I don’t know what happen but once the pandemic happen they haven’t been the same since last. I’ve had better customer service and pedi done here. But 2 weeks ago was my last and not recommending this to anyone else. The 2 main women was on their phone like the phone was their customers. They would stop in the middle of doing your feet to talk on the phone. They overcharged $25 extra maybe because of the pandemic to make up money but if my service wasn’t as good to charge me $51 I don’t want it. I can get better customer service and pedi elsewhere that’s less pay and worth it.

This place is okay..... Some staff here needs better customer service and to work on doing nails more instead of complaining about what customers want. I feel like if YOU do not know how to do certain designs on nails..... Then go to the back like all the rest do and practice on your manikin hand 🤷🏽💁🏾

No star! service was horrible nail tech was very rude after waiting for over an hour for services only to get to his chair and him not understanding what I was asking and instead of him saying no I cant do that or I dont understand what your asking he tells I can get out his chair and wait for someone else I went back to the waiting area and he told another tech to service me and that tech Said they were leaving and he proceeded to go out the door and the other tech went back to his station no one came to me to tell me anything. So again the service is not worth the wait or my money

I love them. They are always fast and strive for perfection. Clean and friendly. If you want any design they can do. I like my nail simple. However they can go big if you ask.

The worst ever...... they are rude and nasty. Kelly use super glue on your lashes. Also my eye was infected for two weeks smh. My nails came out horrible... I AM WARNING YALL TO STAY AWAY!!!

This is the best place to do your nails, I went today for a French tips, they take care me righ a way, no appointment, two hands down, I love it, they know what they are doing, I am totally satisfied with the service, please ask for Anthony, hes the best, very polite and I can see he has a lot of experience. DEFINITELY Ill come back AGAIN. Even if it take me 45 minutes driving, its worth it..

I got my nails done Saturday . The entire time I was getting my nails done I told the nail tech that I was unhappy with my nails and he still continued . They made me pay for awful work and told me to come back Monday . I came back and they tried to say I didn’t come . And then told me they would charge me to take off and redo !!!! . SAVE YOUR MONEY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I normally go to Q nails and my nail Tech there couldnt see me so I went here to Jays nails and Henry quickly fat me asked me what I wanted and gave me a manicure and Polished my toes to perfection not only did he do a better job than my old Nail Tech he perfected my nails and my toes and it cost a whole lot less Henry you are the bomb and I am very pleased with my nail and my toes!!! #Henrymynewnaildiva

If I could give them a 0 star... I would. I paid $75 for a poorly done full set. My nails are uneven and I asked the lady to remove the nail and put another nail tip on and she said no it was too late. very unprofessional. She also never removed the last set she just put more tips on top.0/10 would not recommend or ever go back.

I do not recommend this place for mink lashes. I specifically asked in lash extensions would be attached strand by strand to every lash, Kelly assured me she had been in business over 15 years and that she knew what she was doing. My lashes were applied in clusters of glue. Its very painful and itchy, weighs down heavily on the eye. The removal process is literally ripping out my natural eye lashes. My regular lash tech was booked and someone suggested this place to me. I called before hand and asked to set an appointment and was told they take appointments by walk ins, first come first serve. I waited over an hour, she purposely took her regular customers before me then botched my services. If you are a woman of substance and require quality service I wouldnt recommend you wasting your time or money.

Never going again. Although they were nice, my nails were not symmetrical. Some when I looked in the light were thicker than others with acrylic. I do not usually like to complain. My cousin recommended it so I thought it would be good. It smells really bad in there little to no ventilation system and super cluttered. If a fire broke out we would all die almost no moving space. They should really think about a bigger space and at least open a door.

Everybody need to be fired, can’t shape or do nails correctly for nothing especially the men

I loved coming here but the staff are rude and inconsistent with their work. The younger staff is fine but the older staff are beyond rude. I pay $100-$125 everytime I go. I told them my nail was messed up when I was there, they gave me $5 discount. The nail messed up the same day and when I came back to get it fixed they told me I had to pay $10 but that I probably still wouldnt be satisfied. I have overheard several customers complain about this exact same thing.

To have the reputation as one of the best nail salons in the state of NC and in the Southeast area, the customer service was horrible.You should at least look at your customers and acknowledge them . I will never be back at Jays Nails ever again. Very bad first impression.

This is going to be the realist comment ever posted. I’ve been going to Jay Nails for almost 9 years and not once have I had a single problem. Some of the reviews posted are kinda iffy. First off the service is wonderful. I know the family personally and they make you feel welcomed. If you are getting service and don’t like something LET THEM KNOW .. also if you leave and something is wrong they will fix it. Secondly Jay does my nails and has ALWAYS SLAYED MY NAILS. I get sooo many compliments regarding my nail work. So many people want to hop and skip from different nail techs. Find one that you like and stick to them. Jay has done my nails 7 out of the 8 years. Third Jay Nails is one of the top recommended nail salon in Greensboro. Just because bad seeds come in does not mean the salon is like that. Fourth the business is operated by family so if they are taking in their language chances are they aren’t arguing. I just wish people stop assuming stuff and know the facts. Jay Nails is my home and I will NEVER leave them ever!

Excellent customer service they get to you in a timely manner. They do eyebrows, eyelashes, waxing, and sell quality hair. They offer you something to drink. I just think Ive had an excellent experience. They have a variety of colors and styles. They keep up with the trends and times. I had sns and usually to get that off you put cotton with nail polish remover and wrap with your nail in tin foil but instead the lady used an acrylic nail to take them off and broke 4 of my nails then when she went to file my nails she she didn’t round or fix the tips but left look liking the top of squares and they were sharp... I told her I wanted white JUST WHITE and when we started she insisted that I got a silver glitter accent nail and I said sure could it looked decent but then when she finished she started pressing this good stuff on my middle fingers and she didn’t even ask she just did it then she put a pink and gold butterfly on my middle finger to and put several several coats of nail polish on top and when we were done I started to wash my hands and the butterfly started coming off so I just kept picking at it cause it’s not like I wanted it there.. I just don’t like how they do stuff with out permission or insist on something

Going to Jay’s Nail & Spa is a test of patience! For the most part, I’m satisfied with my nails, but that’s only if I survive the long waits, other customers cutting in front of me and the not-so-happy attitudes of the nail techs.

I use to go here back in 2012 and I stopped going because my nails were popping off entirely too fast compared to other nail salons. Well I decided to give them a try due to my personal nail tech being booked that Friday, May 25, 2018 and I was there at 10am and there was only 2 nail techs. The both had appointments so other customers along with myself had to wait until 11:30am for the other nail techs to arrive. I got my nails done but I’m not sure if the tech was rushing but there were spots in each nail. She tried to use a different gel polish but the same spots remained and she stated it was due to the acrylic. She told me to come back next Friday because she only works Friday & Saturday. I didn’t even make it to Friday before one of my nails popped off. I am a stay at home wife so there is no reason my nails should be popping off so fast. I will continue to go to TJ Nails where my nails remain in tack for at least 2 weeks and my paint does not have spots. This place need to hire reliable nail techs. I didn’t leave until about 2:00pm. A waste of my money and day.

I love Jays Nails which is a reason I did not give them a horrible review. From the very sweet and friendly staff to them actually caring about the outcome of your service youll love this nail salon. As long as you dont go on the weekend. Youll be rushed out and your service will be done quickly. I broke a nail the next day and a piece of my eyelash fell off. Just try and avoid the weekend rush. Other than that I would give them a million stars.

Just nowI have went to this salon for years. I get mad stop going and then find myself back there again.. One of the best techs there has the nastiest attitudes ever. I will not discredit her work but there lack of customer service needs to be known!!! She raised her voice at me for asking a question, she overcharged and could have care less. They are unorganized and could have a more sterilized environment as much busines as they get. I see a lot of the regular clients dont go there anymore and I understand why now. Find a place that cares about you as a customer and not just wanting to take your money without providing that customer satisfaction!! I have had eye infections from the lashes and other little issues. And yes I went back because I thought she (they)was the best in town only to find with a little research there are way better techs out here that do lashes as well and provide great customer service too. They get comfortable with you and dont respect you as the customer.. Beware...

Worker had a bad attitude. Didn’t want to finish my nails because i wanted my nails a certain way. Got upset because he cut my nail to a length i did not want so he had to take them off. Then said he didn’t wanna do my nails because he “don’t got time for this”. Who says that to a costumer who is paying THEIR own money for nails that they want!?? Very rude. Will not support a business who has nasty workers.

My first visit. No wait time and although the nail tech was very attentive to what I desired, not the quality I am accustomed.to when I was living in Virginia. Overall, satisfied and Ill return again for full service for another opportunity since they came highly recommended.

I had got a full set gel and paid 35 and was told it would be extra for color. Color is apart of the price....I thought. So I left with plain nails. And the nails needed extra acrylic, it was VERY thin. A few days later some nails are lifted. Never will be back. Ive heard about Jays for a long time and I heard they are good. Maybe I got into the wrong hands. Expensive bad work will not be back

Great techs. However its always busy as soon as door opens. They are always fussing with each other so if you cant look passed that type of thing find another spot. However best Ive found in that area of Greensboro.

I went to Jay’s to get a full set and the nail tech who did my nails, one nail was completely crooked and used the emery board when filing my nail so hard, rubbed a raw spot on my finger. They also tell you what you want instead of doing what you asked them to do. Will not be going back there.

Last few times I came was good, but this lady messed up my coffin nails. They look like crooked uneven shapes. She didn’t file good. Paint was on my cuticle. She demanded I also pay before painting. I told her I can pay after she said NOW! Everyone else was paying at the register when they were done. I swear It just ruined my experience here I won’t be back and I’ll let all my clients know. She was laughing the whole time and talking to her family/coworkers etc. 20 thumbs down.

Ive been going to Jays since Ive moved here in October. The first time I went my nails were ok, but not what I would call a good job, so I tried another tech and was satisfied. My problem with this salon is their pricing varies. I understand a lil variation due to maybe a design, gel polish etc. Just always make sure you get a price breakdown. 2 yrs later i no longer go to Jays. There was a really rude male technician. I was there before they opened, I got my pedicure, and was referred to him by the technician who did my pedicure. I had him to look at the shape of my nails before he started the fill-in. After he started the fill-in he still asked what shape. Well I didnt know the proper name I tried describing it.. He got upset and The tech that would usually do my nails told him the proper name which was almond. He then proceeded to tell me to wait on another tech. I had been there since they opened and didnt feel I had to wait any longer. I paid for the services I did get and went to another salon.

First and last time client... I went in for a fill in but figured it may be a new overlay as I told the lady doing my nails... She acts as if she understands but is about to put acrylic on top of my gel polish... I let her know it has to come off and we can do a new overlay. She proceeds to take it off ALONG WITH MY REAL NAILS...and very much unevenly. I tell her I dont like how I have 3 SHORT nails... She tells me she doesnt do long overlay but its not about them being long its about I now have nubs... She gets loud to tell me that I had tips on and calls the manager over to look at what She tore off... Only to have him tell her that under the gel was my REAL nail n peeled it off to show her... So now shes 😠...all rough with my nails n burning them. I let the manager know shes not doing my nails and I will wait... Sooo in the end I got TERRIBLE customer service MEDIOCRE nails and a $40 tab for this wonderful experience n I dont mind paying the $40, but wheres the customer service 😕... Nope I didnt even argue about paying full price for a bunch of mess...and oh yeah this took 2.5 hrs 😒 cant u see how pleased I am... So yeah... Thanks

I got my nails done a week ago. I paid $55 for SNS with tips + ombré. 6 nails fell off a little after a week and I’m never going back. I don’t know if it’s their glue but I’m so disappointed. They looked great but didn’t last long.

Couldn’t get a short notice appt with my regular nail tech so I went to J’s. The tech did not listen or do as I asked. She cut too many corners and my nails look like it. It got to the point where I had to question her before every step to make sure she was doing what I asked and she still managed to mess it up. I actually had to stop her from drilling the UNDERSIDE of my nail...my natural nail. She also kept talking down about other people and their work. Not cool. The staff was loud and unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment with my regular lady on my way out the door.

Very bad customer service will never go again. Had them do two people who came after me eyebrows first . When I finally did get them done was rushed and when i called to tell them how they were falling off the next day and had spaces . They told me they never had that issue before and I would have to pay again . I also paid for the to do gel polish on my sisters nails & regular polish on my sister toes and not even a day later is chipping . just horrible!

I went a few months ago and the lady giving my pedicure put the wrong polish on my toes. I went back and had her fix it seeing how my service costed $100 and I left a $20 tip. Now Ive been back twice since and this lady sits in there trash talking me the whole time assuming I dont know she is doing it. They clearly doesnt appreciate my business and the fact that I tip well and spend $80 to $100 every time. Im done giving them my business. Its a terrible feeling to sit through my pedicure knowing what she is doing. That translator app is the best.

My friend referred me to this shop because shes been coming here for 10years plus. Unfortunately this isnt the place to welcome new comers. I havent had my nails done in quite a while but I always get my feet done. It was my first time at this business and their customer service is horrible!! Starting with Jays girlfriend who was the only one who could help translate my questions about the new style of nails. She acted as if it was a problem to ask her and her nasty attitude anything. She has some nerve with her drawn on eyebrows. So its only been 3 days and the paint already started chipping off my nails. Im not the type to complain Im just particular about how I spend my money and the quality of the product or services I receive. I will not be coming back here in two weeks or let alone ever!! Posting a bad review on every review I can with them

The nail tech that started my daughters nails got up... went to the back and had her hair dyed by the staff from the salon two or three stores down in the same plaza. She walked back through shaped up someones eyebrows and never returned. Another nail tech (who also seemed shocked of the disrespectful service) had to finish with the client they had and offered to complete my daughters nails. My daughter arrived at 5:30, seated about 6:45-7:00 was not completed until 9:00...Never again

If I could rate them -5 I would. I am SO ANGRY. I went to get my false eyelashes taken off yesterday and asked to put another set on, and the lady started RIPPING OUT MY EYELASHES!!!!!!! To be fair, I should NOT HAVE LET HER do that because its supposed to be done with some kind of OIL, not RIPPING IT OUT. my eyelids were bruised, red, and I left the place BAWLING MY EYES OUT. I ran to another place to get them fixed right afterwards, and 3 hours and $160 bucks later I still have NO eyelashes. Thank you Jays Nails, for making me look like a naked mole rat. It will take months for them to come back, if they ever do.

I went here and Kim was the one who done my nails... what I asked for was pretty simple. I have never had worse nails that what I have now. I spent 40 on some uneven, sideways nails! I told her to fix one of them that I caught while I was in the store, but my nails all look uneven, the gel nail polish I have on looks horrible, my middle finger, thumb, and my ring finger are different sizes one hand its long the other is short, my pointing is sideways and the way theyre all shaped is different! Every last one of them. They dont even feel like a fresh set, they feel like theyre all about to fall off. I have never been so pissed off about my nails ever. She will never be touching my nails again if I decide to go back.

I gave myself a couple months to get over this horrible experience I had, in hopes that I wouldnt feel the need to write this review however this particular incident still gets me angry.A couple months back I was going pretty regularly. I had moved and at this point the drive there was inconvenient but I felt like it was worth the drive and the wait. I started to get to know Jay and his brother and had never felt disappointed until one early morning I set an appointment specifically for Jays brother to give me a brand new acrylic set. I got there as soon as they opened and still had to wait 30 minutes for someone to even awknolodge me. They opened the shop but they had been clearly unprepared for people to be coming in. I then get seen by a woman, I tell her multiple times that I have an appointment and I didnt want her to do my nails. With Jays brother no where to be found, the woman then told me that she would start on my nails while I wait. 20 minutes into cutting and removing my old set of nails, he finally walks in. At this point he is an hour late. He did not apologize to me, instead he told me that the woman who was already taking care of me was excellent at what she does and that I will not be disappointed. With the little faith I had I decided to trust his word. BAD DECISION. Not only did she cut my cuticle till it was bleeding, I also had to tell her the very simple thing that I wanted 5 different times. And with all of that being said and done, my nails looked HORRIBLE. I wish I had taken a photo so I could show you all because words cannot describe the kind of paint job she did. I wanted sparkly silver tips on my square acrylic nails. She first started painting my nails all in silver then I had to tell her again I only wanted the tips done. She then rushed through it with frustration and each finger came out thicker and/or thinner then the rest, crooked and uneven. Furious as I was I still ever so kindly left a tip and swore to never go back again.After telling many of my friends this story they all reported back to me telling me they have had horrible service as well.Do not waste your time and money going here.
