Once again Rent A Wreck customer service was great. This time I recommended my uncle there. They treated him great, put him in a 2019 Nissan Sentra while his car is in the shop. He is trying to decide if he wants a new car and if he enjoys this Nissan he may buy it from them. Great place to rent a vehicle and you can buy from them.

What a terrible company with bad service. Company is not open on Sunday and will charge a customer full price on Saturday even if the vehicle is picked up near closing time. I think this is bad practice when you dont even need the vehicle until Sunday. Seems like there should at least be a discounted price. In addition, my wife left her phone inside the rental. As she was transporting some of her things from the rental to her car, an agent locked the door. When she expressed to him that her phone was still in the car he refused to unlock it. Now I have to take time from what Im doing today and go get her phone. These people dont do good business. I rarely ever write bad reviews. Now, I see that this company does have some good ratings(No matter how few those are) and I cannot discredit the experience of others. The question you need to ask yourself is am I willing to take that risk? The choice is yours. Goodluck

Very professional, very quick & easy to rent a vehicle ! No credit check, no credit card! Just a utility statement and full coverage on your current vehicle! Definitely will be going back to them ! Oh an a refundable deposit that you get right back long as you bring the rental back in good condition. Highly recommended! The staff was very pleasant to work with.

Im submitting this review on behalf of my husband and myself. He was in a situation where he needed a vehicle immediately and other car rental companies were no help. He reached out to this company and explained his situation. An hour later they had him in a car and on the road!We needed a pickup truck a few weeks later. He was able to get one immediately and we were on our way. Overall this was a really good experience. This company came to our rescue twice! Its definitely worth it to try this company. I understand that the cars are also for sale. This may be an option if you are looking to purchase.

Staff was very unprofessional and rude. Went to get a rental for a week and brought all my right documents but keep getting inflated prices different from the initial online quote. After canceling the rental this company still charged my card $400 and told me I had to dispute it through my bank.

Someone called the office the day after I rented and scammed them into thinking I wanted extra days n they charged my card without verification that i wanted that. Bad service good cars tho

Rent-A- Wreck is also Monarch Auto sales! David is one of the kindest businessman I have ever met. My credit isnt the greatest. And I called to rent a car long term, and he asked do you want to buy a car? I did but I thought I wouldnt qualify, well that couldnt be further from the truth. Not only did I leave with a car, but it was a 2017 Hyandai Elantra, and it came with a great warranty!! I did have to put 15% down, but that was very reasonable. It was easy, he was a great experience, and I will be be recommending my clients to David as much as I can. My 14 year old loves the car too!

I recently contacted this location letting them know that I needed a 15 passenger van. The sales person verified what I needed and gave me pricing. He then took my information and stated that he would call me back as soon as he was done with the customer in front of him to set up my reservation. An hour later, I had not heard from him so I called back only to find out that the passenger van had been rented out for the day after I requested. How disappointed am I?

Price was quoted over the phone and then was raised multiple times before I just refused to make a business deal. Sales people are unkind and deceptive. I would not recommend ever renting a wreck

Was told all i needed was insurance and money and id and when i got there the cross eyed man got rude and told me i had to have proof of address within last 30 days so i bring in 4 forms of address proof one being title work and he refused said it had to be a bill with an account number and date being rude dont ever go here they wanted 300 deposit just cause id wasnt greensboro would have been 150 if greensboro they bs

Recently rented a 15 passenger van. First thing we see wrong is the seat arm rest is badly cracked. This makes for a uncomfortable drive. Second thing was a little on me for not spotting on pickup but as soon as it started raining I noticed the van to be twitchy, the left rear tire was way below the tread wear indicators almost bald. I call the rental agent immediately and he said we look the over you should be ok?Third was the old wipers so bad I almost bought a pair myself, so hard to drive. Oh and a check engine light.

I was in a wreck at the beach which wasn’t my fault and they made me wait 2 weeks after the claim was closed to give me my 200$ deposit. NEVER GO THERE!!!

I am a frequent customer of Rent-A-Wreck. I have dealt with most of the employees here if not all of them. We have received nothing but friendly and courteous service from all of them. Even when we damaged the vehicle they did not say or do anything to make us feel guilty about it. In fact they work with us on paying the deductible. We are here today working with Alex and as always he is being professional courteous and friendly! By the way I am a former employee of Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I did not get fired and I left on the good terms!

I’ve did business with 4 people in the office. It was only 2 that was nice. I would not rent a car from them anymore. I was recommended people too them but after my terrible experience everyone said they would not rent there. They mess over my money, and I refuse too do business again. Thanks too Cedric for the rudeness, I would upload text messages but I’m not. I have voice records as well. I’m only 23, and don’t yell at me if I’m not yelling at you. Don’t call me a liar if you can’t prove too me anything. Plus don’t accuse me of wanting the y’all vehicle if I paid on my rental faithfully. I spend over $2000 in y’all cars probably the most someone ever did business with y’all. Only reason I rent too y’all because y’all took cash. But never in a million years will I do business with this location. It’s a way too talk to customers and the way y’all talk too me was very unprofessional.

My mother was found, and was badly decomposed. Being that I had to identify the body (which was in another state) I went online did everything that needed to be done and set the date for pick up. Working around my schedule I was to be there in the afternoon. THE BUILDING WAS SO HARD TO FIND I KEPT MISSING IT BECAUSE OF HOW IT WAS PLUS I WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA. I EVEN CALLED TO LET TGEM KNOW I WAS HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE PLACE THO MY GPS SAID I WAS BASICALLY THERE.... ANYWHO eventually I made it I parked in the wrong Parking lot and just walked.( It was next door) (once again im not familiar with the area AND I also called them). I get in the door. NO HELLO, HOW ARE YOU, HOW MAY WE HELP YOU( there were 3or4 people in the office) . NO TYPE OF GREETING/WELCOME. there attitude were nasty THEY DIDNT WANNA WORK THE PKACE WAS CLEARLY OPEN. I WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO COME INSIDE IF IT WASNT. THEY LOOKED AT EACH OTHER LIKE. I DONT FEEL LIKE HELPING HER. THEN LOOKED AT ME AND SAID WERE CLOSED mind you when I came in there they werent doing anything. A lady was at the desk eating something..... I explained to them my situation and how I really needed to get to my mother they didnt care. They was just quiet and looking around again (((NONSHILAUNT))) AND SAID WERE CLOSED.. Were a local band. We went there to rent a van because Enterprise closed at 12. The first negative experience was when he asked the associate how could he prove I still lived at my residence. I had to tell him weve owned our home since 2010. Then, he saw my ID confirming that.I added my husband to the rental contract as a driver. Isnt that what were supposed to do to make sure were both legal drivers? We used our own full coverage insurance. Which was also verified!Once we decided to use our bands credit card for the deposit but pay cash for the rental, the owner raised our deposit because he thought we were trying to run some kind of scam.Even with my husband and I using our insurance, showing our IDs and being drivers. I told him Id go to the ATM to get cash for the deposit. He said his deposits are based on his own personal decision.He needs to realize not everyone that comes there for rentals are crawling in on their hands in on their hands and knees begging for rentals because of bad credit. This was our first experience. This is our last experience with them. Even the person who told us about them will not be using them again. We will continue to use Enterprise from now on. Id rather pay for a good experience.

Very unprofessional. I recommend you go elsewhere. They will claim there is a problem with the car so that you are not refunded your deposit. Have spoken with several customers who have had the same issue with them. The attitude and behavior of the stocky, older gentlemen is unacceptable. Pay a more and go somewhere reputable.

David was extremely rude and non compassionate about his actions, if I could give this business rent a wreck in Greensboro nc no stars I Absolutely will without hesitation. I rented a car with this company and the car had tires that was an obvious safety hazard but because they “inspect” the vehicle before hand I trusted everything was fine. Will driving down a highway a tired exploded causing me to swerve off the road and nearly wreck the emotional distress i went through with that situation was unimaginable being a pregnant young woman on the side of the road panicking because of a near death experience, I purchased insurance with them for the rental wasn’t given a number for road side assistance Nor an actual insurance company so instead I contacted a employee of the business and was told to call a number that was an after hours number located on The keychain The after hours number was literally just a voicemail “leave a message and we’ll get back to you” after realizing that I wasn’t getting any help from this company I was forced to leave the car On the side of the highway because the car wasn’t equipped with anything to change the tire, it doesn’t end there the next morning when the office opened I called and explained I left a message on the after hours voicemail David replied “yeah I got it” That’s all he didn’t say sorry for the inconvenience or anything reassuring me that he actually cared that a paying customer nearly died behind the wheel of his faulty car then I went To explain that the tire was bald and threads was popping out when I had it inspected While I was on the side of the road in the rain and also was told by the inspector that not only was the tire faulty but it hadn’t been rotated either so the wheel was unable to come off to be changed his reply was “you probably hit a pothole and you probably bent the wheel And if you did you will not get your deposit and you will have to pay for the damages because the insurance don’t cover anything except collision” I fortunately was smart enough to take plenty of pictures and videos of the faulty wheel so he was upset that he was unable to lie about the damages that he claimed once we were in the office so instead he charge me a tow fee guess who’s tow truck it was you got it David “the dealership scammer” so he was able to charge me whatever he wanted not only that when I said to him in the office I need copies of everything for my attorney he called the police and said I was “disturbing his business” however lucky for me he also was scamming another customer that just so happens to work for a law firm so when the police got there I showed the pictures and videos and he strongly recommended me going to file against him because it was obvious what he was doing and I was told by many other customers that was also there not so happy about various complaints that this is what he do when I explained when the police was there that I could have lost my life because by the grace of god I miss hitting a eighteen wheeler truck which in a compact Toyota Yaris would have been fatal he called me and the other customer his words “dramatic” and laughed in our face even the officer had a look of disgust on his face with how this coward was dealing with his customers. I am going to spread the word everywhere not to do any type of business with this guy not even just renting a car but also so buying/financing a car With them and renting Uhaul (which was what the other customer was there about) he’s truly a despicable person I also noticed his most of his google reviews aren’t made by real customers.

I would not recommend, if you do come here I would only suggest keeping the car as long as you request in the main contract. I extended my rental for 2 more days and was told with an extension, you get an extra 100 miles per day. My beginning mileage was 37,402 and ended at 38,788. The man put that I was only allowed 700 miles, but with the 2 day extension it was supposed to go up to 900. This would have made my overage 486 miles versus 1386 miles. It’s $.20/mile if you go over and I was only supposed to be charged around $97.20 (not including tax) but $128.06 was taken out of my deposit instead. This, to me is a contract breach as well as theft. So I would not recommend getting any extensions or anything that could jeopardize you losing money.

I just went to my 50th High School Reunion. My car is,a 14 year old gas hog. The Nisson Versa I rented from here got 38.7 mpg at interstate speeds, and I never put more then 9.5 gallons in it. The service was quick and friendly, the car was clean and in great mechanical shape, and they brought me home after I turned the car back in. A great experience for me, all around. HIGHLY recommended. It was cheaper to drive then fly...

This is by fair the worst experience I have renting a car. I was not told amongst signing that I would get harassed just being an hour late!! I was not told that at the time of renting I had to make a choice at that moment for unlimited mileage or not unlimited mileage and was charged more for the miles. I was not told that if I leave my car overnight in the car lot that it would be TOWED!! David is an extremist that goes to the absolute worst case when dealing with customers probably due to one case and placing them all in the same boat. I feel this place needs a revamp of management and reality check before someone truly hurt them. No one rents a car, pays for tge rental and then come back to pick their car up from a tow lot because the manager thinks you aint going to pay him for the balance which was only $50 bucks..like if I did not care about my life I promise the anger level that I was on would have resulted in assault. Trust me I will not recommend this place to my worst enemy. And the employees you look stupid too because you work there.

My sister rented from this agency. After exchanging her first vehicle for faulty steering, she was in a fatal accident on the highway. When my mom went to inquire about the vehicle, David responded by telling her that all she lost was a daughter while he had lost a $10,000 car.
