So, I came from out of town for a wedding. After working 6 days of 12h shifts in the days immediately before my trip, I didnt have time to get a manicure needed for the bridal party. I wanted a basic mani with french tips and a color change on my toes. I just needed quick and basic. Calling in, I got pricing from a nice gentleman but when I arrived, my nail tech had a hard time understanding what I was looking for. We sorted it out in the end but she did a mediocre job. It was just ok. Again, I wanted basic but I expected basic done well. Also, the tech spent a lot of the time trying to upsell me with gel polish. I kept declining and then she basically said that if I leave and mess up the color they cant fix it because I didnt get gel. I was annoyed by this and wanted to leave but in my need to get this one thing taken care of and off my plate, I stayed.Overall, it wasnt a bad experience. I would still recommend this place because in observing the work they did with other customers getting more complex services, they really do a good job. If I were to get a full manicure and pedicure or gel, I wouldnt hesitate to visit here. The decor is nice and the space is very clean and organized. They did a great job setting up a serene space in a small plaza. I, personally, just wasnt impressed in this instance.

I asked for coffin shaped nails not curvy nails and this is what I got. First the nail tech didn’t shape or file my nails smooth (seen in pic) then when I asked them to fix it they had me pay first (nails weren’t even polished) saying it’s there policy! Now my nails are polished and you can see how the polish made my nails looked extra big and lumpy, the manager had the audacity to tell me that every nail tech is different and has different style?!!! I’m a paying customer and if I’m not happy then fix it! Lesson learned! I will never come back here! WASTE OF MONEY! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND RUN! They don’t care about customers satisfaction they only care about the money!!!!

I was told that they could start my pedicure within 10mins ended up waiting over 1 hour. 3 ladies came in after me (1 for full set 2 for pedicure all 3 had no appointment and was service before me. the manager (guy) was very rude to a lady because she asked him to correct a nail. He call her rude and told her her kind was not welcome if they cannot be respectful.

I brought my daughter to the area for a Mommy/Daughter weekend and they were the closest to our hotel. From the outside, it looked like any ordinary stripmall mail salon. But then you go inside and your expectations immediately rise. The salon set up is quite different from any nail salon Ive ever been. They have two types of manicure chairs and a centrally located nail bar, yes I said bar. Anyway, my daughters 11 so this was her first mani/Pedi experience and Im glad it was. All technicians wore a uniform smock and the service was very friendly! They used oils and heated stones which was very different. Especially when they placed them between my toes. My daughter loved every minute of it. The biggest pro: they use new clean supplies and give them to you to bring back on your next visit. The salon was a little muggy but was otherwise a great experience.

I would have done a 5-star if the girl as soon as I was getting ready to leave would have not said next time you give me tip I do not carry cash so I was not able to give her a tip I would have gave her a tip if there was a line when signing for my bill. I am not happy my nails are starting to peel off and it was just yesterday that I had these nails done I took my nail polish off and sure enough I have bubbles underneath my nail where my nails are literally getting ready to pop off!

Omg I love love love this place but they are very very pricey! If you just want an amazing experience book here but if youre on a budget I wouldnt recommend it.

My 1st visit was in 2013 and Ive always had great service. The last couple of times Ive not been pleased with my nails and my daughter wasnt pleased as well. I didnt really see the mistake until I was outside in the sunshine.

Good work.. they did calculate my total wrong so it was frustrating because they had to charge my card for an additional $5.. that was a little annoying but besides that it was pretty decent

God help them or me or whomever. It was not good. So...I walk in, sign in and tell them what I want. They direct me to the pedi chair without giving me time to pick a color. Im like, Wait, but... The lady handed me 2 strips of gel nail colors and Im like I just want reg polish. Shes like, ok So I pick the only color I remotely like off the strips. Its a glittery blue. When I tested the water it was HOT. Most of the time, they ask if its ok. They didnt. So as soon as I put my foot in I jerk it out and am like, Ooo that is a little hot. So she does something. Nothing. She finally gets it ok but it took a good while. Then they give me the sns basket to look through. Their selection wasnt bad, or so I thought. I picked out 2 colors (I always do 2) and shes like Pick one Im like, Um no I want both... She tried to tell me to pick one again and Im like These 2. So shes just like ok finally. 🙄 Then the lady that is going to do my nails comes over to soak them. She put them in a cup to soak. I ended up picking melted sns off my hands for the next day or so. So she goes to find the colors I asked for, also seeming annoyed I picked 2 (like Ive never seen anyone question this before, I see women pick 2 all the time and thats what I always get) She then comes back and says the ones I picked were gel not sns, making it seem like it was my bad for picking the gel colors (that were in the sns basket). My hands are soaking now so I cant exactly flip through colors. She goes to the gel color bin and grabs 2 strips of colors of sns. I then pick 2 colors that were close to what I picked the first time but not quite what I wanted but whatever by this point, right? So when she finally starts doing them Im looking at them like, I picked a sparkly teal and thats definitely a dark blue, but whatever. Its not a bad color. Ill live with it. She mentions how pretty the color is. I tell her its pretty but not what I picked laughing it off. She shows me the number and is like thats what you picked. I was like nope I picked 133, thats 137 but its ok, no biggie. she also didnt use the base powder on the bottom or top so I have a feeling I wont get my usual 3-4 weeks out of them. The SNS itself has cracks in it and the top coat they used was terrible. Its chipping off like polish would. Oh and she asked if I wanted my eyebrows done. Rude. If I wanted them done, I would have said so.Back to my pedi. I wasnt offered any pedi type choices. I usually pamper myself and go for the higher end ones so their loss. 🤷‍♀️ Big note: Im not sure if their tools are sterilized or not. They werent in autoclave bags (I do know places can just put them in bags and not sterilize them but if youve ever worked with autoclaves you know the signs to look for that they have been.) These were in a basket in her drawer and Im almost certain she put them back in the drawer. Ironically I do know the file and buffer were new as they said if I come back (I wont) to bring that back with me or theyll charge $1 for new ones. So then I look down as shes finishing up my toes (I had been focusing on my nails) and I see my big toe is a hot mess. The polish was lumpy. Theres a reason I dont do my own toes. The reason is theyd look like that! So I politely asked if she could redo that one. She kept looking at it like she didnt see what was wrong with it. At that point I probably got a little snarky cause I was annoyed at her trying to act like she didnt see the issue. (If I could see it from where I was, I knew for sure she could see it.) Im pretty sure I told her my daughter could have done them better than that...when she was 5, though maybe I kept that thought in my head. I honestly dont remember. Anyway, she took it off and had the young girl next to her repaint it. She did an OK job. The polish was super thick. (Remember its the one that matches the gel polish of the same color, not what I would have normally picked)Pics are 1 week after having them done.

I have absolutely had it with this salon after giving them too many chances. The owner of the nail salon charged me $53 for gel full set, which isn’t bad accept I normally pay around $30-$40 for the gel powder and reg polish, but I was told I had to get gel polish. They’re supposed to last a month and they’re already starting to lift and it’s been a week. The owner likes to debate rather than do his job, so I have ignored it but poor service and quality, constantly telling the customer why you’re charging them extra for something that has nothing to do with you vs giving me a reasonable set price, every time I’ve been here I’ve paid a different price. Check out Valentino’s Nail Bar 🗣 way better experience! Don’t even waste your time here.

I came on October 15 to get a Pedicure and gel on my nails. the technicians were very rude and they were clearly talking about me in their native language in front on me. I asked to have a different technician do my nails, and the manager was very rude and disrespectful. They’re very unprofessional and I would not recommend anyone to spend their money there. Do better.

I got SNS nails for the first time ever and Crystal was super sweet and professional. I was scared of getting my nails done at a salon because Im not a fan of the chunky nail look that I often see, but they turned out great!! Im very happy with my experience and would recommend this salon to others.

The first time I came it looked like as if they put some play dough on it and so the next day I came I asked to get them fixed and they said if I wanted to get a re-do then I still had to charge them not to mention they were hurting me many times. And lastly they asked for tip even tho they did poorly.

Went in for eyebrow waxing like I have done several times. The price is posted as $8 on the website, menus, and the wall in the waxing room. While washing my hands I was approached by my tech and she asked if I wanted a pedicure. I declined and she suddenly seemed to have a bit of an attitude during the rest of the sign in process. The tech waxed 1 brow then informed me the price was $11 and asked was it okay to keep going. What was I supposed to say no thank you? I asked why she didnt say that before we started and why all the signs said $8 if the prices had gone up. She laughed and said is due to COVID. Keep in mind I have been there since they reopened after COVID and this wasnt the case then. Very disappointed to be treated like that. She did do a good job on my brows thats the only reason I left more than 1 star but I wont be going back. I dont like feeling taken advantage of.

Nail Tech rushed through doing my gel nails & was clearly going to leave the polish on my skin until I spoke up. I have been going to this salon for a few years now & have never had an experience like this. Next time I go back I will make an appointment with Tina (she done a terrific job on my brows).

Leon did my nails and it was the WORST! The work was lumpy and NOT smooth! He didnt even file around the cuticles, leaving the part around the cuticles lumpy with dips in the middle of my nail.I kept telling him to file it and smooth out the dips. The but all he did was buffer it. I would have insisted more but its already #Georgr Floyed up in here and I didnt want a repeat of NY with only 3 Black women in the salon. Needless to say, I wont be going back.

My bridesmaids and I all had our nails done at Bebe Nails & Spa before my wedding. This place has an extensive selection of colors, and a lovely staff. My nails were perfect, and my no chip manicure was in great shape even after two full weeks. Highly recommend.

Short wait time so that was good. But customer service was basically non existent. A woman in there long before me had been there for hours without help! I had a simple manicure so I was in and out but there was no conversation, it was basically just give us your money, here you go, goodbye. Unsure of when they were done with me so I hesitantly left. No goodbye, thank you or anything. Made me feel stupid when I didnt understand what they were asking me since I very rarely get my nails done. I came here one time before and it was better service so maybe it was just this day? Either way I would try another place before here.

Ive been here at least 5 times now, and I always leave satisfied with whoever does my nails. The place gets pretty crowded but Im usually in and out in less than 1 hour! Definitely recommend First Nails

The ONLY reason why I am giving 5 stars is because of TINA, she is absolutely AMAZING and the ONLY reason I continue to come to this salon. I’ve been coming here since before these owners took over (at least 15 years) and it use to be a great environment but now most of the staff are rude and any time you say your unhappy with your nails or asked for something to be fixed they act like it’s the biggest inconvenience. Last time they TRIED to get me to pay 2$ for each of the two nails I wanted fixed because they were not only crooked but an uneven length when compared to my other nails. But back to Tina, she’s amazing always dose what I ask and makes sure that I’m happy with her services. I will continue to come to Tina for pedis but not sure if I’ll be back for a full set again.

Found this place on Labor day and it was an amazing experience. Very friendly staff and helpful. I dont get my nails done often but they were there to answer any questions I had. Ended up with pedi, nails, and eyebrows done and the price was reasonable. My friend and I have definitely found our permanent place! Ive been coming here for years and even simple colors on my nails are brought to life because of the attentiveness from the staff. Worst experience ever... kept telling the tech my nails arent shaped right their huge and bulky look like friggin bananas and I will never go back...i use to go a while back and got a new tech the only reason i went was because my tech was booked if you want beginners on your hands by all means stop by wish there was a 0 stars option☹

I was looking for another salon as I am new to tha area and oh boy!!! They did not disappoint. LEON was amazing I showed him a picture and he for it down to a point. They give you your OWN PERSONAL files and if you bring them back for 7 times you get 5$ off of your service over 15$. I expect excellence as I pay good money for it. Well they didn’t disappoint. I turned around and my daughter walked in too.

My hunt for a good nail place ends. I think I found my favorite. Once I enter the nail salon its very warm and inviting. The teachnicans all seem to be really meticulous about their work which is much appreciated. My mani came out perfectly with no flaws. I feel happy every time with my nails. Already booked my next one with them.

My first time going, my daughter and I were greeted and seated. I waited on my service while my daughter got her nails done. While waiting, a nail tech came and put 5 tips on my nails and walked away. 3 people came in after me and were seated and serviced. After waiting for more than an hour I decided to pay for my daughters service and go, not only did the owner charge me for her, but tried to charge me for placing tips (no acrylic/gel/ polish etc..) on my nails. Needless to say, I wont be returning.

THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I waited 2 and a half hours to be charged $50 for uneven and crooked Nails. The woman next to me got six different gel colors and was only charged $40. They specifically overcharged me this is the worst nail salon in the history of nail salons. Do not under any circumstances go here

I absolutely will NOT be coming back. As i waited for my pedi, they kept putting others that had arrived after me, before me. The lady that did my eyebrows RUSHED through and did not do them properly. She only waxed them and called it a day, no detailed plucking nor trimming. The old man kept snatching my money out of my hand and caught an attitude because i could not understand what he was saying. I also think, in my opinion that $15 for gel on your toes is RIDICULOUS. The lady that did my toes only did one coat so i can still see my toe nail. She also cut my toes nails and in all different lengths again, i will never be back. A waste of time and money !!!

Over the years I have searched for the right nail salon. Many places I would have to get a fill in almost every week due to the lifting of the acrylic but since I have started coming here my fill ins last for two weeks. I love Tina, she does a very good job on my pedicures and ensures that she caters to anything that I need. I have finally found my nail salon after years and years of searching.

A post I’ve been holding off on sharing, been coming to first nails for almost 7 years. Tina has always been good to me, does the best eyebrows around. Within the last 5 times I’ve gone there I had to wait close to an hour every time for service, it’s quite sad. I understand busy times, but it got to the point it didn’t matter when I’d come. Even with an appointment, I was waiting 45 minutes. Tina won’t even acknowledge me anymore, it’s heart breaking. The last time when I went to get eyebrows done, they were done soooooo poorly. All the wax was put on at once top and bottom and on both eyes, it was so overwhelming when she went to go rip and they looked awful. I miss the salon before they got so much business, they need to accommodate for the increased demand, the 7 techs aren’t cutting it. Sadly, I have left the salon.

Best Mani&Pedi Ive had in years! Very friendly staff, the disign I wanted wasnt an issue, I loved the hot rocks & the price is very fair. Overall experience was amazing, very refreshing. I feel good about myself again & will definitely be returning!

I am very satisfied with my services most of the time here and I have been a long time customer. I do feel that the service is slipping due to short staffing and efforts to give new nail techs customers. I had three services done totaling 70 with tip. I paid and then shared with the manager that I was not satisfied and that I faulted them for rushing my tech once the salon started filling up. He offered to reshape my nails if I was willing to wait. I agreed. Then as I waited, his wife proceeded to let me know with a raised voice that she did not rush the nail tech and that she was only checking on her. Im not sure what was said because of the language barrier, but I do know that I am not going to pay someone to yell at me defending poor services.I will go back but only if I can get Tina.I recommend an appointment if you want top service and a good time frame. Walk in service is poor.

The first time I went to this nail salon I had a good experience, but I walked out very upset. I initially came in for just a fill-in then when the lady started on my nails she told me I needed a completely new set (keep in mind I just got a full set two weeks ago) Nonetheless I didn’t necessarily have a problem with her replacing them as long as I received what I wanted. So she proceeds to remove my oldish nails and puts new tips on. I showed her the picture of the shape I wanted and she said she was able to accomplish it ( it was a very SIMPLE shape, a narrow square). Then she left and told me that it would only be another 10 min wait for someone to finish my nails. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes before someone finally finished my nails.So the next lady comes and I showed her the picture of what I wanted and she said it could be done. After she done putting the acrylic on and shaping I notice that my pointer finger is completely shorter and narrower than the other, along with one thumb being shorter than the other. But I did my best to let it go.This is where I really get upset. Once I’m done washing my hands she tells me $30!!!. Mins you I didn’t ask the lady previously to remove anything but I said if the old ones needed to be removed than that’s fine as long as it WASNT a EXTRA CHARGE. But I went ahead and paid the $30. Then she gets to painting my nails and after she’s finished there is polish and acrylic ALL OVER my nail bed.NEVER have I left a nail salon this upset. Never going again !

Walk-ins are welcome! It is rare to find a nail salon where the employees treat customers like royalty. The man who greeted me kindly walked me to pick out a nail color, then I was invited to sit in the massage chairs while I waited for someone (instead of sitting in the waiting chairs!). So nice. Then a few minutes later I was introduced to my nail technician, Tina, who is one of the most friendly nail technicians! She kept a big smile on her face and gave me the best treatment I have ever received for a spa pedicure! The whole staff was kind, hospitable, and seriously puts their customers first. I would highly recommend First Nails to anyone in the Greensboro area!

Not sure what the other person is talking about Tip signs everywhere. I was looking to see if saw one by the drying fans on a small card, one! And not all over the place.I tend to be picky about my toe nails bc one I’m annoying and 2 I’m ticklish but the lady who helped me (sorry didn’t ask name) was gentle and efficient. I will come back again.

Management was extremely rude to me when I was half way through my pedicure when I noticed it was unsatisfactory. If she missed a spot with polish she would just cut the nail. I had different shaped toenails. Then to top it off.... they charged me full price! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Did I mention I had been going to this place for over 10 years! Thats how they treated a repeated customer.

I went there because some co-workers said they had a good experience. I have a regular salon but since I was so close after work I decided to try them. It is a very picturesque salon. I was looking forward to relaxing. When I arrived they asked if I wanted something to drink. I choose hot tea. I was immediately sat down to begin my fill-in (only customer at the time) My FILL-IN took about an hour and a half. Even though I had two repairs that was quite a long time. In that time she filed my nail so hard she cut me TWICE! On each of my index fingers. I was bleeding a small bit and I asked her for some PEROXIDE she pulled out a small blue bottle and put a drop on my cuts IT BURNED!. I asked what was that she showed me but I was extremely upset. I asked for peroxide so it would NOT hurt. On top of it all when it was time to pay, there was no compensation for the cut fingers and ON TOP of it all I was charged at additional $2 because she considered my nails to be long. If there is a n extra charge for longer nails, I should have been told in the beginning. But since she mistakenly cut my (I hope it was a mistake) She should have waived that fee. It was just not a good experience I will not be back and I also will not recommend my guest to go to their salon either.

Well I hate the shop. However I did appreciate the water/tea offer lmao. And CINDY should be giving out water! not messing up everyone’s nails -.- Never returning!

Love the staff - they do excellent work every visit

We are from out of town, Michigan and we came into Greensboro for a wedding. We decided to get our toes done for the wedding and found First Nails that is close to the hotel. They accommodated the 7 of us that were walk-ins and their service was far exceeded our expectations! Amazing service! Very clean and updated. Crystal did my Pedi and she was awesome! Thank you First Nails!
