Best cut Ive had in a while. I have been searching for a true barbershop that gives a man a quality cut and straight razor shave. Oh and they give u a couple minute deep tissue massage at the end. Fan for life.Update : I truly wish there were more stars to select. After not returning for probably about 3 months I was floored that the barber remembered who I was not only that remembered our previous conversation. I still cant get over how much he remembered. It was like I had been going there for years.

I like the haircut and been going few years but they are not enforcing the covid mask rules. Even when I asked my barber if they were enforcing he just eluded that his partners did not allow the customers to be questioned about following the rules. Probably will not return till covid is over. Have to prioritize my sons health over his haircut.

Old folk love to let younger people wait. Had an appointment for 4, showed up at 4:05 (dang, my bad, sorry Im an essential worker), saw two barbers sitting around doing nothing, waited 15 minutes, some other shmuck shows up late for their apt and gets seated right away, so I waited a little longer and then left. All good, theres other barbers, this place isnt anything special... no hard feelings 👍

After years of paying upwards of $40.00 at a salon, a friend recommended Genes. He had been getting his hair cut from John ( South Vietnamese who was a POW) and what a great haircut! Along with the haircut, he trims by eyebrows, nose hair and even cuts the tiny hairs in your ears! The massage is the icing on top. Been a loyal customer for 10 years now. Friendliest and nicest folks in town. IF I could give a star rating, definitely would be 5.

Been going here for about a year and have no complaints whatsoever. Easy to get a walk-in or scheduled appointment. Cheap prices but high-quality cuts. Just what youd expect from a quintessential old-school community barber shop. They use a straight-razor for fine work, and end sessions with a quick massage using a contraption that looks more like it was made for buffing a car, but trust me — itll make a grown man cry — and itll make your day.

My first haircut was done here. Almost 40 years later still cant beat it. Now both me and my son get our haircuts at Genes, he loves the Saturday morning doughnuts too! Just cant beat a good old fashion barbershop.

Very friendly group of barbers. I got a nice, clean cut, complete with straight razor on back of neck and sideburns along with a back massage for $12. Easy parking. Walk-ins welcome but best to make an appointment.

What a fantastic experience! Reminded me of a barber shop my grandfather would take me to as a little kid! CALLED AHEAD to make sure there would be an appointment available, which there was, and they had a chair waiting for me when I walked in. Frank welcomed me with a handshake and a warm smile. He did a great job on the haircut and finished it off with a warm straight razor neck shave and a brief massage. They had plenty of fresh donuts and bottles of Cheerwine in the cooler! I will return if Im ever in the area again!

As I sat here waiting for my partners cut to finish, I observed everyone elses haircut and every single one looked great & top notch. They also give a small neck and shoulder massage when theyre done. Take note, CASH ONLY. So I sat here for a bit while my partner went to the atm.

Wonderful!! Have been taking my teenage boys there for 5 years. Everyone that works there does a fabulous job on their hair, my sons are PICKY!! They also will give a hot towel on the face and a nice old fashioned shave. Very professional and a haircut is only $13. Would definately reccomend over Great Clips or any of thise other places.

Classic Barber Shop with all the works !!!

I was home on leave and wanted to find a place I could get a good haircut before going back. I found this place on Google Maps and read that they knew how to do regulation cuts. I lucked out as a walk-in getting Frank. Hes been there since 1961. He told me his dad was a Ranger in World War II after I told him that I was headed to Ft. Benning for Infantry Officer Basic and Ranger School after I graduate in May. After a great high fade, neck shave, and massage, he wouldnt let me pay. I told him Id definitely be back when I was in town - he won me as a customer. Cant recommend this place enough.

I returned from Atlanta after 20 years and was thrilled to see the place hasnt changed one bit. No one anywhere has ever cut my hair as good as this crowd. I remember when the got the drink box back in the 1960s and I am loving the fact that it still runs. (although drinks arent 15 cents)
