to 8 per nail but I guess a lot of black owned businesses tax on prices. + They charge 5 dollars for shape to fill nails that are already shapped. It doesn’t make sense.
