Provided extra treatment just to up the bill. Never discuss with us on what treatments will be provided, nor how much those treatments would cost. After checking online to see how much other people pay for the same treatments, which are between $100-$200, we feel cheated, because we paid twice that!!! Stay away from this place. Did I mention poor customer service? Its about the worst customer service you can get. We just needed the treatment/visit notes for insurance purposes, and we were told the vet is too busy and cant provide it in a timely manner. Well, if thats the case, have less visits scheduled and spend some time on taking care of your current customers. FYI, first review I have written online ever, if I could I would have given zero stars.

Dima is amazing!!!!!!! I was reluctant to turn my pet over to anyone due to the fact that I treat my cat like the child I never had. She made me feel comfortable with her services. Her apparent love for animals shines through.

They were so quick and inexpensive so hard with no one else to help me for 2 days when my dog has kennel cough I am so thankful for their service and their kindness I would definitely recommend over every other emergency our service in the county

Dr Anderson, pet nurse Dima and their staff treat your pet as they would their own!We have been coming to Dr. Anderson for well over 20 years.We have a frenchy a very special breed not easy to care for HOWEVER, Dr A and Dima have ALWAYS given her the special attention and love she requires when she is there.Their prices are fair and quality of service and care is exceptional!

Very bad experience. The staff are very careless and irresponsible. My cat got spayed last Friday at Calaveras vet clinic. They asked me dropped off my cat by 8am and picked her up at 4pm. I called twice to check in how my cat worked and they told me she was doing really well. But when I finally picked her up they told me that she was in a very bad condition due to anesthesia allergy. She was totally freaked out. I was very disappointed at the miscommunication. They could tell me the truth sooner over the phone instead of tell me the truth when things could already have gone wrong. When I got home I found that a clip from ECG was left under my cats right foreleg which made me lose all trust of this vet clinic.

Im military, stationed out of country. I came home, and immediately took our dog here. We were seen by a Punjabi doctor, who collected samples for lab work on our dog and presceibed meds. This place prescribed high dosage, low amounts = $$.We were told results would arrive within 2 days. Almost a week later, no response about the results. When I pursued them, the doc said his lab results were fine, reluctant to provide paperwork. I had to return so my fam took over, and my dogs condition worsened.We tried a new Vet, they immediately did lab work to verify, and contacted here to compare, but turns out Calaveras never did the lab. My dog was prescribed high dosage of meds by Calaveras, which in turn was shutting his system down. Your methods were slowing killing my dog and trying to drain our pockets.We spent approximately $1k within 1 month just to see that your service was not worth my dogs life. Thats a form of positive perspective, enjoy your karma and all that entails. And please dont respond with some fictious message, attempting to personalize it by implementing my name in the message, when the template is the same for every customer. Glad to see the true care you provide for our military community.

We’ve taken our two cats and dog to Dr. Anderson for years and I can’t say enough how great he, Pam and the rest of the staff are!!! Their caring, knowledge and friendliness have helped us tremendously! 5 stars isn’t enough, if I could give 1000 stars I would! All I can say is if you’re looking for a Quality vet team led by an amazing Vet Dr., Calaveras Vet Clinic is the one!

My calls are never taken seriously. The woman who answered the phone laughed at the fact that my diabetic cat hasnt eaten for 2 whole days from his surgery and told me to keep feeding him treats. I reiterated that he was diabetic and cant have whatever I have in the fridge, then she told me she would ask the vet about it and call me back. 2 hours passed and I heard nothing. I went to my cats other vet who was able to help and offered more pain medication. I only went here because the extractions were cheap. There was never any follow up calls to see how hes doing. Also, his blood work took 3 days before I got the results prior to his dental and extractions.

Used to be great.Dr Anderson please dont retire and bring your old staff back.

Wonderful experience! When I first step through the doorway, I was greeted with beautiful smiles and great customer service. The place was very clean. The doctor was very knowledgeable and patient. Took time to get to know my English bulldog from head to toe. Even helped clean his ears. Dr. Anderson is amazing!!!! I’m forever grateful. I’m very picky when it comes to my dog. This place used to be good until the recent ownership change and turned into a $2,800 mistake.11/9/2020: took my pet there for dental scaling and polish ~$600. I picked up my pet 2 hours after they told me she was ready to go. When I got there, I noticed my pet was breathing heavily and didnt looked right, so I asked the doctor to take a look. Dr. Bajwa took a look and said she was fine.11/9/2020 Night-time: my pet did not look normal and was still breathing heavily, so I took her to Sage emergency and chest x-ray showed that she had pneumonia from the dental cleaning and needed to stay overnight for monitoring. The emergency visit was $1700 because Calaveras didnt noticed anything wrong with her when she was in the cage not doing well for 2 hours and the doctor didnt think there was anything wrong with her when I asked.11/10: Call Calaveras and spoke to the office manager and explained the issue. The office manager apologized, but said the Dr. Bajwa is out of the office until Thursday and that shell have the doctor call me first thing Thursday morning to see what they can do about the emergency bill.11/12: Thursday - no call from the doctor11/17: I called Calaveras to speak with the office manager again, she apologized and said she forgot to talk to the doctor last week. After the call, the office manager apparently called Dr. Bajwa and updated the doctor on the situation. I received a call back from the office manager and said the Dr. Bajwa will call me first thing Thursday morning when he returns to the office.11/18: Follow-up appointment for my pet to make sure the pneumonia is cleared, the bill was $500.11/19: No call from the doctor as promised.11/24: Didnt hear back from the doctor or anyone from the clinic.The result is a $2,800 mistake and pet that felt miserable for 2 weeks. She is just finally starting to resume her daily activities.

The staff was friendly and pleasant to deal with. Easy transaction. Dr. Anderson was superb and handled my two cats with ease and care. We’ve been seeing him for 20 years! No complaints whatsoever.

The staff and Dr. Anderson have always been the best! Everyone has always been very accommodating with my year and a half daughter and always treat her well and she has fun when we take our dog Oscar there. What a fantastic team! My 8 year old Cavalier Spaniel needed multiple teeth removed and it was handled with lots of TLC. Dr Anderson is so knowledgeable and not only explained everything about her treatment and surgery but in the preliminary x-ray found her heart to be enlarged and spoke to me in depth about this. 5 stars and more.

I have taken my dog, Penelope, many many times here and they treat her so well. The last time I went was for a dental cleaning and they left my girls teeth sparkly clean and fresh breath!!. They did a beautiful job with her as well as cut her nails. ❤️❤️❤️

We recently moved to Milpitas and it was hard for us to decide on which vet clinic to take our cats to, especially since theyve been receiving such amazing care from our previous doctors. The bar was set high from the start, but Im so glad that Calaveras Vet Clinic did not disappoint! So far Ive taken my cat Thor for multiple visits: check-up, vaccines, dental cleaning, and a small growth removal. All services were done with great care and I was promptly kept in the loop for any changes or updates during the procedure. They are fully transparent with the cost breakdown and always ask for my OK on what I want to get done and when. Big thank you to clinics awesome staff!

Staff were very attentive and approachable. They clearly care deeply about the animals that come into their care-- with an added bonus of the facility even having two separate entrances for cats and dogs just in case. They helped to care for my 9 y/o cat when she was vomiting and also referred me to an equally professional and friendly specialist/veterinary center when potential concerns come up from an xray. I plan to go to this clinic for future check-ups and illnesses for my cat.

Its hard to find a good vet. It is even harder to find a great rabbit savvy vet. My bunnies are very lucky to Dr. Anderson care for them.

Pam; vet assistant is absolutely amazing and has been for more than decade. She was super accommodating and willing to squeeze us in first thing on a Monday morning. We have used the Calaveras Veterinary Clinic for over 20 years and Dr. Anderson has always treated all our pets as if they were his own and I am sure the owners will do so as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I have been using Calaveras Veterinary Clinic for my cats since 2004. Dr. Anderson is a kind man who always has the pets best interests in mind. He doesnt prescribe things your pet doesnt need and his prices are reasonable. When it comes time for a pet to cross the rainbow bridge he will let you know that further treatment will just extend your pets suffering and cost you money, you can see the hurt in his eyes when he tells you that but he doesnt try to drag things out just to get your money. Dr. Anderson will likely be retiring soon, Ive seen the new vet once and he seemed okay, well see what happens. Hopefully the new vet will carry on with the quality of care Ive historically associated with Calaveras Veterinary Clinic.

It was my first visit to Calavaees clinic with my cat. I could say that the service exceeded all my expectations . Our dog Nemo has been seen by Dr Andersen for years. Now, with Dr Bajwa and amongst all the easy/fast and tough/long appointments he’s been seen for - everything from regular check ups to more complex surgeries (removing a growth on his nose) the clinic has been professional and courteous.There was a time when release paperwork wasn’t given but it was made up to us immediately.I have to give a special shout out to Crystal - the office manager - she is absolutely amazing....Most definitely one of the friendliest people I have ever met. It truly seems like she loves animals much less is there to make your experience at the vets office, a five star one. They are lucky to have her run the clinic.

Never had a bad visit here, both for minor surgery and checkups. My veterinarian was knowledgeable, surgery staff treated Mobey really well (he came out looking very happy) and the rest of the staff have always been responsive

Very unfriendly staff here. I will never bring my beloved dog Louie here ever again for a check up. Unsatisfactory 100%. The employees here seem to hate their jobs and hate animals judging by their attitudes and the way they barely even greet you as you walk in the door. We have been going to Dr. Anderson with our beloved dog Lily for a year now and Ive been very happy and grateful for him. He was highly recommended by our trainer. Ive had animals my entire life so Ive seen a few bad vets in my time and I can say that Dr. Anderson is one of the best. He is very competent, super kind and present with with his clients and animals. He never rushes you out and he is a great listener. You can discuss health matters and also training and behavioral issues with him. He is very caring, authentic and honest and seems to really enjoy his work. We met Calaveras Veterinary Clinic due to our previous vet doctor retiring. Upon hearing this, we met Vet Doctor B who helped us with our Missy Midnight (cat). Turns out, Doctor B’s main clinic is located in Miltipas. Our cat required daily fluids that we learned wasn’t going to be easy. Upon going to a new clinic, we were uncertain if our cat would feel comfortable around new physicians. To our surprise, Missy warmed up to Candy who gave her the fluids. We are truly greatful that Calaveras Clinic has such a patient, kind and wonderful staff whom our loved one warmed up too. Before I went to the the Calaveras Vet Clinic, I was so concern that my puppy may become too excited or aggressive. But the clinic staff and doctor were so nice to my puppy and my first time to a vet clinic was quickly turned into a happy moment.

Took my rabbit here because of a lump on his belly. Dr. Anderson and his staff completely exceeded my expectations of a veterinary clinic. My bunny is 7 years old, and has seen many doctors but Dr. Anderson was by far the most patient and thorough doctor Ive been to. He went over ALL the options with us: biopsy, blood work, surgery, and even what would happen if we chose to do nothing. He gave my family plenty of time to decide what the best option for Mr. Magic would be, no pressure, and he made sure to spend as much time with us answering questions as we needed. Its difficult to find a vet that treats rabbits, but Dr. Anderson is very knowledgeable and has the best prices out of any vet in the area (I called around to 7 different offices.) I wont take my baby anywhere else. His staff made us feel so welcome and it was overall the best veterinary experience Ive had since becoming a rabbit mom. Thank you Calaveras Veterinary Clinic!

Dropped my cat off for xrays in the morning, never heard back after calling multiple times throughout the day. We finally decided to show up just before they closed to make sure we picked up our cat. Xrays had been done, we were never notified. Doctor is good but the office seems chaotic every time we go. Not what Id call a healing environment.

Dr. Anderson cared more about my dog and his medical history than most doctors have cared about me. My poodle is a rescue with an injured leg, and Dr. Anderson took the time to go over his medical history, and how his condition changed over time. After getting x-rays done, Dr. Anderson sent them one of his radiologist friends to get a second opinion, free of charge. Could not be more impressed.
