I had my first visit and was crazy long overdue for a haircut. They took me from looking like a wild animal to civilized. The place was warm and welcoming and trendy. The staff was very helpful and kind. They came highly recommended and I can see why.

I have been a very loyal Local Honey customer since 2017 when I sent my groomsmen to get cuts for my wedding. I was very impressed with the skills of their stylists, and their attention to detail, as well as the atmosphere.I was equally impressed with their COVID precautions and their care for the health and well-being of their stylists and customers throughout this pandemic.However, it seems they have given up on their commitment to customers. I have been visiting religiously for every 3 weeks for almost two years (and every 4 weeks before that.) In the past two months, I have had receptionists fail to schedule my appointments as requested, resulting in a two week delay. After that delay, I received a phone call two days before my scheduled appointment informing me that my stylist was leaving and that they would be cancelling my appointment and I would have to find another stylist.I went through the trouble of finding a stylist that fit, booked them out through the remainder of 2021, and today when my appointment finally arrived, I received an email of all things (not a phone call) telling me that my appointment today is cancelled.I will be looking for a new salon that is capable of holding their appointments.

This is a true salon. Rustic modern charm and professional stylists. This is the type of place I take my wife and daughter to to get the best hairstyles and treatment.

Amazing! Great facilities. Polite and very helpful staff. Stylist really took her time listening and discussing before starting to cut. First pass at the cut was great and she was completely happy to go over it all again to shorten it up a bit. Covid safety protocols were very good. I felt safe and valued, even though I was a first time customer.

I had my hair colored back in December, very great staff and were very nice. I am only writing this review because I have been calling for a week now to get only a haircut, and no one ever answers the phone. I left a message stating for them to call me back asap. Never received a call in regards to that. Called again today on my day off and still no answer and it went straight to voicemail. What is the purpose of having front desk staff if they won’t answer? I’ve been in their salon before and there is always someone up front. I get that it is busy, no doubt but everytime I have called it was early morning or later in the afternoon, regardless no answer. I called another place and they fit me in.Edit in: if that’s the case of that “you’re busy” then you wouldn’t have time to reply to a review an hour later. With 2 people answering phones, and open all days of week then someone must have heard a voicemail and took into consideration of calling back, but obviously not. Before trying to be rude and smart, there is no venting shown, just leaving a terrible review for lack of communication on your side. Regardless this place is very rude and unprofessional.

I just moved here and waited 2 months with grown out roots, so that I could be seen at the best salon possible. After waiting so long for my appointment, I was told the day prior that my stylist was unavailable and promptly rescheduled for 2 weeks out. The day prior to THTA appointment, I received an email that she would no longer be working there, and I needed to see a higher level stylist due to the complexity of coloring my hair darker, back to my original color, brown. (?) The salon owner told me she would get back to me as to when I could get a new appointment, and the next day emailed me to say that I should just be seen at a different salon. Extremely unprofessional, especially considering I was not cancelled on once, but twice.

Kristin did a fantastic job with my color and cut. I greatly appreciate when a stylist lets me relax without the pressure to have a conversation. I believe that the brand of styling products they use was not compatible with my very fine hair as it weighed my hair down very quickly after leaving the salon, but an overall great experience.

Love the atmosphere over at Local Honey - I dont trust anyone else with my curly hair other than Bethany! She is so amazing and always gives me the style and color I am looking for. Definitely recommend this business to someone looking for a new salon or stylist. You wont regret it!

KC is the absolute best! I haven’t been in to see her in over a year but she treated me like an old friend, remembering things we talked about at my last appointment. KC has great product knowledge and was so sweet in helping me choose products to recreate my style at home and take care of my hair. I received a cut and highlights from Stephanie. She was amazing! She listened to what I wanted and made sure we were on the same page before starting. Her work was also excellent. Very gentle and detail oriented. The salon was also following the proper covid protocols to keep everyone safe.

This was my first time at Local Honey. I really enjoyed the atmosphere as soon as I walked in. Megan cut my hair and made sure to consult with me first with what I wanted to do to my hair and would ask again after shampooing my hair, which I thought was nice. The price for a wash, cut, and style was right on average with other places I’ve been. I’ll definitely be back!

First, they maintain good COVID procedures and I felt safe. Stacy is my stylist and she is amazing. So detail oriented and really takes her time to make sure its right. I love my cut and I know Im>n good hands when I go there so its worth spending a little extra on a cut.

It’s always been such a struggle for me to find someone who can highlight blonde hair correctly. I don’t like the straight demarcation line grow out, I wanted something that blends nicely and is low maintenance as my hair grows. This is exactly what I’ve received my past 2 appointments, I am SO thankful to have finally found Kelly. Every 3 months she highlights and tones my hair making me feel brightened again. Her kindness and interpersonal skills are are an added bonus!! In terms of the salon—they have recently added barriers to separate each booth and every stylist/client was wearing a mask throughout the appointment making me feel extremely safe and relaxed. 10/10 recommend!

Went in for a haircut on Oct 12th, after looking for a barbershop of salon all day that could get me in. I called and was received with such kindness i knew this was the place. My appointment was with Kristin Fuller and my haircut was great! Better than the haircut however was the way experience is what will keep me coming back. I was treated like I had been coming there my whole life. Unknown to Kristin i wasnt having the best day but she let me talk and feel very welcomed. I will definitely be coming back and recommend them highly!

It was amazing. Stephanie is wonderful and gentle with hair. She has a great personality that anyone would love. My color covered my gray perfectly. She takes the time to talk with you about what you like for you hair. They Local Honey Salon is very inviting.

I got a haircut at local honey for the first time. They have taken all precautions a business possibly can, to make it a safe place during a pandemic. Everyone wears masks, they do temperature checks, all surfaces are sanitized and there are there are makeshift cubicle-like plastic separators for each station.Also, the service is great. Stephanie worked on my hair and did an absolutely amazing job.

If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely awful experience when attempting to call and schedule an appointment. I was treated with utter disregard as I was hung up on multiple times by a lady named Laura. I really dont see how it is considered acceptable to treat your customers in this way. Truly unprofessional. I will never step foot in this place. Id like to stay far away from people with such an ugly attitude like this woman who answered the phone. If you dont like being hung up on or brushed off as if you werent an important customer, than this place is not for you. Just shocked at the customer service.

As a new mom I was looking for a change but also something I could maintain. Marissa gave me the perfect lived in look. My hair went from boring and dull to fun and full of life. And the best part is, it looks super natural and effortless! I highly recommend Marissa and the salon.

I have been trying to find a good place in GSO for haircut and I have no doubt to recommend this place. Side note they treat Covid-19 serious, feel safe during my stay.

Second time Ive been here and I am very happy with the result! They are very professional and KC does great work.

I am not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to be said and documented. I went to stylist Erin to have my hair highlighted. She told me the style I wanted was “dated” and would not do what I asked her to do but instead said to trust her she knew what to do. I left with very gold/orange highlights when I had shown her pictures of platinum blonde highlights. Erin said that she could fix it by trying to lift the highlights lighter but I left the second time with the same orange hair and more damage. I contacted Erin and requested a refund. She told me Laura the “office manager” would handle it and then blocked me. Laura agreed to send me a check for reimbursement but after 3 1/2 weeks of waiting for it I called to ask why I had not received it. Laura became very rude and stated “I’m not mailing out another check”. I asked to speak to J the “owner” and she said “I will tell him you called but if I were you I wouldn’t expect a return call from him”. Again she said she would not write another check because J told her not to. She then hung up the phone on me! This place is extremely unprofessional. The stylist are lacking the experience and the owner and manager are rude and demeaning. Also, if you don’t like dogs, avoid this place because they have dogs that walk freely around the salon. Definitely go somewhere else! There are plenty of salons in Greensboro to choose from.

This was my first time getting my whole head bleached and getting a full head of an unnatural color and Shea did a KILLER job. I was shocked seeing myself after because it was a big change but now over gotten use to it and its one of the best decisions Ive ever made. Shea had an appointment right after our session and I knew she was in a rush but she still took her time out to curl my hair ( I really love my hair curly and a salon appointment is not complete for me without it ). She used Oribe hairspray and the curls have lasted a week ( I go a week without washing my hair ).

This was my first time at this lovely salon! I got my haircut with Janeth and had the best experience Ive ever had at a hair salon yet! I have long, thick hair that often stylists are not used to and worry which causes me to worry, Janeth was not like that and related to my hair problems often. She didnt criticize my self-cut quarantine bangs and made them look much much better and blend seamlessly into my hair. She did a great job on explaining everything she planned to do and again while executing it. Conversations with her were easy flowing; I found it easy to ask her questions about products and how to go about color with my dark hair. I would highly recommend her and this spot overall. All staff were as friendly and welcoming as the environment! The health and safety procedures were great as well!

Today was my 1st time coming to Local Honey Salon and it was the best experience ever! The salon was very clean and professional. During this pandemic the salon is taking their proper precautions by having each client wash their hands which I think is a fabulous idea. (Masks are been worn) The ladies made me feel very welcomed. I was so amazed at the full on service that they provided, I had never experienced in previous hair salons. Janeth Ochoa is one of the best! She took her time, talked to me about how I wanted my hair. Before she cut she’s ask how short or long I wanted it. She was very patient and is very committed to her work. Overall a wonderful experience and I will be returning to Local Honey Salon.

So today I had the pleasure of having Shea (an absolute free spirit) cut and style my hair. My very thick and very long unruly hair was out of control and Shea was able to bring it back. The business is clean and courteous and doing their best to keep everyone happy during this time of covid.

I love this salon 🥰 Ive gotten my hair washed, cut, and styled there several times over the years and am forever impressed. The salon itself is beautiful and everyone is lovely! Pre-COVID-19 they would actually give you tea and local honey which was AMAZING! (Or other beverages you might like too.). Now, during COVID, everything feels the same but is also visibly different. They have plastic barriers up, I watched them disinfect frequently, and all their COVID policies were top-notch and executed well. I really dont think Ill ever go anywhere else while I live here 😊.

Local Honey is the place to go if you’re looking for a clean and safe place to get your hair done, and done right! Erin is fantastic. She was able to blend my dark roots into my bleached white hair perfectly, and corrected my mullet-like haircut! She listened to every concern I had. She’s easy to talk to and I really loved how non-aggressive she was with my hair. I always hate getting my hair shampooed at the bowl because my hair is so thick, people end up basically showering my face and hurting my head. But not this time. I almost fell asleep! It was like a head massage! Just wonderful. My hair looks not only so much better than before but it actually looks amazing in general!I also have to praise them for the way they do their pricing. They make sure you know that based on the stylist’s tier you’ll be paying more or less, so the reviews where people are saying they paid too much, they knew what they were paying. When you come in they write up exactly what you’ll be getting and give you the price for that, and you sign it before they even begin. No hidden fees. No being charged for having thick hair. No surprises.Ok I know this is long but also their COVID safety measures are outstanding. Everyone is required to wear masks. You wait in your car until they tell you to come in, immediately have your temperature taken touch-less, and wash your hands. The stations have partitions up, and the shampoo stations have very large partitions for extra safety. I so appreciate them taking everything so seriously.My search for a new salon (and stylist) is over!

Stacy is by far the rudest hairstylist I have EVER been too! Not only did she butcher my hair, she was rude and very unprofessional. I will never return here.I came here to get a pixie cut. I decided to go to this salon for color due to the high reviews and I am so glad that I did. I have been getting my hair colored here by Janeth and it looks amazing every time, I was told before my visit that she was good with color and it has shown. The receptionist’s/stylists are always nice and I am always offered a drink/coffee during my visit. I am picky about going to salons, especially with color but I have been beyond happy with this one!

I showed Emily a bunch of pictures of what I liked and didn’t like and she cut my hair to perfection! Very happy, so I already booked my next appointment. I’ve been to many salons around Greensboro after moving here a few years ago and finally feel like I’ve found my spot! Highly recommend :)

Love this place! Lauren is an artist and really cares about the people she is working with and really listens to what your needs/wants are. I am a busy person and sometimes I need an appt on a week when Lauren is booked. If someone else is available I will have them cut and style my hair. I have always been very happy with other stylist also. Everyone is so talented there! This is truly and exceptional place.

I’ve been coming to Local Honey for over a year now, and I’ve never left dissatisfied. Having a hair type that is pretty difficult to work with, Kelly has always been extremely patient with any questions I have, and she gives great style suggestions. I’d definitely suggest giving both her and Local Honey a try!Also, If you’re an herbal tea fan, ask for the chamomile if it’s in stock. Having your hair done while drinking it is a relaxing experience, especially after a long work day :)

I have never had such unprofessional service in my life. I was told the cut and dye would take two hours max, and three hours later I was left with this. Dye on my face and neck, and she didnt even style it because I was already late for work. I never got an answer when I called to complain, and I wont be back. Update: I was told a more experienced stylist would correct the mistakes however that took awhile to do as appointments were rescheduled multiple times due to the pandemic. The day I was to finally go in I was told there was a new owner and I would not be compensated for my previous experience, and was recommended to go to another salon that I could afford. What a classist company unwilling to take accountability for their own mistakes.

To have the patience to cut a 5 year olds hair is one thing but to have the patience to talk through actually getting a haircut with a 5 year old is completely different. Kristen went above and beyond with our long and curly haired son AND his mother to make sure they were 100% satisfied with the cut.

As an out of state bride I was really nervous about booking a salon site unseen. As soon as I saw Local Honeys website and spoke to Jordan on the phone I was reassured that salon could handle the different types of hair and different styles my girls wanted. We had a great experience. The salon was professional, clean, affordable and very up to date on trends and styles. Also, Marisa who did my hair did a great job! I highly recommend.

The salon is really nice. The staff was kind and inviting, service was great all around. I had the lowest level stylist and was very happy with the end product. However it was more expensive than I was anticipating and while I liked it, I’ll go elsewhere to fit my budget. I got a cut, toner, and root cover for $150. They also cut curly hair properly! I’m sure it was fair (not saying i was over charged) just too costly for me.

Loved the cozy atmosphere (esp with the real Christmas tree and Christmas music playing!) as well as the aesthetic. Also enjoyed my hair stylist, Erin, who is a pro at color and cuts! Ive never been, but Ive heard they have many community events within the salon, which is different than any other local salon.

My sister was at local honey getting her hair cut and styled. I went for moral support. All of the staff were so friendly, nice and professional! The lady that cut and styled my sisters hair did such an amazing job! I was so happy to have gone with her and I am now getting ready to make an appointment there myself!

I have been seeing Lauren for years to get my hair cut and colored, and I could not be happier! She is such a hard worker, and SO incredibly talented! She has never once given me a bad product or style recommendation! At this point, if she told me that my hair would look best dyed purple with a mohawk, I would do it! I trust her 100% with my hair, and with product recommendations. I had no idea that products could make such a huge difference in how my hair looks and feels. It is the healthiest it has ever been, thanks to Local Honey! I love Jays sense of humor, and being greeted by Jordan, or another one of the crew. The atmosphere is fantastic, and they actually carry local honey from hives in the triad. If you havent been, you need to go to Local Honey! You will not be disappointed!
